. So this is really a spec update of the model that was released a year ago, so we don't see any external changes. All the changes happen inside, but we also get a new color, so we have rose gold in addition to space gray gold and silver, and of course we'll see them all in this video. There are now two stock configurations, one for 12.99 and the other for 15.99. Take a look at both in this video but both come with eight gigs of faster RAM this year, in addition to the 515 gpus Intel HD graphics we also have faster storage with the base line starting at 256 and the upgraded model at 512. but If you want to go all out, you can custom order it with a 1.3 gigahertz core m7 processor.

I have. I hadn't unpacked one of those before. The rose gold version I have here is the base configuration, the cheapest configuration that you can see on the back with the specifications highlighted. Now the first thing I'm going to do here is remove all the plastic and Once I do that, I can go ahead and lift the lid. The first thing we will see here is our rose gold frosted macbook and that is because we have a plastic case covering it so once we lift it out of the box we can go ahead and remove it to reveal our nude rose gold macbook .

It's a really stunning color. It's definitely more vibrant and a little flashier than the other

. With that out of the way, let's get to the packaging. The first thing I want to see here is the paperwork and the paperwork package has rose gold lettering on it so again good attention to detail here we can go ahead and open it up and inside we'll find a surprise so this includes a set of stickers

A 29-watt power adapter is also included, so again, this is a travel charger. It has a USB Type C connector as well as removable pins so you can unfold these pins, remove them and add extension cables or international wall adapters and of course. Once again a USB-C to USB-C cable is included. Now like I said I also bought a Core M5 version of this laptop and that is this gold version so you can find those upgraded specs on the back so let's use this gold next to the gold rolls to compare the two speed differences. Taking a closer look at the hardware, it will be a bit of deja vu. Here we have the same 12-

, so it is really impressive screen, but it doesn't have the improved screen technology of the imac 5k or the new ipad pro but it's still a fantastic screen, it's very clear and sharp with good contrast color reproduction, it's nice and bright with good viewing angles out of reach and we've got a nice anti-reflective coating here which really mitigates the glare on this glass screen.

Additionally, at the top of the screen, unchanged, there is a 480p face camera with an LED indicator next to it and an ambi light sensor. Unfortunately, this is not a great camera, but it gets the job done in most situations. It would be nice if they could find a way to make this at least a 720p camera like the rest of the macbook line. The hinge is also completely metal, unlike other MacBooks that integrate the antennas in that place. in the case of the macbook the antennas are built into the chassis and since the macbook is a fanless computer you won't find much ventilation in the chassis, again the back panel is a piece of aluminum which is now held in place with these pentalobe screws.

These screws have the same color as the macbook, so they pay a lot of attention to details, of course we also have these black plastic feet to protect the bottom of the macbook. Now once again on the left side we have a USB type c connector so I haven't added a second one yet which I think is disappointing for a lot of people so basically everything goes through this single USB port which It means you'll probably need adapters, and Apple doesn't include them with your MacBook purchase, so you'll have to. Please purchase them separately, so keep those costs in mind when purchasing.

Also, on the right side is our combination headphone jack and audio input for microphones. We also have a dual microphone array. By the way, the silver version is the only one with a white insert. This is where a lot of innovations and changes have occurred to allow for this ultra-slim design, so one of them is this keyboard that features a dome switch, a stainless steel dome switch, and a butterfly. mechanism, the idea here is that because the keys are so shallow you need larger keys to press them so you don't lose them because you can't feel them as well as you would with previous macbooks, that means it doesn't matter where you press them.

The keys feel good and even, unlike other larger keys that wobble when you press them. I've been using the keyboard for about a year. The best thing about this keyboard is that it is very lightweight and does not need to be applied. There is a lot of pressure to register a click, which makes the keyboard extremely fast. There is less mechanical action. It is not necessary to press so hard for the mechanism to work. Once you get used to this keyboard, you can type very fast. and that's one of my favorite aspects. The other big story here is that each key has an individual LED light, so the lighting looks a little sharper, a little sharper, maybe a little brighter and there's less leakage around the keys, so yeah you compare this to On the macbook pro with retina display you can see that there is a lot of light filtering around the edges and the key lighting is much softer.

On the macbook it looks much more precise and much clearer although there is still some leakage around the keys but otherwise it definitely looks much better now the touchpad on the macbook is relatively large compared to other macbooks which It takes up a significant portion of the palm rest but never seems to get in the way. Now the forced touchpad eliminates the physical click of a traditional trackpad and instead replicates the click with a vibration motor. They call it the touch motor. The effect is completely indistinguishable from a physical click. It is really surprising. It creates the feeling that the trackpad is physically moving even though it is now completely stationary because the trackpad is stationary, meaning you can press anywhere on the surface and receive the same response.

This is different to a traditional trackpad which is hinged towards the top, making it more rigid when you try to press on the top again. The MacBook has an impressive set of speakers. especially for something so small and thin, so the speakers are located at the top, above the keyboard, just below the screen, and they sound really immersive, they're nice and full, with a good amount of detail without distortion, now there are not many basses. here, but they still sound really open and clear and they are definitely great sounding speakers and some of the best sounding speakers I've heard on the laptop.

However, it's still a MacBook Pro-priced computer and ultimately trades flexibility and power for its ultraportable design, so this is still a tough recommendation, but overall I recommend the MacBook Pro if this is your computer. primary, but this is a great ultraportable option if you have something more powerful at home.
