Mar 27, 2024
Hi, I'm the Timars Internet Sales Manager here at L MacArthur Ford in Salina Kansas for this week's Maverick Monday. We're on episode nine now of these, uh, and this week I wanted to talk. I really got to thinking, let's talk about TW. the future here in the

2025

model year for the Ford Maverick the Maverick will receive a model update this year this is something that we know, I have it on good authority that that is happening and we know that it is following the normal update process which is every three years , right in the middle there's an update and then, and then, a next generation in about six years, and then we know that the Maverick is following the same principle as that, so let's talk about that. let's talk about um for Authority.

I actually have three article links that link below the description. I like to give you where to give credit and where credit is due and Ford Authority has us. They are really good at detecting some vehicles driving that are masked. and disguised so let's talk about some of the ones you've seen and what we can shine in those images and whether or not they are 20125 Mavericks floating around or 2028 uh now I'm going to continue this conversation about this. I just want to preface very quickly. Make sure you're subscribed with the Bell notification on because tomorrow night we'll be doing a live stream every week at 7pm. central time on Tuesday nights.

Sarah and me. here together at the dealership and we talk about a lot of things scheduling news updates dealership news um we also talk about recalls and we also talk about things that we have in mind tomorrow night we're going to talk more about the Maverick and uh we We're going to interact with the rest of the group. We typically have around 150,200 people here who live with us and we want to get your feedback that we can share with the Maverick brand team, so if you want to make a difference. They want to see some changes, they need to hear from you and we're going to have that conversation and get it going, we have to do it now because you can make some of these changes and input on the some of the different offerings, uh, before we have to do it now , before it's too late, uh, for the 25th model year, so around 8 o'clock is when we start talking about those different topics, so if you don't want to see the first part of that that's fine, come on around 8:00 central time and join us in that conversation, so okay, let's move on to the rest of the video here, let's move on and I want to highlight this one here on Ford Authority.

The first, here, in November, almost December, they saw a 25. They believe that a Ford Maverick 25 was seen for the second time. And a lot of times you'll know that they usually don't update the hoods on the doors and all that kind of stuff. things usually what you'll see or the ceiling, I kind of pointed to the ceiling, but it said Hood. Typically what you'll see is they'll refresh the grill headlights, that kind of thing, maybe the bumpers as well, um, so you can see. They mix this up really well so you can't see if they've done anything to that kind of thing, and chances are that what's behind it probably isn't anything different, but they're testing it and driving it that way. thing and get it out there and it could also be a ploy to get people excited about the next model year, so anyway I was driving around and you can see there you have some black wheels and everything that they really use.

