May 31, 2021
Hi, I'm Megan, welcome back my friend, in this video we are making a DIY five

dollar

tree

from Walmart in a

boho

farmhouse

,

farmhouse

and

boho

style, honestly I'm having commitment issues with the style at the moment. I have no idea what my style is, let me. I know if you think they're farmhouse or bohemian, but hey, I think they can work with both. For the first few DIYs, I need two of the Dollar Tree spinning tower sets and then throw them in coffee or people have told me tea works better, but never. I have tea on hand so I always use coffee, it works well.

I put them outside. I did it. I'm a huge batch, all at once, let them dry and then gel super glue which you can get at Dollar Tree or you can use wood glue. just don't use hot glue. Some people have told me in the comments that super glue doesn't work for them. Try this 10 minute drying time and the trick to using the gel super glue is to put it in place and then not touch it. If you don't have a lot of time to work with it, after that take your little squares, put them together so four squares in two rows or two rows of four squares and then you're going to make two rows of seven squares, you feel me?

Are you still with me on that? So a cardboard mirror from Dollar Tree or foam board, really whatever you have on hand, trace your mirror and then trace a frame around the mirror with a ruler or I used a piece of craft box cutter. or a craft knife and then simply cut it in half, make sure your mirror fits perfectly and is tight, it is, but be careful. Dollar Tree mirrors are only a

dollar

and break very easily, so make your mirror have a back. so I'm using scrap cardboard sorry cardstock but you can use whatever use another cardboard thing if you want to hot glue that bad boy flip it over and then use a full bottle of hot glue to hold the mirror and then look. your outfit of the day like mine.

I'm wearing my cute sweatpants that I paired with my two dollar Walmart shirt. Once you have all that in place, check your assembly and everything, then simply hot glue your frame to the cardboard. I wonder why we made the frame which was to keep the blocks level, turned it over and then hot glued it even more just because I don't know extra security using a piece of wire but you can really use whatever you want. To hang this piece it is not very heavy. I didn't trust hot glue on the back of the cardstock, so I glued the sides where the wood and cardboard are.

See what I'm saying there and I actually love how. This mirror turned out. I love it so much that I made it and the only thing I wish I had done differently is figured out how to make the back look better since this is a DIY I'm actually going to keep. I'm not going. take this apart and reuse it for something else. I really love how it turned out. In fact, I think if you could find a used mirror or repurpose an older mirror with this style around the frame and it would look really cool, and that's it. number 2 where you need a dollar

