I'm taking an 8x10 canvas from Dollar Tree and I'm going to paint it with some black chalk paint. I got my Black Chalk Paint in bulk on Amazon last year and I'll link it below, but Dollar Tree now sells black chalk paint too, so you can use one from Dollar Tree. Set this aside to dry now and I'll take three

dollar

tree

acrylic paints and shake them up being careful not to combine them completely, you want to keep your individual colors visible so you can do this in whatever colors you want that match your

decor

. I'm going to pick some really neutral colors and use those. a brown, a peachy beige color and white, and just shake them all together and get some really beautiful soft neutral earthy tones here and now I'm going to take a small brush and then I'm going to make a diagonal curved stroke upwards across the canvas, here this It's going to be like a flower stem and then I'm going to take a flower petal, obviously you could use a real petal.

I didn't have any real flower petals, so I just cut out one of my dollar tree floral bouquets and I'm just going to dip that into the paint carefully and then gently press it on each side of the stem to create the flower petals here and this way each petal has all the colors I've mixed here and it just has a lot of beautiful variety in color, so pretty, I just used a single faux floral petal from a dollar tree flower bouquet to make this. You can make as many flower petals as you want here. I made a few on each side and then once it's dry, I'm going to hot glue this piece of canvas to the center of an 11 by 14 canvas and now this is totally optional but I love how it looks added to a store photo frame 11 for 14 dollars.

I love this idea and I love how This turned out the next one also uses two canvases, but it takes less work to do. All I'm doing for this one is cutting a piece of fabric from one of these Dollar Tree rugs and cutting it to fit about an 8 by 10 canvas again from the dollar tree. I made sure to cut the fabric a little larger on all sides so that I had enough left to fold it over the edge and hot glue it behind the canvas just to hold it all up. well in place now you, honestly, you couldn't even buy something from Dollar Tree, you could just use a piece of scrap clothing, extra clothing, a rag, a towel, you know, you can use whatever materials you already have lying around, They can cut a piece. of fabric you know, whatever you want to use doesn't have to be the dollar tree rug, so I hope that gives you some ideas, have fun, be creative and let me know if you recreate this, what do you use for this fabric? in between I would love to know what kind of things you guys use or what kind of patterns and colors you make it I love to see a photo of that you can always tag me on Instagram and on stylemysweets and I would love to see if you guys recreate any of these anyway , I hot glued this fabric panel now in the center of another 11 by 14 canvas and once again I will choose to frame this one, but it is not necessary, I will skip the glass part and just use the frame to now frame my canvas art. 3D layered canvas wall here.

I think this just made a beautiful piece of modern bohemian modern farmhouse decor. I really love how this one turned out. I'm taking four of these dollar signs. tree now, these are from the fall, but they usually carry them for all seasons of the year, so four of these to put them together I turn them on their long side and add a little bit of gel glue in the center there and then a little bit of hot glue on each end of that and then I just pressed two of them together and kept doing this all the way connecting the longer side to each other and I have four of these across and this is going to be like a little bit of a tray, I think it looks like a tray of wood when it's done, so once I'm done putting them up, I just go ahead and paint this whole thing with some white chalk paint.
I had to give it a couple of coats here just to make sure I covered all the letters, you'll probably need two or three coats, but you can do it in whatever colors you want and you can also go back and add a little bit of antique wax or a little bit of a darker color to give it a little more. If you prefer, it has a more aged look. I decided to use mine as is and paint it with white chalk paint. Go ahead and let it dry and then for the handles, I thought it turned out really fun and creative.
In fact, I took one. From these little wooden snake toys they have at Dollar Tree now they cut off the head and the tail part and then you just cut that piece in half down the center and it's enough to fold and make two handles now you can attach them at the ends if you want on the outside I decided to put them on each end, but sitting on top of my tray and I just attached them with a little hot glue, obviously you can use

super

glue or whatever you want for this and even If you want to paint them, but I love the shape in which you can see the painted white wood and this natural wood for the handles.
I think it turned out really nice like this and it definitely looks like something you could find in a high end store, so I'm very happy with this for about five dollars. Okay, the next one is definitely something a little more unique, maybe a little weird. I don't know, you'll have to let me know if you like it or not and you can totally mix it up. This is based on what colors you want to use to fit your own decor, so I'm grabbing one of these 11 by 14 canvases from Dollar Tree and all I did was cut a section off a piece of this which is like the rubber things that you put under a rug like a rug now Dollar Tree actually sells this, that's where I bought this piece for a dollar, but if you have some left over from when you put down a rug, you can cut a piece of that off.
I'm just going to use a little bit of hot glue on each corner and place this on top of my canvas here and then I covered everything with my metallic copper chalk paint. I thought that kind of rust color would look good here and I'm going to go ahead and add a black dollar tree frame and go ahead and frame this canvas when I'm done. I feel like there are a lot of options and in fact, for me, I wish I had done this now. in light pink so I may go back and change this concept in the future and redo this piece because I'm not sure how well the copper will match my decor but I wanted to see how it looked and I think it turned out pretty good and goes well with the following DIY.
This was actually inspired by something I saw in anthropology and was one I tried to recreate last year. This face appears to have a leather exterior and I wanted to see what I could come up with for that, so I did something very unique and random for the last video, but this way it's a lot easier and I think it looks even more realistic. Now I'm going to repurpose this vase into a dollar tree shape. Obviously mine has a little paint on the bottom now, so ignore that we're going to cover it, but I cut the piece off of this car mat.
You can get these car mats for a dollar at the dollar store and we're going to take them. the one that looks more leather, not the part with the diagonal pattern, just the part that looks like leather, I cut it out and trimmed it to fit my vase. I used some hot glue and covered the vase with this and just trimmed it to fit perfectly, it has a little seam on the back obviously where we joined the two pieces of leather together but it's really no big deal and you'll see when everything is done as if no one really sees it.
This when it was finished and I think it turned out very, very pretty, so I wanted to make kind of a base for it again and I came up with something really

