Jun 04, 2021
Florence, the city where the modern world began, the first time I saw this place I knew my life would never be the same. Yes, I saw a beautiful city full of famous art and stunning medieval architecture, but the history of Florence is not limited to viewing. in the famous places it is written all around you it is painted on the ancient walls it is etched on every winding cobblestone street and its rich culture lives on and its delicious food it is fabulous art and on the faces of the vibrant people who are proud to call this majestic city, its home, Florence was once the center of the civilized world and from my point of view I don't see that much has changed in that sense, so come with me as I show you what to do, where to go and what to eat. the birthplace of the Renaissance tip number one how to get around when flying to Florence has been landing at one of two airports: the larger Gallileo Gallileo International Airport and Pisa or Florence Airport, also known as Loro Ola, both airports have service from major airlines, but you're more likely to find cheap fares flying to Pisa.

If you fly to Pisa to get to the city, simply hop on the PISA engine to Pease. You should try a train station. Buy a ticket to Florence for about 10 euros. and after an hour's train ride through the Italian countryside, you'll be dropped off at Florence's main Santa Maria Novella train station, right in the heart of the city. If you fly on an Ola parrot, the cheapest way to get to the city is by tram. which goes directly from Parrot Ola to the city, but given how closer this airport is to the city than Pisa, I usually take a taxi out of sheer laziness, it takes about 15 minutes to get to the city center and costs around 25 euros . and if you come to Florence from somewhere else in Italy and take the train you will arrive at the same main train station, now it is a complicated part once you are in the city, how to get around becomes quite simple: you walk, you walk.

The next time you are in Florence don't miss the famous Ponte Vecchio, undoubtedly one of the most interesting. bridges in the world built in 1345 the bridge is full of gold shops and jewelry stores and, just as it has been since the year 1500, this bridge will be completely full at noon, so the best time to see it is right in the morning, when the shops open next door, right in front of the Ponte Vecchio or any of the bridges, you really get to the ridiculously charming Oltrarno, which means it's on the other side of the Arno River, located surprisingly on the other side of the river, this is one of my absolute sections of the city not to be missed. a super cool local neighborhood, more residential, with great cafes, much fewer crowds, great food options and attractive little winding streets.
My favorite parts of the ultra knowns are the San Frediano area and the area around the Church of the Holy Spirit. This small square is full of locals. and expats just hanging out having a beer eating and at night the area becomes lively and filled with young people who go out to the square and sit on the stairs to have a drink with friends and finally make sure to give a walk along the river and bathe. in this fascinating city tip number five where to eat this is easy and difficult throw a stone anywhere in Florence and you will surely end up hitting something incredible to eat or a person there are quite a few people I do not recommend throwing stones but like anywhere in Italy, the problem is not It's about finding a good place to eat, but narrowing down my list of places to suggest, so as always, here are some of my favorite picks, so if I left out your favorite place, which I'm sure I did, please add him. comments below, no stones please, my first stop whenever I arrive in Florence, usually immediately after dropping my bag off at the hotel, sometimes even before, is Atlanta Cove in IO, near the decadent Sea Gallery.

As much as I eat them, my two favorites are the porchetta, succulent spicy roast pork, and the fava Lassa, a sandwich with eggplant tapenade, a kind of creamy, mystical and spicy sheep's cheese, and lots of salty salami. I could eat them every day of my life and it wouldn't be a wasted life. You could invest in a treadmill and some blood thinners. The line for this place can be very long, so the best time to go is right when they open at 10:30am. m. next up is like Pizza, this isn't just my favorite pizzeria in Florence, it's one of my favorite pizza places anywhere and get it to go or sit at communal tables with strangers and eat a pizza you'll be dreaming about long after May your

Mario, a busy little place, always full of locals and hungry tourists. The pastas here are wonderful and they serve one of the best Florentine steaks. OMG I ordered that beautiful steak. Right next door is the Zaza trattoria. Next up, Zeb, the food at Zeb's is splendid.
A small joint and the altar are not run by a mother and son team, the son is admittedly a little surly, but the food is ridiculous. I love all ravioli, the meatballs are so full of flavor they don't even need sauce and the meat. filled with carrots and celery is succulent, salty and more than tender, the next territory is Braille, the flan with meat ragout and parmesan cheese was one of the most surprising and delicious things I have ever eaten, and the stuffed rabbit and the savory sauce were umami tender. and full of flavor across the river to my beloved ultra non-area host, Edea Santo Spirito, who serves some of the freshest pasta I've tried in town and her sizzling yoki is a cheesy revelation and my last two restaurants are a couple of places with very similar places.
Named trattoria Giovanni and Osteria Giovanni, some of the best food you can get in Florence is at Osteria Giovanni, not to be confused with the aforementioned trattoria Giovanni. trattoria Austria completely different things they both mean restaurant anyway, the homemade peach ragout with sausage and kale is one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten and the roast beef dishes here are really special. It's not the cheapest food in town but it's worth it and it's a perfect place for a date. I personally had a very romantic evening with myself. It sounded different in my head next to a lovely little trattoria Giovanni located in the ultra.
I know everything I've tried here is delicious and pretty affordable. Now this city is full of great ice cream, but My favorite places are Venky, which is admittedly some kind of tourist chain packed with a chocolate waterfall, but their ice cream is legit vivoli, said to be the oldest ice cream parlor in Florence. I also love the very popular Liquor Aya ice cream parlor and finally, IMHO, both. the best ice cream Ria's in town gelateria de neri and Parque no gelateria de neri have some of the creamiest and most perfect ice cream in Italy. My favorite flavors here are the heavy and long with mascarpone, which is similar to a sweet cream and unique to Florence and brown with delicious black cherries and finally we arrive at Pat's, okay, no, on a small side street near the Duomo is my Favorite ice cream parlor in Florence, all the flavors here are sensational, but my favorites are the cream and the stracciatella, so simple, so creamy, so ridiculously perfect, plus mari. and Sergio are some of the warmest people you will ever meet and there are really dozens of ice cream areas I could have included here but as a basic rule avoid the ice creams because they are piled up in giant decorative mounds, they may look appetizing but they are kind of shit, It usually just indicates that there is too much air in the ice cream and they use fake ingredients to add color and no disrespect to these places, they are still just trying to run a business but are not doing the artisans any favors. ice cream shops that put the time and energy into doing it right, so I guess a littlelack of respect, tip number six, arrived at the

fantastic

Let's start with the James Robert brand, one of my most beloved markets in Europe. On the ground floor you can buy meats and fresh artisan products. while upstairs they have a newer food court which is one of the best places to enjoy phenomenal and casual local growth, next to the san lorenzo market, a great place to buy affordable leather goods such as gloves, bags , probably some whips here for that kind of stuff and cool. affordable leather jackets, it's also a fun place to wander around and check out the many stalls. Is it one of the most visited tourist sites in all of Italy?
Yes. There is a reason for that, yes, to look at the David is to get lost in something ever greater than you can imagine. Words, videos and photos simply do not do justice to this beautiful work of art and history, if you do not visit any another museum scene, no other work of art, which would be almost impossible because there are statues literally everywhere, you must see the David. Bars, if you're not staying at a hotel with its own rooftop bar, I recommend going to the top of Agent Lorraine, which is basically just a department store, but head to the fourth floor and climb the green stairs to be greeted for one of the best. places to have a drink on the scene, another amazing place, especially at sunset, is Top of the West and Excelsior, right on the Arno river, for 25 euros you get a drink and an all-you-can-eat buffet of delicious snacks and one of the Las best views of this magnificent city and the Arno River and lastly, my favorite place to watch the sunset is simply standing on the street.
