A quick disclaimer, I am in no way telling anyone here in the US to break the trunk as everyone knows it is a federal crime to remove emissions from your vehicle and we are also specifically talking about the race of Duramax power on Cummins. like some other diesel engines that are on the

market

, so this is more specifically geared towards Chevy Dodge Ford Mercedes Nissan Titan, things like that, so we'll cover all of that, but I think this is a good talking point because it's not illegal Talk about it. but it is illegal to

I highly recommend you check these people out. In fact, I'll leave that link in the description as well, so check them out if you If you're new to diesel, this might not make much sense to you because we're going to talk about acronyms, for example, DPF gr. A DPF is a diesel particulate filter that is connected to the exhaust and is basically there to bag everything. The black smoke that is supposed to come out of the tailpipe is essentially supposed to burn cleanly, but if you remove it and close the EGR valve, it will allow your diesel truck to run much better and much cleaner. get better MPG as well as horsepower and just overall drivability and reliability, so this is by far the best option they have as far as doing this remotely and doing it in your garage, but again, I am not encouraging anyone to break the law.

It is simply information that can help you better, but of course this is all up to you on how you want to use this information, but be careful, there are a lot of risks involved now. I am not going to cover your 2017 plus Duramax 66 liter. motors I have an update on that and I plan to make a separate YouTube video out of it and I think you guys are really going to love it. For some of you who own these l5p Duramaxes, this thread will come back and from Chevy Dodge and Ford, so if I didn't mention your manufacturer's model, keep watching until the end because I'll probably go ahead and touch it up, but I think you guys will really enjoy this style of podcast. record voice from my cell phone so bear with the audio and we're going to go ahead and go through all the details so let's get into it so I've got Jake here on the phone how are you doing Jake so tell me what do you want? do what you provide so that our main

trucks

right now we can service our Duramaxes from 2001 to 2023 and we also make Cummins virtually all of the 6.7 and 5.9 meter Cummins that we can handle, except for the At the time of this recording I don't have anything for the new 2022 or 2023 although people ask us daily we are still working on it and then for the power hits we can help any of the 6.4 liters and all the 6.7 liters, so until 2022 right now we can do a full

tune

up plus obviously the exhaust and EGR systems for those and then we have some other