super

easy

and quick and I just had some of these brown, um, like the ones that fall. jenga tower blocks and thought I would connect them together with some wood glue. You could do this with hot glue. It will work. You could also do this with super glue, but it feels like wood glue to me. They know it's painful. because it takes a little longer to dry, but when all is said and done, it lasts much longer and just holds up better, so since I have wood glue, why not?
That's what I'm going to use, but I know that super glue. and hot glue you know you could make it work with that too so I made like a little square like a little plus sign here and then I placed them on one end perpendicular on each end another piece sticking out so in total I only used eight of these little blocks to create a little stand here and I put my face in the center and that's how this one turned out so I grabbed one of these candle holders since I actually have tons of these wooden jenga blocks lying around I thought.
I would connect four of those together as a small square. You can connect three pieces, but the last one you will have to put in while it is around the base of the candlestick so that it is obviously around the stem. of this chandelier, hot glue is going to be your best friend here just because it's going to give you that quick hold because the wood glue is going to be there for a long time so you can keep it in place without it. falling, you know, falling apart, I have these here and I made one, I made two, I thought three would finish it, but honestly I came back with a fourth and then I was happy with how it looked and all I really did was just connect. one inside another and around the stem of the candelabra.
I like how this looks. I already spray painted my chandelier black. I added a small type of amber colored glass to the top. The dollar tree here has a lot of votive tea. lamp holders that are very pretty and you can use on top of this, so just created this, it almost reminds me of the mental puzzle game. I feel like it's one of those games where you have to figure it out by taking these cubes apart. It just reminds me of those brain puzzles. I decided to go ahead and make the outer edges of these squares and I really like how it looks.
I think those extra black details look really good now that I went one step further and decided to do the interior as well and that's where things got a little tricky because it was difficult to do because they touch in some places and that meant that a little of black paint went a little to the edge, I just couldn't. get a perfect line so I had to end up painting all of this black but first I wanted to show you what it looked like so if you didn't want to paint them and you like natural wood or if you just wanted to do it. the outside edges there's a little tip if you like that look maybe painting them first will be a lot easier once they're all glued up anyway for me I decided you know what I'm going to go ahead and paint these black so there's no weird little edges or anything, I just painted everything black and that's how this one turned out.
I took a simple glass base from Dollar Tree and glued it to the bottom of this martini glass from Dollar Tree and then covered it with nautical rope. I feel like your margarita glass would work too, so I ended up playing with these wooden popsicle sticks I had around the house and what I ended up doing was staggering the heights by alternating shorter and taller pieces of wood. just for a little bit of creativity, I went all the way around and this actually makes the base look like I don't know if it's higher or longer, like it goes down lower than it really is, so I applied some paint from white chalk with a dry brush to give it a slightly aged or worn look, you can do this with a darker paint if you want, but I definitely think that lighter colored paint will give you a more beachy and coastal look and if you want to use a darker brown paint, might give you a little more of an old farmhouse style, I don't know what you guys think, there are so many options when you are creating well, that's the best part, just using what you have, being creative and having fun with it, They could totally use this as a vase, but I honestly love how it looks as a candle holder.
I'm spray painting two dollar tree vases. The white dollar tree has a white acrylic paint, but you'll probably be much happier with spray paint for this. and then once it's dry you can use a black Sharpie permanent marker to do this, although my recommendation would be one of these black Sharpie oil markers which will do a much better job and are still pretty affordable. I will have the link for the ones I used below in the info box I used a seven and a half inch base for one and a nine inch vase for the other and then I simply copied the patterns for these two vases from the pier bases one on this one don't even bother measuring linesperfect because the one on pier one has naturally wavy lines that are not perfect but of course you can measure them perfectly if you want them to be perfectly knee and symmetrical for this one now just make sure your lines go well. up on one side and down on the other, like arrows pointing up and down, alternating them like this for the next, I'm using another tall glass vase and two packages of these colorful puffy stickers from Dollar Tree.
I think you will really love them. I need three bundles to alternate them in the same style as the base of pier one, although since I only had two bundles I left them closer together at the bottom and then kept the same pattern but spaced them out more and more as I got closer to the upper part. So the vase had kind of a spreading effect where the little dots spread out and then I have this old gold krylon spray paint that I don't know what happened but it's more like a dull bronze, I thought this was going to be a metallic gold , so I will use it again.
I bought a new Rust-oleum metallic gold paint and now I only needed a little bit to cover my face and it looks much better now. I think the next one is super cute. Again, the real version of Pier One was huge and expensive, but I think it turned out so adorable that I love it. I'm taking a pack of wooden blocks from the spinning tower game and using a little glue to join five in a row end to end to make four sets like that for the corners and then four large popsicle sticks with the ends cut off.
I lined them up perpendicularly like a plus sign and glued them on top of four more wooden blocks to make the corner legs for the base. On this stand I also used a little glue between them in the center just to keep everything in place. its place. I am using a gorilla wood glue which I will also link below. You can do this with hot glue, but you'll definitely want to make it clear that you don't want to add too much bulk in the middle or it won't look really good and since we're going to stain this with a wood stain, the stain won't cover the hot glue and spray paint. , once it's all dry, you can stain or paint it however you want.
I also made a smaller one by just making four blocks tall instead of five, of course it was very windy and you don't know that the wind knocked one over and broke it while I was painting the other one so try to be careful especially if the glue doesn't It's one hundred percent. You can add a shower curtain ring as a handle to the top I'm using. hot glue for this and I'm going to paint mine but you can do it however you like for yours and then a cute little glass candle holder or larger pillar candle on the inside would be really cute since it's not as tall although I I would.
I recommend sticking with battery operated LED candles just for this DIY when I use an upside down ashtray and stick an upside down candle holder on top of that and then stick one of these flared bases on top and add my candle inside I think. This chandelier for three dollars turned out super cute. I'm using hot glue to hold it all together, but feel free to use something like e6000 or something stronger for glass if you're worried the hot glue won't hold. I love the look. but I think the spring one version had rhinestones, so if you want to wrap the center part of the ball on the holder with a rhinestone ribbon, you can do it either way, let me know in the comments which way you like best with or without rhinestones.
I was going through my craft supply stash and started by grabbing this little decorative wall sign from Dollar Tree and I'm also grabbing four wooden dowels. I got a whole package of these in the craft section of Dollar Tree and hot glued them on the corners. up and once the glue was dry I added another dot of hot glue on top of each bar and placed this clear plastic dollar tree plate upside down on top of the bars with the bars facing the corners of the plate. I dried for another minute and then very carefully turned everything over and added more hot glue to each corner of the clear plastic plate to give the sticks a good hold, especially since we're going to make this the top. and we will paint over it. all so that this bottom part is not visible anyway.
I also grabbed a small wooden dowel again from a package I bought at Dollar Tree and I'm just going to cut two small pieces about an inch long and then sand the ends to smooth them out a little and then I just arranged them to make a handle and used a little hot glue to hold everything together and now you can paint this all one color, spray paint it, chalk paint it however you want, I decided to spray paint the areas I wanted to make gold with gold spray paint first and then come back with paint of black chalk and a foam brush and carefully painted all the areas black now I wanted to finish it off and make it black, this is how It turned out that I love black and gold, but I also think it would be really beautiful.
I just painted something totally neutral like all white for summer or even make it gray or brown. Now the next one is quick. I took this one apart. dollar tree frame I made in the fall and I'm covering the inside with this black and white floral dollar tree contact paper and then I was debating which stickers to use because the dollar tree has so many options and I wanted to put something inspiring here I ended up just spelling out the words crazy faith after a very inspiring teaching I heard about faith from the transformation church in Oklahoma, you can watch them right here on YouTube, so Mike and I do that sometimes at night anyway.
I think the black frame looks great, but I chose a gold one because I wanted it to coordinate with my new office and desk space. Life is better, it's a winding road, you don't know where it's going. Driving for days and nights, not stopping for traffic. lights, the next one is super cute. I grabbed two of these wooden box frame decorative pieces from Dollar Tree. They usually have them for each season, of course, these are the Valentine's ones, so I wanted to remove the heart to save it for a future DIY and Also, so that the wooden tray lays flat and sits on the counter or table, you will want to paint everything any color you want.
I used white chalk paint once it was all dry. I picked up two of these candle holders from Dollar Tree. at two different heights and I glued the tallest one upside down in the center of the first box tray and then I glued the next box on top of that and the smaller candlestick face down on this tray. Now I did all of this with hot glue, but If you want something a little sturdier, you might want to try something like e6000 or maybe go back and add a little super glue or something along the edges.
Also be careful and careful because it is not super strong. but it's super cute. I also used a little more glue to add a clear shower curtain ring to the top to make it look like a handle and even added a little more glue around the edges where we placed the candle holders on the painted surface. wood, but you can also do something with super glue or e6000, whichever you prefer. I think this would be perfect for jewelry, small perfume bottles, ribbons, hair clips, bows, any little things like that. It's less than five dollars and I'm thinking about adding it to my daughter's

