BMW M2 vs M2 Competition: Which Should You Buy?

Jun 08, 2021
Hello and welcome to sing through the glass. I felt like recently a lot of my friends have been buying BMW m2

competition

s. I can understand why a sub 50k sports car can do so much better. This is a very nice 2020 m2

competition

in

which

Tony Gravel car sales are currently $45k and tick a lot of boxes; However, there is one kind of problem if you are considering buying one of these cars and that is that this car is a standard BMW m2 because it is a 2017 m2 and it is 15 thousand less than the m2 comp and if we are talking about finances I jumped to the calculator of magnitude finances and discovered that you can save around two hundred and fifty pounds a month if you opt for a standard m2 rather than a comp, so I thought that today, while Tony has both cars in stock, I get behind the wheel of both and decide If you want to push yourself, spend a little more on that competition or, in fact, you might be better off saving the money. and sticking with the standard m2, let's find out, okay, we're starting things logically on the m2 that the original m2, the non-competition m2 topsy, launched in late 2015.

This is a 2017 car with 15,000 miles on the clock, it's listed at Tony's. website for sale for just under 32 thousand dollars now, in case you don't remember some facts and statistics about the performance of this car, we have a 6-3 liter turbocharged engine with single turbo charger

which

is important because of the competition, but we'll come back to that later, around 365 horsepower, 0-60 in about four and a half seconds. Now the car is available with a manual gearbox, but as you can see, this one here has the automatic DCT gearbox. I have heard the pros and cons.

More Interesting Facts About,

bmw m2 vs m2 competition which should you buy...

About both, some people really like having the flaps, but many other people say that the manual is the way to go, it's much more attractive and brings out the kind of charm of this car now that the m2 released it, there really are opinions divided. because some people thought it had hardened into some kind of true era, a time when BMW made driving vehicles accessible to driving enthusiasts. I think in recent years you could say that BMW has moved towards luxury and technology and electric mobility. but in the past they could always represent an affordable vehicle for drivers, as I'm just saying I think so.

I got distracted because I endured a very slow taxi that was not part of my test drive plan. anyway, it's going to hold back so I can barely squeeze some of the artists out of this car, but yeah, people were like, oh, here's a little baby car, it's relatively affordable and it's a little simplistic, it's been put together into a bit more fun package but then the purists were full and saying it's not a proper M engine and it feels a bit dead at times and yes I was right, some people loved it, some didn't, now I really think it's great because of the size of the package.

I like a smaller car and strangely it reminds me of the BMW era which I really loved. I really complain about BMWs for the fact that they don't really update their interior, even though the interiors felt a little old and I'm like, well, I actually like that fact because even though this is a 2017 car, it looks like the interior could be from 2006, but interestingly, that gives us a kind of charm, you know, I look at the dials and they're proper analog dials and it's like, oh, I don't see them too often anymore, so it's a pretty nice place to be, still, of course, still. get all the kind of technology from BMW and the usability and practicality that it is and every day BMWs live in the day to day, but this is something, there's something about it that doesn't sound as good as I remember it when it was released, apparently when we get to The sound of the m2 comp will be an even bigger issue but yeah it's nice it's always better at low revs once you start cranking it up it starts to fill up a bit synthetic I think but it has a nice low rumble to the interpreters.
I'd say it's not lacking, okay, less than 400 horsepower, but who cares, first of all, I'm pretty sure a quick tune will fix it, but second of all, it feels pretty fast, I mean, these days and I'm getting a lot of traction like them. I kept traction because since I keep saying this car is for sale, I don't think Tony would have a very good time trying to sell it if it's upside down in that hedge, so I'm trying to be a little respectful, but if he turned off the traction, this thing exhausted me for days. I mean how many clips I've seen on Instagram and YouTube of them just going sideways and, yeah, prolonged exhaustion, it's pretty outrageous, let's find out what happens. comp offers more because at this point I don't see why you would feel the need for anything more than this now.
Before we jump into the m2 Kampf, I want to address the main difference between these two cars, which I now realized is their engines. that I am currently serving in the rear and their engines are in the front, but the reason for this will become clear very soon. Basically when BMW made the m2 comp they addressed all the issues or concerns that people had with the original m2 in the The fact that it wasn't a proper em car so they took the engine from the m3 m4 and put it in the m2 comp, so we now have a twin-turbocharged three-liter inline-six instead of the single-turbocharged three-liter inline-six.
Huge gains in performance, there's a lot to talk about when we go out for a ride, but one thing that theoretically changed, not for the better, was the sound, people complained when they used the m2 comp that it didn't sound as good as the original m2, so I've parked the cars like this so we can do a little bit of starting and a rev battle so you can decide or at least listen to the two cars side by side and then we'll hit the road and see what the same competition has to offer. Now I'm amazed at how different this car feels and even sitting in the cabin it's like it's night and day for me but you know they have to start with these seats okay maybe just a little change but in actually a very important one: these are the seats of the m3 m4 amitabh, you sit low in the cabin, they have a little more support, they are sportier, it makes the m2 look more like an m249 and m2, I mean this.
I understand why people say this is more of a proper M car, what the M2

