May 05, 2024

japan

right now we are at the top level ATB Auto technical base and this is a service center which they have here in the Tokyo area. where they sell and service vehicles you can buy. The reason we're here is because in just one day we'll be at Fuji Speedway and we'll be lapping one of the most iconic tracks of them all. from Japan, but before we can do that, we have to prepare this car for that now, as you saw in previous videos, Sato's son already upgraded the brakes, suspension and a bunch of other things, but we needed new tires.

The white T-37s were pretty old and getting pretty tough and I just bought a set of Nismo lmgt4's, they threw the Falcon Tire fk5 dozens on them and as you can see they're already on the car and we're going to head out now. to the omori factory where I am going to pick up some more

parts

More Interesting Facts About,

building a nissan r34 gt r in japan with rare parts new wheels...

I've just arrived at Amore Factory, the rain has stopped and is stopping which is amazing. It's a little cold here today, so we'll go in and see what they have on display for vintage race cars and go buy some interesting Nismo parts, honey, come on, they're installing it for Fuji tomorrow. dog credit cards yeah check this out for sale yeah overseas we just finished here at Amore Factory. I got what I came for, which was the titanium strut Tower bar for the 34. and a bunch of other little things, like some nuts and things like that, that the car needs the previous project, the new nuts have had better days, they're aluminum and they're starting to wear out, so I bought some nice Nismo open end racing lug nuts and a bunch of other little things just to take the dice with me, so let's go out, we have other things to do today, let's go throw this out before we get to Fuji Speedway, okay, we have SATA with us in their 32 GTR and we have arrived at Fuji Speedway, here we are.

Wow, thanks foreigner, we've arrived here at the Fuji Speedway, it's quite early in the morning, we want to leave early to settle in and let the nerves settle and we also have some really exciting bits to put on stage. car before we hit the track, so let's go ahead and tackle it here at these amazing Fuji Speedway Paddock garages that they've been so kind to let us use today to stay out of the elements because it's raining so much. I really want to get out on the track before doing that. Let me show you the modifications I made to the car overseas today, as you saw in the video above.

Sato really put in a lot of time and effort. Upgrading the suspension on this car for me so that today we had a solid car to drive, as well as the brake system, so I feel really good mechanically, the engine is really good, the car is going to run really well today. I have these some small modifications to implement, they are very simple. I'm going to change out the mu project nuts, which are aluminum, which have actually started to come off a little bit because they're aluminum, so I picked up these racing nuts by Nismo at Amore Factory and I also bought this Nismo Tower bar.
This is an all titanium piece and there are many of these on the market. I went ahead with the Nismo one simply because I love the details in the welds. I love dimples. I love that it is full top and bottom and that it is completely titanium, so it literally weighs nothing. This thing is so light it's ridiculous and you really can't go wrong with Nismo parts. They always fit very well. This particular one, in my opinion, is the prettiest prop. bar for these cars on the market, so I chose that one. I also bought a BBL Hood accessory.
I know what you guys are thinking, it's not really a mod, but when I open this box I think you'll be pretty impressed. what's here so I'll show you that in a minute once we get to install it and we also have to put in our transponder for our laps today as well as our door numbers sata has me prepared for that so I'll show you that too, so let's get off to a good start before we start placing these pieces. I want to remind you that throttle.com is the best source for purchasing your car parts if you are working on cars like me.
I'm every day or if you're just a hobbyist, we have hundreds of thousands of parts listed on the site, from general maintenance to tuning parts. It's just a great one stop shop for everything you need. to build a really cool car and best of all, every dollar you spend on the website will be an entry to win our Audi S4 Car Plus giveaway twenty thousand dollars in cash now, let's put these parts on the cover, thank you very much in advance. I throw this drop bar away and I'm just wiping down the top of these struts to remove any debris that way they don't get any more scratches.
Some companies make really nice rubber rings that go in there before you put the strap on to hold it. from scratch, but the damage has already been done by the factory bar man. I'm excited to get out here on the track. I had actually never run this track before. I've only done it in video games and I was recently here for ours. day that really piqued my interest about Fuji Speedway, it's a very interesting track and being able to see some of the historic and some of the famous Nissan car racing made me really excited to get out here and try it for myself so I wanted to get this.
The car was set up to a point where I could feel pretty comfortable and confident going fast because the straight here at Fuji Speedway is epic. I'm pretty sure we'll see speeds of over 200km straight, which should be pretty interesting because I've never had this car this fast personally, so I'm a little nervous and excited at the same time, but I think that goes along with it. hand. Nerves are not a bad thing if you are not in control. I think we take strut bars for Sometimes granted, but this is like a gem, actually this is easily the nicest strut tower bar I've ever owned.
Full titanium construction. TIG welding. Beautiful TIG welds and as I said in the introduction to these parts, I chose this one because I like the shape. I like dimpled dies. I like how clean the welds are. The overall build is fantastic, but there are a million of these on the market and they are all relatively similarly priced. I simply think that the Nismo one aesthetically suits me better, that's why. I chose that next will be our Legends Hood Rod accessory. I know guys, this is more of an aesthetic modification on its head, however, what's really cool about this Hood accessory and why I really wanted it is because it decreases the weight. of the hood support for 75, which is pretty incredible, it's made of dry carbon, it's prepreg 3K twill and it's made here in Japan with Japanese carbon fiber by a company called Mistral, they're well known, I know that for a fact.
I talked to the guys at BBL and I know this went through a lot of development. You know, hockey sticks, golf clubs, fishing rods that are made of similar materials and are meant to flex. The flex is what makes carbon fiber so good for that product. However, in this case, they wanted it to not flex or not flex much, so they went through a lot of trials and tribulations to make this piece really work. I was actually at the facility Legends built a few months ago and saw pre-production. versions of this hood accessory and I know they have gone through quite a few iterations to get to the point where it supports the hood properly and does not collapse under the weight of the hood material.
Let's open this up and see what it looks like. now I know there is a lot of detail built by the guys at Legends, they are kings of detail, oh my god the packaging weighs more than the hood support. I want to reiterate that this is not for a look, it is a performance part at the end of the day. I know it doesn't seem like it, a hood accessory is such a menial task for a car component, this one here is remarkable and actually brightens up the front of your car a little, oh my gosh look at this it comes with a hangtag kind of built up by a Legends decal and a card with the R34 serial number number 002 so this is the second one out of the factory look at this thing look at the details how cool and it literally weighs nothing guys .
I wish everyone could hold this. To see, it is an honor for me to have the second one out of the factory. Let's throw this in the car. Can I hold it? Yes, you can hold it. You will be impressed. It's like paper. Alright. Whoa, whoa, holy cow, I can. You won't even have to lower your camera to feel this when you have a minute. Okay, the hood hardware is installed. If you're not familiar with the team built by Legends or BBL, they are

