hangers

, aren't they cute? They are very pretty and sturdy, and as soon as I saw them I knew what I'm going to do, just take a look at this. It reminds you of yes, a

butterfly

. We are going to make a

butterfly

wreath

that is perfect for

spring

and

summer

, so you will need two

hangers

which will have to be jewelry hangers. Either of the two pretty hangers will work for zip ties or pipe cleaners.

pool

I have wildflowers here from Dollar Tree. You'll need some greenery in this back part. The suit came from Walmart, but if you look closely, the leaves looked a lot like wildflowers, so whatever you can get your hands on and then you'll need some showy flowers. I'm still debating whether I want to be neutral on the farm. these white sunflowers from Dollar Tree or add some color with these purple coneflowers and they are pretty. I think it's a really pretty, vibrant color and I'm still debating it, but either way we'll also need some cattails, plus you'll need some moss and some floral pins, but if you don't have those you can use hot glue, so first we need to put our two hangers together and we will use the zip ties to secure them together.

Still, they will continue to go around. I'm going to add two more zip ties, okay, so we have four zip ties, so we're going to cut these long ends. I'm still going to add a drop of hot glue around each zip tie so they stay in place. This now has a nice sturdy butterfly shape, as you can see, nothing moves and now we're going to use a

pool

noodl

e to make a butterfly abdomen. I think it's the perfect way, don't you agree? And since my zip ties are a little too short. I have to use pipe cleaners to attach the abdomen to the frame, but whatever works for you is fine, just so you know.

I get a lot of phone calls these days. Kathy. I'm stuck at home. I want to do something but I don't have anything. in my house and I mean, come on, don't you watch my DIY channel? I'm constantly making things out of nothing and the same with this butterfly

wreath

, if you open your closet I'm sure you'll find two cute hangers and Let's make this reef work so go ahead my best friends okay and so we have a butterfly reform. How long did it take us two minutes to make it? Now I'm going to decorate the wings.

I'm going to use chicken wire. ribbon and here again you can use whatever you have in your house and this chicken wire ribbon is actually a little bit too narrow so I'm stretching it when you stretch it spread it apart and it actually becomes twice as wide it's not so good, but if you don't have it you can use anything you have in your house you can use a net you can use some fabric how about a lace curtain? anything will work really the possibilities are endless here if you have chicken wire and you know you just cut it To fit it you stretch it like I did and now we'll first need to attach it to the frame.
I'm just going to bend that chicken wire over the frame and it will hold up nicely to secure the chicken wire to the inside of the wing. I'm just going to run the wire through the earring holes that are already there and now on the outside of the wing, you can just bend that chicken wire over the edge and you can even twist it up. a little bit to secure it there and it will stay fine. This is very nice and safe. You can just press it if something sticks out but it won't go anywhere. It's great and you'll repeat the same process on the other side and just. so we have a chicken wire butterfly shape it's not so pretty and I know those who love farmhouse style will really appreciate it but chicken wire is really nice for

spring

and

summer

for the garden for flowers right , it's great and I see that it's still sticking out a little bit on the edge on one side, so I'm folding it down a little bit more and yeah, so that we have a nice smooth edge and we can proceed to decorate it with flowers.
Now let's go first. to cut all the flowers into separate pieces, just don't throw those flower stems out of the bottle because you know we're going to use them right there, our floral picks, then we're going to cover the pool noodles with a little bit of moss and I've got this. big package of Dollar Zone Floral Mouse for only $1. I've never seen so much Moss for a

dollar

so I grabbed it even though the color is a little yellowish maybe that's why they were selling it for a