room

for her little accessories, I think she would really love this for the next one.
I grabbed this canvas decor from Dollar Tree and was originally going to paint over it with maybe white or tan chalk paint. Actually, to be honest, I wanted to do a tan chalk paint, but I decided to do it with light pink chalk paint because I have little accessories like pink and gold that I wanted this to coordinate and match if that makes sense. I simply came in and added these Dollar Tree wall stickers to create a meaningful and inspiring message. I love decor that sends me positive reminders throughout the day. I went back and added this little strip of gold metal beads to the top and bottom.
It's actually just a sheet of stickers from Dollar Tree that you can cut to whatever length and width you want for your project. It's a really

easy

way to add a little accent. Next, I have the seven and a half inch glass faces. from Dollar Tree and I also found longer wooden sticks in their craft section, they are like longer wooden dowels, but if you can't find them you should be able to make it with their wooden skewer sticks, just cut the sticks to the height of the glass, I couldn't find my cutter so I was a little lazy and just used it like some heavy duty scissors to mark like a line on the wood all around and then just gently broke it in one direction and then pushed it back. the other way to break it and they actually broke very easily and neatly so if you're in a pinch this is what worked for me anyway I painted them all black I used spray paint but use whatever works for ti and then also I measured and cut three pieces of black dollar tree ribbon long enough to go around the base and also long enough to overlap a little and then I used hot glue to make one around the top edge, one around the bottom edge and then another one around the center I did that for all of them and then I used a little hot glue on the top and bottom ribbons to add the wooden sticks on opposite sides of each vase, standing vertically like this, you can make as many as you want and you can Place them however you want so they look connected.
I feel like these vases have a modern, almost industrial farmhouse look, but do you think they look better with flowers or candles? Let me know. You may have seen these plastic totes at Dollar Tree and I think they are the absolute cutest and I thought they would make a perfect summer beach bag for carrying items to the beach or even just laying out some magazines or books and around the house or as a It's a way to carry my planner and my laptop in the car if I'm going out and I have to edit and I need to catch up, and that helps me keep everything organized, so I covered the handles with a thread of cotton from Dollar Tree. but you can also easily take one of the dollar tree mop heads and take the pieces out of it and use it if you want a thicker, softer handle and now for my tassels I wrapped more cotton thread around my hand until I achieved the thickness I need.
I wanted and then tied the top and cut all the ends to create our bangs. Here I made two of these, but to add a more beachy look I also cut some extra twine and used some hot glue inside these little dollar shells. tree and glued them to the ends of the twine. You can also add some of the dollar tree pearls and gems hanging here. Something about this really reminds me of a fun keychain I had growing up that will be by your side forever. I can't get you out of my mind, I'll follow you and I really like the aesthetic of this and how everything turned out next.
I'm grabbing some of these extra large craft sticks from Walmart and cutting off the rounded edges. and I lined up two of them vertically and then I glued seven more sticks spaced horizontally so it looked almost like a little fence and now I'm taking some dollar tree stickers and spelling out some little inspirational words and messages and I. I'm going to alternate painting them a darker navy blue and a lighter sky blue, then we can remove the stickers to reveal the words that will now be written just on the natural wood here, so I think copper paint would be really pretty here too , I'm actually going to use it to make a little vase now by simply applying chalk paint with a sponge to this dollar tree glass face and once it was dry I went back and wrapped the bottom half with some jute or nautical rope holding it together with hot glue and then took a little more chalk paint to make a little alternating triangle pattern here.
I actually made this by hand. You can just watch and guess what feels right to you, I think. It has somewhat of a southwestern or tribal pattern and I think this would fit very well with modern bohemian and bohemian decor. I also made one of these little dollar tree tea light holders and painted it too, like I said, I love this metallic one. copper paint and I think it just adds a bit of texture enough to make the smooth shiny glass start to look more like a piece of terra cotta clay pottery or something and continuing with the triangle pattern from the last one I took my chalk marker and I followed the outline along the top of this triangle pattern on the candle holder and just filled it in.
You could obviously add a tea light here or a votive candle, an air plant or even just a small dollar tree succulent, it's all up to you, very easy. and affordable DIY below, my daughter Renee grabbed this empty tissue box and how the blue and white fit thetheme, she added little rhinestone gems also from Dollar Tree everywhere where the lines crossed to make a lovely little flower pot or tissue box cover. You have a small fern plant here, but you could easily add flowers or whatever you want to put in here. You would need to put some kind of glass vase inside to have water for real flowers, but either way this looks super cool, moving on to the next, it's super easy.
I grabbed some of this blue tile contact paper from Dollar Tree and cut a piece to cover my simple glass vase from Dollar Tree and I love how pretty, simple and easy it was to make. It looks like it is made of some type of ceramic or porcelain tile. I don't know, it looks really cool and I think it's very pretty and beautiful for summer, spring and summer, but of course you can wear it anytime. of the year and then I cut a second piece of this contact paper to glue inside this little 5x7 frame that I got at Dollar Tree and I was going to add a little wooden sailboat here, but I ended up deciding to add the little boat rudder instead .
They come in this package and I went with the ship

