Hamilton, who was 37 years old at the time, was an obstetrician and gynecologist when he met Susan, who was 39 years old at the time, in 1985. They met at a friend's birthday party. He said that he would constantly tell his coworkers or friends things like: I wish someone would look at me the way John looks at Susan because they seemed so happy and they were in love and this is like a constant theme throughout, like everyone happily reports, they seemed to be the case before someone is murdered two years after their first date, they got married at a local Country Club, the doctor and his wife built a very envious lifestyle, so they had a big mansion, they had nice cars, they lived in an upscale neighborhood, but the Hamiltons had enemies besides delivering babies, John also performed abortions at another clinic and Susan ran that abortion clinic twice a week the doctor had been attacked by a couple of anti-abortion groups then came On Valentine's Day 2001 John came home between surgeries that morning to pick up his planner he had left at home and was horrified to find his wife lying on the bathroom floor in a pool of blood.

John started performing CPR on his wife and then called 911 9-1-1, call, you hear him crying, he screams over and over, send the police, send an ambulance I think. my wife is dead and then she tells the 911 operator that she is trying to perform CPR when the paramedics arrived it was a disgusting scene Susan was lying in a pool of blood oh I forgot a disclaimer okay disclaimer , this

true

story of murder and

crime

contains some pretty graphic descriptions of what happened to poor Susan. Forgive me for being a bit graphic. Then Susan lay in a pool of blood.
They had strangled her with two ties. Her head had been smashed so hard that parts of her brain were exposed. It was tragic that for the next few hours investigators tried to understand what happened. It was an intruder. It was a robbery. Was it the anti-abortion group that targeted the doctor and his wife? They were leaning more towards that one because it was only a week before. was murdered, he had been faxed a wanted poster that said Dead or Alive with John's face on it and he was from the anti group above, they also received a lot of threatening phone calls from the group or just from members of the group that someone had tried setting fire to the abortion clinic just two days before the murder, so the investigators obviously felt it was okay, let's look at this situation and there has to be something with it, I mean, all the signs really point to these being murders domestic and routine, the detectives.
He would check out the spouse, of course, so John was considered a suspect and had a very solid alibi. John had gotten up at dawn for a 7 a.m. surgery. m. at another outpatient clinic, then the doctor decided to go home because he had a little bit of time then he had to be at another hospital to perform another surgery at 9:30 he didn't leave the first outpatient clinic until about 8:00 in the first place and then he said he stopped and talked to a friend until about 8:30 he went home and then he was going to go straight to his other surgery.
At 9:00 it was reported that he was only home for a few minutes because then his pager rang and it was the hospital that called him to come to Now, for his next surgery, at 9:30 he was already back in the office washing for his neck surgery and then doctors and coworkers would report that nothing seemed wrong with John, just another normal day like he was fine at 10:45 John. He was on his way home and that's when he discovered Susan in a pool of blood. The timeline was very tight, so to the extent that he could commit murder, clean up, and get back to work, it doesn't seem impossible, but it does seem very difficult, so he wasn't there. ruled out as a suspect, but he was definitely not the one they were primarily leaning towards.
Investigators found a Valentine's Day card from Susan in John's stuffed coat and thought it was really suspicious, it was just a strange card that Susan wrote on the card. I bought my car two weeks ago, so I guess maybe may not seem so appropriate now, but I love you, have a good day Susan, so it seems like maybe their relationship wasn't as perfect as everyone thought Susan's was. friend and neighbor her name is also Susan try not to get confused she said she spoke to Susan a week before her murder Susan the wife had expressed that she thought maybe John was being unfaithful she noticed that John was receiving a lot of cell phone calls but he wouldn't answer them, he would like to see it and ignore it and when Susan continued to press John about it, he finally said that he's just a patient who was having a hard time with his luck and he was just trying to help.
However, Susan discovered that she was not a patient, but that she was a stripper and a nightclub that she was trying to investigate, how did she find out that she was a stripper? And I do not know. Susan then checked John's cell phone records and realized it. They had been talking a lot and there were over 100 calls to this stripper and him too, so Susan decides to confront John about it and of course John had his reasons, he said that she was a patient and she was having serious problems and she was even thinking about committing suicide he was just trying to help her and if he crossed any lines he was very sorry but he didn't have an affair with her there is really no proof if he had an affair or there weren't many phone calls but that was it what was actually reported: they had interviewed the stripper and she even said there was no affair, so who knows, Susan the neighbor tried to convince Susan the wife to let it go, that John is like .
