to use so first of all we will go over the first feature that BMW owners forget to use and this one is really useful because winter is coming and believe me you will be. wanting to know what this is and what it does, and this is going to be one that you definitely don't want to forget, so for the first one it's going to be the winter wiper mode, now the way to do it is to just turn off your car, it's on right now , so we're going to turn off the vehicle and then when the vehicle is off, just come back here where we have the windshield wiper and just hold it down and hold it down the entire time. until the wiper comes back up for the fourth time and then it will stay as you can see.

This was also featured in one of our hidden trick videos, but it's still one we all forget to use, so definitely use it. this to fit the winter windshield wipers and position them so that they don't freeze too much the next day and then you don't have to wait for them to defrost so you can continue on your way to number two. To be the sync button now, as you can see on previous BMWs, there was a sink button located right around the climate controls, but as you can see on these newer BMWs, there is no sync button here, so which the way to access it is simply By clicking on this menu button right here and then once you press the menu button, you can see sync here as well.

You could actually have that numerical or trip computer reset to zero every time you fill up your tank every time. time and you don't have to do absolutely anything now, this is what you should do now. Did you know that there is a motion detector inside the vehicle as a safety feature? Now I point this out if you have a pet that you are going to leave inside your vehicle. Your pet will most likely set off the motion detector, so there is a way to disable the motion detector while keeping your vehicle locked. This is super hidden. It was mentioned in one of my keychain videos. Now the way to deactivate the motion detector just get out of your vehicle, if you look up you will see a flashing red light once you lock the car and see the flashing red light just press lock one more time and then you will see the Flashing red light will stay on for about two or three seconds and then start flashing red again.

This is how you will know that the vehicle is locked and the motion detector is off for the next one. I still keep getting this question. all the time now, if you were to get out of your vehicle, if you notice that the interior lights are still on and if you want to turn them off, you can do so. On previous BMWs I used to have to press the off button twice, but on this newer one. vehicle, if you want to turn off the lights and screens inside the vehicle, what you would do is just hold this down for three seconds, one, two, three, as you can see the computer screens are off and now we can exit our vehicle safely and let's be on our way, this one will be good if everyone listens to Sirius Radio now, if your BMW has a serious radio what you would do is go into the media, now Sirius radio has this really cool feature called notify if you've never used it .

It'll be on the right side of the screen whenever you're in the serious menu, just look down here, scroll down and you'll see the notification here, so basically what the notification does is say, for example, your favorite. melody or music or song is playing on the radio, what you can do is just press notify and then once you do, Sirius will notify you every time that song is played again, a message will appear informing you to say, for example, Frank Sinatra. playing and then you can simply click on it, which is a quick way to get a notification every time your favorite song plays.

This is going to come down to the lighting controls now, definitely, if you have one of the newer BMWs, chances are you won't I'll see two buttons here on the side BC it's going to be pretty popular, but this button down here just means it means automatic high beams if your vehicle has this automatic high beams feature because it is one of the best features of all. At night, what you want to do regardless of whether the headlights are on is just press this time and you will see a headlight with a pop-up window on the dashboard that will let you know that the automatic high beam feature is activated.

Now what the vehicle will do is every time it detects a vehicle in front of you it will turn off the high beams as soon as it is completely dark again. The high beams will turn back on by themselves. This is going to be quite popular now that it can. Fold your mirrors every time you lock the vehicle. There is a way to do this, but by default it is disabled. You have to go to settings and enable it. Now we're going to do it, so we're going to go straight to the car. here and then we'll go to settings once you do that you want to scroll down to where it says doors and vehicle access scroll down and then you'll see the folding mirrors when they're locked and So now every time you lock your vehicle the side mirrors will fold on their own.

This is good if you like to use your voice commands a lot, which I recommend using a lot because this voice command button for newer vehicles is actually very good. powerful you can basically do everything you can even tell your voice commands to lower the windows too these days which is crazy but yes all the newer BMWs have a personal assistant and if you don't want to avoid just press this button what? what you could do is just say hello BMW. Now, by default, it is disabled. The way you would do it is just go to auto and then go to settings, once you are in settings go all the way to the left where it says general. settings and then you want to scroll down to where it says voice control now, once you enter voice control go to where it says Activation Word and just activate the function now, every time you say that word there, the voice command of the vehicle will activate and then you can talk to your vehicle hands free without using this button Hello BMW, good morning to you too, not only that but if you have your Apple carplay connected inside your phone you could just say and then Siri will appear here to make phone calls for you or write text messages or take you to Starbucks.

Now I'm going to open another screen here, but did you know that in the my BMW app you can enter an address directly here and then you could have the address sent directly to your car, if you want to find the navigation address that you sent from the app to the vehicle , just go here to Applications, you want to go into the installed applications and then you will see your my BMW right here, click on that and then as you can see you will see your destination appear right here, just press that and then the BMW will start taking you to where I had a set, the next one is.