home

and then decided to focus on that here. I think this is also really cute for summer or anytime, especially if you like nautical or coastal beach type decor. Next up, I grabbed one of these plastic garden bowls from Dollar Tree and I'm also going to grab a martini glass that I'm spinning. That's instead of adding a generous amount of hot glue to the bottom of that glass and then placing the container of Garden plastic on top and this will serve as a nice little stand or tray.
I think it's perfect to use as a raised fruit. fruit bowl, obviously you could paint this any color you want. I think painting it would be really beautiful. I'll leave it as is and just add some of these little silver rhinestone stickers. They also sell them in a coppery gold color. I'm just going to add the stickers around the top edge. I think this looks so beautiful, a little glamorous, but you could paint it to be white, black, copper, whatever you prefer, to make it look more farmhouse, more modern, more bohemian, whatever your style is. and I wanted to style it with some of my little fake lemons.
These are also from Dollar Tree, but I could definitely go ahead and use them to store your real fruit on the counter while I thought about what I could do with this extra. Mason jar lid I had lying around and decided to paint it metallic gold, although you can leave it as is if you prefer. I'm going to stick this upside down on the bottom of a seven and a half inch dollar tree cylinder vase. and then I took two packages of smaller wooden dowels from Dollar Tree and painted them black once the paint was dry.
I stuck them on the vase alternating with one starting at the top pointing down, one at the bottom pointing up, and one at the top. at the top pointing down and another at the bottom pointing up. I continued this all the way around, leaving a little space between each one and continued doing this all the way around the vase. I think this made a very cute little modern boho style candle. By the way, I'll have my favorite flameless timer LED candles linked below as well as in my Amazon store, if you're curious, the next one is perfect for boho decor and also has that modern style, and this one is actually a Redo something I did a few months ago, make a little banner with this piece of fabric from the craft section at Dollar Tree.
Now I highly recommend washing and drying the fabric first. I didn't do that and honestly now I regret it so I hope that if you make your material not shrink. Mine shrank a little when the paint dried, but I was inspired by a piece of art I saw at Urban Outfitters for this one anyway and decided to try this piece with a black. and white shades of the gray version and I started with my black chalk paint to create a large circle at the top to be like our sun or moon and then I also made a band along the bottom because of the way it there is the fringe. here I cut it out of a dollar tree mat and hot glued it on.
I'll link to the original video here if you want to see the part where I glued that fringe on, but obviously you can make any fringe you want with cotton. twine or any other type of nautical rope, whatever you prefer, but Dollar Tree has some doilies and doilies and you can create some fringe like this one I just cut, so I mixed it up a bit anyway. of white chalk paint and this way I was able to create a very dark gray and then a little bit lighter gray and then an even lighter gray, almost a white band here as well and just went from darker to lighter.
I also made two halves. moons with the gray too and this is how it looks now with the silver arrow. I used it as a hanger for my Valentine's Day decor in February, when I made this original decor piece. I wanted to see what it looked like, but at the same time I thought maybe I wanted a different look and just something with natural wood. I think I'm going to just use a thread of cotton thread through this loop in the fabric that I already made when I folded the fabric and glued it. and now I'm going to use a wooden peg from Dollar Tree to give it a simpler modern bohemian look right now, but definitely comment and let me know if you prefer it with a wooden hanger or a silver arrow now on the Next one might be a vase or a candle holder or whatever you want, but I started by cleaning the surface of my dollar tree vase and then I cut a piece of this dollar tree shower mat and lined it up where I felt I had. the edge cleaner and I cut it off and then pressed it firmly around the vase, it has a little bit of stickiness to give it a little bit of stickiness and stick to the glass a little bit and then that way we can use a little bit of hot glue. under the edges right along the seam where the two ends meet.
I like the look of this so far, but I wanted to elevate it somehow and I also happen to have some of the wooden tower play blocks from Dollar Tree, so I lined them up as neatly as I could in a circle so they would fit underneath of the vase almost perfectly exactly how I wanted them and I just thought I would do this in a quick and lazy way instead of trying to glue between each block of wood which I could do if you want but I put my blocks in the position exactly where I wanted them and then added Carefully applying a decent amount of hot glue around the top, I very carefully replaced my vase, pressed it down and held it.
This stayed together and I think it worked very very well, it stayed together totally fine for me and it saved me a lot of time and it kept the little blocks of wood in place very well and I may already have this but I just bought this wax for antiques on Amazon and wow, I love it. I don't even know why it took me so long to get it and try it, but it's really nice for coloring the wood and still leaving a little bit of the green wood texture and a little bit of that natural wood look that's more like a stain than a paint, so I'll have this linked below if you're interested.
I really liked using it and I can't. wait to create future projects with this for the next one. I made this in a previous video, but today I'm changing it. I attached a plastic garden bowl to an upside down martini glass from Dollar Tree and actually what you might want to do is Take your garden bowl and add the rhinestone cling stickers along the rim and then continue and spray paint all over the top. I made mine in black so I just spray painted everything black and then once it's dry it could easily go. Go ahead and stick it on the martini glass.
I'm going to leave the martini glass clear for my base and add some of these leftover stickers I had on the bottom. The leaf print here seems very bohemian to me and I just think that the clear glass and the black also give it a very modern and nice touch so you get those modern bohemian vibes. I'm taking one of these plastic dollar tree baskets and spray painting it a hammered brown or hammered charcoal color and then once it's dry I pull 24 strands out of one of these dollar tree mop ends and now I take three sets of two strands and I braid them together and do the same with the other three sets as well and just with heat.
I glued the braid around under the edge and then also used some hot glue to connect the next braid to the previous one. I also had enough left over to make two handles and I just glued the pieces of rope together to create the handles and hopefully, You can see what I'm doing and this makes sense, but I think it turned out really well, although if you wanted to make twine or nautical rope , I think maybe doing it with nautical rope would add even more to the overall rustic farmhouse look. of this DIY basket comment and let me know if you vote for nautical rope or prefer cotton braids like the ones I used below.
