2020 Shelby GT500: My Mode, My Color, My Gauges + bonus spirited driving footage & tech option

Hi everyone, I got a request for one of the videos I made recently to show how they go in and set up my

mode

on the dashboard. I'm going to show you how to set my

mode

as well as my

color

and my indicators so that the three

option

s to totally customize what you're seeing in front of you in the Shelby

gt500

20/20 right now. I'm in the garage, as you can see, it's dark outside, so we'll start the car and get it. outside and look at the lights, the inspiration lights that are in front of you and you know that not all of these functions are available when you're in accessory mode, so I have to put the car in drive and if you didn't know how to turn it on. car in accessory mode instead of putting your foot on the brake and pressing the start button, that's how you start this car normally, you just press the start button without your foot on the brake and that makes the car look like the old one . style, turn the key for a D-10 and get an accessory mode.

Now put your car in accessory mode and you can select a lot of the different things on the dashboard, but not everything is available when the car is not there, you know when the engines are not running. so to speak, we're going to turn this thing on, take it outside in the dark and run through the different modes and

. but here we go, okay, so we have the car outside. I have it on. We are currently in normal mode with the mode switch here and I have it on a quiet exhaust so I can talk and with very little exhaust noise. now in the cockpit, but we're going to go through the screens and how to set my mode and my

color

, so this all starts with the Cobra button on the steering wheel, press that and the toggle up menu will appear.

At the top you will see my mode, press and fill in the my mode ad square and then it shows the status, so if you notice we go back to the normal indicators because that's what I had in the last option and then down. here at the bottom it says hold OK to save as my mode and then it gives us all the options so now we're in normal mode launch controls off normal suspension normal steering quiet exhaust I can talk and the advanced track is set to normal , so now just using the normal

gauges

I can change things like the suspension right here and the steering, which is on the steering wheel control button, so if I hit the suspension you'll see it says normal, I can hit it again and it goes to sport and then when you look down here and the options it says sport suspension, same thing when I press the steering option here it comes up and it says normal steering edition again and there sport steering and then in the top right corner. under the steering it says or steering right now if you look under the sport steering it says pretty exhaust so I can go down here to my exhaust lever here and when I hit it you'll see let's see if I can do this closer to you.

I will see that the change is silent, there is a normal, pleasant and noisy sports track. I'm going to press well on a steering wheel and now under the sport steering it says track exhaust, same with advanced track, traction control to toggle that option, we have a traction control to toggle to the right. Down here I can hit back and you'll see an advanced attempt to disable the control. I'm going to press OK and now while I'm setting my mode, this is what will be default, so right now I could press and hold the button. OK button on the steering wheel that's right here and I can lock it as my mode, so I'm going to hold it down and it says save and save, there it is and it's saved now as I cycle through the different modes down here.

The different

driving

modes you will see my mode, I set them to be sporty. I didn't get a chance for the

gauges

to change. There's a track and you'll see a drag strip that's the same diameter at the top and slippery that goes back to basically traditional or normal gauges and then we're in normal mode and you can see all the options in the middle we've got drive launch controls normal out of normal suspension. I guess that's the Magna with normal steering, normal exhaust and advanced track. it's normal so when I talk a little longer to go to my mood right there you can see all those options that we have preset it says for trackies just see manual and right now we have sports suspension that we select through a sports steering I have track exhaust and In fact this truck returned to normal.

I guess that didn't save, but we'll play with different settings. I like the sporty gauges set up, so I'll hit the Cobra button again. I'm going to go to my mode and let's see toggle my show status mode and now I'm going to toggle modes here to show me the normal sports indicators. My sport Mon is okay, so there's our sport indicators and if you see at the bottom here it still says humor. and closer still it says hold down okay save is my mode so we're going to set up all these options right now so now we're in sport let's see, Sport Suspension, Sport Steering and Sport Exhaust.

I'm going to press the escape button. Down here to change that to track and we want to track there is track. I'm going to press the OK button on the steering wheel. That option changed and the advanced track is in sport mode, which gives you a little more wiggle room than normal and, by the way, advanced track. track when you're in track mode it says advanced tracking off but that's not true it just gives you a lot more side shout ability but it's still there if you completely lose your form so to set this up this is how which I set up my mode earlier and I'm going back to that, so we have the gauge cluster at the top in the sport launch controls disabled, but you can still use the launch control and drag strip mode.

