Well, I think obviously our thing is called group therapy and it's really been such a challenging time that we're going through, at least for me. I found myself and we are still within these coveted cruises, from what mistakes or what did you learn from this personally from the Kovid pandemic from the pandemic.

To be honest, I gained a great appreciation for not doing anything I thought I would never do. I was absolutely, I mean, I'm looking forward to maybe one day maybe retiring one day and I'm absolutely terrified of it because I think in some ways maybe you feel like a big part of yourself is involved. in what you do in this job, so just stopping and spending time cooking and around the house and then I started doing these kind of deep DJ sets from my kitchen table that had nothing to do with beyond and actually It really felt good, it gave me a real perspective of what he does beyond and really only in the last few months have we been able to do it again with this US tour and today, obviously.

To be honest, when we agreed to do this, I imagine it would be just us without an audience, yeah, it was one of those, you know, so it's actually wonderful to get back to the day job, so to speak, with a real person. sense of perspective on what exactly it is that we do and I think getting into that deep thing over the 18 months that I was doing it and meeting people in that scene, many of whom are from Colombia and are here today, gave me a real different perspective. about what beyond an Anjuna beach and engineering means to the world, so it's been a really lovely experience for me, it's been terrible.

James, who runs in June and in depth with Jody, has done an incredible job of building a truly world-class team that is really supported beyond and everything, and I think at the moment, especially with what's been going on in recent years, um. We've seen that our role is almost like spiritually leading where things are going and then if we can create something that's also like leading where labels are going and inspiring other artists and in that way I think that's really our role. it's being like that, you know, showing where to go, but you know we have 50 people working in the UK now, yeah, in our office, so you know they take care of a lot of things for us.

I imagine 50 people. It's a lot and the crazy thing about your labels is how committed the people are, how similar the school and family are and how passionate your community is, how do you think you got there and how do you think a new label can do like what is it? the recipe for a new good lab seal in 2021. I think it's a combination for us. We have ended up with a stamp that is unique and incredibly valuable. A good friend of mine is or until recently was the president of Warner Music Latin. America and he used to work at Warner's with him, I chatted a lot about what record companies can do now and his opinion is not very good, artists usually do most of their online marketing themselves, so a record company It's like a bank and I think that's not the case for us, we have, I don't know, let's say two million, let's say three million passionate fans around the world who are very lucky for us because it's taken us a while to get to that really interested in everything we do.

We introduce the labels and the artists we introduce to them and it's an incredibly privileged position we're in, but it also makes me think that for us the label is an incredibly powerful tool because the Warners don't have a loyal representative. fan base that we have, we end up with this incredibly valuable resource, uh, which is all of these, you know the people who come to our shows and are so passionate about uh angina beats and gina deep, and you know, forgive us for changing direction. here and there, I loved the acoustic tour, I love the yoga albums um that we've done, they're very accepting of us having fun being out there and that's incredibly valuable too, right?
