this

epic beast from Cadillac. Now to begin. Here on the outside, I have to say that Cadillac mostly hides

performance

under this luxurious body. There aren't actually many differences from the Platinum model we saw last year, but the grille is finished in this signature black mesh like other V models. As for the headlights, of course, they are all-LED with daytime running light and the Cadillac features turn signal that extend toward the front. As for the rest of the styling, it still looks very long, low and sleek like any CT-6, but there are a few unique elements that set the V apart, one of them being this carbon fiber spoiler and then the other four are the quad exhaust outlets that emit that spectacular sound.

More Interesting Facts About,

2020 cadillac ct6 v this blackwing v8 is a performance monster...

So overall I have to say that I really like the exterior of this car as it is simultaneously stylish and aggressive. Now, one aspect of the design that I haven't mentioned yet are the wheels. They're very nice 20-inch multi-spoke alloys, but there are two other simpler options for around $2,000 extra. As for the tires. they are high-performance summer tires, and we have also specially developed four-piston Brembo brakes and then we come back to the mirrors. We get all the goodies as standard equipment, including heating, auto dimming, and blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert. But anyway, the outside is not what you came for.

So let's get into the cabin before we do the important part of getting this Blackwing on the road. Now, obviously, as Cadillac's flagship sedan, you have its smart entry system, as well as its typical metal support. integrated who you start with And then in typical Cadillac style to get into the vehicle, there's no sense that Ryan has a handle So you just press this little button. Alright. Take a look at the interior of the CT6V, as you can see it mostly has these The same interior as these standard CT6s. However, there are some touches unique to this Model V.

