I start walking back to the cabin when I arrive. About 30 yards from the cabin I look back over my shoulder and the whole damn wolf pack is running across the lake straight at me.

I had never seen anything like it. I ran like Jesse Owens through that cabin door. He was only thirty years old. There are 20 wolves there. I got four or five shots off if I had one in the chamber, I had five rounds of ammo in there, I ran up to the cabin, walked in the door and like the time before they were there in my front yard, I looked out 50 yards away distance, everyone was circling around 20 wolves. I'm like Jesus Christ, this is amazing. I've never seen anything like it, but I'm safe and sound in the cabin, so I gather my thoughts. I run away when they see me right now. I mean, I could be out there at night in the dark without even knowing that there are wolves out there being ambushed by Merson, so I had to do it.