dollar

because it started to turn yellow . but I don't care, it's still the color of nature, right.
I'm actually looking for a larger piece here. It's a little messy at first, but that's okay, this piece is great because it's so big I can cover it in one piece. I'm going to use those floral pins to hold it in place and like I said, if you don't have floral pins, you can still use hot glue, but don't use too much because you know this is like a floral foam, that noodle is like a floral foam. foam, so if you put too much glue everywhere it will be a little difficult to pierce the flowers, that's why I chose to use pins here, but you're going to make it work either way, so my son said this butterfly looks like it's made of the swamps, but we're going to make it look pretty and of course you can finish off the back with some felt.
Let's see how we are going to make the florals. Now I'm starting with a green and I think. I want to make two at the top and two at the bottom. I guess I have an extra piece for later and I'm going to use a little hot glue on each tip to secure them. No. Actually I'm going to do it. diagonally like the wing goes down like this, yeah I think it's perfect so these ones will go like them and the top one will go up imitating the wing so I decided to use the vibrant purple flowers.
I'm going to insert one on top of each bunch of greenery. the way it's so satisfying to insert the flowers into a pool noodle if you haven't tried it yet. I also have a ladybug reef in my channel. You have to try one of these before answering. You lift the green leaves and bend them slightly. The stem and petals of the cauliflower are drooping, so I'm using those leaves at the bottom as support. Don't these flowers remind you of ice sheets? Do you know that butterflies also have ice patches on their wings? protect them from predators this is kind of realistic looking here I'm just trying to adjust it to make sure everything is even here and I normally don't do such symmetrical designs but the butterfly is so symmetrical so once it's stuck it's like stacked there but I'm trying to get them out a little bit and now I'm thinking about filling them with your wildflowers.
You have six pieces and I think it's okay, let's glue them together first, let's do the middle one on each side, one at the bottom. I turned it for you. This is the bottom, as you can see, I'm inserting it diagonally in the direction of the wings and now we're going to make a set on the top as well like So you're very pretty and now I'm going to make a bow. This green striped ribbon is from Walmart. I got it on sale for $1 and I'm just measuring a tail about 12 inches long and then measuring the next 10 inches when you fold it.
I split it in half, it's a five inch loop. I pinch it and continue measuring all my loops the same size. Ten inches, I fold it in half and as you can see, I have two loops on the top, two loops on the bottom and now I'm just. I'm going to make a little bow in the middle and I'm going to tie it with the floral wire right there, just cut a tail also 12 inches long, pass it through here under the bow and tie it at the bottom, straighten the bows and pull from them. tails down because in the butterfly we want the tails to hang down.
Remember one of the flower stems we cut, let's place it now as a floral spike on the back of the bow. Don't forget to cut the fish tails and now we can insert that bow into our butterfly, you can bend the tails if you want of course no butterfly is complete without its antennae and we are going to use those little cattails and I decided to save the leaf too because I think add a little more. We didn't insert them right there in the head, just make sure to bend those stems in opposite directions. You know how their antennas work.
I'm so glad I have these dollar

tree

hydrangeas that I want to make. like a little flower crown for our butterfly, it's that cute or what I couldn't have a piece of the greenery that I had left over and I'm going to insert it around the bowl and here is the fifth purple flower, but unfortunately no I don't think It's going to work here. I could still use some hydrangea here under the white flowers. Wait a minute. You know I love Koko, but when I saw this, it was being served on my Linux China. This is unacceptable and look.
The Queen has just eaten and she is taking a nap, she has nothing to do with that. I'm really going to strangle someone and I think he's my husband, I'm glad I didn't give him a cup of tea, oh my god I don't even get the real deal like Are you ready to see the butterfly here? I have to tell you, I'm not really feeling this arc. I don't know what it is, it's either too big or the wrong color. I have to try something else. I have this. purple felt ribbon from Dollar Tree and this is only five feet so I'm going to use that to make this bow.
I measure 12 inch tails and then I will make this bow exactly the same way except it measures 8 inches folded inward. half are four inch loops here and this ribbon is enough to make three loops on each side, six loops total. Sorry I'm a little out of the camera's view, but it's exactly the same way I made the other tape. bow and I'm just hanging it in the middle it's a little bit thicker so I didn't even try to pinch it because it's so thick I just folded it three on each side and tied it and now I'm just gonna fix it up a little bit and let's see how it's going to look .
Oh, we just need to attach a flower stem to the back. I had already removed the ribbon and the vegetation around it and I'm going to insert this. one and let's see how it looks now oh my gosh I think it's so much better right oh I love this it's beautiful you see just a ribbon makes a big difference and this really brings back memories of my wedding because I let out butterflies . at my wedding and I had purple flowers the color purple and oh my gosh you're going to make me go back and look at the scent in my photo album.
In fact, I might share some memories at the end of this video, oh this is so special. I love it, let me know what you think and before you leave I have to share with you this again that I received. It's actually a little candle holder made out of a glass jar and I got it from my godson Jake, he made it and look. he even placed some extra flowers that we could replace on the side here he made a bow out of the jute rope, painted the jar with white chalk paint and had even distressed the lettering on the side, can you believe this, what a talent.
I think this boy understands after his godmother, right? Please make sure you give Jake the thumbs up. Here I will write to my best friend, so that's all for today. Thanks so much for looking. I appreciate you very much and I hope. You are all well, I carry you in my heart and in my prayers and we will see you next time, goodbye.