I'm taking one of these vases from Dollar Tree and painting it with some white chalk paint. I feel thicker. The texture of the chalk paint makes it look a little more rustic and farmhouse than spray paint would have, which would have given a much more uniform and smooth finish, and this is actually a leftover portion that I cut off from a dollar tree basket. I'm going to hot glue a piece of this basket wood around the bottom edge of the vase and then I cut another piece of the basket and folded it to stick it on the vase like a little handle.
These little fashion gems. I'm using these to look like nail heads or something and to look like a metal fastener that attaches the handles to the base and I totally think this completed the look, definitely be careful with the handles because if you play with them too much. I did, you can see the little piece of wood on the basket you can make it break like mine did because I kept tightening it too much, so carefully bend it into place and then leave it alone and don't keep playing with it. It's just for decoration but anyway you get the idea and I think for a little over a dollar this little DIY vase is super cute and perfect for farmhouse decor.
I love how it turned out below. I'll be taking two of these lovely little ones. glass jars from Dollar Tree and I love the checkered design on the glass and the copper colored lids. Now for this one, I'm just going to glue on another piece of these woven wood strips from the Dollar Tree basket that I'm attaching. the lid and then I'm taking a wood bead glue that on top serves as a small decorative handle or ornament. Another option here is to grab one of these little copper glass writing markers from Dollar Tree and I'm just outlining that checkered design on the glass with This I think looks so cool, I really like how it turned out and I actually ended up removing the small wooden beads from the top and doing the same with them so that they also had that copper color, if you look where.
I removed it, the hot glue filled the hole and now I can remove the outer glue around it. I'm going to make this the top and now the hole is actually filled in so it looks more like a soft little knob for the top. I think it looks a lot better, let me know if you prefer the natural wood look or if you like the way it looks. go with the coppery rose gold color, but anyway this is how they turned out now that I added one of the wooden basket pieces and glued it around the top of a jar of pickles, I find them at my grocery store and the larger tea towels and pickle jars are a really good size for storage or it's a really cute rustic farmhouse style base, I think these are perfect. something I just like to keep and reuse recycle recycle into something really cute because the size is really pretty on these I think this looks really cute as simple as it is however I decided to take this jar a step further by sealing it off with tape adhesive about half the way I want.
To paint the bottom half white, I'm going to take my chalk paint here, I'm going to paint around the bottom half like this, I'm going to get a straight line using that painter's tape and then I took some sand from the dollar tree and I decided to be Get creative with this and see if I could make it look a little more like, maybe concrete or something. I got the idea to try this with sand after seeing a scratch mom DIY Emily did, she did something really cool using some mud and dirt in her garden and I loved that and anyway that gave her to your base a really cool effect and I just wanted to see if I could try a little bit of this mixed sand and just try to get it to look a little bit more, maybe like cement, natural color, sand, it could look really good.
I just had white sand and since it's also white chalk paint I think it will blend and stay nice and just give it a little more texture, I felt like it was missing something soI'm going to grab another piece of these wooden dollar tree baskets. I like that they have lighter brown and slightly darker brown tones, so depending on your project, I can use whatever color suits best and for contrast with the white here I wanted to use a darker brown wood color and I think that It looks pretty cool so I debated putting it on the bottom and finally decided to make this wooden band. along the center as a divider and now you can see that these two wood colors don't match and if you want something very earthy, natural and eclectic you might love it, however I felt like I only wanted the two wood strips and pieces of wood to match, so I decided I couldn't actually remove the one I had already placed there, so I decided to take another small piece of that basket in the same color to match the one I put in the middle. and stick it right on top of the other one around the top and then like this they match up, let me know would you do one on the bottom too?
Do you think it looks complete? How are you doing? What are your thoughts? I'm not sure. I think I like how it turned out and of course I love that it's just a recycled jar. I may end up moving it upstairs to put some makeup brushes in and I was just saving a glass jar of pickles from our recycling, so. that's always a win anyway, moving on to the next one, I took one of these frames from Dollar Tree and I cut a piece of this vinyl drawer liner to fit inside the frame and I took three of these sticker signs from Dollar Tree and I laid out an h and then an m and now an e for the letter o.
I'm actually going to cut two little pieces of greenery from a dollar tree floral bouquet and glue them together to create sort of a little circle and make a little letter o shape and then I just turn it around so it's framed inside the glass and this is how it turned out, this is such a sweet little frame and such a sweet little message, okay, and then for the next one I grabbed One of these dollar tree mirrors, this was a leftover one I had from that DIY mirror from the seven foot tall dollar tree I made last month.
I'll link it if you want to see it, but remove the mirror part anyway. so you can easily paint the frame however you want, I'm going to apply some white chalk paint on there, but you can make your own however you want and then I picked up two packages of these wooden rounds from Dollar Tree, believe it or not, I've seen people find them in dollars. tree for years, but this is the first time I've seen them so I was really excited and I grabbed some bags and I'm basically going to line them up now before I glue them together so I can find the ones that line up as evenly as possible, they're not all exactly the same, they're all They are pretty similar in length but some of them are thicker than others anyway, I hot glued them around the frame and I think this little DIY rustic farmhouse mirror is super cute, it would also work great for the decoration of a cabin in the countryside.
