More Interesting Facts About,

amazon fba for beginners 2021 step by step tutorial...

And trying to make a ton of money in the next few weeks is going to be very difficult to do and we don't want to see you lose your shirt by losing your mind too quickly, okay, so let's start here, but. First, let's look at a couple of things we're looking at here in the large segments. First of all, we will see how to find products. We'll talk a little more about Amazon FBA. and essentially what it is, but then we're going to talk about how to find products correctly, how you find products that are high in demand and low in supply.
amazon fba for beginners 2021 step by step tutorial
I don't know if you've taken any kind of economics course. o o you studied economics, but you will know that you want to be in a position where there is not much supply but there is a lot of demand. We'll show you how to find those different types of products. There are a couple of great techniques that we have for that and then we'll talk about how to get those products right, how do we find the products that we can then sell, how do we find manufacturers, if we deal with trading companies, if we go directly to the manufacturer, how can we take it to United States or wherever you are, so we'll go over everything we can regarding sourcing products.
amazon fba for beginners 2021 step by step tutorial
Buying those products sounds pretty scary, maybe ordering pallets of products from some kind of country, on the other hand. side of the world, but it can actually be much easier and simpler once you start the process, so if at any point you feel intimidated by this, know that it will take some time, but you have to take it one step at a time . start developing this knowledge, uh, and you can't really win from this, so let's start by understanding fulfillment by Amazon. Amazon Fba, that's what your Amazon fulfillment means. Now, this is the most popular route for people selling on Amazon. especially in

2021

, there is also another option, although if you don't want Amazon to fulfill it, which means Amazon is actually shipping the packages for you, you are not the one mailing those packages, this is what you will see when people does

amazon

fba you will also see this main option so they ship from their warehouses you are just the seller so you get a cut there this is a great move for most people but there is also something called amazon. fbm, which is merchant fulfillment, which is basically listing something on Amazon and then shipping that product yourself.
You can totally do it. In fact, I know many people who would prefer to do that when they start selling on Amazon. and there are advantages and disadvantages to each of these. Now we'll mainly talk about Amazon's FBA fulfillment, where they advertise shipping, but we'll touch a little on Facebook if you want to ship those products yourself. Now, the pros and cons. of each of these it is important to understand this because with something like fba you may save some time and in fact you will probably end up selling more in our experience selling more when you do fba because you have that main shipping that is available in most In some cases, Amazon ships it for you, so it could end up saving you time and you don't have to go to the post office to ship those things.
The problem with Amazon Fba is that it can actually be a bit more expensive because Amazon requires quite a few fees and you will notice that as a common theme throughout Amazon they charge a lot of fees in a lot of different areas, this is not without good reason, I mean, In many cases they are promoting your product. For you, the Amazon search engine is the largest shopping search engine in the world, so when people want to buy something, they go to Amazon and Amazon can promote this product for you, so it's great to have it there now, merchant fulfillment is very fast.
Going over this will probably save you some money on fees because you may be able to do it yourself. You don't have to pay all these Amazon fees, but we found that in the end it doesn't sell as much and people really want to have the main two-day shipping included, they don't want to have to pay five dollars and ninety-five cents extra for shipping, so So we suggest opting for FBA if possible, especially if the margins are still there. We'll also talk about profit margins in just a minute, but let's get into the section here where we talk about finding products, how the heck do we find a product to sell on Amazon?
Now it's true that it used to be a lot easier to find products with good profit margins five or ten years ago selling on Amazon, but it's still very possible to find products like this, so one strategy we could use, which is probably the strategy for Beginners, it's just looking for random things and guessing like we used to do. I was actually doing this a long time ago when I used to sell a lot of products on eBay. What we did was, every time I bought something, I would look at the cost of the product and then I would go and try to get the product and I would try to compare that and see if I can get it for a lower price.
This is not the best method. If I'm still here and maybe I'm thinking about selling some kind of winter. right gloves and I'm looking here and I'm just trying to find something right. It's going to be really hard to go through this and find products without any software or any help because who knows, you know. Okay, this sells for 16.95, but is it possible to take advantage of this? It has a lot of reviews, it's already at the top here, they're actually sponsored, so what we recommend doing is not just stopping by here and blindly guessing what products are being sold.
