Can You Use Destiny Bond, Pain Split and MORE on Dynamax Pokemon? - Sword and Shield

May 31, 2021
Hi, I'm Mike Punkie tips Mike and last week I made a video where I experimented with some moves in Pokémon

dynamax

x like one hit ko moves and I even transformed into Pokémon Dynomax. In the comments of that video, many of you recommended

more

moves for He Asked Me to Try It, so today we are going to try out even

more

moves and see what happens when they are used in Pokémon Dynomax, so let's start today with this Gengar. Now Gengar has always been with my favorite Pokémon and you could. Get some cool moves that I think will be really fun to try out on a Dynomax Pokémon.

The first move we will try is Damn. Now Curse is a pretty strange move when you use it and you're a Ghost-type Pokémon. Cuts your HP and a half but places a curse on the Pokémon you use it on. Now the cursed Pokémon at the end of each turn receives a quarter of its health as damage, so in 4 turns if you don't change your Pokémon. fainting from full health if cursed now that works on a Dynomax Pokémon, that means we should be able to knock out any Dynomax Pokémon in 4 turns so you know that won't work like that.

More Interesting Facts About,

I'm curious to see if the curse works. Pokémon Dynomax at all, so let's take on this Dynomax is a - and let's use the move curse, come on, creepy guy, okay, vials we press again, they'll pair us up with that vile, it seems like every time we get him on our team and let's go ahead and first let's review and see what happens if we try Dynomax to once again become the ultimate guard. I think that's to be expected, so let's go ahead and use the curse now since Gengar is so fast We should go first, yeah, and put this curse on Zhou.

Okay, it looks like it's really working. Yes, we cut our health and put a curse on Zhou. So how much damage will the exoti take from the curse if it requires a quarter of his health would be crazy or could he do that, what the hell was that? Why did it do so little damage? Come on gang gar, you gave up half your health and just did what was that 1/16 1/32 I don't know what kind of curse it is, more like a minor inconvenience, like having your shoe untied, it's annoying, but you know you can tie it up and fix it so yeah my friends use curses and max raid battles its horrible.

So next, we're all in this battle, we might as well try the Links of Fate move. Now Bonds of Fate is another nifty move where when you use it, the next move your opponent makes, if they knock you out, it will knock them out as well. Also if this works it will be very good in raid battles, however I doubt it's going to work and we also have to be lucky enough that this thing actually attacks us so okay it's attacking us and we pass out before that we can use it. It's okay in every set of the battle against za2 because we fainted and also thought that the heels could block the fate

bond

so let's try again to use that move okay gang gar use the fate

bond

s and aw I guess it blocks The movement was blocked by the power of Dynomax.
Next we are going to try this amazing new Pokémon. Fievel now Fievel knows two interesting moves here, imitation and thief, and they both have to do with your opponent's elements. Imitation is a really good and competitive Pokémon because what do you use movement imitation for? It actually gets rid of your opponent's item thief. On the other hand, when you use it, it steals the opponent's item. Now for some reason when you use these moves or any other moves to have anything to do with an object. a Pokémon Dynomax there's a really weird reaction let's look at it uh-oh and we're back to this again if you saw in the last video where I was trying weird stuff you'll remember we had a bit of The fiasco is happening be careful anyway let's move on and wow, just start with the

shield

, that's kind of cool, but let's go ahead and try the move imitation first, so if we go for the imitation in battle, it immediately fails, that kind of sucks, but maybe the thief will do something better, let's go ahead and try, be careful, so Fievel will use the thief, but no, no, once again he fails.
I don't know why these moves immediately fail on a Dynomax Pokémon because normally even if the Pokémon using these moves isn't holding an object, they still deal damage, they aren't totally useless, but for some reason in Dynomax battles these moves just don't do absolutely anything. nothing. I mean, that wouldn't be so bad overall in the game, let me know. that, but the only way for you to really find out is to use these moves on your own in the game or watch this video, so it's a nice little PSA for you guys because I know a lot of Pokémon will run the Move knockoff don't use it. in x-ray battles because it will just crash and the game doesn't even tell you, though, to make things a little confusing if you get into a battle against a real person, like an online or local battle. you could actually use a knockoff or a thief against a Dynomax err Giganta Max Pokémon.
It's only in max raid battles where this doesn't seem to work. I don't know why it doesn't work in max raid battles, but in online battles. works well now as this care starts the raid battle immediately with four