I might have to pass this one on to my parents for their log cabin because I think it would be perfect, so for the next one I was inspired by these beautiful apothecary jars from Pottery Barn which were a little pricey, so for today I decided to see what I could create with my Dollar Tree vases and jars. I used hot glue to attach this Dollar Tree tea light holder upside down, although the e6000 will definitely give you a much stronger hold if you prefer, but hey, sometimes I come back months later and just want to take things apart and do something else and reuse them and reuse them, and I'm removing the top of this glass jar by prying off the plastic seal part, I use a knife and just lift this up very carefully so that the lid fits perfectly on the base, the top of the vase and then I'll take this similar dollar style vase, it's a little bit different shaped, the opening is narrower for this one so I actually left the plastic rim right there and then this can sit perfectly over the opening of the vase and then a more little glass jar from the dollar tree here.
I just left this natural as is and this gave me the three different heights that are not. perfect, but it was a super cheap and super easy way to get some pretty glass jars for our bathroom essentials, like Q-tips and Epsom bath salts and even cotton balls, and then for this one I grabbed a simple jar dollar tree shaped bricklayer from my craft stash. I taped the top half and spray painted the bottom half black and then you can add a candle or some fresh flowers here and for this face I went ahead and added some faux pink peonies here I can link them below they actually are that I cut from a beautiful bouquet that is quite inexpensive and that you can get on Amazon.
I actually love this arrangement and actually have it in different colors. I know this was a very simple DIY, but I honestly thought it looked pretty similar to ceramics. barn one so I had to share it with you, it is very easy, very cheap and affordable to make for the next piece I will be making today. I have one of these little copper glass vases from Dollar Tree and I'm actually going to add some painters tape on the sides to create just a straight line in the center and that straight line in the center. I'm going to go ahead and paint with my vintage pink chalk paint, once that's dry I go back and do a second coat.
There too just to make sure it's completely covered and then once the second coat had dried I came back with this kind of copper colored paint and I just dipped my brush in it and then I just tapped my brush so I could smear it all over. this copper paint on top of the pink paint and then once it's dry I just go ahead and remove the painter's tape from the edges and obviously I wanted to do this for all four sides of this face, but I have a straight line down the center with my pink and copper and then this way you see a little bit of that coppery amber glass in the corners so I really like how this one turned out and I just designed a little Michaels fern and a dollar tree. roses here and that's how everything was on this one and obviously you can customize it with any paint color you have to match your own decor, taking three of these square wall decor signs from Dollar Tree, I'm spray painting them from white. and then once they're dry, I'm using a little over two packs of these black and gold foil puffy stickers, also from Dollar Tree, and spaced them out to create sort of a square in the center of each square panel that will be here. five stickers tall by five stickers wide, so you'll need 25 squares for each panel.
You can easily hang them with some small nails or command hooks. They are very light and very easy to hang. I love how they look in a set of three. I like this, personally, I really love how they turned out. They are so pretty, easy and inexpensive to make a really inexpensive diy wall decor piece. Dollar Tree had these backsplash tile stickers and they are basically like a square sheet. from the backsplash sticker I grabbed two of these while I was at Dollar Tree and just cut pieces to fit along with two Dollar Tree vases so I got a seven inch base or a seven and a half and nine inch base and cut pieces. equal heights to surround the base of those vases, these could be candle holders, you can put some candles inside them which I think looks really nice, you could also use them as a vase if you prefer but there really isn't one. easier than this, you are simply sticking the tile sticker on the base.
For this one, I'm taking an 11 by 14 canvas from Dollar Tree and I'm going to take some hot glue and basically start in the middle and just do hot stripes. The glue makes this look like a sun, like a star shaped sun from the center, making lines going to the edge in all directions. Now, if you're wondering why there's some yellow hot glue in there, first of all, it had a couple different brands. of hot glue, so I just mixed and matched glue sticks with different brands and some of them are cloudier than others, some of them are lighter, some of them are cloudier, but it doesn't really matter because we're going to paint over this, um.
The other thing is that I think I left my glue gun, it was sitting for a while because I was working on some different projects and I think the glue was getting too hot, so I'm not sure the combination of those things is anyway I guess why I have a little bit of yellowish hot glue there, but yeah, in case you're wondering, now I want to add a blue base to this, so of course the glue dries pretty quickly and I have a little bit of blue chalk paint here, so what? In fact, I'm going to go ahead and put some water on my plate.
Here I just have a paper plate that I added a little bit of water to so I can thin out a little bit of paint, so in the center I'm putting the chalk paint like straight on but then towards the outside of this starburst or the outside edge. of the canvas, I'm actually diluting it quite a bit in water, so it's more like painting watercolor than chalk paint, um and that way I have a little bit more I can customize it a little bit more to make it look like a very light blue as a background and almost keep it where I have some white and some blue, but with the center a darker blue, so I hope that makes sense.
I really wanted to keep a varied color here and be able to see some depth and dimension, of course you can always come back with a little more white paint if you want to brighten and brighten your photo a little more. in case you know if the blue is too dark and moody and starts to overpower it, and I had some shiny silver acrylic paint from art deco, so I brought a little bit of that, honestly, I had very little left in this. jar, but I thought you don't even need much, but I just put a little bit of that in there and then the other thing I'm going to add is I actually tried to add a little bit of glue here, but then I had to Think instead of the glue because I wanted adding some glitter and sparkle in the center of this, I decided to grab some silver glitter paint from Dollar Tree and put all of that in the center and then drag it out. the center in all directions to get a little bit of that shimmer and shine and then I also sprinkled all of this with a little bit of blue glitter so very lightly over all with the blue glitter I decided to add a frame for this so I'm going to use an 11 by 14 frame also from Dollar Tree and I was very undecided about whether to make this frame white or use that shiny silver metal.
Comment below and tell me what you would do. Would you do this with a white frame or would you do it with a silver frame? But anyway, this is how this beautiful piece of blue and silver wall art turned out. I think it's a beautiful wall decor piece on a