building

something fantastic here in Japan. Recreations of the r chassis platforms, including the Civic EG and EK platforms, pretty much if you want a custom JDM car from the 90s or 2000s, they are your choice here in Japan or around the world.
They are making products like this, basically reinventing these cars with new next generation products that make them look like they were built today compared to the late '90s and early 2000s, which is really cool and I appreciate the work they do. . Basically, you know that they buy a chassis that they strip it down to bare. build and rebuild the car to your liking, basically, you specify everything, they put it all together for you, and when it's finished, you receive it and take it back to your home country or enjoy it here in Japan. The construction was carried out by the guys from Legends. a great team and they are doing amazing things for our community that I love supporting and that is why we are running at least a small part of their business here in our 34 GTR and maybe one day, who knows, we will drive in one built by Legends ek9 before putting our race numbers on it, we hit the track.
I have one last thing to throw away and that's 20 of these Nismo open end racing lug nuts that I bought at Amore Factory. I'm going to go ahead and shoot. With these we're going to be in much better shape for track ah 17. So one thing is we're going to go down from 19 millimeters to 17 millimeters, so the nice thing is that once we put extended bolts on this car when it comes back to En We in the US don't have to worry about the closed end because this would interfere with a long stud that the stud can go through now it's time to put in our transponder and our door numbers, unfortunately I was wrong.
Don't let them know I wanted number 12, which is my lucky number, but that's okay, you don't always have to have it, we have a number four, which is a shout out to my nephew, this is such a foreign hockey number, well, basically we are. I finished all the track preparation. I just have to adjust the tire pressure real quick. We are ready to hit the track. There is no grip. I'm told it's nice and wet. The best part of this data on the top right together is that we can spend it with our friends and this is Sebastian, he has a lot of cool cars, he has a GTR 34 here and a nerd or sorry, yes, M Spagner, who is really special , you probably saw it in the videos of my last drive because I was following them almost the entire trip, which honestly, following them made me fall in love with this car even more just by seeing it on the road, so I'm excited to share this opportunity with you and I hope we can do it again.
Hopefully, when it dries, yeah, yeah, hopefully, so let's get to work. Okay, foreigner. I remember it's okay. A short break awaits us. We'll just let the car cool down a little. Not that I need it. I have just done it. I think seven. or eight laps, the first two were just pushing Labs away, then the next two I was following Sato, he had a little incident, of course, he's on our Triple H, which is for the rain, it's a bit of a slippery tire, uh, we are. on the fk510's which are made for wet and dry weather so I feel like we are in good shape tire wise judging from what I've seen I'm one of the only ones who hasn't spun yet and I'm excited this It's very exciting and I have to say a huge thank you to the senior guys for setting this up for Tyrone to chip in and get us an extra hour here, which is super awesome, all the guys who made this happen, Sato.
Masa Manu Alex Shin to everyone at Top Rank. I mean, I can't name everyone because they have over 200 employees, but this is amazing, what a wonderful day, thanks to overseas Fuji Speedway. I still have some fast laps left to do, but I wanted to finish. I'm here because I want to have some fun and turn my brain off for a while. We did a lot of things in this video. We put our new

wheels

on our lmt4 with our falcon fk5 tempswhich were absolutely epic here in the rain. I can't say enough about the tire and how good it was here today.
We modified the car quite a bit, got a new tower bar, got new lug nuts, got the Legends-built hood stand, all the things Sato did. from the last time I was here until now, which was all the suspension, the brakes, all those things that we showed you in a previous video, so I'm excited that the car is running amazing and I can't wait to get back out there. man it's starting to rain pretty hard but we're here so we might as well send it to you guys hit the subscribe button leave us some comments below see you in the next one.
I'm going to drive abroad, abroad.