I'm obsessed with her and she's paranoid about nothing and just doesn't care about it. Terrible advice. I've been blending my eyeshadow for so long because I'm a bit stuck. I don't know what you wanted. eyes, so the investigators decided to dig a little deeper like they do with John because now they have this insider tip about that it was okay, the marriage wasn't what it seemed to be and they thought his behavior was strange, as seen when John called to 911. The operator said he was giving CPR to Susan, but when the first responder arrived on the scene, who was a firefighter, he said, "John, I'm sorry for laughing, this isn't funny," and he walked over and walked over to where John was. . performing CPR John had one hand on his chest and one hand on his stomach and was pressing up and down trying to give him CPR that way, maybe you don't know how to do CPR and that's okay, but I think for the most part It's like a Many of us know that's not how CPR is done, but maybe also I guess the lifeguard told the investigators that yeah, John was trying to pump his stomach and chest, I guess, and he said he was giving CPR, if he was supposed to.
He would be giving him CPR, he would be giving him mouth to mouth. The scene was bloody right there. It was horrible. There was blood everywhere and Susan's face was completely swollen and bruised. If she was giving him word of mouth, she would get some kind. of blood on his face and there was nothing on his face you suspect that the investigators put John in the back of their car because they were going to take him out for questioning and John was still acting quite strange, he was scraping his knuckles on the screen mesh that was in the back of the car and he was hitting his face on the screen and he also hurt himself essentially, you know, in the back of a police car, they have that screen, he was rubbing his fingers, breaking face against her, they ended up taking him to the station where he could be interrogated, they took his clothes as evidence, they placed him in the interview room when they observed John on the surveillance cameras, they noticed that they were checking his shoulder and they liked to check his body to see where he got hurt and That's when they thought oh maybe that's why he was scraping his fingers on the patrol mesh because he was trying to cover up any kind of inch he might have gotten earlier and when they looked at his body they did notice that he had scratches on his shoulder, so he was either trying to hide something or just acting differently, although John had a pretty solid alibi.
He had a very busy morning performing surgeries, not just one surgery, he performed two surgeries that day, but the detectives took a closer look at him. In that span of time that he had and they saw a hole, detectives learned that the second surgery was actually scheduled for 9:00 a.m. m. in the morning, but it didn't actually start until 9:40 and was delayed because John was late. I had a client under anesthesia and they realized that John wasn't here yet and that's when they called him saying where are you two investigators, which jala opened the window of opportunity for the doctors an hour so late that on Valentine's Day they arrested to John Hamilton for the murder of his wife, today I am moving at a very slow pace, you see, I am going through a very difficult time.
John was immediately jailed and was also denied any bail. The case now fell into the hands of West Lane, the district attorney trying Dr. John Hamilton for murder, the prosecutor was well aware of the obstacles, there was no murder weapon and there was a gross lack of motive. They tried to find some kind of motive. They dug into John's history to try to find anything resembling anger issues from past abuse. previous arrests anything that showed he could do this they asked their friends and neighbors if they ever saw John get angry just lose his temper go crazy come on give us something about all the people they interviewed they all said the same thing they just didn't believe that John was able to do this, they were so in love that they had never seen him angry, they had never seen him do anything and as far as everyone knew, the marriage was perfect besides Susan, the neighbor, she was the only one to report that maybe something was going on in the marriage, but other than that, they had nothing against this guy John, naturally you would think he's fine, he'll go off with the stripper and live a happy life, even the stripper was like that.
No, nothing happened to us, so there's nothing, prosecutors, we're going to have a hard time proving that he did it in December 2001, ten months after killing his wife Susan, Dr. John Hamilton was on trial for her murder, So the story prosecutors follow is that on Valentine's Day, John received that card from Susan and lit a fuse for the violence that followed. On that card, Susan wrote something suspicious about When he returned mid-morning after her first surgery, he tried to patch things up with his wife and she didn't believe it. She said no, she didn't believe it.
John, he knew she was considering a divorce and then something happened in the bathroom and that really. She caused him to just shoot himself, he grabbed the restraints, then he surprised her and in his anger, when he strangled her and he just shot himself and now the doctor, according to the prosecution's version, had to cover himself by going to his next surgery as if nothing had happened. past. Anyone in his right mind would probably give him a hard time, so John would have to leave the house at 9:20 to get to the doctor's office at 9:30 because that's when he was seen washing his hands in the doctor's office. sink.
Turns out he had plans for that day too. He had a meeting at 9:30, so he had to leave the house at 9:20. His friend was nearby. There were ten minutes left when Susan discovered that she wasnaked and with hair combed. still wet, which means she was getting ready to go to this meeting, so if John didn't, you'd have to believe that whoever arrived once John left or had been waiting inside the whole time. Also in the crime scene photos, the prosecutor pointed out something that was strange that it was a wet rag that was left in the pool of blood, it looked as if someone had started or tried to clean it up, but then gave up on it. half and simply abandoned the attempt to clean it as if they had to go somewhere so nice.
