speed

My enthusiast online car auction site recently sold this and this and this and this and this check it out at carsand bids.com the time is right for the quirks and features of the new Bentley Flying Spur

speed

and I'm going to start with the best part, the 6L twin turbo W12 engine, one of my all time favorite gasoline engines ever installed.

Bentley has been using it for 20 years and it keeps improving on this car 626 horsepower 664 lb-ft of torque huge numbers it has about 85 more horsepower than the V8 in the regular model 0 to 60 comes in the mid-range of 3 seconds on its way to a top speed of 27 mph this engine is everything and I really love it and yet it's disappearing the speed of the Flying Spur is the last Bentley to offer this twin-turbo W12 will go out of production in the spring and then It's over , we're moving to V8 engines and plug-in hybrids and Bentley says its entire line-up will be electrified by 2030, but for now we have a last gasp of this incredible W12 in the Flying Spur line;

More Interesting Facts About,

2023 bentley flying spur speed the 300 000 end of the w12...

It is only offered in the speed model. or you can still get it in the regular Flying Spur through the special wishes department, but basically this is it, this is the car and this is the end of the W12. Now beyond the Trin power, there are many other interesting things about the new Flying Spur. speed, all of this comes standard with all-wheel drive which has always been true for the Continental GT and Flying Sper models, and this one comes standard with rear wheel steering which greatly improves its maneuverability in tight spaces, a cool feature In terms of braking, the Flying Spur has 162 front brake rotors, which Bentley says are the largest brakes ever installed on any production car.

You can see they are absolutely huge, almost 17, that's a pretty big wheel size for me, well here are the brake rotors. And speaking of wheels, the Speed model has its own distinctive wheel design different from the standard Flying Spur to help distinguish it as the more sophisticated high-performance version and there are other upgrades on the exterior to help it teleport the $300,000 speed of the standard model. cyan $230,000 is a regular Flying Spur, meaning everything has been blacked out, you can see all the trim like around the headlights, it's blacked out instead of chrome, same thing on the front grill, this trim blacked out, you have this blacked out line that goes down the hood to distinguish this. car and these blacked out Fender badges on the side basically blacked out all the trim to help emphasize performance instead of fancy Chrome.

Interestingly, there was only one exterior badge on this car that actually says speed, it's located here and it's Chrome despite everything else. On this car it is blacked out, the speed badge itself is chrome which is strange. Plus, there's a speed upgrade in the trunk. It has a small carbon fiber spoiler which again helps to imply that this is a bit different from your luxury-focused standard. Flying Spur and of course there are many other interesting features besides the fact that this is a speed model, for example the headlights that look absolutely beautiful, like high quality crystal jewels, it is a really beautiful appearance that combines with luxury and high-end price.
In this car, inside the fuel door, you can see that the gas cap has a curved and curved look that is aluminum and special, it is actually plastic, it is not actually aluminum, but it looks cool, without certainly better than a boring regular plastic gas cap like the one found on most cars. and here's a cool trick on the outside: you have the