trucks

that maybe aren't as popular as we can service those two so we have everything that you need for a Nissan Titan Cummins, all you need for the Colorado and Canyon Duramax 2.8 liter is and we can also help you with all trucks with EcoDiesel engines, as well as the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, the Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel and this one is new in the Edition, but the real Wrangler and Gladiator ecodiesels we can do it too and then also, it's kind of an aside, we can provide complete exhaust systems and tuning for the Sprinter vents, so the Mercedes Springer trucks, but almost All other tuners on our site are preloaded, which means the tune is already on the device and you simply plug it into your truck via the OBD2 port and install the tune and that's it, or if you don't need some kind of reading, it's really simple. no laptop or anything required, and we are very transparent in our product descriptions about which tutors require which steps, everything includes instructions, and obviously, and this is like the bottom line that I want everyone listening to this to remember, just give us a call if you have questions.
We have a team that is here to answer all your questions and it doesn't matter if you are a one season diesel expert or this is your first diesel truck and you have no idea what you are doing, we can get you sorted. which component is best for you, which trimmer is best for you and which options are best for you, and we are not ashamed to tell you to choose one tuner over the other for particular reasons, as I believe when Josh and I originally spoke, I told you Tell You know the Minimax is very popular but we don't always recommend it for all trucks, we recommend it for some trucks, it's our number one pick for some of them but for others it's just not the right choice because it has known bugs. or you have limitations and we'll just tell you right up front we'll tell you what the best option is in our professional opinion and then it's up to you as a consumer to listen to that opinion or you know, go in the direction you want.
I feel like it's better for you uh we're pretty biased about the two tunes that we recommend on our site, specifically the 07.5 for LML um so basically the later DPF. I know the lbz are 070607, they don't have DPS, it's just a I noticed on your website there is a simple EGR system with the h s programmer, which has some kind of package kit that works with those type of trucks, like this which I guess I would just connect it like you said to the OBD2 on the H S Mini Max. you have the tunes preloaded on the hns as it's a simple traditional where you can turn off the EGR and the DPF and you offer the boost pipe basically to get rid of the DPF it's that right yeah yeah yeah so it's a good question. because we get this all the time, basically, if your truck is loaded with a factory EGR with a GPS shutdown system, when you install our tune, it turns everything off so you don't pick just one, uh, it's not like a tune on the that is. only the DPF and staff are gone and the EGR is still working somehow or vice versa all emissions related systems are off and can be removed so the first step is the tuner and specifically for the Duramaxes that put together Mini Max.
This is a great option for those, yes, my lab is better and we can go into some details about that if you want in the future, but let me answer your question that you already asked, and then, yes, you will need it right away . Minimum DTF delete pipe or race type some people call it, we also offer full exhaust systems, too, four inch downpipe rear end, five inch rear end, if that's what you want, and all of our different exhausts um include the muffler add-on. option so if you want the truck to stay really quiet that can be added for you too um but yeah man it's literally just with those lmms and lmls it's a very simple tuning process we just give you the tuner, whatever. you choose, they are all preloaded with all the tunes you need, all you have to do is plug it in, follow the instructions we send you, follow the prompts on the device, install the tune once the tune is on, the broadcast system it goes out and then it's up to you to basically install the pipe and if you go for the EGR delete kit you can also install that or you can just keep the EGR system in place and just disconnect the egrs yeah.
Actually, yeah, I didn't want to interrupt you, but that was actually my next question. So with that being said, when you say close, that means the EGR valve is closed, so there's really no need to remove the cooler and the EGR valve or even the uppipe on the passenger side, you can leave all of that intact, all you would simply have to do is remove the DPF that's great yes if you want to bare minimum remove is a tuner and then and then the race tube to remove the GPS a full removal would include the removal kit EGR, as well as the benefits of physically meeting the EGR, uh, it's more of a personal preference, it cleans the entire engine bay, you don't have many you know the parts that are essentially performance are there and they give it a more clean.
Some would say that if you use your truck in a performance application then it's probably best to do it in these yards as well, but it's not required, but I will say that the vast majority of people choose to get the EGR kit, it's the least expensive part of the kit and most people just want to get rid of it anyway so they go with it, but you know, full transparency, we even see this everywhere. on our website it's highly recommended but not required so you can just do the tuner and then the tube when it's completely done and you also don't have to worry about all the bad joints if you take everything off eh.
I know that if you left everything intact and you're going to have a little bit of extra pressure when you close that valve, then it's probably a better situation if they can go ahead and go in and remove everything, yeah, I mean the good stuff. The good thing about this is just adding to that, the good thing is let's say you need to you want to do the removal pretty quickly, you just don't have that much time or you just don't want to do the EGR and the piping. the same day just do the tuner on the pipe, first leave the EGR for another day, when you have more time, it's a bit more complicated removal.
I will say that, a lot of our customers ask us this and we say, Hi. Listen, if you really don't feel like removing the GPS and pgr on the same day, no problem, just do the EGR later, don't forget the related sensors, just disconnect them so that no accidental interruption occurs, that's all. now with the five nine, I know the Cummins five nine doesn't have the EGR systems there, but after that, the leading Cummins six seven will be relatively the same process, as far as I know, they are common real injections, okay, yeah, Yeah. So same process for comments, we have Minimax, although we don't do it after 2812, so 2013 and also, we don't really recommend it and we can go into details if you want.
Our preferred tuner is EFI live and then if you want something else that is premium we have Ultra racing and Easy Link, yes it doesn't matter what level you have preloaded, plug it into the OBD2 port, install the EGR ppf Dash tune, all those systems are irrelevant , continue with the deletion. EGR is optional, but the recommended DPF is mandatory. Same concept as Ford's power punches, is there any other? Is there anything we should keep in mind or are there specific things? I know they are a little different, yes Duramax, Ford power bumps had a couple. Warnings: uh, if you have a 6.4 liter and if you go to our website you'll notice that you have a few tuning options, we recommend the Minimax, so that's 2008 to 2010.
This is because the Mini Max historically works better in that truck Bully Dog tuners or SCT tuners, whichever one you have for the exact same parent company. For somereason, they just have trouble connecting to the 6.4 liter, so it has nothing to do with the actual delete tune, it's the actual physical programmer. that has some problems with the connection, so we recommend the 6.4 liters for the Minimax. If you have a 6.7 from 2011 to 2014, I would still recommend the Minimax from 2015 onwards. I would recommend our version Bully Dog SCT um and again Bully Dog SCC. There's nothing special about that programmer, we just use it as a conduit to essentially get our custom tunes in there, uh, but it really does.
That custom tune is probably the best tune on the Ford