To end up in a really big fiasco for you, what we suggest doing is getting this software called Jungle Scout. So Jungle Scout is a software that will cost you a bit of money. I don't know if we have any discounts. codes, but we will leave a link below. You can check it out if you want and like it. I said I don't think there is a discount code, but if there is one we will include it below. Um, but basically what Jungle Scout does is this beautiful piece of software. I love it. What it really does is show you the average monthly sales.
They are obviously extrapolating a lot of this data. They don't have all of them. We have this data available, but they are doing everything they can to give you this information. This is the number one tool for sellers on Amazon. I mean, it's an absolutely beautiful tool here, but we can look at the average price of winter gloves. 19.16 we can see the average number of reviews, but we can also see the opportunity score here, which is not very good, it has a high demand, but it also has a lot of competition in this, so by seeing this, you will know that you probably don't. we are I'm going to want to go and start trying to sell winter gloves because it seems like this market is already a little flooded.
The profit margins are not that good, as you can see, some people, on average, could be losing money. Some people might just be losing money. I'll be making a couple of dollars, this is just, of course, just an estimate from Jungle Scout, but this piece of software, you know, we can look at it and see its price, we can see its average monthly sales, obviously they're selling a ton, You know? of these they are selling 10 20 30 or 40,000 gloves a month, products a month, so they are absolutely overwhelmed with that, but it will be very difficult for us to take advantage of that, so we are not going to continue with that, but Actually, in Instead of just guessing and using the software you could do, what we're actually going to do is go to the jungle explorer, so we're going to go to the jungle explorer.
I'm going to log in here and we're going to look for new opportunities directly in the product opportunities. There is a tab on this site that will allow us to do this if you don't want to use this software if you don't want to pay for the software you can still do this we'll talk more about that later in this video if you want to forgo that but I think it'll probably be worth worth an investment to be totally honest with you at least. do some initial research on the product, so once this paid page loads here, I'll be able to log in and then we can see the new opportunities available to us here, so we'll log in to Jungle Scout. panel here and now what we are going to do is go to product research.
I'm going to click down here and we're going to go to the opportunity finder and now once we have the opportunity finder, this is where we can start to discover different types of products that we might want to consider selling now. I urge you not to try to simply sell products that you love, use, or are passionate about because those products may not have good margins. I need to find products, uh, it doesn't matter if I like it or not, it doesn't matter if I'm using that product myself, for example, you know, if I sell women's razors, I don't use women's razors, but that's okay. because as long as it makes me some money and it's a good product, because at the end of the day you know if it's a bad product you won't sell it on Amazon for a long time, that's true, so now what we are What we're going to do is that we can select all the categories, but I actually like to target a couple of different categories, so home and kitchen, for example, maybe office products is one that we consider to be quite profitable and you can check out here and decide which ones you want. go for or we would probably suggest just selecting everything here for the moment to get your feet wet and try to figure out certain types of products now, once we do that we can go and look at the average monthly units sold, I would suggest If you're looking for a product that sell at least 100 units a month, you know that if there are five a month because you're trying to sell some kind of weird, obscure fly trap that no one has heard of, it probably won't be worth your time or no one else can spare the energy in a listing that doesn't sell anything because no one is looking for it, so for this let's simply set a minimum of 100 monthly units sold.
This is a fairly low number. You know, you could even set it closer to 500 or closer. to a thousand if you want, but for our first product we will start with only 100 units now we can also see the average monthly price. I would suggest setting a filter for this. The reason for this is because if you sell a product on Amazon for 10 or less, what we find is that your profits will be almost non-existent, which means that Amazon charges a lot of fees, but there is also shipping, there is the cost of manufacturing the product and take it to Amazon.