flying

winged Bentley be logo here on the trunk, as you can see, and to open the trunk you push the Bentley be in the middle and the trunk pops open. Take another look. Pressing B opens a small trunk lock hidden on the exterior of the Bentley, a neat touch.
As for the overall look of this vehicle, I must say it is magnificent. Surprisingly, the new Flying Spur still has approximately the same dimensions as the original model that came out in 2006. I say it's incredible because this car has much more presence. It looks more majestic, more elegant, more beautiful, more modern. It looks longer and bigger, but no. It is, it's just the way they designed it. With these flowing lines that give it more gravity driving down the road or parked, it's a really beautiful car. Bentley calls this color British Racing Green. It certainly attracts attention as a press car, but I suspect no one will order it, but it is available if you want to be more extravagant with your Bentley's exterior color.
Now next we go up inside the Flying Spur, which is where you'll find pretty much all the real interest in Quirk, starting with getting inside and you can see the winged Bentley. logo that is projected on the floor, which I think is a bit silly, but that's what they do. You will also see that Bentley lights up here at the doorstep and on top of that you have speed. That bright green Bentley color is configurable the way you can change it to basically any color you want, it doesn't have to be that bright green, but it greets you every time you get on and when you get on, the first thing you notice is, without a doubt, the materials here.
Everything is beautiful like you. I would expect for over $300,000 to have high quality leather with nice contrast stitching, have gorgeous aluminum and chrome trim throughout, it's a beautiful interior for a beautiful car and probably the most obvious focal point is the dash where you have this brushed aluminum. This type of semi-circle pattern across the entire dashboard, moving onto the door panels, looks fantastic and really fits the luxury status of this car. And speaking of the dashboard, let's talk about the central screen, which, as you can see right now. There isn't one, you just have this beautiful brushed aluminum panel, but you start the car and the panel lifts out of its place and a screen appears, which is a nice trick and there's still another trick if you press the button on it. marked as display, the screen will disappear and flip again and reveal these three gauges that you can look at while driving.
Actually, you don't have to look at the screen if you want a more beautiful and relaxing experience, press the screen again. the meters move out of place and the screen returns and you can do this as many times as you want depending on your mood switching from the screen to the meters back and forth now when you move your eyes down from the central control stack and the When you turn the screen you will find that on the center console there are many buttons, that is because Bentley had to place the climate controls here due to the design of the center console with the screen, the vents, this beautiful clock , all climate controls turned down. here the center console is shared with many climate controls and then with many other controls, as you can see the gear selector, start and stop button, drive mode, parking brake, everything is here on the console central and makes it sort of a busy, button-heavy experience compared to many more minimalist modern interiors.
Now it's worth noting here that the dials are really beautiful, the dials that you use to adjust the climate temperature and the drive mode are really beautiful with this beautiful diamond pattern. On the outside they look and feel fantastic, unfortunately despite all the controls and buttons down here there are still some things that are surprisingly annoying to operate, for example this car has massaging seats but there are no buttons here on the center, around the heating. you sit on the cooled seats, there is no massage button, for that you have to enter the infotainment system, then swipe through several different tabs and only then you get to the massage seats, which you can activate, it is a little annoying and they certainly make you use them less, but even more annoying is that to change the speed of the climate control fan you have to press the fan button on the center console and then a menu appears on the screen where you can adjust the speed of the fan, it's a two. -The step process just to make that change is a little annoying, especially considering how many buttons this car has, but don't forgive those things when the switch to open and close the vents is so beautiful, this chrome or aluminum switch that works. so smoothly and effortlessly, it's so nice, do we really care about anything else?
Another interesting Quirk here on the center console, the gear selector which you can see here in the middle with the B logo on top, which is of course the Bentley logo, and you press it. To put it into gear, it's a neat integration of the Bentley logo into this important component for driving the car, and speaking of the B logo, you can also see it here on the driving mode selector. There are several different modes, Sport Comfort, but one is the B logo Bentley mode, which I think is supposed to be some kind of mix between sport and comfort.
How you're supposed to drive a Bentley neither too fast nor too slow. Another interesting thing on this center console is the armrest. I can see beautiful stitched leather, it doesn't open up to reveal a center console, there's just an armrest here that moves forward or back, but it doesn't lift up with storage underneath like basically every other armrest in the history of armrests, but anyway, let's move on next. technology in this car, the central infotainment screen which is excellent thanks to Bentley's partnership with Volkswagen Audi, Bentley owners, they have about the same infotainment and it is excellent, very easy to use, very touch sensitive, really a system Excellent without major drawbacks.
I love it. For example, the home screen, where you can see this three-pane screen here, is very configurable to show exactly what you want to see. This screen also responds very quickly like a smartphone. It plays basically anything and it gets up and I love it. Physical buttons mounted just below the screen allow you to cycle through several different menus with the press of a button instead of entering the screen. The back buttons, whatever those physical buttons are here at the base of the screen, are nice to see and worth noting as well. The Flying Spur has an excellent camera system.
