100 Reasons Minecraft Bedrock SUCKS

Apr 12, 2024
I play Minecraft Bedrock Edition, which on paper sounds like an amazing game where you can play with your friends on any device, but in reality it is a buggy mess. I'll give you a hundred

reasons

why Bedrock Edition

sucks

, not because I hate the game but because hopefully talking about these things draws attention to them so they actually change, which brings me to reason number one: their updates every time. that the Bedrock edition is updated, you are essentially betting on whether or not it will completely break the game like the most recent update and they ended up deleting people's worlds forever, some of these people worked on their worlds for years only for them to disappear and the worst part is that they released stupid updates that fix the most random specific bugs but not the giant ones that affect everyone who plays the game like the pink bug the pink bug turns everything in

minecraft

pink if you've kept the game open long enough, It's been in the game for a long time and even though Moang has tried and claims to fix it, I've still received it. the error just a month ago now, what causes the pink fault?
100 reasons minecraft bedrock sucks
Well, that would be rendering the Dragon Minecraft Bedrocks rendering engine. I'm going to be honest, I don't really know much about rendering Dragon, but I do know that it causes a lot of problems, so while we're on the topic, here are some of them, there is a bug where it just rains on your screen, but no one more, the bottom bug is a bug that essentially crashes your game if you try to load it into a new dimension or server, you can get stuck in this loading screen purgatory and have to press Alt F4, but my favorite render dragon bug is this.

More Interesting Facts About,

100 reasons minecraft bedrock sucks...