shield

s up. I think this is the perfect time to try something that many of you asked me to do in the last video, which is to try out multi-hit moves on the shield. So for this little demo, I have a cloister here who knows the Icicle Spear move. Now Icicle Spear is one of those moves that can hit two to five times and I'm also combining it with the skill link that guarantees it's going to hit five times.
In theory, you'd think using this move on a shield would break all five. shields, which would be awesome, but unfortunately, as Thanos once said, reality is often disappointing, let's check it out, so the cloister is pretty fast, so he'll go first. this battle, so we go for an icicle spear and a boom, that's a shield down and there goes another move, but unfortunately it's not breaking more than one shield bar. I don't know that for me, it looks a little strange how it keeps hitting the care and that shield animation keeps appearing but honestly it doesn't break any more shields, if I were in charge of designing the game I would make it so that the movements of Multiple hits would break more than one shield at a time.
I think they'll be a really cool way. To make them more viable for raids, we have another highly requested test up next, so in my last video I tested and saw if we could use ditto to transform into a Dynomax Pokémon. Now Dido doesn't directly transform into a Dynomax Pokémon, but once she copies the Pokémon, she still has the Dynomax ability, so she can essentially transform into a Dynomax Pokémon that way, but many of you in the comment want to know if it does. I could do the same thing but instead copy a gigantic max Pokémon and I want to know this too, so here I have a raid battle, Ian's Giganta max Snorlax, Kol Aryan Torterra, ready and let's jump in with my impostor ditto, okay , given it will transform into that Snorlax.
The first part of the plan worked perfectly. and now we have the ability to be dynamic so let's go ahead and see if we can actually do it and here it looks like maybe we can't do it because I'm looking at maximum movement and I know that normally it would be like G. max to replenish so let's go ahead and let's do it anyway but I don't think it's going to work now and that's really really sad but come on maybe we'll see a Pokemon G max right now don't let me down buddy oh no everyone. true, it seems like we can't copy Pokémon Giganta max with the same thing, that actually makes sense to me because in the game there is a special flag that needs to be activated so that your Pokémon can reach Giganta max, that's why some Pokémon like a Pikachu and a normal Eevee can't max out Giganta but when you get her special event forms they can so basically she doesn't have that special flag so I guess that's why it doesn't happen and actually to test that theory , I'm going to do something a little special here so here's my idea so I use some game modding tools to give this ditto the Giganta max flags so this is a ditto that can max out Giganta now if I go ahead and fight and try to I can't max this ditto because I know this is going to be the big question, it's still going to look exactly like a Dynomax ditto, nothing special happening there, but I'm thinking that because this ditto has the effects flag from Jacobs when you take him into battle against the Snorlax, he could actually turn into a gigantic form, so let's see if this works well now, for the moment of truth, let's press the Dynomax button and no, unfortunately it looks like it won't even work with the giant flag set up. it's still going to turn into the normal Snorlax, ah, I was really thinking it was going to work, so not even the mods the same thing are transforming into a gigantic Expo.
Alright, next we're going to try the creepy guy with his hands here and we. I'm going to try the move Pain Splints again, it's another one of those moves that can theoretically do a lot of damage, you basically add your HP and your opponent's HP and divide it by two and then both Pokémon should basically have the same move. The same amount of HP is a really good move to heal your Pokémon and do some damage to the other when you're already low on health, so I did a little prep and brought Twilightnoir 226 HP, so we should be able to jump into this . raid battle and do a lot of damage oh look at the most active ones there they are like cheering me on they are like if you can do this Mike you can do this again this is another one of those things where I wonder how much damage it is going to do to the Snorlax, We all know by now that these clever moves aren't going to generate a ridiculous amount of HP.
I don't know exactly how much HP Giganta max Snorlax has, but I know it has a lot more HP. that my nightfall from here and I just realized that they cured me, that's not why I wanted to, I prepared myself for nothing, well, let's go divide the

pain

t anyway and see what happens and we are faster than everything, well , Snorlax is quite slow and does a bit of damage to the Snorlax, not that much, although again I hope this Snorlax can hit me with something, since I would like to see if it does more damage when my health is lower, okay, so Now our health is a little less.
Go divide the

pain

again and see if there are any noticeable differences. Okay, we're healing decent amounts, but it doesn't really seem like it's doing a huge amount of damage. Snorlax isn't a bad move, although it could definitely be worse. and last but not least, let's try toxic movement and max raid battles. Now I know this move is going to work. We can always put status conditions on maximum speed Pokémon without any problem. What I want to see is if the toxic damage keeps increasing each time. One turn, let's figure out, okay, turn 1, let's hit him with that toxic and at the end of the turn it doesn't do much, wait a second, the toxic just disappeared.
Maybe I missed something there, but the poison was completely gone. He looked back. In the pictures and Snorlax did that thing where it overrides my Pokémon's stat and ability changes and right after that it just cured itself of the toxic substance out of nowhere, the game didn't say it cured itself, the toxic status just disappeared . that's really strange, let me use toxic one more time if I could do that, then it's definitely not worth using toxic or anything like that in these reign battles. Wow okay I use toxic again and on turn 2 it still does absolutely no damage so it seems like in raids the toxic damage doesn't increase which means toxic is just another one of those moves that isn't really worth it use on max raids.
I'm actually a little surprised because I thought of all the moves that The Proven Toxic would be the one that works the most like normal, but even that one is strange in these max raid battles, so my friends, at this point, I think I covered almost all interesting moves, but if they have other moves, they want to see me. Try the max raid battles, let me know in the comments section, as always my friends, thank you very much for watching the video, especially since you made it to the end, if you enjoyed it and haven't given it a thumbs up yet. right now also subscribe to the channel if you are new and want to see more Pokémon content follow me on instagram at pokey tips Mike and my friends see you next time
