I bought it and it just didn't take away the itch I was hoping for. to scratch and then a friend of mine has a Submariner and I tried it on and it changed my whole life.
I won this one by accident. I discovered a website called Live Auctioneers. Don't worry. I have never bid on anything in any auction. I just want to see what it feels like, like it could be a Rolex too and I just made the second offer on this. I never thought in a million years that I would win it, but that was it and I want it and it was like, oh, I just bought this Rolex, it's from 1981, it's like the '80s, the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life. and I loved it and one of my favorites, this is a champagne Daytona, it's literally the flashiest thing in the world. the world I bought it in as a backroom watch dealer was great.
I carry this around like an empty bomb in dad's office with a bunch of old IMAXs wrapped in plastic and no one works there and I just needed a desk in the corner and this guy pulls out an envelope from his desk with the watches he wanted to see it was the experience cooler and weirder one of the main arcs of being a watch collector is getting that watch that's like what am I doing and that was this watch I was like oh my god what am I doing with my life? When you put this on your wrist, you feel like Tony Soprano.
It's like it's the next level. Even if I use a gold president, I don't know where I know what I'm talking about, this is my workhorse. I got this guy to celebrate finishing my book, it's just you know it's a blow, look like you know what I am, you can see it Dean, I'm trying to be tough, but now I'm going to be a redhead with it, see? I can really use it. I mainly use this on the show because it's not as flashy, it's not as loud, it's a classic watch, it's pretty much what you imagine when you close your eyes and imagine it.
Submariner and I love wearing it on display because it doesn't draw too much attention, it's just a great battle watch. I can't defend fine watches because I know there's no real reason to spend that much money on watches, but the craftsmanship and legend of Rolex is addictive. I am completely addicted. I'll probably just stick with the rolls because I love them, except for my cologne. I believe in smelling good. I don't think it costs. Many smell good. You can smell good on a very limited budget, but I wanted to try it. get like a really curated scent so I bought this when I was in Paris.
I went to Paris for the first time last year and went to this cool perfume shop and I had every intention of making one of those custom pennies, but I smelled this. and I was like this is all it is man I threw it away it's called crazy hours by Franck Franck Muller from June it smells good I like it you would like it too if you could smell it here I'm sorry here we have some Kentucky Bourbon 1796 it's very good it's sweet, smooth and complex, making it delicious to drink neat, but you wouldn't be too shy not to make a cocktail with it.
You could make a delicious old fashioned cocktail with this and I think.