We'll also talk about these images in another article, but you can see they're talking about the Prototype, heavy camouflage all over the vehicle's front clip and fenders, all of which they probably won't change. fenders uh, but in this case maybe they will because I think they actually talk about this as a sport model, um, and we'll get into that a little bit where maybe they would change those fenders, they could use Air Design stuff on all of that. kind of thing anyway, you can see that, uh, you can see that they have that marked and they're really just exposing it, so this could be a dark one, like the black appearance package, uh, and it looks like the door rear.
It's hard to see there, but it looks like there's something sticking out right in the middle anyway, usually we see an update not just on the exterior grille and the tailgate, that kind of thing, but we'll see some updates as well. new wheel options, usually new ones, a new package or a new trim level, all together it could be one or the other. Here he comes and we'll talk about an article about one of his articles in a second, in fact, they mention it here, uh, August 21st. uh which could include a truck focused on the high performance St version um right um I know Rous works closely with Ford when it comes to performance uh if you say Ford performance on that Ral performance has its hands in that I toured the plant about a year ago and I know they're working on something for the Maverick, so we'll see a first version of the Maverick for the '25 model year, we don't know, but anyway they're speculating about that too there and type. to show some of that now let's go to this other article that they have like talking about these new wheels and that, there you have it, can you see that now there you have it and you can see the same vehicle that they are talking about here, but? in this case they are talking about these wheels because most of the wheels that are currently on the Maverick are 17 or 18 inch wheels and I believe these are 19 inch wheels.
I think they're pretty close to that uh here in a little bit um, but speaking of street performance, it looks like it's maybe lowered a little bit in the rear, uh, just right for street performance, so we'll see on that St, we'll see maybe even a better version instead of maybe a sport utility vehicle. Will it be your own finish or will it be a package? It will probably be its own finish if it is going to be like a st, like Ford does on the St. Now, you can see that it is an all season tire, which will often do well on a 19 inch wheel with a good Wrangler uh HT territory so there you go so they're speculating that there's probably going to be a dislike and they're trying to get really close to this to see if the bumpers are like the The bumpers look like and everything um anyway so I saw a version, I can't speak to that, um, so we know there will be a version on the way, um, we don't know if it will be the G model for year 25, although we assume so, we believe.
It's going to be now, let's talk about the interior because not only do they refresh the exterior, but they usually refresh the interior as well and I want to talk about this a little bit because they're talking here, they're speculating. which will make the ranger enter your screen. I'm moving down. You see right there you see something happening there. I don't know if it's the ranger screen or not, but they'll probably update this screen and here. That's why I want to say that Ford has told dealers, there you have it, that's what you're thinking, that's what it's going to be, that's what's in the 24 Ranger is a 10-inch portrait-style display , where will you adopt that screen or not? um there is a current screen now um now one thing we do know is that they have said that they want to simplify the screens.
I mean, if you look at it, you know they've had a lot of different screen options. F-150 if you had. you know the 12 inch and then the 8 inch, you also had a 4 inch productivity screen here and then you saw the Maverick had that 8 inch screen with the cubby on the side, so you also have the screen that we see on the Sports Broncos. like the ranger screen, the 15 and a half vertical style on their electric vehicles, you've already seen all the different options available and all the different screens, even the Expedition, if you upgrade, you can get a 15 and a half vertical screen, but Ford has said they brought in some people, they say their goal is to simplify things to four screens and when you think about it, they upgraded the Explorer to the 13.2-inch screen with the 12.3-inch productivity screen, which is exactly the same screen as we see in Escape right now, so Escape and Explorer get the same screen.
Edge leaves. Expedition will probably have the same screen as the Superduty or F-150, which is more than likely the dual 12-inch screen because there. The Expedition will also be updated by 25, we have five models that will be updated this year and 25 models of the year, the Explorer will be updated, the Expedition, the Maverick and the Bronco Sport, and we think the Bronco could also be delayed another year, but those five should be updated this year and with that provides the opportunity to update their screens now, one thing we will see is that there are only two models that still have the sync 3 screen and they are the bronos Sport and the Maverick, both made in the same way . plant, so I think we'll see an upgrade to at least a Sync 4 in the interior, um, in the infotainment system or Ford's new digital experience, um, which I don't know if they'll do in that vehicle because that It's uh, you know, we'll see a different experience.
I think we'll at least get the sync for that and Ford needs on the Maverick to go to a screen now with the Lariat trim sync 4 or sync 3 system, but not on the others. sync three and what's the difference, well the difference is that your phone can't really connect directly unless you have sync 3, you have to plug in your phone to be able to make and receive those phone calls, I think they're not. They are going to upgrade to Lisa sync 4 for both the Broncos Sport and the Maverick U if the Maverick will get this 10 inch screen like the Ranger has.
I don't know, I think the Broncos Sport and Maverick will have similar screens regardless, it depends on what they do, but it's something we still have to wait to see and it will appear very soon and again. I want you to post this and join the conversation tomorrow night. I think so. It's going to be a lot of fun, we're going to talk about the 25 Maverick, we're going to talk, we're going to talk about the current options that we have and some changes that really need Ford to need to make, you know, we're looking at these changes in the Explorer, we'll talk more about this tomorrow night.
I don't want to, I don't want to say too much and spoil that, but come to the live stream tomorrow night and join us live or If you watch it, write all those comments down below, we know Ford watches our live stream, at except the Maverick brand team watches those videos and wants your opinion. We probably have more Maverick community on our live streams and watching our videos than anyone else. I think we're the only dealership that does a Maverick specific video once a week, no one else does so you really look to L MacArthur and our YouTube channel for information and what you guys think so we need that feedback what do we need. deliver that to them now so they can make those changes and make some of these options available on what the team wants, like dropping the keyboard, removing it completely from the vehicle, making an option installed on the deal that still has to this day today.
It's a problem that the dealership installs them, the software doesn't work and that kind of thing. We need your guys' opinion. We need to be able to tell them. Adaptable equipment. There are so many people who are ordering the XL why I would like to have that conversation tomorrow night, so come tomorrow night, join us at 7 p.m. We start talking about scheduling information, dealer news updates and recalls, but around 8 o'clock is when we get into what I have in mind, what the 25 Maverick knows and some changes need to be made. , so ride the half mile and join us on our live stream so you can join the conversation and join the movement for the Ford Maverick.
I'm really excited for the 25th mod year, I think. It will be a fun model to watch. I think we'll see some big

improvements

, but we need information so it can be the best possible model, so we'll look and see a plug-in hybrid. we see a 425 hybrid model year with all-wheel drive probably not, probably not, so my opinion is that you are getting 42 miles per gallon in a front-wheel drive hybrid. I don't see a plug-in hybrid on the way and it's needed on the Maverick at least not in generation one, maybe in generation two, um and I don't necessarily know that we necessarily need an all-wheel drive hybrid version.
It's front-wheel drive that will take care of most people, so I don't know if we'll see it. I know a lot of people who say, "Well, the Escape has it, yeah, the Escape does. Is it the Maverick?" I don't know anyway. I think they want it because they have all-wheel drive. The EcoBoost version people who need it can go that route, so I don't know if we'll see it, but they might make me look like a fool, but I don't know if it will happen anyway. Tomorrow night join us, we'll be here live with you and I hope you enjoyed this video for a Maverick Monday.
I hope you enjoy your Maverick today and I hope you stay positive, be kind to each other, be kind to yourselves and to us. See you tomorrow night, hopefully, bye.
