Building the Freedom Factory a GIANT Burnout/Drift Pad Part 1!!! (don't worry...)

Mar 27, 2020
Alright guys before we move on to today's video and the rest of this week's videos I need to give you a little background on what's going on here, as you saw in the title we're about to tear up our track, now the reason of that. It was when I bought Freedom Factory, my goal was to make it the most amazing multi-use facility in the world, meaning concerts, racing,

drift

ing, autocross, you name it, I want to be able to do it here, but most importantly to me is that I want power. Entering my Cletus at car shows, which is a massive

burnout

competition, and to do that I need a

giant

burnout

rig.

Well, we originally budgeted to build a burnout pad once we bought the track, probably within six months, but as you guys saw. Just a couple of weeks ago we were with some guys with those Lamborghinis, how can you forget them? Well, those guys, the 316 Speed RG guys and Nick, weren't there just for fun, they were actually there to scout the track and see what we were doing. can do for a burn pad because they make a living

building

and they said they were willing to help us with the burn pad and by help I mean fully dedicate and donate their time and equipment over the next week to build the burn pad more epic in the world and what that means to us is that we are saving so much money that instead of pavement and asphalt burning pad that would wear away from high speed burning, we can actually afford to build a concrete one, something we would never ever it was thought possible until the 3/16 speed guys came along, so with today's video we begin the journey of tearing up the

freedom

factory

field and turning it into the most epic multipurpose burn pad made of pure concrete that this country has ever seen Also, I added a new rule to exclude the

freedom

factory

, any large equipment that reaches the property line.

More Interesting Facts About,

building the freedom factory a giant burnout drift pad part 1 don t worry...

I drive at least once, brother, you are on the YouTube network, ladies and gentlemen, today is a great day and the factory of freedom. The story is because today marks the beginning of the process of pouring a Burnout deck which, as you know, one of my main focuses on this project was to have our own Burnout deck where we can test our own skates and also use them as skates.

drift

platform because it's an unlimited possibility to set up your cones, it creates a whole new track, so we are very excited right now. You have the 316 speed guys here, they are the ones helping us using their own construction company.

BP construction group and we are about to put the bulldozer in for the first time. The bulldozer just left it there and the reason the bulldozer is here is because we are actually leveling the entire track well, we are actually leveling the entire track. grass areas and there's a lot of work to be done beforehand before we even pour the concrete and then a million rips later this week and we're actually milling the we poured concrete in the middle, actually we originally planned to do asphalt on top because the 3/16 speed guys are helping us a lot, we are doing it on concrete which as you know will last much longer if you do the burning with a wheel speed of One hundred and fifty miles per hour on asphalt will create very large ruts and we plan to use this for at least the next 10 to 15 years, so we are definitely very excited to use concrete, this is a big step forward. for us, so they're putting the bulldozer up right now and we'll see if it's going to collapse this asphalt right here, if it doesn't we'll just go in, but if it leaves marks on the asphalt, I have to put it on this trailer and then drive the whole truck and the tow over the hill, which is going to be tricky.

I have the daily-drive twin-turbo Huracán here, brother, what a unit. There's a rev limiter here, man, yes, because I put them all in at the same time. It's going to be here again for a while, so oh my god, oh yeah, we're good, we're good bro, I don't know if I can mentally stand to see this grass we just made look pretty, they ripped it out, I know, have faith. Alright guys, so the reason for the bulldozer is that there are already drainage problems here at Freedom Factory that you obviously haven't seen yet because it's not rainy season, but as you know, in Florida it rains every day during the summer and it really It rains quite a bit and we actually had the previous owner here today.
We went over some of the drainage issues that already exist, so I don't know if you guys can tell, but there's a hump here and then there's a hill. Here and

part

of the drainage problem is that the water that is in the middle of the track came and went to this drainage because we have a very high point, but the drainage is lower than the yellow strip on the perimeter, but we have to carry water . these drains and that's