tree

, larger willow canes, eucalyptus pictures from Walmart when I bought these I thought they were only a dollar, they cost a dollar 47 but it's no big deal, and for dollar trees , roses, then all you have to do is just start gluing the stems and the wreath needs no heat which is awesome and if you noticed my wreath shape had hot glue all over it, it's because I reuse my wreath shapes , even though it only costs a dollar, I still like to reuse them. a dollar saved is a dollar earned or as the saying goes, it looks great just with that eucalyptus, you could stay here, beautiful as is, but I think taking that extra step of cuteness and adding the roses makes it look more elegant, but you already know.
Totally optional and I am in love with how this wreath turns out. I saved every DI line in every summary, but I'm serious. I mean, you can have many loves in your lives and I love crowns. I guess I don't know. but just so you know if you really fluff this, I measured it. This wreath on the outside is two feet wide, so it's a really large, decent sized wreath and I think it's really pretty for under $15 for the number three. All you need are four of these wooden puzzles from Dollar Tree we are using these circles.
I'm saving the stars and squares for Christmas. They make three different types of puzzles, so make sure you get the one with three circles. Save the small piece of wood for later DIY. This is a printable. I made it and as always when I make it printable I share it with you all for free linked in the description it says hello spring and summer just two different fonts to give you options take your circles trace your letters then cut out your letters and then all. What you have to do is use the same tea or coffee or make a new one and the tea stains your letters.
Spring and summer will be reversible and then Hi no, so it'll just go back to the circles, spray paint them. You can use $0.98 spray paint from Walmart or you can chalk paint them, just use some type of non-acrylic paint to prime them and make them all the same color, so you can go back and use some type of light brown. I use territorial beige to paint. around the rims nothing special I didn't even try to do it perfectly so just grab a glue stick and stick your letters on your circles are you following me? I think we're good so Dollar Tree sells a tool hanging kit or Walmart or Dollar General they all do it and they come with these little screw hooks you just screw them into the top of the wood which I actually noticed the wooden circles are really MDF, so they do crack, but it doesn't bother me, they aren't.
When falling apart it still holds up well so I used the top font and this is what we have so far so we have a Hello which will be a banner and then spring and summer will also be one and this is where I have options so you can take four bags of dollar tree beads, 125 pieces in each bag, spray paint them white. I've done this before it works very well or Walmart sells this big bucket of beads for six dollars, totally natural neutral colors and you get In fact, many bought this in the fall and it was only $5 so it sucks price surprises or this It's what I did.
I bought this huge $10 bucket of beads because it has these big beads and then mainly this bag of beads all the same color. brown because that's what I want this time and it's equivalent to three and a half bags of Dollar Tree beads. I know this because to tell what I'm doing, I hit banners or hit anything like that. I can just sit and watch Netflix add. 20 beats add a lyric, add 20 beats off the lyric and I can still pay attention in my program without having to count as I go. I also added 55 beads on each one and I hope you were still with me through all of that, so look, it's reversible.
Spring. and in the summer lately I really like these beaded signs, so I have this on my shelf, but I can move it around. I do not know yet. I can move it to my whiteboard. I'm not sure because I made it brown on purpose to put it on. this on my mantel and I love that it could say spring or summer, but I was also thinking it would be super cute as wedding

decor

or baby shower

decor

, reception, I don't know, parties, graduations, endless possibilities for all of you and for the

room

DIY. which is very simple but may be my favorite.
I just wanted the bamboo cutting boards from Dollar Tree to sand down the small corners and by the way, keep the finish on one side too and if you can't find the cutting boards, get a spare piece. of water, go to a thrift store, they have little things like this all the time. I'm using wooden beads, but I'm thinking that if you don't go the route of buying the big ol' bucket, you could buy a bag of dollar tree marbles. They have some big ones that come in there and use super glue to stick them together.
I also stained my beads with coffee because I like this tone of wood and the beads were a little lighter, but the coffee stain totally marked the path where I wanted my beads. now my little feet to go, super glue, but you could really use that glue. I just like the timing fast and right, as I always say, and this is where I feel like I have a super stylish or creative dollar tree washi tape. I bought this specifically for this. Make it yourself because I loved the pattern to use as a border and it turned out much better than I thought.
I really love how it looks. I originally thought I was going to use it for a candle holder because I love candle holders, but I'm actually using it to hold my dish soap and hand soaps next to my sink. It's super cute, I love it. Now for the last DIY, we have some Ginga pieces or tumbling sets or games, whatever, you know what I'm saying, left over from the first DIY. make a cross glued with super glue, paint it and more of these are just one, no more, one of the little screw hooks. Now I usually add free printables, but I literally just made a copy of this from a book I already had, Your Old Sturdy Cross, so Sorry I can't share this with you.
I just don't know how I literally scanned into my computer and I don't know if they would allow me to do that. I also stained the cross shaped paper with tea and cut it out. The glue stick once again is very repetitive, so I just skim it and use the rest of my big beads. This is exactly why I want these huge beads to be like this and by the way, I don't think I mentioned that I've been using. the thin black wire from Dollar Tree for all my beaded signs and such. I made this by accident because I couldn't find my fishing line and this works great, it's thin enough but strong enough, you can bend it and you have no problem getting it tangled or I string the beads and I love this DIY, super cute.
I'm putting it on the hooks in my entryway, but I also think it would be really cute like in a big jar or just on a table as decoration around a lamp, whatever. Alright, that's it my friends, thank you so much for watching and I'll see you next time.
