Ariana Grande's Skin Care Routine & Guide to a ‘60s Cat Eye | Beauty Secrets | Vogue

Mar 11, 2024
Hi Vogue, I'm Ariana Grande and I'm here today to

guide

you through my

skin

prep and make a hopefully pretty makeup look. I'm going to start with Sarah Ford's Biocellular Oxygen Serum. Sarah has been doing my

skin

for a couple of years. It really transformed the texture of my skin, it's so soft and smooth and I still break out all the time when I wear a lot of makeup on sets, but it keeps my skin as clear as possible and as least reactive as possible, so I'm super obsessed next , I'm going to use Lemare moisturizer and I'm going to mix it with a little bit of SPF as I grew up in Florida.

I spent a lot of time in the sun. I think that's probably where some of my discoloration comes from, my freckles and everything. It's important to protect your skin as much as possible when you're wearing so much makeup. I clearly wear a lot of makeup. I'm sure everyone will be like who's next. I'm going to use the REM Beauty Cooling Under Eye Balm. One of my favorite products we have, it has my favorite texture in the world, it's super cool and plump, so it fills in those little fine lines and creates such a smooth base for your makeup.

I like to make the ends very short and shaved. I'm going to mess them up and then draw the shape I like, which is more of an Audrey Hepburn-style straight, raised eyebrow, so I'm going to try to do that. Now I have eyebrows, I don't know what I want. I'm going to do the following. I feel like I'm going to go in a strange order today, but I'm going to go with the flow and we'll figure it out together. I started doing family theater and community theater in Boca Raton, Florida, which is crazy. When I was like eight years old and I always associated every character I played with a different makeup kit, so when I was Annie I remember wearing a different blush or a different look even though I was eight and there was minimal makeup which was always something really fun for me and then in music, I don't know, a different look for every song and video, it became a very important piece of the puzzle and it's a very important part of being an artist and telling stories and also watching drag.
I love drag, it's very inspiring to me when I was on Broadway, doing 13. I used to go afterwards to see the queens and sometimes I'd end up singing and that was a really joyful and important part of my life. I'm going to use this Contour. Nuria also says because I stole it from my makeup artist. For starters, I have a huge forehead and my hairline is sliding further back every day, so I have to contour more and more over time. continued I'm going to do my little button nose trick that I like and then I'm going to highlight using our REM Beauty Miss Mercury highlighter.
I'm not kidding you, but you may know that I was always fascinated by Audrey Hepburn. and Marilyn Monroe because you could tell they were doing these makeup tricks before anyone really noticed, but you look at Audrey's beautiful eyebrows that she drew on and the way she put on her lipstick like here and then Marilyn had hers. tricks it's just and she I think she used to use Vaseline as a highlighter back then it's so cool I've always been fascinated by it I love it I've always loved makeup I don't know what I'm doing this is the most baffled makeup video on Vogue channel I'm going to do Bobby Brown.
I'm going to take this pink one here, this one and basically my entire eyelid, but also my entire face. One of my favorite things to do is create a 60s looking cat eye and I'm going to use our all purpose eye pencil in intergalactic. I'm really worried about making sure that you guys are seeing everything that I'm in the process of doing so that you can't see anything that I'm doing. I'm coloring like a four year old, but it will all work out, trust me, my next step will be to blush and I'll use Dior Rosie Glow, something I do with my blush that also makes no sense. like go on my brows and this and everywhere else something else that I fell in love with recently is doing like an ombre version of a cat eye instead of a liquid line back to Bobbi Brown, I'm gonna mix that guy up this one, oh my god, I can use it.
I just discovered that we have hope. I feel like my relationship with Beauty has changed a lot over the years, especially because I started so young, you know, being exposed to so many voices at a young age. age and especially when people have things to say about your appearance and stuff at a young age, it's very hard to know what's worth listening to or not, but you know when you're 17 you don't really know, you don't know yet. Over the years I used makeup as a disguise or as something to hide behind and more and more hair, thicker and thicker, eyeliner, you name it, and that can be so beautiful sometimes and I still love it .
I'm putting on mascara and I appreciate it, but I think as I get older I don't love that that's the intention behind it. Now I think of it as self-expression and accentuating what is here, our relationships with Beauty. They are as personal as if we were here talking about