You can see it here. Very high quality cameras that show many different angles. I mention this because the camera quality on most new Audi models is not that good, but they have clearly been improved for Bentley. and the rear camera, you can clean it, just tap here and then throw water to clean the camera, as you can see, to make sure your view is not obstructed, but then we move on to the gauge cluster, which is also a screen and it's also This indicator is excellent. The cluster sets the standard for basically everyone else. You can see any view you want.
Your telephone. Your map. You can have it full screen or smaller. Very configurable and very easy to configure. I love seeing this on Audi, Bentle and other Volkswagen brands. I have this great gauge cluster display that is very easy. It's also worth noting that this car has a night vision system that basically shows you what's coming at night using heat, so if an animal or pedestrian is going to walk down the road, you can see I love cars. with night vision I think it's a fantastic idea, it's popularity has declined in recent years which I think is a shame.
I'd love to see it come back, but at least now it's here at Flying Spur and in this vicinity, it's worth noting. To see how beautiful some of the things here are, like the turn signals, you can see chrome aluminum trim and they've made the edges the same textured diamond pattern that you saw on the center console dials, that's the part. that you really touch and it feels great to touch, as a result just a beautiful turn signal, that's what you get when you pay that much money for a car and it's the same with many of the other switches here, you can see that the turn signal switches the power windows are this chrome aluminum trim that looks beautiful, the same goes for the speaker cover on the front, the name of the audio system, it looks fantastic although you don't really see it while you are sitting inside the car, it is so deep in the footwell that it also has metal shift paddles.
They look and feel great and even the little dials on the steering wheel adjust depending on the track you're listening to or the volume, they also have this diamond pattern textured finish that looks and feels great.feels great, little attention to detail, that's why this car is very expensive, another interesting quirk of the Flying Spur's need for speed is the subtlety of the speed badges; In reality there is not much, but there is enough; It has the speed mounted on the passenger side dash which looks great and it has the speed sewn on it. The backrest rests on the seats, which also looks great.
I already mentioned that you have the speed on the door sill printed relatively subtly and that's it, you don't need exaggerated reminders that you have the special version, what you have is enough. Interesting article worth noting here, much of the interior is actually not leather, although it looks like it, it feels like it is made of a substance called dynamic, which is actually mostly recycled materials, again has the same feel in the finish. The look is leather, but it's much more environmentally friendly and is what is used in most of this interior and, frankly, you wouldn't know it.
Next we move on to the rear of the Flying. It boosts speed when you open the door and once again you see the Winged Bentley B logo even coming out of the rear doors which is cool and the same illuminated Bentley font you had on the front and the same speed logo on the door sill I also like. you had in front, there is no DEC content for the rear passengers like there is in many other cars, now you come back here and the first thing you discover is huge, you have a huge amount of space back here, you can basically lie down, there is a lot of space, these Cars are used in some places as chauffeur-driven vehicles and, sitting here, you understand why it is huge and comfortable, and there are some very interesting quirks.
We'll start with this screen here in the center of the back, you can see. it's a screen that allows you to adjust various things, which is pretty cool, but the nice thing is that you can take it out of its place, press this eject button and then it's handed to you, it comes out and it's handed to you, you pick it up and then you can use it like a tablet in the back and can control all sorts of different things such as the front and rear climate control temperature. You can control it from this car.
You can also turn on the heated seats, cooled seats, and even the rear seats. By massaging the seats that this car has not only in the front but also in the back, you can also adjust the navigation destination here or change the music, the song we are listening to and you can even see the car's trip information, the speed current, how many miles we go. You've traveled with all those things that you can monitor like the rear passenger sitting here with your tablet and when you're done you basically just put it back where you found it, the magnet puts it back in place and then it goes back to its place in front to the rear seats it's pretty interesting now beyond all that, let's talk about more controls here specifically, the seat controls that you can see are mounted on the rear doors and you can adjust the bottom of the seat, its position is the backrest, even the electrically operated headrest. for the rear seats and there is even seat memory back here memory settings for the rear seats that are rarely seen in vehicles back here it also has a center seat in the middle so there are three cross seats but no one notices.
You'll never sit in this center seat because of the giant hump in the floor for the transmission and the outstanding climate control. Vents and little storage cubbies, so forget about the middle seat passenger and fold down the center bin and you'll reveal some cool stuff, like the number one cup holders up front that you get too. an armrest here, of course, and you can open it up and you'll get a storage compartment here and USB power ports and cigarette lighter style power ports where you can charge your devices sitting in the back of your Bentle. It's also worth noting that you can adjust the Sunshades back here, this switch panel on the roof allows you to open or close the rear sunroof sunshade, but there are more sunshades than that inside your tablet.