It's also very popular if you press unlock once it just unlocks the driver's side door but as you can see the other doors are now locked. Two more things: If the vehicle was locked, you can press unlock twice and all the doors will open. as you can see or you can just go into your settings right here go to the car once you get into the car go into the settings scroll down to hold button settings and then what you want to do is go into the door on the side of the car driver. just and then you want to reset that so it's all doors now once you press the unlock button once on your key fob it will open all doors.

This is one that many don't use and I don't blame them because it's pretty uncommon to do this. Did you know that if the vehicle is not running, you can shift it to the left side? You'd think it takes you to manual mode, which it does, but you have to use the paddle shifters or move around. the lever here back and forth to fully engage manual mode, but let's say, for example, we're trying to quickly overtake a car or we're trying to quickly get onto the freeway and we just need an extra push, something other than what you could doing to accelerate quickly is simple and while driving just move this guy to the left side so he's in that Ms mode, but again as mentioned you have to move the stick or use the shift paddles. to go into manual mode, as you can see right now, if I move it and don't use the shifter or the paddles, it will be in sport shift mode.

Now, sport shift mode is simply the same as driving, but it will just give you a lot more engine power, hold gears longer to help you pass the vehicle you're trying to pass or get onto the road quickly. Once you're all set, you can simply move this guy back onto the road and then the vehicle will run and drive normally again. It's completely safe to do this while the vehicle is moving, so don't worry about it, but definitely try it next time. We have Auto H. Now what Auto H means is auto hold. I still believe this button is not used much, but there is a reason why many BMWs have it and it has been introduced and remained on BMWs for over five years.

What is Auto Age when it's the name you just have? to press it once, as you can see we have Autoh enabled here and you can also see a green light around the switch. Now what Auto H will do again is auto hold if your vehicle is driving and then comes to a complete stop you could actually take your foot off the brake and then the vehicle will still stay in place and hold thebrake for you. Some very very good scenarios to use i.e. just if you are going through a drive thru, if you are stuck in stop and go traffic at a very long red light and for my BMW enthusiast it is also great to use if you are trying to pass a car at a red light because you can have your foot ready on the accelerator. many do not fit the witches we have here now.

There are many different ways to customize this. Now what iPhone priority does is simply if there were multiple people inside the vehicle. In fact, you could prioritize your phone to be your primary phone and then anyone else that's in it and your vehicle could be secondary or third or fourth now the way you do it and unfortunately we won't see that now because we need multiple phones. inside the vehicle, but if you were to go into com, which is communication, go to mobile and then if we had multiple phones here, we could go into settings here and then once you do that, you'll see an additional settings pop up. here it is called phone priority, just click on phone priority and then you can set your phone to be the primary phone so that way you don't have to readjust who becomes the primary phone manually.

Many BMWs now come with the digital key card. Not this one, but I'll show you one. Image of the same, if your vehicle comes with the digital key card, you can use it as your third key. Now what the digital key card can do is once you've activated it, you have to create your driver profile and then set it up on the pad right down there to activate the key card, but you can just hold that key card. access against the door handle and then that will unlock and unlock the vehicle and then you can start your vehicle as well, all without your real keys, the benefit of using the digital access card is that you can carry it whenever you go walking, riding bike or swim, so we don't have to carry your actual keychain with you.

A quick note to mention, although it is a subscription because that's why BMW is, but you can always renew it so definitely take advantage of that if your vehicle comes with one, okay, for the next one it will be called convenience access now, if you don't know about this yet little trick, all newer BMWs have this feature called comfort access. which simply means that if you have your key fob inside your pocket, you can simply walk towards the vehicle and then the vehicle will unlock itself or if you walk away from the vehicle, the vehicle will automatically lock by default.

This feature is disabled. so you have to go to settings to enable it now if you want to do that just go to the car and then go to where it says settings and then the tab you want to look for will be vehicle access doors go and click on that and if it goes down, you'll see convenient access up here, as mentioned above, this feature is disabled by default, so you need to go ahead and come in here and check this along with check this. and once you do that, the vehicle will detect that the remote control is moving away from the vehicle and will lock the car and vice versa.

This also goes very unnoticed. We have our phone button here and yes, you can use the phone button to choose. make a phone call, did you know that once you're done with a phone call, you don't have to come all this way and hang up on the phone call? You can simply press the phone button one more time while you are on the call. Call and he will hang up the phone call. Did you know that all newer BMWs come with the SOS button? Last but not least, if we were to use our BMW navigation, we can access the split screen that we all seem to forget to use. The vehicle has a split screen option.