Yes, they are charging fees and there will be product returns, there will be other problems. I wouldn't suggest selling anything less than 10 with Amazon Fba, you just won't have good profit margins unless you're getting your actual product for about 10 cents and you can sell it for 10, which is pretty rare, so let's set a floor price. for 10 and a maximum price we'll set at about 80 here. so that not too many products appear, but also what we found is that if you have a product on Amazon for five hundred dollars you will get a lot less sales and most people will not be able to simply convert to cold traffic, so we will keep it between a rangefrom 10 to 80.
The other reason we keep this, we cap this average monthly price at 80 is because if you're just starting to sell products on Amazon. You probably won't be able to afford to sell 500 sofas out of every thousand. You probably don't have that much money to invest in something like Amazon Fba, so we want to keep this price a little low for our first round of products that we're trying to sell and you can review and add a few more filters here if you want, which I would do is to suggest that you reduce this competition from very low to medium competition, they have several different products.
There are factors in this to decide what will be competitive and what won't, but this will help you tap into those niches or industries that not everyone is good at, like if we try to sell cutting boards, everyone sells cutting boards, it's very difficult. take advantage of that because a lot of people are looking for it, so we're going to go with some very low to medium competition. We can also consider seasonality, which will be important. Christmas just happens, so we probably don't want it to. sell a Christmas item or it could be a way to enter the market here, so now what we're going to do is click search because we've set up our different things here, so we're going to wait. so this loads for just a second and it looks like it just loaded here, so now we can check here and we can see all of these different products that came up based on our search criteria for a product that we might want to sell. on Amazon, so we can check out here and you'll see some that just won't be relevant to you, so I'm not going to sell a Yankee candle because, well, I don't have Yankee candles, um, so What we're going to spend here because what What we're really looking for in this case is that we're probably trying to find something that we can private label, meaning we can actually source from a manufacturer that we can slap our own brand on. on it and then we can sell it for a higher price, so you know this one is actually quite interesting right here, Valentine's Day gnomes, you know, I've actually seen this a few times.
We were researching a product about two months ago, in November or maybe three months ago in November and we're looking at gnomes for Christmas and it's very interesting to see that for some reason the market doesn't seem very tapped and we're just using this as an example here. for the purpose of this video, but let's say we're intrigued by this, so we can continue, we can click on the Valentine's Day gnomes and we can see the average number of units sold, obviously, starting to collect a batch of one thousand 1,621 units. sold in January so far, this is of course an estimate, it will be a seasonal item so you have to decide that it is something you really want to end up selling, but let's go ahead and start looking into this a little more.
Okay, so let's search for this on Amazon, so we're searching for Valentine's Day gnomes on Amazon and we can go ahead and we can see what we have here and what we have is a number of products that don't really have a lot of reviews. I mean, take a look at this, they don't have many reviews, but they are averaging quite a few monthly sales. This, of course, is an estimate. It may not be entirely accurate, but it is very intriguing to see why there are so many gnomes. They are sold here and they are getting quite a few sales right so this could be a product that we are interested in trying to source and sell so now a quick note here if so we will use this as an example for this video here you get gnomes and sell valentine gnomes, but the problem here is that I am filming this video, we are creating this video in January, so if we really wanted to do this, we should have been ahead of the trend.
That's right, because it's going to take a couple of weeks to find a manufacturer that will take them to Amazon and then Amazon will ship them and build some reputation there, so if you're going to do something seasonal like this, you're going to do it. I want to think many months from now, so now it's January. I'm going to start thinking about maybe 4th of July or Independence Day gnomes or summer gnomes and maybe Easter gnomes later in the year so I'll be prepared for them. Just a quick note I wanted to mention, so let's go back to Jungle Scout and say that we are very interested in selling gnomes because they are selling quite a few gnomes here, it seems like this is a pretty good product to sell, so now that we have found a potential product that we want to end up selling, we have identified that there is demand, obviously they are selling thousands of Valentine's Day gnomes per month and there seems to be quite a bit of demand.