You like going into the Multiverse and starting to hallucinate things that don't exist but then you go into them and and you know they're gone at first it was really fun but now it's really annoying to render Dragon also broke texture packs a lot of custom skies broke because complete and they are horrible to look at now they render dragons in the game and also broke some elements. within the texture packs, things that once seemed completely normal are now gigantic for some reason, like the snowballs in this pack now take up like half the screen and that's all I can think of regarding rendering Dragon, but since we're on the topic of texture packs.
100 reasons minecraft bedrock sucks
In Bedrock Edition you cannot change texture packs mid-game. See if you're on Java and getting bored of your package. You can just press Escape, change it, and go back to the game as if nothing happened, but in Bedrock you have to do it. go back to the menu to change texture packs, this gets really tedious and really annoying especially when you look at Java and they have no problem doing it and also texture packs and skin packs are impossible to get in the console . version of the game on PC or mobile, you can just download a pack and put it directly into your game, but on the console it's not even that easy, you have to pay for a third party app, yes you have to pay for an app at Microsoft. store to use a texture pack, then you have to go through this super long process every time you want a new pack.
100 reasons minecraft bedrock sucks
I honestly feel bad for console players as Mojang makes them so dirty it's crazy, it's like they're the forgotten group of Bedrock Gamers or something like what we just did to render Dragon, let's go over all the Disadvantages of playing on console such as Bedrock Edition packs make it more difficult for console players to join servers that are not on the featured servers list. I know how it works now, but when I played on console, you basically needed to hack the main frame that you entered as a DNS code, so you'd have to like it. I don't know, I don't even know how to explain what you had. to change a bunch of settings and like Pax, you didn't just do this once, you did it every time you wanted to join a server.
Controller players also have super limited sensitivity. See the original console versions of the game that you can activate. your sensitivity is super high and while this might be unnecessary if you could make it work, it really gives you an advantage in things like PvP, but when they made Bedrock they decided to cap it at 100, which sounds like a lot, but here's how long it lasts. It takes a console gamer to make a 360. Now the biggest difference between the console and any other version of Bedrock Edition is the performance of gaming consoles, obviously they can't run games as well as a PC, but in the case from Bedrocks, brings console gamers and mobile gamers alike. a much bigger disadvantage than they already have, one of the lesser known fundamental features that I didn't even know about until someone told me is that if you have a lower FPS you will have more input lag, now I really don't know how to show it. you this, but like I just said, ask people who know what they are talking about and they will confirm that this is true and the reason this is a disadvantage for consoles is because most, if not all, have a limit of 60 FPS.
So not only are they playing on a controller with already worse hardware that already has input lag, but the game is literally set up to pay to win, so most of the time trying to maximize the performance of their game, players on console or low-end devices will. lower your graphics settings now, there is nothing wrong with doing this, but this is more of a personal complaint. I really hate how these lower graphics settings make the game look. I've seen a lot of smaller Bedrock creators use these settings and they make the game look real. It's horrible to compare this to Java, where it's really hard to tell if anyone has rejected your configuration up to this point.
I've only talked about bugs in Bedrock Edition, however, Java has many features that we don't use most of the time. We received them very late compared to Java and Mojang is still struggling to update the base and to this day there are many examples of this so be prepared because I will go through them all to start. For some reason Bedrock doesn't have spectral arrows which were added to Java in 2016, it's been 8 years this is sad and since spectral arrows aren't in the game we also don't have the glow effect in Bedrock when you get a potion effect in Java.
You can see the additional details by simply opening your inventory, but Bedrock thought it was a good idea to create a completely separate menu for this. There are no hotkeys to manage your inventory in Bedrock when I play Java, I can only sort certain items in certain slots we use the hotkeys they correlate to, but in Bedrock you can only change the click shields in Bedrock they work like They do it in Java, except to activate your Shield you have to crouch instead of right-click. I'm still, I don't like it. Why in Java can you stack TNT mine carts to make a giant explosion, but in Bedrock you can't do that?
Which is very boring for someone like me who likes to make a lot of cheats in their worlds. There is no Sprint toggle in Bedrock. I don't know if toggling Sprint is in Vanilla Java Minecraft, but it's definitely commonplace with things like clients, there's also no chance to toggle unless you play the water controller in Bedrock, it looks a lot worse than in Java, this is a Bit strange, but you have to do it. Admit it, I'm cooking, you know, that's true, although it will be added soon. Minecraft Bedrock currently has no option to create a hardcore world and just for reference, Java got hardcore mode in 2011 in Java, you can use a fishing rod. to attract items to you and while I don't think I would ever use this I'm a little sad it's not in Bedrock, this is another weird one, but in Java when you complete an advancement it puts it in chat.
I wish we had it. this in Bedrock for things like YouTube content especially, you don't realize how much it can add to a competition until you have it, you also can't display sound effects in Bedrock which is a great option to have in Java. and it definitely helps with things like execution speed. Another thing that helps with running speed is the F3 menu, but as you can guess, we don't have this either, there's no way to see how many fps I have without downloading something from a third party. There is also no hotkey to take a screenshot, this could be a good thing honestly, but sometimes I wish I had it.
There is also no hotkey for Bedrock players to easily switch between game modes. We have to type the command every time if you need to go AFK while playing in your single player world you can pause the game and nothing will kill you, well not in Bedrock pausing the game doesn't actually pause it so while you are going to the bathroom or something like that a little creeper can come. it's up to you and it exploits you, there are certain clutches that are only possible in Java, but not in Bedrock. The best example is Dream's notorious boat clutch.
I lost my mind because one time for a video I tried to press this clutch for hours and then it hit me. It's not even possible in Bedrock, even if you auto-click 100 CPS on quick runs. I've seen Java players use items like doors to catch their breath. If you try this on Bedrock, you'll just drown for some reason. I don't have furnace mine carts. I honestly think they just forgot to put this in the game because it's such a random element when you create a super flat world in Bedrock, there are no villages and while this is probably great for most people for a YouTuber like me. it eliminates a lot of possibilities for a super flat survival series or, you know, something like that, Bedrock Edition also doesn't have the debugging device.
I would probably never use it if it was added to the game, but I know a lot of builders probably would. freaking out if number 39 was added might be a little controversial but I wish Bedrock Edition had the updated combat for servers it would definitely be worse but for basic survival the updated combat makes it 10x more fun and since we don't have the new combat too we miss out on a lot of other features, one example is sweeping Edge once again, this doesn't really make sense because it would be really overpowered if you could just click Spam with sweeping Edge, so I understand why this isn't the case. in the game but we also don't have sharpening particles and I don't think I have to describe this but just like PvP it doesn't look very good without sharpening particles and probably the most annoying thing we miss is the java regeneration if you eat food in Java you heal incredibly fast, but in Bedrock you're lucky if you heal a heart.
This, plus something I'll mention later, makes Bedrock Survival really annoying to play. When Minecraft added improvisation, it quickly became one of the most useful additions to the game: you can put blocks, bows, food, whatever to make your game much more efficient. Well, you know, in Java, not Bedrock, of course, there are only five, five elements. Yes, that's right, there are five elements you can add. Bedrock has a shield, rocket launcher, totem arrows, and a map, but this one of the five elements doesn't even work. People usually use rockets in combination with their elytra to give them a boost while gliding well on Bedrock, you can't do that. that, but instead you can just hold them and watch them as you slowly fall to your death.
Hopefully at this point you're starting to see why I'm a little confused about some of these things that are in the game now, this last one isn't as bad as the other two, but it still doesn't make much sense in Java, there are a hotkey to switch an item to your free hand and as you can guess, we don't have this at all either. right, that's it, those are all the things that Java has and Bedrock doesn't. I probably still forgot a few, but I feel like it's more than enough, but we're pretty close to the halfway point anyway.
So now is probably a good time to take a mini break and while we're at it, make sure you're subscribed. My next video will have a hundred things I like about Bedrock, so if you want to do it as soon as possible, substitution would help and anyway, back to the things that suck about Bedrock Minecraft Bedrock is best known for its servers, okay for your server, so even that selection of Bedrock servers is not the best, there are many fraudulent things that take place on Bedrock servers and even the bigger ones. They are nothing compared to Java.
One specific thing I really wish Bedrock had was some type of UHC server. I used to play a lot of UHC as a kid so seeing it revived in hoplight form was cool, but unfortunately Bedrock has nothing like that and I don't see it having anything like that anytime soon, so to try and grow Bedrock servers Mojang added the featured servers page in theory, this is a great idea, but it causes some problems of its own, the main one beingThat Microsoft really