market

and I can say that as if we didn't create it. so it's not like I'm taking credit for that, it's just the best, the most reliable, hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars have been invested in research and it has everything you could ever want for your room. So a multiple power boost setup, transmission tuning, transmission relearn, uh, it's really easy to drive, with that tune, it's very fast and Obviously, it covers the emissions elimination base as well, so keeps EGR def etc. but again, I get this question all the time and I don't want it to not be like a warning or anything, but everyone asks me well, why don't I just understand? easily because people assume that Easy Link is a much more expensive and superior product and I'm going to be very direct and say that I would love for every person to buy an Easy Link because they would make a lot more money, but If you are on a limited budget and don't need all Easy Link functions um that have nothing to do with tuning removal or actual vehicle performance, EasyLink tuning is nothing special compared to tuning done in EFI. live for the Rams and the Chevys or this tune that's on the bully dogs or the mini games for the strong, but Easy Link provides and I'm sure your audience is quite familiar with the device that you connect to your phone, it can be it has multiple different tracking options it is the most high tech programmer on the market when it comes to this niche of the tuning industry so if you want all those features it comes with the easy link device and it is a fantastic product but not think that just because it costs twice as much as the bully dog trim option it's twice as bad and by the way all of our prices include standard shipping to anywhere in North America so the price disparity just has to being has to do with the cost of goods and to be completely honest with you, I mean I own the company.
I can say that we actually make more money on the older uh systems than we did on the L5 PS, our costs on them are extraordinarily high, so the margins on them are not as good, but we are still happy with the price we have and We believe that we are quite competitive in the market, especially for the post-purchase support we provide. Just to answer everyone's question, how much is this going to cost me? Lmls and higher, you know, in the 1.7 to 2.5k range and you'll always end up with any of your DPS and EGR problems, okay, and then I have two.
More questions here. I know it's not a very big market here but their lb7 to their LBZ so their o1 to their 07 like I said I know they have egrs there but do they offer any adjustments for those guys yes? we do it, we do the EFI live at the time of this recording, it will cost you about 900 dollars, but it is a complete delete tune, it can delete your EGR, it will also give you multiple power settings that you can choose from and depending in the model here it also includes on the fly shifting and also the guys that are installing dual probes, you know, or just a bigger injection pump or maybe an additional turbo, do they offer any kind of custom tuning?
Yes, that's a very good question, so I get this question quite often. The answer is maybe basically. If you are going to make that upgrade at some point later, it is best that you let us know first before purchasing our tune because we may or may not have pre-made tunes that represents that modification, not all modifications need an overhaul, usually the turbos do, but other things don't, and the general rule of thumb is that if your truck is completely stock and you put in this known product, this upgrade, let's say a cold air intake. on your truck, do you need adjustments to make your truck run normally?
If the answer is no, then it won't affect R2 either and you don't need all the Visions. If the answer is yes, then it can affect you quite a bit. It is better to inform us in advance if you already have the update before purchasing the tuner, please contact us and ask us. Hey, does your equipment support this? Chances are it is, but it's always good to ask before buying. perfect and then the last question I have for you, Jake, and I know you're probably going to hear this every day and I know we had this discussion before, so being in the United States of America, I know I talked about this in the video, but obviously you know it's a federal law that you know you can't do you can't eliminate federal emissions yeah um though or is it illegal for us to buy from you guys in Canada?
