I was wrong about everything, thank you and enjoy the movie, you know? Actually, I'm not sure. I should bother to make an introduction to this car or even tell you something about it. Just look at it, it's a very nice car, so this is a

jaguar

xk8 or x100 as a code name, we will have it as the spiritual successor to the e-type and the xj st of the 70s, in fact, a first To replace the from Jaguar and Aston Martin, which this and the db7 have only just begun to take shape now, unusually, the The design work actually began before the development work, so in late 1991 designer Geoff Lawson began drawing this very, very pretty shape.

There is a misconception that Ian Callum drew both this and the Aston db7 below. Geoff Lawson designed this and Ian Callum did the db7 and it's interesting. how similar both are considering the car foundation work started six months later in 1992 after the drawing work started now the design stage only took a year or was approved at the end of 1992 and the design in reality was frozen in place during 1993, although development work on the machine beneath the beautiful skin continued until 1996 and the cars were finally revealed to the public in

More Interesting Facts About,

1997 jaguar xk8 goes for a drive...

This car is for sale at Sussex Classics right now. Give them a call and visit their website which is linked below, this interior is pure Jaguar and pure 90's. Bought the amazing wood, you have the thick leather everywhere and of course being a Jackie we have their huge center console here with the J Gate shifter and being a The '90s car is very curvy, you have soft organic shapes that flow into each other and of course because for that 1990 Jagger you have a lot of black plastic switches that are a Double-edged sword, on the one hand, oh. no, they're black plastic switches, not chrome metal or anything else you get on a Jaguar, oh yeah, no, it's a Ford, so you know what works, and the thing is, the moment you get in in the coal, I'll give you the car keys, you realize you're driving something Ford related because this key is a bit unusual to look at by today's standards, but if you had seen any counterfeit ones from a Fiesta to a Scorpio Granada back in the day the '80s or late '80s and early '90s, you'd notice.

I've seen one of these and apparently there were only about seven key designs, so it's really used to Nick allowing himself a point where I talk about whether it's true or not, and it was a story that was going around at the time and although there was only one chassis and engine combination until the supercharged car came out in 1998, there were two trim levels so it was only aimed at younger buyers trying to get people into a jankier for the first time, which was half leather with centers and a little less toys and, in addition, there is this one, which is the classic, which has leather everywhere.

I mean, you would think that if I could do that, the door handles probably would have, you have what looks like a leather upper, but in fact, you know, I'm actually not sure if this is really glued leather or if It is plastic rubber of very, very, very good quality. I googled it and pasted something below. I can't tell, but you can tell the center console surround is leather. The glove box is made of leather. the steering wheel is leather and wood, the door cards are there, with a little carpet over the speakers, this armrest is leather, the seats are leather, the headliner is beautiful, soft, leather, so Yes, and there everything that is not leather is wood. this beautiful, delicious wood this beautiful walnut veneer panel here on the fake, although I make a move, although if that hit you in the face, if you had the frontal impact, it would hurt quite a bit the walnut center section, the steering, the

drive

r's section, walnut around the Actually, the gear lever and door insert a darker wood for some reason.
I wonder if there was an option on the board and it is standardized in the middle. I don't know anyway, let's do it left to right or right to left as it is. So starting with the doors, these are big and well padded, leather lined, just the top section is like an artificial material so it's sturdier if you put your elbow on there, it won't wear through the leather. You've got these beautiful chrome door handles that curve elegantly and I have to verbally state the seating positions too, so memorize one and two, so power seats with memory are a win.
Next you have your two electric windows, sometimes you see that it is a kupo, so you only have two windows open, the rear ones. They are fixed in place and the electric mirrors of course, curiously you don't notice it at first inside the felt and leather grab handle, there is actually a rubber face and there is a smaller one on the top and a larger one on the back. the front which just gives you a bit of storage for small items which is actually a pretty good size for a phone and that sort of thing but that's the effect the padding has it's so bulky it's actually a bit intrusive.
Also worth noting are the Harman Kardon tweeters, this is a premium product so you have multiple speakers and in-dash speakers in the door, you have speakers in the lower door and they also have a large subwoofer in the parcel shelf , so the steering wheel is of very good quality, the steering wheel is magnificent. which does not allow you to forget your energy because you have a large irregular face in the center. Interestingly, there are only two car companies that present an animal's face frontally towards you, you know, ten seconds to guess where they are. genuine dodge, it is generally considered too aggressive and unpleasant for customers to have such an aggressive face coming towards you, but dodge and dodge when the other way they wanted their aggression, so here you have Jag's face snarling at you embossed in leather. like I said, it's leather and wood, so it's a very nice tactile thing to use.
There's also a multifunction steering wheel, so you have cruise control on the right and audio controls on the left. their stalks for indicator lights and wipers, which are basically high-end Fords. I'm not sure how far we got in the range, I may have even turned up at parties, but they were definitely in things like the high-end Sierras and the Granada. a more modern vehicle, we have many air vents everywhere, the vintage is superior, we have a small curve there, then to the left, multiple air vents in the center and up next to the windshield, a button to electronically release the fill made out of fuel. and the boat also I just opened the trunk by mistake I didn't mean to do that but curiously you have a button marked valet now valet it's because this is a car for posh people with money who go to discos and restaurants and clubs, I mean, like a country club, not a doosh doosh doosh at the morning club, if you give the keys to someone in valet mode you can't get away, what's the plan anyway, the dials themselves are actually really recessed into this.
The dashboard is not that big, but yes, you have a speedometer in the center that