budget

. It was very fun and easy to do. I'm grabbing one of these startup signs from Dollar Tree. I'm going to take this metallic marker. This is from Dollar Tree. This part is optional. They also have it in gold and silver like the metallic ones um I'm going to go ahead with this coppery rose gold color just because we have more copper and rose gold in our house so I decided to outline my letters with that and give it a thick copper border metallic around the h m and e I also removed that little metal heart in the middle.
I'm going to save it and use it later to make the o. I decided to cut a bouquet of pink roses from the Dollar Tree and I'm going to use a very soft light. pastel pink I love this color and I mean you could easily do white roses and make it more neutral for any time of year. The last thing I'm going to do is take some fabric paint and do some embossed polka dots here. the letters and I think they almost look like little pearls. I love how it adds a three dimensional look. The roses also give you that 3D effect, but I'm going to add them with this white fabric paint, it's like a Puffy Paint and it will dry puffy just like when you put it on.
I actually bought this fabric paint on Amazon. It comes in a pack of three, so sometimes buying it in bulk is a better deal, but if you're looking to do this. from Dollar Tree, don't worry, Dollar Tree has little bottles of fabric paint and I know I've seen it in black and white so I decided to style this outside. I'm not sure if I want to hang it somewhere on the wall or use it on the mantel, but how pretty does it look on our deck right now I've set the colors here and the colors match so beautifully, move on to the next one, the next one too was inspired by something about the brand.
New one that I found at Dollar Tree and I fell in love with it when I saw it so the first thing I'm going to do is grab some wooden play blocks and these are those spinning tower play blocks that you guys already saw in the big packages. Since Dollar Tree now has a big pack that's like double the size of what they used to sell for a dollar, that's exciting, definitely keep an eye out for those giant packs of these blocks. Actually, I thinkYou don't need that many for this. We're using 16 of the game blocks for this DIY and basically what we're going to do is glue two of them next to each other, two more on top and that makes a little cube here and then I made a second set of four .
So, on top of that, the blocks are too high lengthwise, so basically they are two blocks wide by two blocks long by two blocks high. Use wood glue. You know, hot glue will give you a quick fix. Super glue will also work, which you can pick up at Dollar Tree, but you know I already had wood glue and I know that wood glue is going to give me a really great, long-lasting hold here, so I decided to go ahead and use it and again. I'm taking that wet paper towel and rubbing some old wax on here.
I'm going to glue that cube we just made into the center of the largest box here and place my next medium sized box. on top of that and it's like our little riser for a farmhouse tiered tray stand. I glued the smaller box on top now so we have a large, medium and small and this makes the most adorable farmhouse style tiered tray. I love how pretty she is. the perfect size to collect all your little trinkets and by the way these boxes fit beautifully together they are like the cutest little nesting boxes and they just fit inside each other it's so cute but I love how adorable it is this tray and I did it.
I want to point out that little metal bracket on the front that you can stick a label on the inside so you can label this if you want, but they also have little screws on them so if you want to take it off and put it somewhere else. DIY, you can do that too. I grabbed one of these plastic pots from Dollar Tree from their summer garden section along with a small glass candle holder. I turn that candlestick upside down, put some glue on it, and add our tray on top. this just makes a really pretty pedestal plate that you could put real fruit on if you want.
I actually just put some lemons and limes from the dollar tree in here and I think it looks really cute and beautiful for summer and it really adds a really nice pop of color for summer. I'm grabbing several boxes of wood blocks from Dollar Tree to create a tissue box cover. I started by creating four wooden block squares that are three blocks tall, two of the squares. They are eight blocks wide and two are nine blocks wide. I think you'll definitely want to use wood glue for this because super glue soaks and absorbs the wood and hot glue will create too much bulk, but if you have a suggestion for another type of glue that would work besides wood glue definitely let me know.
I'll have the one I used linked below in the description box. I bought mine on Amazon and I think it was less than five dollars for this bottle. I have been using it. for about a year now and I still have a lot left, then I created a top panel for the box and for this it is basically Another square that is three vertical blocks high by nine vertical blocks wide, but in the middle row I only have two blocks in each end and the five blocks in the center I omitted so that we can easily get a tissue over here.
I just applied a very very light coat of white spray paint and when it was dry I sanded everything again with a little piece of sandpaper, nothing special just sand until it looks how you want and I personally think this just gives the tissue box has a really lovely, lighter look where you can still see the wood grain peeking through and I think it was perfect for that rustic beach style coastal decor. I started by taking this dollar tree vase and spray painting it white and then Once it was dry, I took this very light Parisian gray chalk paint and lightly dry brushed it and lightly pressed it with a circular foam brush and kept applying a little more and a little more until he covered the whole way. which I wanted it to be from the bottom to the widest part here at the base just before it narrows again and that way the neck part of the bottle will stay white again, let this dry completely and then a sheet should be enough to To make this, I think I took a sheet of these adhesive beads and cut long strips of pearls very carefully and I'm going to start where the white and gray meet at the top, leading the pearl sticker thread up to the middle of the vase. and I went down to the bottom on the opposite side and then to give myself a guide I started again at the top and connected another pearl necklace from the top and went down in the other direction to connect this pearl necklace with the other one on the bottom I hope this makes sense as you look at what I'm doing here, it's very hard to explain, but I continued going around the base making the diagonal lines and filling in the spaces with a pattern of purl stitches that the top triangle pieces have. five beads along that straight line and then a row of three and then one more pointing down to make it look like a little triangle and I made four rows of four beads a little bit diagonally to create a diamond shaped square here diagonally inside each little section around the face my heart starts to race and this is how it turned out so let me know what you think it's like the sun never ends it feels like everything stops the next one was so easy and turned out so pretty I think I took a set of four old coasters I had from Dollar Tree and covered them with two coats of white chalk paint and once they were dry I grabbed my black Sharpie paint pen, which I'll link to below.