Now, one thing you should know about this vehicle right off the bat is that it comes practically fully loaded. There really aren't many options you have. However, one of the options you can choose is the interior color. There are two options: it will be jet black or this color, which is called Dark Auburn. Obviously they are real leather seats and then all CT6V models will come with carbon fiber interior trim. Now moving on to the details of the doors, it's obviously very good. equipped You get leather throughout the armrest area, as well as above and on top of the door trim.
You get a little more of that carbon fiber trim. Nice real aluminum door handle. The four windows are automatic with a single touch and you have memory seats for two people. Now on the CT6 they have Mercedes style door mounted seat controls. This is for seats with sixteen-way power adjustment and four-way lumbar support. There, just by touching the seat, the leather feels very high quality. I've always loved the way Cadillac designs the seats with really unique stitching detail. When it comes to its cabin materials, like Cadillac's flagship sedan, you of course now have a very good selection throughout the upper dash.
This is finished and it's a nice leather material with stitching details that fall down to the middle here. a big piece of carbon fiber trim, as well as this perforated leather material that runs through here. You have soft touch materials that fall through this area. And then, as you can see, everything fits together very well, of course, and you have more. carbon fiber trim over there But now, let's get to the part you really came for Just listen to that, it's already amazing, but refocusing here again on the interior What you're looking at are Cadillac's twelve point three inch premium gauges Fully reconfigurable. just make adjustments right here with the buttons on the steering wheel.
So you can adjust both left and right side. We can also jump to our settings here and you can even change the entire layout if you want. Right now, obviously, it's in performance mode, but you can go to a more classic design if you prefer that, as you can see, with really cool animations and stuff like this or it's one of the best at doing reconfigurable gauges in the business. Now, on top of that, you'll also have a front-facing display, of course. , it's fully adjustable and you can just press the little info button and it can switch between different things, including a Racecar style tech gauge, which is really cool.
Now, coming back to the steering, you have electric power steering. Obviously, the steering wheel is leather. wrapped. It's heated and here you have the carbon fiber finish with Cadillac's newest design. Rain-sensing wipers will be standard on this model, as will a fully power-adjustable steering wheel. What I like most is that we have complete magnesium. paddle shifters, so just listen to that real metal. It's obviously lovely to play. Now obviously interior storage isn't a big focus of this car, but the ct-6 has a lot. So you open this center console here on the side. Then once inside you can see that there is a nice line area about the size of a Segway and it feels great.
It has a USB Type A and a USB Type C. And then, right over here, this is the charging pad for your wireless phone. So here's a phone that I like and you can slide it in and out without having to open it. This is the newest fast charging method here. It's been updated. And then under the carbon fiber, of course, you have two cups. Now look at these shifters here, this is Cadillac's updated electronic shifter. So it's actually quite simple to use, just pull back to drive. You can go back one more time. to enter manual mode.
That's where you can shift with those cute shift paddles. From reverse, you simply go all the way to the front so you don't have to go sideways and up like you've had to do in other Cadillac models and then when you do. You'll notice the standard 360-degree camera system activates. I have complimented General Motors vehicles in the past for this and will continue to do so. This is one of the best 360-degree cameras in the business, very, very clear. You have both 360 cameras and obviously do a normal view with Rectory accurate, so you have a bunch of views down here that you can just switch between, we have kind of a front and back view, a 360 degree view and then also you can see the sides.
You don't scrape these beautiful tires against a sidewalk or anything like that. And then to bark, all you have to do is simply press the P at the top of the gear lever. You also have an electronic parking brake there and then the brake. The function is located right here. Now while I'm here, you'll notice this button labeled modes, of course these will be your driving modes, as you would expect. We have Sport and Touring snow and ice tracks and as you can see that updates the layout accordingly just to remind you what mode you are in because it makes a big difference in driving dynamics. a little bit later, but it changes the torque split of this all-wheel drive system quite dramatically depending on what mode you're in and then versus that.
You will find the volume knob for the surround sound system with standard Bose panaray 34 speakers. That's an incredible amount of speakers. But anyway, we'll go ahead and take a sample of that right now. Well, I must say that the sound quality is one of the best sound systems I have ever experienced. I also want to point out that this speaker right here This actually goes in and out of the dash when you start the vehicle. It's a really cool touch. I love when cars do that. This really makes things feel a lot more special down here.
We have our dual-zone automatic climate controls, so set them like this. It also has standard three-stage heating and three-stage ventilation with separate backup and insect controls like most General Motors vehicles. Okay, and then up here we have I have the newest version of the Cadillac UI or Q system. You have a couple of physical buttons here, in addition to the virtual buttons now. Obviously, the focus of this car is on performance and not things like this. So I won't do it. I spent a lot of time on this. But it has standard navigation. This is the newest design from General Motors.
So you have live traffic and updates as you can see it is also very responsive. You also get standard Apple Carplay and Android Auto, of course, if you prefer to use them. We have very detailed dedicated technology. Help video available For those of you who want to learn more about the system, a link to that video is provided in the description now. Heading up you'll find General Motors' standard rearview camera system here. So obviously you just hit that switch and it removes all the obstructions and gives you a very, very high quality camera feed. And then as you turn right here, you'll notice that everything in this car is standard.
You get a standard panoramic sunroof. It's basically a dual panel setup. You can simply slide this front panel back. It opens as usual and anyway, guys, let's wrap up all the features to look at in the front of the cabin. So now we'll go ahead and go into the back and check out those features. Now, taking a step back here. Obviously, the door trim has the same high-quality materials as the front. So you have leather on all of these parts, as well as the real carbon fiber trim. But we also have a parasol here, so let it go like this.
You also noticed that you have controls for the rear panel, rent the sunroof so you can open and close the sunshade and then you have one too. That's back there for the rear window in case the sun shines on the back of your neck. Now as an executive sedan. You are obviously going to have a lot of features. So this area here is beautifully represented. You have this beautiful panoramic or speaker grill and I didn't mention it before. But here are the controls for your heated seat so you have separate settings for the butt and backrest. right there Now, as far as legroom goes, this is obviously a large executive style sedan.