goes

up to 170, the car is limited to 255, artificially you have the tachometer on the left, which

goes

up to the red line. The red line starts at six thousand seven hundred fifty and the dial stops at seven and a half. I'm not quite sure exactly how far away the motor would prefer to be, let's not try that today. Fuel gauge, which being a four-liter V8 is usually on. to be in the lower half and a temperature gauge, we are not so loaded with information that we do not need and on the center panel we have three more oil dials, which is without reading the book, I don't know if it's pressure or temperature I think It's temperature, we have a clock in the center, I'm going to use a voltmeter, which I think is useful to have something nice, it's kind of a throwback to previous cars, which is an essential thing that you shouldn't use.
It's not really necessary on a 90's carburetor, it's very nice to have it right in the top left corner of the year, the little

drive

r's panel, it's divided into three main sections, there's a little trip computer, gubbins, it looks a bit like a actually, but it sent it is circular and recessed with four buttons it's all quite cryptic a B it's a multi-trip and often leaves it has a large airbag panel behind the hood and a reasonably sized glovebox actually with a charger Nokia phone well, it's a bit of a throwback, I'm sure you've seen it, I'm sure you've been screaming, talk about the phone because it has a phone and Motorola International 2200, this is from the days when installing a It was something very expensive.
In one of my first jobs they supplied us all with an orange Nokia digital mobile phone and a car kit. The car kit was actually worth more than the companion brand. I had it installed and it came with a telephone because obviously it could. while driving, take notes on your knees using the speakerphone, but since it wasn't socially unacceptable at the time, it was considered okay to chat and drive on your car phone. Yeah, I'm talking on the phone in the car, it's not that cool. 20 years ago it wasn't cool anymore so this is kind of a relic but absolutely fun and I love it, besides being a fantastic Motorola car phone you also have most of your buttons, you have the top half dedicated to your settings comfort, your heating, ventilation, heated or cooled seats, all that kind of stuff, there are a lot of buttons, an LCD screen, you can choose recirculation in degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit, all the defrosting functions, but it throws you in the middle of all the ones you have in the front and back. fog lights and headlight leveling so yeah I guess no rush to do it now we have the radio built in it is a DIN radio as standard but it is a bit curved and slightly integrated into the shape of the dash to make it fit a bit. better and of course if the jeg 8jq is a trademark automatic transmission with a coin holder and a little hole for literally I don't know what three sweets, maybe two will count as originals as far as I can tell, right in front of that's what we're behind.
I have two sport modes with a button for the gearbox. Should Murray go, well that says the car doesn't actually have a manual. Oh, and finally here's the nicely cushioned leather-covered ashtray for your candy wrappers, having it in your three words. as originals, you can put your wrappers here and of course finally on the front we have AHA. I knew it looked like a cubicle, but even better than that it has the tape holders because there's a cassette player here and it's 1996 so the cassettes are still a Yeah, what are the six cassettes to keep them from rattling in there and a little space in front?
I was expecting to find that there isn't much room in the back there, but we'll take a look anyway and this car falls. The category of cars I'm not going to try to get into in the back because looking at this foot area here, I don't even have any other boots under the chair because there's a solid chair almost immediately there, there's no room for my feet. This is basically what they call it 2+2, so they all have very small seats with seat belts and it's all really good for the kids. There's actually an option called Jag Boot which extends the boot area forward and simply eliminates the rear seat completely, which is a carryover from the old XJ, it's actually a pretty sensible thing to do because unless you're determined to put some small children there and make them suffer, it doesn't make much sense that it looks pretty, but it's bigger. the boots are quite a bit more useful, so in the back you actually have a very shallow cubby, a couple of our speakers, a small courtesy light and a couple of coat hooks, so you won't lose anything by getting rid of the back seat now where is this car.
Mine I think would definitely go for that jag boot option, the center section above the spare wheel is lowered and there are little areas on the left but the right side has a CD changer so you've lost that space for the multiple changer. and it really only ends here, so you don't have much space. I'm considering they are selling this car to the game of golf. Now on the plus side of this trunk, you have a light on each side, so you have good lighting, but you don't have a bucket in the trunk. ThatStrange that a car of this nature is not a cheap car.