part

of the problem because what happened is the previous owner did some dirt hauling here and they brought in a bunch of dirt and now we're standing on that dirt and they haven't brought it back down so our goal is to balance the property and they are taking topographical photographs at this time.
Let's figure out exactly how we need to level the deck and the rest of the lawn so that the drainage will hopefully work in harmony. right guys, I know it's changed and change hurts, but get ready for the braces factory to have a damn non-slip pad, now that's all here and half a day, I want to stop so badly that you don't, but I want it so bad , it's so confusing no. I don't know what I want I don't know what I don't want I just have to do it, we just have to pull the trigger, tear up the grass and soon we'll have a nice little burn pad, we'll still have our figure eight and everything we'll pay me in line so everyone be patient it will be beautiful when it's all said and done alright guys this is going to be where the burn pad starts so this cone is practically straight down here because this asphalt is practically already being cut by burns, you see that, so this asphalt is not going to hold up, that's from one of James' burns, so see, this cone burn pad goes straight down and then goes straight across this infield to that the infield figure eight stays in place and then we go straight to where those guys are standing, right there, we'll go right through the infield, here this grass will disappear, everything will be a burn pad and then another goal is to have a seamless transition so it's even smoother when the drift cars come down, they go straight to the concrete hopefully, a seamless transition and then we can set it up however we want on the drift pad area to drop the cars back on the track, like this I think it's going to be really cool, it'll actually help make the drift course even more versatile since this is really bad here, yeah actually you're probably right but we probably almost need to start here so we can get rid of all that, yes.
Yeah, we need to fix that, I'm sure you can see we're like Chelsea and Vaughan, we're passing by here and we had to dodge this, so it's going to have to be a patch, but if we start the platform right here we'll be able to hopefully eliminate all of this. infield that is completely ruined, all of this stuff will be removed, but when we first saw the track guys, we looked at this entire center section as if it were essentially garbage because these things can be milled and filled. but the base is pretty broken from what we've been told and like this corner here that's been patched about sixty-four times and it's pretty broken, like the actual outer oval is in good shape, but the inside parts are just a little bit in ruins, this is pretty bad, so it turned out that the team and then eventually we'll have a game plan here and we'll start ripping this out so the platform is 220 feet north to south, 190 feet east to west and then we'll center it off the drains or these two posts In other words, what's great about the platform?
You know me, how tall is he? Well, we'll even out the elevation here and then what I would do is just make the deck flat here, yeah, and it's like half a percent. just for the water to flow out, okay, it's pretty good, completely centered, so it's going to have a half degree slope to the south side and then it's going to have a little slope towards the drains or just automatically. do it automatically just set the dozer nose blade from that big yeah that's crazy so you're driving the dozer and the blade automatically makes the moves to level to the exact level of that fixed GPS unit the future is here guys, alright guys, here we have the mill entering the track, about hitting the bank, setting the mill record, bee stuff, thanks, I know we gotta put the helmet on the man, okay guys, so this one It's an asphalt mill, well, I really need to build it.
A lot, but it's about to turn our asphalt into asphalt millings that we'll then use in a mix with stabilizer in the base that will go under the concrete slab, but instead of just tearing off the asphalt, we're using this mill to He also gave us some strawberries, so I'm being pretty wild, this thing is a beast, the river right there. I'll get your ID, that's your transporter so this thing can remove all the trash all the way to the dump truck, oh man I got it folded. A little nervous, here comes the first cut right now guys, we're blowing out the millings and then we'll move it here and maybe with the loader, but because our truck, our dump truck, hasn't gotten here yet, but we have .
For these guys to move their phase in a day, the longer they sit here, we'll still pay them, here we go, we use this to boot from the reef a little and have a perfect transition to this like butter, they all died now, Lord, back there, five pies with hope, your idea works, that had to happen, its work to break waves, oh my God, they go so fast, our racetrack, holy shit. oh, I don't know what's going to be harder for me, removing the asphalt or removing the grass and what you have here, brother. Wow, one minute drive, it arrived, actually, that's great, I just need one more pass and then the original Bernero. go away, okay, so they're all here right now, try to keep the hook, oh yeah, wow, so I need like an inch to the left or one, Steve felt it was an inch to the left, right there, okay, we are boys that's the other guide from him, so if that's all or why they have to hit that guy there and I hated all the moves, well guys, our rally tour is going very well.