sucks

at choosing good servers to feature, some are great but most of them are blatant cash grabs that are almost unplayable.
Some of Fe's featured servers are even behind a paywall. We all remember the infamous Pixel Paradise where you literally needed to pay. for a pass to be able to play their mini-games, the fact that Microsoft allows that to become featured programs where the intentions are pixels. Paradise is also a great example of a server with terrible anti-che which is very common in Bedrock. I remember me and my friend Andrew logged into Mineplex before it was shut down and we were able to spawn in Withers and go into creative mode during Bedw Wars games. We have a theory that they just didn't have an anti-che, which is pretty funny considering Mineplex was a featured server Microsoft also has a chat filter on all multiplayer servers having a chat filter is a great thing because then at the People don't like to say weird things in chat, but their filter blocks some confusing words.
I specifically remember him blocking the word Obama, which I thought was pretty strange, so I spammed him a few times, they made it like a politically motivated chat filter or something. The worst part about the chat filter is that it can Shadow mute you if you don't know what shadow muting is, they essentially block you from being able to use chat, but it never tells you that you are muted and if you have ever played Bedrock you know that this It happens all the time. Spend days thinking that people can see your messages until you discover that you are hidden and the fun part is that the only way to silence the shadow is to be super healthy in the chat.
I always used to tell people that they have a nice shirt after killing them in a game and While we're talking about chat, why is Bedrock's chat so ugly? Why did you feel it was necessary to move to the top left corner when in all other versions it was towards the bottom left and also why does it have to be so big? I can read it perfectly well without it taking up 30% of my screen. They also have chat settings that you would think would be really useful, but they make almost no difference and with that we now move on to what I like to call things that maybe don't. be true, but obvious P thinks they are features of Bedrock that I don't even know if they exist, but I still think they are annoying and the first example is