Also okay, now that we've identified that what we're going to do is try to find a way to get that and that's going to be in the next segment here, so assuming you're using the Jungle Scout plugin here, what we can do is to go to the Chrome extension that we have installed here, after we have searched for Valentine gnomes, we can go ahead and click on it and this is just another view that you can have here, with an average of 1 672. monthly sales, which What we're really seeing here is that the distribution here of the different products is sold correctly, so these are all different brands here and they all probably sell thousands of different gnomes, so they're obviously selling. many here their monthly income uh, for example, here is more than fifty thousand dollars.
I guess a lot of people like gnomes, I don't know, maybe older people, I wouldn't buy one of these, but some people obviously do with an average price. of 15.78, so we probably won't become billionaires with this specific product because the margins may be a little low, but it could be a great way to enter the market and start building our reputation here, so what? What we can do now is go to Alibaba, so this is Alibaba and this is where we will get a lot of our products from. This will allow you to connect directly with a manufacturer or sometimes in some cases a trading company, so there is a difference between a manufacturer and a trading company on something like alibaba and you will want to know the differences between these two.
Now, as a trading company, you will probably end up paying more for a product because this is not actually a company that makes your specific product, but you actually buy it from them and they are like a middleman and then they go talk to the manufacturer and get it. they make for you, so it's not the best. option The good thing about dealing with a trading company rather than a manufacturer is that their customer service tends to be a little better in our experience, but you'll probably want to go looking for a manufacturer. I have a lot of friends who do a lot of amazon fba who end up taking quite a few business trips to China and to be honest, most of the products will come from China or a few different countries, which have quite a bit of manufacturing infrastructure in those countries.
Okay, so let's go ahead and look for the product we just found in Jungle Scout. We may not sell it well yet. We still need to do more research and see how cheap we can get this product for now. we want to use is like a quick and dirty rule of thumb that we like to do, it's called the rule of thirds, so let's say we look back at these different Valentine's acquaintances and we see that the average price is 15.78, so what we want to do here is using the rule of thirds, which means that a third of your price here is probably going to go towards the cost of the product, so maybe we would want five dollars or less. they have for the product a third of that goes to Amazon, right, Amazon charges a lot of fees, their referral fee, their FBA fee, their long term storage fee and also a seller membership of 39.99 per month, so they charge a lot of fees. but with the rule of thirds we have the first thing which is the cost of the product which could be five dollars, then we have the Amazon fees which could be another five dollars or more and then hopefully the other third can be our profit, That would hopefully be five dollars in our pocket for this, so let's see if this is really going to happen.
We can go back to Alibaba here, let's search for Valentine gnome and see what we can find here for Valentine gnome, so let's search for this. here for Valentine gnome we're going to have a bunch of pop up stuff here and this is an interesting looking gnome creature but it looks like we can get them for about 2.63 cents a piece with a minimum order of 500. now This is probably from a commercial company that we can consult here and see specifically. We can actually look at this company here, but let's check and see if we can find something at a better price or just a better option here.
You know, these really look cool, I guess, and they're relatively cheap. 1.37. We can review here a little more. You know, is there anything we really like? I like these. I think they might actually sell pretty well, so come on. Let's go ahead and click on these and see what we're dealing with here, so this is a trading company, as we can see, based on this right here it says trading company, so we probably won't get them from here. we're going to want to find a manufacturer, but let's go over here and read a little bit about the company and some of the different things that they have available, so what we can do and what I suggest doing is placing orders in at least three to five of these different manufacturers or if you buy it from a trading company, you want to order them and get them from a couple different ones and when I say this I don't mean that you should order thousands from each different supplier. but you're going to order a sample from each of these companies, so go ahead and what I think you should do and what we like to do is pick five different companies.
We're telling you, you know this could be a good one. here or maybe we like this one for only 20 cents which is extremely cheap a little bit too cheap in some cases you have to be careful how cheap they are because sometimes if you just go for the lowest price you can get some nice ones. poor quality, but we're going to order a sample from each of these five and the way we're going to do that is we're going to send a message to these companies, so we're going to go in here and We can send a message to each of these companies.