should

always have been, like in this bag here a horrible aqua color. I don't think I've seen an f2 in this color before. It's just incredible on a sunny day like today and then inside I have all the latest BMW news, the latest BMW technology and voila, I'm almost out of gas so there was plenty to talk about before we headed back to Tony's house and Strangely, they've done a lot of work on the suspension on this car, but the steering actually feels a bit lighter over time;
It felt very heavy, an old school BMW, but in this car, even with everything on, Sport Plus alone and Oh it handles the road a little better and is less fragile. It's not so hard on your back. I don't think I remember bouncing around in this mode in the M. Can I say: Oh, let's go in my sports car, this feels like a nicer, more luxurious place to be there, let's go to BMW once. again pushing towards a sort of Lakshmi on their cars for talking about Sport Plus and the sport mode again to hint at the fact that this is a proper homebrew car and now I have all the variables in terms of the modes I can choose, the handling I I can choose. engine I can choose Kia box to go through Comfort Sport and Sport Plus, while in the original image I have a type of switch that was going to be sporty for the entire car if I was going to go to sport and also had to remove traction. it was like there you go and that car I felt really spun those rear wheels a lot more than this one even in this thing you just sit back and go it doesn't squirm like that M for us underpass there that noise yeah I mean it's 2020 this is a car with 1,300 pocket miles basically new, we are not getting into a 2020 car nor any car moving before we go, wow this sounds amazing, not that this won't happen, but because everything else doesn't matter So, I kinda miss the low end noise of the m2 because when you were cruising with that kind of mentality you were into something sporty, whereas if you turned everything down to be comfortable you might as well have an 8i suffice.
I do not know yet. It's basically a low-end petrol version of the series one or two. Now the question is whether it is worth the additional expense. I think so, but it's just a different car. You really

should

n't consider them at the same time because the original m2 is a little more analog, it's a little more brutal, a little more aggressive and while it may be basic in that sense, it's fun, maybe that's the word charm in the Cobham sense, I note that because this doesn't have much charm, it's all about one thing: performance. I guess that's what M cars are all about so I just took a character out of it that I wish they had kept but my goodness is it any good and as a diary I mean I'm jealous of poor Wallace because as a diary he just has all that new BMW business or some nice Alcantara waiting here on the doors, those digital dials now compare to the totally analog ones we had on the m2 I'm confused because it's really good right?
It's not the same most of the time when you have competition or you see that he's lighter, he's more powerful, that's another thing, knowing that this guy is the same. lighter or overpass the tent was prepared four thousand in the wrong fourth gear anyway for you these cars weigh 55 kilos more than air, which maybe that's why I'm sorry, I should have planted it on the road because to the additional performance, 40 additional horsepower and almost 500 Newton meters of torque means that nothing six times is based on the same with who is reduced by 0.1 of a second, something as stupid as that, so the car is similar in speed, It's more tunable I have to say with those twin turbochargers.
You could really tinker with this engine unless the ECU is pretty easy. I have heard that many people can get something like 500 525 horsepower with a very simple flash update of the ECU color. It's actually a really difficult decision to ask a really difficult question. to answer because fundamentally the m2 comp is a better car in almost every way, I mean, it is faster, it is more precise, the interiors are nicer, it attracts me because it is a kind of BMW of the new era 2020, it has all These parts and elements I just really like, but the original m2 is more fun.
Yes, it sounds better to answer that question, but the fact that it's a little bumpier and that it has analog dials and everything feels a little more. I don't know, it's rudimentary. I'm using that. word a lot right now appeals to me because you laugh a little more, this is a little too serious sometimes so if you are looking to save money or if you are looking for reasons why you should choose this and not move on to the m2 competition. I think there are a lot, but I'm going to throw you a curveball because this car is about forty-five thousand dollars, this one is about thirty-two thousand dollars, well, in the middle, it's a BMW 1m, possibly the best modern one.
M car that BMW has made and the m2 reminds me of the 1m and what's the point of buying a car that reminds you of that when for a few grand more for a few quid a month extra you could have a 1m? I think that's what I would choose if I'm honest among all of them. I don't even have the 1m in this video, but yeah, that's what I would choose. This money felt like a gravel ad, but it's not an interesting topic. I have many friends, you bought two comps from them recently and then you look at the used market and see the prices for m2 s.
I want to go out and try it for myself, so I hope you enjoyed it, give it a thumbs up. above you have and be sure to stay subscribed for many more videos to come