There is a control for the sunshades on the rear windows. You can see them closing now. You can also keep them open and there is a sunshade on the rear window, you can also configure it however you want, you can close them all if you want to protect yourself from the sun and also from the commoners outside your Bentley. Some other luxury is also worth noting here. touches, you have mirrors that fall from the ceiling so you can open them and look at yourself. You also have pillows in the headrests of the seats, not just normal headrests, but luxurious pillows where you lie down, put your head and they feel so wonderful and comfortable and I love this pattern on the door this leather diamond pattern looks so cool and so unique and good, it's probably not leather, it's probably the dynamic material I mentioned before, eco-friendly, environmentally conscious and beautiful, you couldn't tell. it's not leather, it looks great and finally we move on to the trunk in the Flying Spur, which isn't really that noticeable except that it's completely lined with mats, the trunk lid, the top, the sides, all carpeted, so Whatever you have back here doesn't get damaged by hitting something.
You also have a 12-volt outlet back here, which is good for practicality, and a small step into the back seat, which is good for your skis if you want to go skiing in your Flying Spur. After all, with all-wheel drive, you can hit the slopes and then get back in your car, put them in the passenger compartment and have snow everywhere, no one will do it, but it's there if you want to drive the speed of the Flying Spur well and I have to say that I mentioned before that this is one of my favorite gasoline powertrains of all time.
It might be my favorite. I love the way the W2 feels and when it's inside the Bentley it just magnifies how great it is because this car is so wonderful and so Quiet, luxurious and relaxed, you combine everything, this incredible powertrain and the incredible luxury of this car, and it's really something special, so let's talk about the driving experience here. What's so great about this car is that this powertrain is simply the The way it feels when you accelerate, many cars are fast, but this powertrain, more than any other I've driven, is not only fast, but It gives you that feeling of speed that is fantastically wonderful, this kind of whistle.
They push you from behind from all sides, that's what it feels like, like there's something pushing you forward like a strong wind, it basically feels, oh, it's so good, it offers speed so well, it has so much torque, it's a acceleration so smooth. and it's not crazy, angry and frantic, oh my god, I love it, I love this powertrain, it's so good and it's a shame it's gone, but I mean, the truth is the truth, you understand what's coming, you understand why comes, this engine lasted 20 years it first came into the Continental GT, I think it was in 2004 uh 0304, 20 years in that car and in this and many other Bentleys, the BGA, and it's just an incredible powertrain and, Over the years, they have increased performance. level and they have increased the efficiency as if the engine has improved, but it is not quite capable of living in the new world that we are in in everything in this car, it is tremendously pleasant when you are sitting here. the materials, the feel, the appearance, everything is nice and gives you that feeling of being in an elevated class compared to a normal car, so to speak, and by normal car I even include the Mercedes S-Class, the Audi A8, that kind of but I will say one thing that surprises me a little: the driving experience, aside from the powertrain.
I mean, this car is only $300,000. Is it worth it to get an amazing brand? You get an amazing powertrain and you get a lot of really nice things. materials from a comfort and luxury point of view and driving from a cloud point of view. I'm not quite sure this car is at that level now it's the speed model it's the high performance version it's not necessarily meant to be it's supposed to be sportier and more It's exciting but I have to say I'm not entirely sure that when you take the corners, this car is big, it feels big, the steering is very light, even in the tightest driving mode, it doesn't necessarily feel like a performance car. but it also doesn't necessarily feel like a definitive luxury car, what it feels like is a big cruiser or a big tourer, but I guess what I'm saying is that I'm not entirely sure the speed is worth it compared to the Flying standard.
Cheer up because this car doesn't feel dramatically more comfortable or dramatically more exciting from a steering and handling perspective. It now has the W12, which adds a lot in my opinion, but the V8 also provides excellent acceleration and technically the W12 can still be specified. on a normal Flying Spur you just have to go through the special wishes department and of course there are also many used W2s, so this car is a bit compromised. I feel like an S63 has more of a sporty touch with this car, they tried to make it both sporty and luxurious and as a result it's not the perfect example of both, but it's still a very nice car with a very nice 12 cylinder turbo that It feels super fluid.
It's just an incredible incredible powertrain. I will say that this car is very majestic, it has enormous presence. I'm amazed at the number of people who look at it and have told me about it and just driving it, I would have thought The World had gotten used to Bentley by now. The Continental GT has been the base model for years, but that doesn't seem to be the case. This car still seems to be strong. People are exciting and especially in this color people are still looking. and say wow, a Bentley and this car certainly is the Flying Spur to get if you just want to get the Ultimate model with the maximum performance and the highest level of everything, and that's the speed of the new Bentley Flying Spur, it's sad to say goodbye . the famous W2, but at least Bentley is sending it straight in a special car worthy of the special engine and now it's time to give the Flying Spur a Doug score and Doug's score is here 69 out of 100, which puts the speed of the Flying Spur Here, compared to some similar fast luxury cars.
I really love this Bentley, it's insanely expensive, sure the design is getting old, but that W12 engine is one of my all-time favorite powertrains, if not my only favorite. I'm obsessed with it and the rest of the car. It's also excellent, it's a great package, although you pay a considerable sum for it.