The noise of this engine is simply divine. It's interesting the moment you start it up and get it going. It locks itself on most rides, it's a 10 mile per hour thing, so this is interesting for regular scones. It is also worth mentioning that the steering wheel goes off and breaks or not, the steering wheel can break only with the handbrake in a strange position on the right side of the driver's seat. Not many cars understand that there is a rollback. Now I'm working hard not to use phrases like creamy and silky, but this v8 is creamy and silky, so I failed the first sentence about how to drive the car.
These home controls are actually quite easy to use. Use it even though they are scattered incredibly illogically. You have the screen in the center. You actually turn the dial and for the power of the fans, which is pretty cool, then you have the AC button and the Auto button on the far right and the research button on the left, but then you have the D function buttons lost in a row, it's kind of logical, but it's like we have multiple buttons. Can we put them all there? Yeah, I guess, and that's pretty much what they did now.
It must be said that this car for all its power, poise and beautiful design is really more of a GT than a sports car. The Aston is sportier than this one with a manual gearbox. It's delicious to drive. I must say that it is really nice and the suspension is relatively sporty. You know, you could probably have a It's a little rough on some back roads, but it has that nice slightly old-school smoothness that makes it quite comfortable rather than shaking me hard and dynamically excellent. It is not a car intended to set laps. times around the Nurburgring, although it would be an epic car to drive to the Nurburgring, do a couple of laps and come home, it would be fine, it just wouldn't be insanely fast, it's interesting for the power, but because this is normally a turbocharged aspirated robin, the delivery is very different it's a nice linear power delivery across the power range and when you step on the accelerator you get a lovely lovely ross the series really lights up the wheels on this car they are absolutely huge but you don't feel any of that weight or mass on them, it's just a wonderfully light, nice and precise steering system all over that long hood.
It is a little difficult to place the noses. Sometimes this car comes with supercharged 18-inch wheels as standard. The versions were 19, there was also the 20 inch option if you really wanted to push the boat and go for massive alloys and massive rubber that would look really cool on this thing that's a strain on the brakes, come on. It was incredible. Adding 50 miles now and that's about four or five seconds, zero to 60 in this car is six point four seconds, which is fast by today's standards, so 20 years ago when this came out it was insanely fast , it was rival to things like Mercedes CL Porsche 911 and Maserati coupe ace this was a really fast and expensive car and today it's still fast, it's just less expensive.
This one is on sale for, I think, seven and a half thousand pounds that Sussex classics can buy. row p1 for that four grand, maybe even less, but with the expense of fixing up a dodgy Jaguar, you don't want to buy it because you'll spend twice as much trying to turn it into an acceptable car, while buying a nice one like this. for seven and a half and you're sitting, you know, sitting in a clover, I think that's the phrase because everything works, this engine is beautiful and creamy, all the electrical systems seem to work as they should, I think it even just didn't work.
On this car I'm not sure the color name is on this. I will appear on the screen below. It looks like the rover's night fire red. I don't know what the deal was with Land Rover in 1996. I think there were 79 red ones. just with a different name, but the design is so beautiful, so sinuous and wavy that I could happily sit with this on my driveway or even in my living room and just look at it, it's funny, it's a car I never thought of using. house must fall in love with a 90's Jag . -type of styling, so they moved away, they were in a completely different direction, they went for a GT Cruiser instead of a sports car which that e type had really become the three series and they had a sharp 70 style noise to make it stand out and be cool and modern and because people who are people reacted badly I didn't like it because it wasn't what you write about but you know looking back it stood the test of time beautifully and it's a really nice piece of design work to see, while this car is a gain of its time it has the 90's look, especially the early 90's when it was designed it was all about organic curves and fluid shapes, gentle curves from nose to tail in a well into various interconnections of movements and that long hood really echoes the e type of you know the car before the car was replaced and even more the gorilla with the mouth on the front of the car just doesn't imitate there at all, certainly reminiscent of the V type in many ways, this almost bypasses the It's starting to rain unfortunately, but the Wi-Fi switch still has a lovely positive click.