The only thing they could prevent was blood spatter, so they hired a blood spatter expert, so Ross Gardener carefully examined everything the doctor had been wearing that day and a lot of blood on his clothes matched the story. It looked like he was trying to give him CPR and the blood that was on him seemed to come from that examiner also said that his shoes were suspicious, the left shoe in particular, the shoes were found next to Susan's body John said they were removed when trying to revive Susan, the expert could tell that the inside and front of the shoe was moving as blood splashed and radiated outward, but the most damning evidence of all was that inside John's car was hair and skin with blood or pieces of his flesh on the drive wheel of his car door.
Also in his car seat, investigators determined it was probably because when he packed his things to go to work, he also brought the murder weapon and was going to leave it somewhere before returning for his second surgery, so naturally ,John. He had a reason why that was the reason the blood and everything was on his car. He said that when he was performing CPR on his wife, he called Naima and was humming to them quickly and then he realized that his car was blocking the driveway. to the house so he stopped doing CPR apparently he went out and got in his car and was going to move it so the EMT could pull into his driveway and that's why all the blood and stuff was in his car but one question no answer was how the hell John got there.
He left the house to the car without leaving a trail of blood. Officers said there were bloody footprints inside the house, but outside they led to a car or anything. There is nothing. The investigator testified that he thought the killer first took a shower and then ran the water. to get all the blood and everything out of the shower in the murderer he poured cleaning solution down the drain to remove all signs of blood he put on clean clothes and hid the bloody clothes in a bag he took them out of the house he turned on the heating in the house to evaporate the water that was in the shower so that no one would know that they took a shower.
There is a lack of physical evidence at the crime scene to let them know that someone had a permit and that was just speculation. The shower and all that is just the story they came up with, John's team knew this didn't look good for them, okay, the blood spatter expert is saying that John's shoes are essentially giving him away, so So John's team decided to hire one of the most respected blood spatter experts out there. that it was Tom Bevel, so John's team brings him in hoping to prove John's innocence. Let's hire the best of the best because John doesn't want to go to jail.
The blood expert was the last witness to take the stand and everything he said really ended. He helped John, so he was saying that the blood stains on the shirt appear to have come from trying to give CPR to his wife without a murder weapon. It's hard to tell if any of the blood spatter came from the murder weapon most of the time. The blood on it was from what he said he was trying to do, so it looked good to John. John said: Yeah, that's why I hired this guy and then the prosecutor came. Okay, let me tell you.
In cross-examination, the prosecutor asked a blood examiner. he said, is there anything else you want to mention to us that may have been overlooked? So would you like to share anything you found now that the blood expert was on John's payroll? So naturally he says, dude, sorry, dude, that's reset in my mind, Tom. answered yes, there is something that was overlooked or overlooked. Tom said that in the exam there was blood that was not talked about or mentioned and that it was inside the right cuff of his shirt, the blood splatter that was there. on his sleeve was consistent with John Hamilton hitting his wife with some kind of weapon and was causing blood and splatter to go up his shirt, so the expert hired by John who was supposed to help him had just proven that it was guilty, so John's lawyer quickly tried to defuse the bomb that had just exploded. and he suggested that the splashes might have come from trying to perform CPR and all that, but his argument wasn't enough and the jurors spent two hours reaching their verdict.
Two weeks later, John was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. He attempted to hire a new lawyer to appeal the verdict, his appeals went all the way to the Supreme Court, but ultimately failed today. John Hamilton is in a maximum security prison. I'm sorry today. John Hamilton is in a maximum security prison and he like he is right now. he's in it for life look let's talk about it like the murder last week where he was like she did it or she didn't. I feel that way about this case because one, what was the motive behind it?
He just broke one. The day all the friends they interviewed, no one had anything bad to say about jhamak, nothing except the neighbor Susan who mentioned that she possibly had an affair, but the stripper and John no one confessed to having had an affair, there was actually no more evidence of that I was having. an affair there was no conversation so maybe she was planning another life there was just nothing the guy is already rich so he didn't want to kill her for money I don't know everything is like hmm maybe maybe No, I was reading other people's contributions online about the case and they said: well, maybe it was a stripper who killed her, maybe he wanted to get rid of her so he could be the new wife.
I just feel like there would be some kind of like evidence leading back to his confusing right. I guess the moral of the story here is that even if your partner is 100% Goldin squeaky clean, he could still murder your ass. I mean, there are no red flags with this guy. I'm so confused about what. Am I supposed to pay attention? Let me know what you think below, rest in peace Susan Hamilton and I'm sorry no one really knows what happened and that must be very frustrating. Hopefully she is in a new and better place. I'm not very good at this stuff, that's why I could never speak at a funeral, I would say yes, so I hope they're good.
I hope you have a good day today, make decisions, stay safe and I See you later guys, bye