Communicate with them. We can contact them and say: Hello, this is what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a thousand of these items. I'm looking for x amount of these. items to send to me so I can sell them. Can you make it for this price blah blah blah and can you also send me a sample? Is there a price for the sample because sometimes they will charge you a little? In fact, in many cases it is free to get a sample from these companies, they may simply ask you to pay for shipping so they don't waste a ton of money sending samples to potential buyers, so go ahead and maybe look for five.
Here are different products that you can experiment with and then you will end up taking them home. Everywhere else, you'll inspect each of those five different products that those companies sent you as a sample and then decide based on price based on your negotiations with those companies which one you think you want to use for your FBA business. . Once you make that decision, we go through the process of placing an order with one of these companies now, in most cases, we end up just transferring money to these companies. And in many cases, you will make 30 up front and then pay 70 once the product is shipped, but of course you can do that.
Negotiate these terms. I've seen people pay 50 up front and then 50 once the product is shipped, but that will really be the way you can get products and you can deal directly with manufacturers if you want to private label something for example. Let's say we're not selling gnomes, but let's say we're selling workout equipment, so let's look up, like workout shorts, and we can find something like this and then maybe we can end up labeling these meanings as private. that we can work with the manufacturer to put our label on the side of these shorts or the side of these leggings or anything else here, so this is also another option that people like to do because this can really build your brand as a whole and then you can end up selling these brands.
I mean, I've had friends who sold their brands, created businesses on Amazon Fba, they became very popular, people start to recognize that brand and then they can sell this brand just the intellectual property of the brand itself for hundreds of thousands of dollars because it's a very reputable brand and they own some of those spots at the top of the list on Amazon searches because they've created this great brand for all of their products that they've put their brand on, they've worked with the manufacturer, so That's what we suggest doing, but let's go a little deeper into this here, so once you discuss your different agreements with the manufacturers or the trading companies that you are working with through alibaba or through some other type of source, so what you are going to do isDiscuss how those products are shipped to you, this is an important step of the process because we have two different options, unless the manufacturer is close to you, they will probably have to ship these products to you from the other side of the world. world in most cases, in many cases this is coming from China, so we really have two big options here, the first option is to have this product shipped to you via c, so if you ship products via c, we find that The average price it will cost you just from our experience here tends to be about 25 cents to 50 cents per pound.
It really depends on what you're selling and how much space it takes up as a whole, um, but you can end up receiving a lot of products by sea for a relatively cheap price in terms of shipping. The problem here if the manufacturer sends its products to Amazon by sea. The problem here can take quite a while, I mean, we. We're talking in a couple of weeks, these will arrive on big ships across the ocean across the Pacific. In some cases it will take a long time, more than a month as we have seen, so that is the problem with your manufacturer shipping your products to Amazon by sea now the fastest way to do it is by air.
The problem with air though, as you might expect, when you get it in five days instead of a month, it will end up costing you. More we see that this may end up being closer to a dollar or two dollars per pound but of course, as I said, it also depends on the overall space that the product occupies. Now you'll also want to make sure you have a slanted barcode so Amazon can ship them. We can go more into that in a later video. We'll follow up here to touch on a couple of things you might like us to go over, but also let us know below in the comments section if there's anything else you'd like us to explain more about.
I'm trying to cover as much as I can here, so I hope you can understand that, but what I really want to do is take you to Amazon Seller Central here to show you a little bit and so you can get started with this now, which we have to know about this is like I said before. Amazon likes to charge their fees and one of the fees they charge is a general seller fee just to allow you to get on their platform so you can have the individual plan here or you can have the professional plan as an Amazon seller now.
Almost everyone I know has the professional plan, which will cost 39.99 per month, or you can do the individual plan now. The problem with the individual plan is that you are paying per item sold, this can really end up costing you a lot. money so you know that you might want to start with the individual plan at first when you're just starting out because you're not selling a lot of products, but once you start selling a dozen products or more, then you'll want to switch to the professional. plan as an Amazon seller, but I suggest you go to this page.