I put a few minutes on the lights to have a nice clicking switch again. I'm going to go this way. In fact, everything just works. The dials work. The illumination on the dials works. He has found a bit of notoriety in film and also in dying another day onwards. Prima Auto Group, I think it was around that time and it transformed because I think Phe started in 1999, although he owned the company since 1990. I gave Bond Aniston and they gave the bad guys one of these if it's good enough to the bad guys. Good enough for me, of course, he took a bit of a dig at Austin Powers with the shag you WA, which was a convertible, one of these had the Union Jack painted on it, if you're wondering, one suddenly covered in water, his class goes out to move.
GoPros around the car and suddenly you're tilting it down, not the best conditions to be driving a 290 horsepower rear-wheel drive 4-liter V8 in the absolutely shocking rain that heats up and dries our interior. Here this cabin is just The best place to be really is these seats are a little bit higher. I think the university criticized me when it was new because the seats were a little high and I adjusted them, they can be changed electrically in about six or seven different directions and I've played with them as much as I can, but they're still a little high for me .
I'm not that tall, but the seating position is quite pleasant. I found a good place for my back and lumbar supports. It's nice that the steering wheel is leather and it feels absolutely delicious and the wood is so smooth and shiny under your fingers and of course the steering wheel itself is electrically adjustable so you can play with it to your liking and take it where you really want it. you want. It is quite unusual to have a blue backlit dial that is not a cold zone, it is a single zone air conditioning in this car, but it is air conditioning and the D mr. funk ssin seems to be doing its job pretty well.
I could seriously fall in love with this car. I'm going to make a fool of myself when I get back to the garage. I don't need a car like this. This is ridiculous because there is no space in the trunk for my equipment, there is no space for my family to get out. I think it's hard to get a car seat in the back because I've changed all the legislation and rules about car seat sizes to be another huge one. So yes, if there are coffee feet in the front and an angry wife and in the back and of course fuel economy, this test is good, the book is low 20, but if you start working and enjoying of the wonderful V8, you'll be fine doing less.
Probably less than 20 and because it's not a very economical v8, the Rotax will also be a bit steeper. I just stopped to move the cameras again and now the car completely misses it, it has a fast speed. The lost function on the front and rear window were also activated, but we certainly even activated a bird mist action. I discovered a button that I'm not going to remove from the track. I hadn't missed this before, I think the shifter was right in front when I was looking at it before, so in this 300 horsepower rear-wheel drive four-liter V8, you can turn off the traction control, which makes it makes it a fun car since it's not my car and as you can see the conditions outside right now I'm not going to do that right now now all these acres of wood and leather and padding and comfort make the real interior a little tight when you don't have a lot of room around your knees and ankles and there's not even a lot of room for your elbows, so if I were a bigger guy than I am now, if I were a bigger guy than I I really am, this might be a little awkward.
I feel spoiled more than anything else, top speed. In this car it is electronically limited to 155 miles per hour. I don't know what the actual top speed would be but in 1998 they supercharged it so the nor 260 became even faster and the top end would presumably become Tapia because later on I also bought a 4.2 liter which they also sold as aspirated normal and supercharged, which would again be even faster. I was moving the GoPros and a guy stopped me to talk about it and I told him it's just for sales. because he couldn't believe it, his jaw hit the floor, you could buy one of these cars and you could just drive it and everyone, I think you had won the lottery, even though his car is over 20 years old, it really isn't.
Look at it, don't just look at the condition, which is in very good condition, the styling hasn't really aged, it's just a stunning piece of design, the long hood and this kind of hunched hips at the back, the cockpit positioned towards back behind the hood. Making all of this is just timeless, it's just beautiful work and I don't want to give it back, it's such a nice thing to browse. I've never had a Jiang. I might be drawn to this one. although I like it a lot it's a shame it doesn't get the credit as the Aston version obviously needs to go and drive a tb7 next just to get a good comparison the indicator can definitely be afforded I'm pretty sure I heard it from my grandfather.
Granada Scorpio back in the early 90's I hope you enjoyed taking a ride with me, it's quite lovely 4 liter V8, beautiful, beautiful jankier coupe. I'm not sure how much I said for fairness, directly to buy the rain, a lot, I hope. You enjoyed it and join me next time for something completely different. See you next time.