I think that's a good question again. I'm not a lawyer so I'm not going to give any legal advice here, but we always say that whether the responsibility is on you when you're going to install this on your truck and the application of that rule depends on your local loss, um. I'm not very familiar with how different states enforce laws set by the federal government. I know your country likes to make federal laws and then the states like to choose whether to follow them or not, as long as you buy them, we will tell you that we have never had any problems with our customers who buy from us, never they've taken us nothing through Customs or to place an order, in fact as far as they're concerned it's literally just vehicle parts and it's an unmarked package if you're curious so I guess the answer would be if you're really worried , first discuss it with someone you can talk to who can give you a direct answer from where you are locally, that's the most important thing because I think you all know that at the federal level this is not allowed on your roads, but at the provincial level and not Provincial, sorry.
Throughout the Canadian state, make sure you are aware of the possible consequences if you get pulled over, that's all, so be careful. aware that they could give you a fine, they could impound your vehicle and force you to put it back, but at the same time I want to say that I'm not going to say that you know I've never had anyone have a problem, but I can say that no one ever came to tell me you had a problem and we have had many American customers in the years we have operated and said this. The only responsibility is yours, so if you are making the decision to do this, just be aware of your own local consequences of doing so.
That would be my biggest recommendation to anyone listening to this. What if you guys just leave completely? How can we contact you? Do you know what you have for that? You mean we have one? That's a good question, so I'll say we're not going anywhere we've never been. I had some issue with someone coming to us and telling us that we haven't stopped operating as we are, so at the time of this recording and at the time of discussing the release, we plan to stay here long term. And I know a lot of people worry about the future of diesel and how long diesel vehicles will be on the roads and I will say that most of the vehicles that we work on are at least half a decade to a decade old and my thought process It is the year they stop manufacturing diesel engines.
My business is five to ten years younger and it's 2023 and they're still making diesel engines so if they stop making diesel engines in 2025 we'll be around until 2035. I guarantee it so if you're worried about support after of purchase, you like the longevity of that time if you are worried if you install the tune and then you will never hear back from us, I recognize that the industry has scared people away in a sense because of some bad actors and I am not going to claim that we are the only good company in the space, like I'm not going to come out here and say I'm the only honest guy in Shawshank who never committed a crime.
I hope people understand your reference, but what I'm going to say is that if you buy something from us, we actually have a support team, we have customer service representatives and support representatives. that will help you if you have a tuner that shows an error code. We have solutions. We will most likely fix the problem within hours. Sometimes it takes a little longer depending on the volume of inquiries you may receive. Remember guys, we are doing a custom tune up for your truck, completely remote and pre-packaged without you having to come to a shop and leave your truck there for a few weeks to get it perfectly right. most of the time it will come out perfect, sometimes it needs a bit of tuning so when the time comes please be a little patient with us but we will always sort it out if you get a tuner you know. it doesn't work or conform to your standard just contact us we will talk about it we will catch it for another um if you were sent something that was wrong and the mistake was our fault we will send you the correct thing if you made a mistake you You made a mistake, ordered the wrong thing and received the wrong thing.
Please contact us, we will find something that is most profitable for both parties and in the end. of the day like you're just insecure and nervous because you don't want to do it wrong and fry your truck and just call us okay or I just again like I want this to be the topic of this if you have If you have a question, please contact us and we'll help you. You know, I'm not going to claim that we are perfect or that we will always make you taste good all the time, but let's try. they're doing well because we understand that a lot of our customers are blue-collar workers who ride a truck to work to make money directly for their family or it's their daily driver and they need to make sure that this works so they can they can go pick up their kids they can drop off to your wife or whatever so that we understand it we understand that your vehicle is not just you know that a machine is actually a tool that your family needs to operate correctly day to day Perfect, very good Hi Jake again, I really appreciate your time and what you said was very insightful and really added a lot to the content we have to provide viewers, but to end this here, I know I said it here at the beginning. of the video, but where can we find them?