We'll try to link it below and go ahead and look at some of the different things that they're accepting here. They are different rates that Amazon charges. In fact, they help you estimate your Amazon sales margin so you can go through and see the different referral rates that they have, so every time someone buys a product it depends on the category that they buy the product in, but you Basically, paying Amazon or someone else as a referral fee for attracting someone to your product. Remember that Amazon is one of the largest search engines in the world, so you will end up paying a commission to other people or companies to get people to actually buy. your products, so here's a good list of all the different things, if we sell beauty products, we're paying, it looks like eight percent for products with total sales of 10 or less and then 15 for more items that you Sin However, we will note that the general trend is that these referral fees can be approximately 15 percent of our total price that we sell these items for, so please note that some may be lower, up to approximately eight percent, even in some cases, computers are only six percent, but in many cases you can end up paying 15 as a referral fee to Amazon.
Well, once we've done that, let's talk about what makes a good listing because we'll end up here soon. but we want to go over what makes a good listing, so let's go back to these products here, let's go back to the gnomes and take a look at some of these gnomes that are selling well, so let's go ahead and look at these gnomes. let's get to the first ones that are coming out that are not sponsored so let's take a look at these right here this is a two pack of these little gnomes now what they're doing here is we can look and we can see that.
They have quite a few words in their title. This is something we've been doing for so long. You want to include a lot of keywords in your title. This will be a great tactic. If you had a title that was Valentine's Day. day gnome and that was it, there is no other title, you will end up missing a lot of opportunities, so you will want to fill in as many keywords here as you can that are relevant keywords if you want to learn more. As for what keywords you should use, you can do two things: You can look at your competition and you can say, "Well, I'm going to borrow some of these ideas." Don't copy, don't totally copy other sellers, that's just not very good.
You don't want to be that person, but you can borrow some ideas. You can change the order. You can decide. Did you know? I'm not going to have a Santa doll in there, but I'm going to change this for a Valentine's doll, maybe. or something you know just start changing things up there and you can borrow them or you can go back to Jungle Scout and you can go to your keywords and you can start searching for different types of keywords so search for keywords and we. we can start searching for things related to that so we can type this let's search for Valentine gnome and see what shows up here and we can search for it oh and it looks like you really need a more expensive one which we don't have here so it doesn't matter so a Once you've included some keywords in your title, you'll also want to see your description here.
This is very interesting. I've never seen emojis in descriptions. a lot but I actually like it a little bit um this description isn't that bad obviously they're giving you quite a bit of information but there's definitely a lot going on here what we really like to do let's see if we can find a different one here because what we like to do for our descriptions here yes, the bullet points are very good, but what we like to do is have everything in capital letters for the first words and then follow them correctly, which is why they chose to use square brackets here.
This is also another option, but what we do is, for example, we could say perfect gift for Valentine's Day, all in caps, right, it's all in caps and then the next sentences are in normal text, as you would see Normally, so it's not bad. I like how they are doing this, you can think about having different types of images and Amazon wants you to have your main photo as a white background for this so keep this in mind, you will want a white background for this if you are looking for ways to get photos of your products, there are a couple of ways to do it.
You may end up paying people. You can use five or you can use work. You can send these products to photographers or models and ask them to take some photos. with your products, I would suggest doing so because it helps with conversions when there are actually people holding your product or using your product. We see this especially with different types of fitness products. It works extremely well, as if you were selling sports shorts. You'll want to have more than just a white background image, you'll want to have some photos of people wearing your shorts in action so people can relate to it and we found that it sells quite a bit better that way, so let's see what else have here and what else we can use as an option.
Now I want to show you another cool thing that we can do that most people don't tell you when you scroll down and look at this thing that they buy together frequently. tab, this can be a secret sauce okay, because what we can do is look at the items that are purchased together and we can actually end up creating a separate list that has both grouped together, which can save people a lot of money . Well, what if we end up selling a product that has both gnomes on it and whatever it is, it looks like a happy Valentine's Day wooden heart wall decor?
