Brett Eldridge - One on One with Kelly Sutton

So this is like a big day, you got stuff in the Country Music Hall of Fame Brett Eldridge, me and I, at that time I walked up here from the air from the exhibit and I was blown away, man. He was telling someone. A while ago, I literally walked around here as a simple fan of the tour. I mean, I can't tell you how many times I went to see Elvis' car there and you know which one has TV Junior's boots on it. and like all these CRAs, you know all these pieces that I remember and maybe I'll be a piece that someone else remembers and there are already several pieces of my story in there so that's cool, what does the family think about that?

I hope you love it. They're here somewhere, so I was looking for them. I think you're about to see it right now. But I know my mom called me today and asked me: Should I dress up for this? This is something important. What I do? Yeah, I was like, whatever you want, mom, just go and have fun and look at the exhibit and that's so cute, so tell me what's in the exhibit. I have my tuxedo that I wore to the CMA. Awards that I won the year I won, new artist of the year, which was like my favorite tuxedo, it looked cool, yeah, it was a cool tuxedo, I remember that one and it was my first legit, really nice tuxedo, you know?

I feel like the last time I had a tuxedo I maybe had one in college, but other than that it was like prom in high school. I love wearing suits. I had a ton of shit at the time, but, uh, a tuxedo is like you just wear it. that every once in a while it was an occasion to use it and then I would win it and then all of a sudden they asked if we could take it and put it on display and I was like, absolutely yes, it's like, that's it. I don't want to sit in my closet.

I want to sit in the Country Music Hall of Fame all day. You can absolutely take it AB, so who are you next to? I'm next to Ronnie Dunn, man, which is great. I did not do it. "I knew they were going to do that. I got a little emotional when I saw it because it's so surreal because he's one of the main reasons I'm in country music, so the way they related and talked about it in the at the exhibit, well you talk about it, tell me, tell me the story, uh, I used to um, my best friend, Chip um, in high school and several of my friends we would put on the Brooks and make the best Head CD, and on the boat that I owned my family was called Bessie oh Bessie, we called her Bessie because I don't really know why, but it was like that name where it's like some kind of reliable boat that always ends up lighting up even though it's kind of old and not cool.

Okay, so we put a car stereo in the boat and we put on Brooks and we had to go buy that CD like five different times because we would always wear it out or break it or spill it on it or something like that and that was like a big part of my life and it was a big part of my memories and why I write songs and why I'm inspired to be a country singer and now I'm so I'm right next to Ronnie Dun and I got to sing with him on the stage before and now I have to become friends with him and all that and all of a sudden be next to him in the Country Music Hall of Fame. and a showcase it's pretty surreal it's cool it's cool tell me about the new single oh man this has been a single i'm dying to show people.

I'm dying to show people this side of me. personality, a lot of people have seen me in interviews or on social media, they know I'm Corky, I embrace the weirdness and craziness of life for CRA, he never really understood that, so I wanted, I wanted to put that in a song, you know, I wanted to, I wanted to put some kind of crazy, you know, you know, into my mind, you know, walk in my shoes for a minute and hopefully, you know, get everyone to accept their flaws, you know, accept your crazy. embrace your quirks, things like being clumsy or whatever and make them beautiful, make them yours and that's okay, that's why the scream is there yeah, oh yeah, well the scream came by accident, oh, it really did and then it became a thing because I was like I was wasting time in the studio and I didn't know why I went back to the choir so I kept going up to the top and I was looking around and I'm still going and then it went back to the top of the chorus and somehow I landed perfectly on it and we thought we had to keep that and it just became a thing and now it's like man when you see That live concert everyone goes crazy and it's so much fun and an amazing way to present my new album, so I'm excited and excited that my fans embraced it and had fun. with that I saw the video, those things have never really happened?, like you don't put things, you're not that clumsy or not, yo, it may be a bit exaggerated, but yeah, I used to do it well.

I definitely love playing with fire like I used to, you know, playing and, like you know, building bonfires and doing all that stuff, fireworks and all that stuff, so I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up with you. you know, you know, catch the trash can fire and suddenly my house wouldn't surprise me, but I haven't done it yet, so let's try to stick with it, let's try to stick with it, let's try to stick with it, okay, okay. stuff, tell me about the tour, what's going on on the Luke Bryan K the Lights tour, man, and then on Ling's daily hunting and fishing tour, so now we're finishing up the Kill the Lights tour and then we're come on. together all year long you start that tour here in May yes, that's right, on May 5, I love playing here.

I played here with Keith Thuurban at Bridgestone and it was amazing, it was a lot of fun, so to come back and play with Luke and this tour is a lot of fun. I was trying to figure out how to describe it because it's so fun and you actually get to say it's so laid back and it feels like summer like summer. we're all amazing just you you your friends out there and you're loose backstage it's a lot of fun and a great atmosphere so it's my kind of tour it's amazing I mean Hut and fish in 11 every day it's kind of like summer camp , right, yeah, really, I'm like I'm texting Luke.

I thought about when we were going to fish on this tour because I mean, it's going to be a man fishing. I mean, I don't expect us to go hunting. like every morning, but at least let's go fishing, so it's okay, it looks good and we all love each other, so there's the bread, congratulations everyone, thank you.