bedrock

.
Mob spawning when entering a cave in Bedro rock is miserable, the game spawns as many mobs as possible to invade you and stop all the fun you are having, this is not normal, this is not right, kill Enderman in Java it seems very easy, it's almost like they want you to kill them, but in Bedrock after you hit. An Enderman teleports away instantly and sometimes you may never see him again. This has happened so many times when I try to get pearls. I'll hit an Enderman, it teleports away and then it's like being on vacation or something.
The Ender Dragon in Bedrock feels much tougher than in Java once again. I have no idea if this is true, but the legit Bedrock Dragon points at you, charges straight at you, and if you don't do so, it will drop some dragon breath that will pass through you. your health happens the same with Wither, like why is Bedrock Wither so strong, is there a reason why they did this or is it just like a little joke when they added the new way to swim? It felt like a big change from when I was swimming. In Minecraft it used to be super annoying, but don't tell anyone that it's actually faster to swim the old way.
The Rock mining mechanic is also super annoying, for some reason you mine blocks faster if you individually click on each block instead of holding down the button if you have. I didn't realize anymore that Bedrock has a lot of features that just don't make sense, like why, how they did it, another confusing feature has to do with durability spam, clicking on your sword while fighting a mob makes it lose More durability than timing your sword. hits now, this would make sense, but we still have the old combat, this is how you're supposed to fight mobs now, the last of the things that might not be true, but EVP thinks it has to do with inviting other people to your world, one of the best things about Bedrock in my opinion is the ability to play free multiplayer and to do this you invite your friends to your world, but somehow this feature just doesn't work sometimes, just like the