Wow, they have these stunts in the house around here, he has it that way, but. right now you're cutting along the straight because the exhaustion battle is you, this is pretty thick up here, it's a full two inches, a lot of this around here is shit, that's high, we're four inches feet by second layer, so all this will be cut and then I made a smooth transition with fresh asphalt directly to the road like this, the biggest bump in the track is gone, okay, I never used a bulldozer before, but I know we can solve it well, so with the GPS attached to the blade, this is our final grade here, so now what you're going to do is lower the blade eight inches, which is the thickness of the concrete, and then it's going to go down several more inches for the base structure that's going to be underneath. of the concrete. soon you'll see the leaf fall and this thing will have its work cut out pushing some dirt, alright guys this place looks totally different, look at this, some would say it looks a lot worse, but to me it's beautiful. future site look at this guys, this is what I was talking about with the corners, how we're milling them, it's not actually milled all the way to the ground, this is just an inch and a quarter, an inch and a half from the top. there, because these transitions were in such bad shape, some of the potholes were crazy, we're not going to go around, but for what it cost to do the corners with the crew that's already here, just shave them off and repave some of them. the landfills, whatever you call it in this industry, we had to do it, so look at these holes underneath, so some of these things need to be fixed underneath and they're there today, it's part of our goal, but it looks pretty good, we're just doing it how much it's back just do it trust me you'll thank me you wanted us to do it let's do it guys aren't you saying we have to cut a circle and redo it?
Come on, just no. I'll just be gone for 30 minutes totally looking at the rest of the day, all clues gone. I'm kind of, I don't know, I think we can get away with it, oh, that's itcrazy, she has it completely, really, we're just going to cut this out, we're just milling and filling, okay, now we're completely removing it. I know, I know I just did crazy things. I guess we're just sending it and we're milling in the corner, we mill in that corner, yeah. oh my god these guys this is getting out of control it's going to be beautiful now I can't see it oh this place looks so different man it's unreal first of all I want to thank anyone driving a great piece of dozer equipment. or especially the rubber tire loader, those things really hit you, but man, I'm amazed at the finesse it takes to drive a bulldozer.
I thought you're like hitting dirt, it definitely takes some time on the wheels or the stick I guess. you'd call it, but when we're done for the dayOn this beautiful day, we're going to take them for a quick spin and show them what we've got. Look at all that chaos. Let me show you what we have going on and then we'll be done with this video. Okay, guys. The original plan was to mill the corners, but once we milled just these corners a little bit, it was pretty rough underneath, so our 316 G was like man, it really won't cost much more on asphalt, it'll already have the asphalt guys here we already have the mill here, let's just run around the corner, so because of the big bumps and everything he did, he convinced me and we ran through the corners and now we will have a fresh, beautiful, slightly widened interior of the circuit for, hopefully , enter in tandem. in the very near future so imagine we could have some really big drift events here and we are improving our drift stage so also with this cut we are going to have a super smooth transition straight to the drift pad.
I even asked Vaughn about the whole thing going from the asphalt concrete, he said there's no problem in Palm Beach so it shouldn't be a problem here, so half the entire field is torn up and I was scattering some of the strawberries , there are many more strawberries and another base to spread on. around and the stabilizer, so a mixer is coming tomorrow and then the rating will be set definitively after that, but it's pretty close, the odd spots are actually just low spots and it was all dosed via a GPS, so it's pretty accurate from what I'm "I was told that's it here it goes guys we can have another corner cut right here and then you can see we also went around the circuit so I see it's pushing the tire into the Dozier, yeah, I stood on these hills right here.” We're going to try to hide some dirt in the mounds here, but it turns out that if you're standing in the field, it blocks your vision to the banks, so we're going to eliminate that and move them back into place.
Normal sized little hill, but these little problem areas, guys, while we have asphalt people here, we want it repaired, so we're going to bring out a skid steer milling attachment that's just going to dig a little hole and end up with a little patch. like the one you see there, so we're fixing those two, but he's killing me right now. You can see the drain is there, so we're just trying to get these pills out, take the mounds that work along this, get everything flowing. right to that drain and then there's a drain by that pull and there's a drain over that field this field here is pretty good I don't know if we're going to end up playing with it but look at this corner wait, wait, wait this was the worst corner of everyone and we went to town, we got this baby, everything is going to be beautiful, this is the roughest area around here, if you try to cross into the figure eight, this thing went crazy, so it's all polished. and outside you can see it looks really good here, we have a few spots that we need to fix, but other than that, right away, everything is fine, nothing there was fixed, just the shoulder was falling apart, so we're fixing the shoulders and then You can see that this corner is completely milled and the next step is to come here and start cutting this because just like on the other side there are some drains.
You can see the drain is right there and that's what we need. of this to flow so we don't want drainage problems we'll just take care of it right now look how good it looks pretty crazy guys so we'll leave it there we've got more dirt moving in do it now we're about to go back to get on the loader and start using it to fill the dump trucks because we have to get some of this dirt and grass out of here, all the grass that's coming off the top, you can't. Use it on your base so it has to be removed.
We're just going to build a stack for the user to jump into someday. I don't know, but today was a great start guys, I can't express how excited I am. Were you that nervous about making those first cuts and taking that risk? But you know that with every risk there can be a reward if you do things right and we are here working hard trying to make this the best burnout platform in the world. I am exact to see what ends up being me. I've got some work to do guys but it's a lovely mess we have at the moment but that's all for now guys thanks for watching what we do for Dale where I can see you later