I always link as much as I can, and if I ever forget, let me know and I'll look for the link again. Use anything straight, even like a piece of cardboard from your recycling. Anything like that, just try to get two straight diagonal lines from corner to corner that intersect. in the middle like this and then we're basically creating two more angles inside each triangle that we just made here. It worked pretty well to align the ruler within a quarter to a half inch of the other lines, but still aligned and parallel. to that line and then draw a line from the outer edge toward the center, stopping below the top angle point.
It's very hard to explain, but I hope you can see what I'm doing honestly. You can create any pattern of lines you want. you want or you could even capture a photo of this roller coaster and then use it to watch and copy for the next one. Now I'm picking up one of these signs, this one says that the best things in life aren't so true, right? I'm going to paint everything white with a nice thick coat of chalk paint and I still have these little tassels left, so you can make a bunch of these DIYs using your leftover tassels; otherwise you can go ahead and use the cotton rope or the jute twine and you can create your own tassels anyway, you can also do it with thread if you have some kind of thread at home or you can pick some up at Dollar Tree and create tassels with it, but I definitely wanted a way to reuse it and Just find a way to use what I already had here and then use hot glue to attach all of these individual gray tassel bows all around.
I tried to separate it and count how many tassels I had left over and then try it. to balance them so I had the same amount for each side and things like that, but now we needed a base for the stand and for that I started thinking about grabbing one of these glasses from Dollar Tree and painting the outside. but of course with chalk paint, you know it's going to have that dry chalky look, so you can go ahead and spray paint this white or, if you have a little bit of paint that you want to swirl around inside, this will give you a much cleaner and neater look, it's a little tricky because I feel like you need extra paint to be able to turn it around the inside, especially the chalk paint is quite thick so you need a lot of it to cover the inside, so what I ended up doing was using my foam brush a little bit to try to help spread it out and make it a little more even there and then I just rolled it back and forth until I got it pretty evenly.
I covered and then I let it dry and I just went ahead and glued the top of my stand here and I feel like this is a really nice raised pedestal tray stand. You could put this in a bedroom. You could put your perfumes on top. Put, I don't know what you want, what would you put here? I feel like this looks so elegant, neutral and very appropriate as anthropological style or boho chic style decor. Okay, so moving on to the next one, I simply cut a clean piece of wood print contact paper, about three inches tall or long enough to wrap around this vase from Dollar Tree, and that's all there is.
In this simple DIY chandelier I was inspired by this style similar to Pottery Barn. it is sold so if you notice on the top of the ceramic barn the glass is actually a milky white color so what I decided to do was sponge on some mod podge and make a layer there so that dries and becomes transparent. but it gives you that kind of hazy effect on the glass. If you wanted it to be a little whiter, you could probably try mixing it in like a small dot of white paint with your mod podge and do it that way.
Let me know what you think and if you would add white paint or leave clear glass or just do it with the mod podge like I did here. I added one of my favorite LED candles inside or you can totally make a real candle. It's up to you, but next I took a seven-inch vase and a nine-inch base and filled them two to three inches high, a few inches high, whatever looks good to you, with river rocks that you can get a whole bag. Dollar Tree or you can collect some rocks from the outdoors and make this even more personal and less expensive.
Dollar Tree also sells these little candle holders in a two-pack. I'm just placing one inside each vase on top of the rocks. and adding a candle, I think this would be beautiful anywhere in my home, but it really gives me a calm and relaxing spa vibe and I think it would be very beautiful in a bathroom or powder room for the next one we go to. To turn this little dollar tree mirror into a really cute little tray or candle holder, and to do that, I'm going to take a screwdriver and scratch off the letters that are here, that was the easiest way that I've heard a lot of people say.
I recommend using it as an acetone nail polish remover, but honestly I've had really good luck just scraping it off here and then to remove the last bit of residue under the letters, I just used a little bit of goo, but you can also use a little bit of glass cleaner. or something like that and it should be pretty easy to outline the mirror. I'm going to take a wooden dollar tree snake toy and take off both ends and then just hot glue it right on top of that mirror edge and that's all there is to it, you can style it however you want.
I like natural wood, but you know you can also spray paint the mirror frame black if you want more of that matte black with natural wood. I know that's really it. Popular but it comes in gold so I decided to leave it that way and you can style it with plants and some candles, you know, however you want. I think it turned out very nice. Thank you all so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed them. DIY decor pieces from Dollar Tree for under five dollars each, let me know which ones were your favorites and give this video a thumbs up.
