BREAKING NEWS: 2022 Ford Raptor-R (760HP Supercharged 5.2L V8)Jun 03, 2021
What's going on guys I'm Neo Auto and today we have
2022F-150 Raptor is going to be revealed next week on February 3rd and let me tell you now that Ford has some big changes for this generation. Excited to share this info with you guys so let's get off to a good start as some of you may already know I did a video a while back discussing the next generation
raptorand one of the topics discussed was what engine would be in it well it's been rumored. is that
fordhas big plans for this generation to understand how we got to this point we need to understand the history of the
raptorback in 2010 the first generation of the raptor was launched this was the first truck of this type no other brand had released a truck like this was an instant hit and by 2017 the raptor was in its second generation and while the redesign looked great there was one thing a lot of people were upset about because the mighty v8 had been replaced with a twin turbo v6 and even though it had more power than on the Raptor from the previous generation it just didn't sound as good despite this change, Raptors were selling like hot cakes with many dealers struggling to keep up with demand. real competition but that all changed when ram announced the trx if you haven't heard that ram trx is the first real competitor to the raptor this truck features the hellcat v8 making 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque this it's substantially more than the
fordraptor with 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque as a direct result ford will need to respond with a new raptor i mean after all dodge is putting these graphics under the hood of the raptor being eaten by A T-Rex Ram understands that people love the V8 engine and fully embraces it, giving people what they want, so what will Ford's response be? it looks like ford will be releasing not one but two variants of the new raptor the standard raptor The model will most likely come with the same 3.5 liter v6 but with a power boost it could realistically make around 500 horsepower of force and 535 pound-feet of torque. take on the trx ford will launch a second raptor variant with a v8 engine the v8 variant is believed to be called the raptor r the engine used will be none other than ford's 5.2 liter
superchargedv8 and will be more than capable of taking on the ram trx in the The gt500 5.2 makes 760 horsepower and even if ford decides to detune the engine for the raptor which they probably will it would still make more power than the ram trx now to make things even more exciting it's quite possible that the raptor will also get a tremec 7 speed dct like the gt500 if this is the case the raptor will shift extremely fast for those of you who don't know a dct is a dual clutch transmission its not like a stock automatic if anything its more like a transmission manual, if you've ever put a modern automatic transmission into sport mode to change gears you'll find there's always a delay to the shift but with a dct it feels almost instantaneous this will do All the difference in the world.
To be honest, if Ford doesn't put a V8 in the Raptor at this point, it's going to look so bad. How many videos would we see of a ram against a raptor and the ram simply destroying it in a drag race to the outside? about this new raptor there have been leaks this first picture shows a cad model you can see the new ford grille looks a lot like the previous generation to be honest but you can also see those new headlights i think those headlights make a big improvement and the next one picture here is even better it's an actual picture of one of the test models at the factory I'm sure this picture wasn't supposed to be posted I don't know how Ford keeps letting this happen but it looks like it's going to be a opening in the fender r flare maybe for aerodynamics or heat extraction not 100% sure but you can definitely tell ford has taken the time to sculpt this f-150 into an even more refined version of itself now when let's see the real reveal okay ford? has officially announced that it will be revealed on feb 3rd it was about time the v8 came back i dont know what ford was thinking when they got rid of it you just cant beat the rumble of a v8 engine as big as i am at this point what Worries is how much money it will cost considering a base raptor started at around 53k you will easily add another 15k just to get the v8 and to be honest it will probably be even more but nonetheless the raptor will eventually get a v8 and we should be very happy about that i think it's safe to say this raptor if it comes with the v8 is going to pose a huge threat to the ram trx just like the horsepower wars we are now going into a super truck war anyway guys that's going to do it for this video make sure to keep an eye on the channel if you're not already subscribed go ahead and click below.