And what if we end up making our own product and actually packaging both? of these together they sell them as one item where they get these gnomes and also this wooden happy valentines day and this love thing because people want to do it as an all in one, they buy some decorations for valentines day as well that all three buy. of these, so we could bundle them together and make them one product and see the people who buy all three and pay forty-two dollars, we can end up selling this for less, maybe thirty dollars as a package, so that's kind of cool. which a lot of people don't tell you, we've had a lot of success with something like that, but then we can scroll down and we can dig a little deeper into this part of the question, very important if there are people asking questions.
You want to be quick with your response time, this helps a lot of other people, not just the people asking the questions, but also potential buyers in the future, and also, the most important thing by far will be the reviews you I do not do. I don't know about you, but this is the only thing I watch all the time. I want to see the reviews if they are good or bad. Personally, I rarely buy anything less than four or three and a half stars. won't buy it, so you want to make sure you sell good quality products and get reviews from your customers.
Now you can't just go out and ask your customers and say "hi", if you like the product, make sure you review it if you don't like the product don't review it, you can't say that, so what you want to do is say: "hey don't forget to check the product" and you can do this by putting like a little piece of paper on each of the products you're shipping, you can ask your manufacturer to do this for you if you want when they package them up and just say you know Here is the contact information if you have a problem with the product you know, please feel free to leave a review if you wish.
That's something that we've seen helps get a lot of reviews, but let's actually talk about how to get into the market, basically how to start selling correctly. Because many people find problems with this, they find it very difficult to start selling the product because it is difficult to leverage it correctly, for example, how do they get to the first place on Amazon when someone searches for something? It's really difficult to get it. spot, so there are basically two strategies that we use to get our product to the top and start selling products right away, even if we don't have many reviews for people to base their decisions on.
Now the two strategies are as follows: The first one will probably be, I would say, the easiest, but it will cost you some money and that is basically ppc, which is pay per click, that will get you to the top, so let's say, for example, that someone is looking to cut. boards and it turns out that you are selling cutting boards, so if someone is looking for cutting boards, what is going to happen here? Well, at Amazon, they like to make money, so these ones at the top here are all sponsored. These are all sponsored listings for cutting boards. so you could sponsor your post, this will cost you money, you may lose money on this but in turn you may end up getting decent reviews so it is an option, it's not the best but it's something you know maybe if you have some money. to spend, you have some money to invest in this, you might consider sponsoring your post and getting it to the top just so you can start getting some reviews, maybe once you get five, six, seven reviews you feel like it's not necessary that you really have them.
I won't be sponsoring it anymore because it will already do well on its own, but that's a strategy to start getting some reviews and start getting some sales, but keep in mind that if you're sponsoring it, it's costing you money that you're probably not going to get back. pay. earn almost the same and in some cases you could end up losing money, which is not the overall long-term goal. Now the other option that you can do is to basically undervalue everyone else that is selling the products so that you can end up positioning yourself. higher up on the list and then eventually raising prices once you get those reviews, once you get that kind of credibility, this is a tactic that I've used for many years and it works pretty well.
The problem with undercutting your competition is that you could end up forcing your competition to lower their prices too because let's say everyone here selling surfboardscut by 20, right? We're seeing a lot of cutting boards for $25.19 right, we're seeing a lot of cutting boards for those price ranges, let's say you walk in here and start selling cutting boards for $12, what's going to happen? You could sell a ton of cutting boards, your profit margins could be pretty bad. They're probably bad, you might only make a dollar or two, but now your competition is going to look at us and say, well, wait a minute, we're losing a lot of money here because we could have gotten a lot more sales, so they start lowering prices. also to compete with you and then everyone will end up losing because you lowered the prices, so you have to be careful with that, really the strategy here is low price for the first, maybe a dozen sales, the first two dozen. sales, they write some reviews, you get some sales and then you can raise the price, that's a tactic I've always used, but be careful how long you leave that low price there, I mean, we've brought items to market, where?
We lost money on the first hundred items we sold. We ended up losing money on purpose so we could position ourselves in a good place on Amazon. It's a bit of a risky move, but it's something that works if you all know what you're doing, so I'd love to dive deeper into this if you'd like to see an even longer

tutorial