reasons

prior to this, which I can't really explain. how this happens, but if you've played Bedrock you know what I'm talking about, just like I talked about console players before mobile players also took over Microsoft's Dirty and even though I don't play on mobile, I still I know these errors.
Through many clips I've seen and people I've talked to, a good example of this is the new Mobile controls. Microsoft added new controls to try to help mobile players play at the same speed as someone on another platform and for the most part it was great, but then they updated the game and completely screwed up the new controls. I don't know exactly how but legitimately every mobile gamer I know complains about this but the main thing that mobile gamers deal with is glitches and these are not minor things either these are bugs that change the game, it's crazy to me that some of these exist considering the game is literally made to be played on your phone anyway, one bug is called Screen Shake, it's exactly what it sounds like too, sometimes the screen shakes uncontrollably when move your camera, there is also a misdirection bug that causes mobile players to randomly turn their head towards the Sun or towards the ground.
Mobile players will also randomly drop items they are holding or their Sprint will stop working seconds after activating, seriously sorry. Bad for mobile gamers, I don't know how to deal with it, but anyway now we come to the moment when everyone was waiting for the number 69, so here's the little one that sits in the corner of the screen. Because it is there? What is it for? We can't talk about Bedrock without talking about the market and as you all know there are a lot of things wrong with it, first things first, a lot of the content of the market is missing.
The best, sure, there are some good things, but most of it is just sad, like you shouldn't spend your precious mine coins on these maps, that's another thing too. I don't like mine coins. I think the concept is cool and it's clearly trying to replicate something like v-bucks, but the name mine coins sounds really boring and when the things you spend them on are of such low quality it makes mine coins worthless. a lot, the market has a rating system that is also not very Good, if people knew about it maybe it could be decent, but right now no one really uses it, so every map has a super high rating.
Now let's say you want to buy something from the market before making sure it's the right one. This is because once you have clicked the buy button, your precious mine coins will be gone forever. There is no "are you sure" option. It will just spend them instantly once you've bought something. There is still a chance that the game will crash and you won't be able to do it. Download what you just paid for. I have received this error many times and recently learned that you need to click this button in your settings to fix it. The market not only has Maps, although it also has emotes, but also some of these emotes are worse versions of each other, they were simply stolen from Fortnite.
If you wanted, you could spend 20 bucks on four versions of the same dance, and while I'm on the subject, the most annoying thing about Bedrock emotes is that each emote has its own quirky little message that it will post in chat so people can flooding the chat with stupid NPC emotes and the same thing happens with skins whenever someone changes to a new skin the game feels the need to let everyone know that. they've changed skins, skins in Bedrock are weird in general, though for example, why can skins blink? It's like it's a little traumatic just to see your guy blink.
I feel like I'm exaggerating but this is quite disturbing, you can also make your skin shorter or taller in Bedrock, this is also quite disturbing to me, it's like a creepy paste or something, but back to the market, it also has packs of masks. Yes, some people pay money for Minecraft skins, that's a thing that happens, but even after actually paying. lifetime money for a Minecraft skin, many of them cannot be used on servers. I remember buying this sick Halloween skin pack when I was a kid, but now I can't use it like most skins when I play. server, the last problem I have with skins is that sometimes it doesn't allow you to change your skin.
I have no idea why, but as I've said more than enough in this video, if you play Bedrock, you know what I'm talking about and that's it. all I B for the market once again, there are probably more, but there is not enough room on this list for everyone and I really want to touch on more Bedrock mistakes. I know I've talked about them a lot, but there are so many that I have to mention more, there is a bug I call Ghost Bridge where your blocks just stop placing themselves while you are making a bridge.
Similarly, if you try to pick up your bucket of water or lava, sometimes it doesn't actually pick it up, but makes you think it did with Redstone. Bedrock also has many bugs and does not work like Java. The example I always run into is with piston traps where instead of the player falling cleanly, they are dragged by the 86th piston. It's probably the most annoying feature of Bedrock because in all the other games I haven't played or even just Minecraft, every other game, you're perfectly fine if you log out for a second and you know you're googling something, but in Bedrock, doing so logs you out of whatever server or world you're playing on, Mo Jen, please .
I'm begging you, just fix this. If you're not going to fix anything else, fix this, it's so annoying, why is this happening? Okay, this could actually be worse in Java if you hover over an element and press the dropdown button. key, it will drop that item since you know it makes sense, while in Bedrock it will drop the item next to it, how did you do that? It feels harder to get the game to do it, you know, any movement from other players looks terrible in Bedrock just compare Bedrock to Java here and you'll see what I mean, okay that's all the bugs and now we're at the final stretch.
I only have 12 more things to talk about and to be honest, none of them fit. I have the other sets of problems, so I put them last to start. I have to mention fancy bubbles. For some reason, there is a setting you can't turn off in the game called Fancy Bubbles. Don't know. what he does, but you can't lie, that's pretty creepy. Java Edition has mods but Bedrock doesn't, instead we have behavior packs that do their best to replicate mods but mostly fall short when I played the Legacy console versions. of the game you were able to set up custom super flat worlds and like everything else Bedrock doesn't let you do that it's a simple feature but I really wish we had it when you go in third person the movement of your character's legs is um.
Regarding, I don't know why they felt the need to change this, but they did and it's no good trying to fight another player in a predetermined Bedrock world, it's exactly like doing the same thing at work, but just by closing your eyes It is impossible to know what it is. happening and the Bedrocks bug movement makes it feel like the guy you're fighting is like cheating or something that dates back to the Legacy console editions, although one feature I always loved was being able to quit without saving, it allowed you to fight things like Griefers and was always useful if you made some kind of mistake, but when Bedrock was released they didn't include it if you want to play an older version of Java Edition, which is a very common thing for people to do, you can just select it in the launcher and press play, but as you can guess, this does not exist for Bedrock Edition, we are all forced to play the most recent version, also, there is no replay mod for Bedrock, which sucks for someone like me who creates content that it inherently leaves you behind compared to Java content.
The view of the creator swinging around in Bedrock Edition is super over the top if you just like moving around in your hand like it's darting all over the place, it's not even attached to your body at all. The bows in Bedrock are more like guns and that sounds kind of strange. say, but when you shoot a bow in Bedrock there's no arc or curve or gravity to the arrows, they're more like bullets, they just like to fly straight wherepoint the cursor normally, if you have a

minecraft

pet they will teleport to you if they stay behind, but in Bedrock if your pet starts swimming in some water and you walk away they will never teleport back to you and will live the rest of his life stranded in the ocean and finally the number 100 that people hate in Bedrock Edition too.
I'm pretty sure I roasted it for about 20 minutes, but there's also a lot of great stuff about the game, like I said before, my next video will have about 100 great things on Bedrock Edition, so be sure to subscribe to disable it or click on the final screen right now if it's already available