We have sport suspension, sport steering, track exhaust and The advanced track is set to sport mode, so I'm going to press and hold the OK button on the steering wheel and that's going to walk in this as my mode, so I'm going to press the key Hold right now and you'll see at the bottom it saves so now as I switch between the modes down here, you'll see its sport because it's the same gauge cluster setup and then we go to the track where you can see the big TAC on the top, oh, okay, just get rid of that. message and then we switch to the drag strip which looks very similar but allows you to just do launch control or right now the launch is not available because we are in the parking lot, but the drag strip is the one that locks the changes at 7500. rpm and allows you to use launch control by putting your left foot on the brake and your right foot on the accelerator and then we'll go through slippery that goes back to your normal gauge cluster and we'll take one more lap to normal.

This is basically the start of the round robin menu and then we should see our saved My mode with the sports gauge cluster right there. This is for track use only because we have it on the track exhaust, that's how you set up a My. mode, so again, just to reiterate, press the Cobra button, you enter my mode at the top, you meet Kay in a my mode ad and then it shows the status and then you basically select options like, first of all, you would like The set would measure the group you want by changing the modes, then you can change this suspension steering exhaust and then press and hold OK to save it and now take a look at my colors, which after pressing the OK button on the steering wheel of my color you will have a primary color and a secondary color so the primary color will be set to orange and then the secondary color will be set let's see we will set it to blue and then you hit again and there we have blue orange okay. now let's press the button, we will enter my color, ok, let's try to create my color.

I'm going to press OK and then in the left circle they are number one. I'm dialing basically down and you can see here, let me get a little bit closer with this, you can see the color wheel spinning there as I'm toggling, so let's go to something in the purple range or so let's have that one. I'm going to press OK and the number two that we have toggling up this time. go clockwise, I should try it, I'm going to be green, I'm going to press, okay, my color three, now we can go to yellow, how's that salesman?

I'm just running random colors to see how they work. It's okay? get out of that now we have my color one, two and three. I'm going to go to the primary color. Okay, and I'll select my color. One for the primary color. That's the purple one. I just created the secondary color. I am going to go to. my color too and that's the green that I just created so I'm going to go back and there's purple and green and again we had that my color three that we could use for someone to press the cobra button on the steering wheel my color primary color come on go to me color three and get that yellow back which brings me to the gauge cluster that shows the different colors so yeah this digital dashboard is fabulous you can set up a wide range of almost unlimited different color combinations to see anything.

You like it, but you know that I am very tidy, especially at night. I'm going to turn off the light here, so I turned on the overhead lights right now so you can see, but here we go, at night, kind of a neat light placed there, okay? one will be how to configure the core indicators. I changed my colors back to primary, I think it was red, secondary, blue or vice versa, and we're going to press the Cobra button on the idler wheel which will take me to my The options here are fine and then I'm going to toggle down on the steering wheel. to configure my meters.

This is the option I have. I already have three X's and you can only have three, so right now because I have three, these others are. kind of faded out if you get a little bit closer so you can see better so right now I have fuel air so I'm going to deselect fuel air and you'll see the other ones turn white as options because I only have two so I just I like that one, now I can select coil temperature or cylinder head temperature, engine oil pressure, engine oil temperature, I already have the intake air temperature preset as one of my gauges.

I could do manual charge temperature, transmission oil temperature, vacuum boost, which I had already selected, and voltage, so let's select three different ones here that didn't have a selection before, so I only had the last three. I have voltage and vacuum boost trans temp and I actually had that selected, let me select a different one here. so there's a multi loading tab, hopefully, I'm holding up this camera so you can see it and then I'm going to go out to the back, which is this, you know, on the left side here out and that's going to take me back to my age group so I can see the indicators that I selected and there are all three now, if I only selected two, let's go back to the indicators, calculate my indicators, I will deselect one of them and if I go back now I just have to show there and in fact, if I wouldn't have, if I don't select any of them, I deselect all of these.

I will NOT have any indicators in the middle like this, it will be a clean slate. Personally, I like running, no. I don't take the settings, set the meters. I like the air fuel ratio to change to intake air temperature and the last one is the vacuum boost and there are my three gauges that I have selected and the colors that I have selected, so those are my gauges actually. This is my mode, my colors and my indicators. Now that we have the three indicators shown in the middle, we will show our different options. It is not always necessary to have the indicators in the middle.

Again, this is just for you. Meet an LCD computer screen so you have options of what's displayed there, but on the right side of your steering wheel, right here you have your thumbs up, exit the main Return button, your voice activated message and then you have up. up and down switches so let's see what happens when I get up and down shifts so now those are my gauges I press up and there's my lateral G as well as braking acceleration and it looks like I've had 1.05 braking. and 0.89 acceleration 0.57 to the left and point four six to the right.

I can press and hold to reset this. I'm going to leave it there, so I'm going to continue to show you different options, so I toggle up one more time. the steering wheel on the right side here and now is more of a digital readout versus the gauge, you know, the analog gauges of what I've selected, it actually gives me, let's say, a MC temperature te.