So I have plenty of room to fully stretch out. I'm five three or sorry. Excuse me, five eight. This is my sitting position. I probably have about a foot and a half of legroom here. However, I don't have any official number because Cadillac hasn't released it yet. As for other features back here, we can lower our center console. We have some storage inside, with a nice felt lining of course. You also get some cup holders at the end of this. Now it hangs here near the trunk. This is a fully electric hands-free, it's not a door, so just kick your foot under there.
Now once. Again, like the rear areas, I don't have official dimensions, but as a giant limousine like a sedan, we have plenty of room. However, it's worth noting that the seats don't fold, you'll have to make do with just that center step. No, here in our passenger side seat, it's exactly the same as the driver's seat. So you still have the 16-way adjustment to the four-way lumbar support and two-person memory seats. Checking the glove compartment here. It's a nice size, cushioned, lit, and lined. Anyone who comes up here we obviously have a sun visor with a mirror light.
It separates and also extends outwards. Alright, that will wrap up the whole cabin. So now let's get to the fun part. Let's get this boss on the road. Well, before we take off, I want to give you some specifications. Because this engine is phenomenal. So what we have is the branding of the Black Winged series. New Cadillac-exclusive 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 550 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque, absolutely incredible numbers. Like I said, this is not used in any other General Motors product and is actually hand built at the Corvette Assembly Plant here in Kentucky and Bowling Green.
So it's great. It even has signature AMG products, but in this case it was built by a man named Todd here in Kentucky. So it's really great. As for its transmission, which is a 10-speed automatic and we have standard all-wheel drive. Now, depending on the drive mode you select, the torque split changes dramatically. Therefore, by default, in Touring mode it will be 60%. rearward, 40% of the power towards the front. When you go into sport it will be 80% rearward and then when you go into track mode 95% of the power will be sent rearward. Finally, regarding your fuel. Economy is not a strong point of this vehicle.
You don't expect it to be, of course. So are you seeing 14 City 25 Highway 17 combined? What considering that this category of vehicle is a sedan that is affected by a gasoline excise tax, at the end of the video? I'll tell you how much that is. But anyway, it's enough with all the numbers. Let's move on and hit the road. Alright guys, now it's time for the part we've all been waiting for. Believe me. We always do the test drive in the last part of the video. It's been unbearable just doing all the boring parts. I just desperately wanted to get this out on the street as soon as possible, but now we're on the road here.
So this is very exciting, Mason is going to miss it today. He already had other plans arranged, we had the day off, so to speak. Then I got the news that this was here. So when a car like this arrives, you're not going to waste your time, you know, this is a very rare vehicle. So I know there are already interested parties and they bought this, so we had to get out here and get a review before someone catches it. beast Holy shit The power is crazy I'm speechless you'll probably say it I don't even know what to say Like he just came so hard he just pushed you.
Beck's 600+ pound-feet of torque will do that. It's just incredible and then you know, it really reduces the power. With the all-wheel drive system. Whoo, and that sound, that sound, that sound. It just sounds like a beautiful sounding engine in America. I don't even have to go fast just to enjoy the power delivery and sound of this one. Although many times I'm really impressed by the refinement of this engine, you know, something so big and powerful. You know, it would be really visceral and harsh. It's actually a very smooth engine. It definitely feels very typical of a luxury flagship sedan like this, you know, it sure sounds very macho and you know, tough and burly, but at the same time it has a very refined power delivery.
Holy Cow. Oh my God, it's just It's crazy. It reminds me. The closest thing I've driven that I can think of is the Mercedes AMG GT 63. It's similar in character to that where you just have a big, giant, wonderful-sounding V8. It was crazy power, crazy torque. You know, I just and you barely understand it. You just push your face back Yes, of course, and based on the specs, it looked like it would be an amazing vehicle. But you always have to try something in person to be sure. But I must say that it lives up to all my expectations and then something feels exactly like a great flagship Cadillac should be.
Now we're moving down the road, we're doing about fifty miles an hour right now. Go ahead and talk about the handling of the vehicle and one of the really enjoyable aspects. The good thing about it is that it has magnetic ride control and drives very, very comfortably. That's why I was saying that it looks like everything a flagship should be and that's part of it because it's still very comfortable. This is a great luxury sedan, you know, this is not harsh, you know, you won't go down the road rattling your teeth and hurting your spine. I am an absolute comfort right now.
And when you drive normally, like I'm doing now, you know it's very quiet. So just going around town you don't have to have all the noise if you don't want it. You have that 34-speaker Panaray sound system. I'd rather listen to the engine, but it's an amazing sound system. Also, I'm going to go ahead and put it in manual mode. Try those paddle shifters. Like I said, this has a 10-speed automatic transmission. So I was actually traveling down the highway here and even here at only 54 miles per hour. So, you know, you have a lot of transmission gears, but I don't.
I don't even notice when it changes. You know, so it's certainly not a confusing transmission, so the junior motors do a very good job with their 10-speed automatic transmission. a little slower to respond to paddles than I would like. Just half a second, you accelerate very quickly. So you kind of get a little or late change to compensate for that. Go ahead and put it in sport mode which will change the power distribution. It will also improve the sound. It seems like there really are a lot of curves. We're in town, of course, but we're just driving around one, so I might as well talk about it there.
It's really amazing that something so big can move so well, you know, it just doesn't. Even certain cars you're in look okay. It just blows your mind But anyway, I'm going to go ahead and conclude Because the GoPro is probably about to fall off in a matter of seconds since it's already been stuck there for about five minutes. Wow, that's really the best way to do it. I can sum this car up. It's amazing to have so much performance, so much power and so much luxury all rolled into one thing. It's crazy. Is it really you.
Now, of course, this is a very exclusive vehicle. Therefore, you would expect nothing less than a very exclusive price and, indeed. It has one. So what you'll see is a starting price of ninety-one thousand seven hundred and ninety-five dollars now. Like I said, it comes pretty much fully loaded, but there is a package that you can add and we have That's the driver assistance package. And then in the options category, they have a gas guzzler tax. I've never seen any tax that is optional so I don't know why it's in that category but it will be $1300 and then I have some all weather mats for a $9,995 destination and that will bring the total to ninety seven thousand three hundred eighty dollars.
Obviously, that's a very, very expensive price. Although you are talking about a vehicle that probably produces less. than a thousand in your life, honestly
