Here's what you need to know. There are many people who have been laid off from their jobs or have left their jobs, have fallen on hard times and have decided to take up house cleaning because it seems like it is the quick money. I can jump. I can clean some houses. I can make a little money and get back on my feet. There are many people who jump into the home cleaning business and do not have any training.

They don't

you to know this, but when they come to bid on a job, you may be the first house they bid on. They don't necessarily know what they are doing. You need to know that. There are a number of questions you can ask them to qualify them, but as a homeowner, you need to rate your house cleaner. The next thing you should know about some house cleaners is that some of them have never passed a background check. There is no drug control. There is no background check. There is no verification of employment history. Many professional house cleaners have a checklist. They will mark what they do. It is a guarantee of satisfaction. If a cleaning company comes to you and does not offer a satisfaction guarantee, walk away, because they do not guarantee the work. When you get home from work, you need to be able to see and know what they have done. A checklist helps you do this. Because if they come regularly and maintain everything, you may not necessarily notice it, but they have verified the things that they have done.

But some house cleaners don't want you to know that you're their meal ticket, so they'll come to your house, get some food, and make themselves some sandwiches. or ramen noodles or whatever, and then, hey, your purchases are their purchases.

Another thing house cleaners don't want you to know is that some of them are not confidential. They come to your house and while cleaning they see and hear things. They see that you have expired notices. Some of them check your email and then others hear you talking too much on the phone, they hear you fighting, and maybe you have late payments, or maybe you're cursing at someone and they know you're fighting and maybe you and your spouse don't get along. good. Are they talking about other houses they've cleaned? You could even give them a sign. Say, "Hey, tell me about one of your favorite houses." Then listen to the words and word choices they use. It's about creating consistency across the board so that as owners you don't go broke.
