pot and big, and we are going to make an adorable gnome, so the first thing is to paint the two smallest sizes with acrylic paint, you can make your gnome however you want. colors you want I really wanted mine to be bright so it would stand out in some of my gardens and gardens so this guy got a bright green hat and now to work on the larger size pot we want to pick a paint color which is going to contrast with your first paint color, this is going to be his face and body, then for his beard, I'm going to use some white chalk paint and just create a very simple teardrop shape with a spike at the bottom and this will be Like I said his beard just fill it in with white paint, then for his feet I'm taking some black paint and adding some semi circle shapes to each side of the beard and now to put it all together I'm using some glue hot. for this, but if you have more glue or high tack glue, I would recommend that if it is going to go outside so that it can withstand the weather and temperature changes, we will basically stack them in a row and on top of each other so that our hat It comes together and sits right on top of the gnome's body and, of course, we can't forget its little nose.

I had these half wood beads and added them to the front of his face just below the hat. Hey, and now let's make a wind chime using these six smaller sized terracotta pots. These are from Dollar Tree in a smaller size. I decided I wanted to make mine in a rainbow style, so I went ahead and chose six different colors for each of the pots. So of course I'm just using a foam brush to paint all of these pots and I gave each one two coats. Now we are going to run some jute through the holes in these pots, so I took my scissors and just made sure the holes at the bottom were big enough and routed easily, some of them had some paint on them there and they were clogged, so it's easy to open those holes and make them a little bit bigger and then We're going to use three ply jute to help hang them all in a row along with some wooden beads.

It doesn't really matter what size the wooden beads are, you just want to make sure they are larger than the holes in the pots and also not too big to be seen, so we'll start with the top. I'm taking a larger wooden bead and passing the Jew through it and then back down to make a loop at the top. and then tie a knot so that my bead doesn't slip after cutting a long piece of jute. You want to make sure it is quite long because you don't want to run out of thread while doing this process.

You can always cut it shorter, but you can't make it longer, so we'll add our first pot. You will go from the bottom of the pot through the widest opening and then feed your tail from the loop at the top. over there and cut it to size because we don't want it to hang down any more, but here's a close up look at the top of our wind chime. We're going to start by adding a bead to this long piece of jute and you're going to feed it until it reaches the inside of the terracotta pot about halfway and you'll also see here when I was trimming the extra long tail piece so it doesn't hang down later.

So insert your bead halfway into your terracotta pot and tie a knot again. We're going to feed our next pot in line and make sure it touches that knot we made under the first pot again. You will enter another account up to half. in the pot, tie a knot and you will start to see this tiered effect, so go ahead and end up going through this process a few more times until you have all your pots in a row. These look so pretty once you have them all strung together. together and they also make a very pretty sound when the wind blows, just make sure you don't leave them outside during a storm or strong winds because you don't want your flower pots to break and you would lose your nice wind chime.
Now let's make some coasters using these smaller sized terracotta saucers. I'm starting out using my chalk paint. I love chalk paint, especially for things like this because it sticks to pretty much everything. You can use acrylic paint. You just want to make sure you seal this, but we. I'm going to do that and in a moment I'll show you what it looks like, so I'm going to give these four saucers a coat of white chalk paint and to make them colorful, I'm using scrapbook paper that I had on hand and a lid of mason jar seemed to be about the right size circle I needed to fit on each coaster, so I went ahead and cut them out and then used some regular glue stick to adhere them to the bottom of each one. and now we have to make these raincoats.
I'm going to use a polyacrylic with a clear matte finish and I'm just going to apply it with a foam brush to all the parts of the coaster just to make sure they're waterproof and sealed. against humidity, they are very fun to make, quick, easy and economical, they will also be very fun for a party or for your patio or porch. Next we are going to make a solar light stand and I wanted to show you the sticker. At the bottom of this pot is a 6.3-inch pot. You can see that it is only 2.37. The important thing about this is that you just want to make sure that the hole in the bottom of the pot is big enough to hold your solar lantern, so yeah, this.
The idea is that simple, of course, you can always decorate your terracotta pot and make it elegant or also match your garden decoration. Next we will make a very fun tiered planter and I have three different sizes of terra cotta pots, you can make yours larger. or smaller depending on the size of space you have and I wanted mine to be really bright and colorful so I'm going to start with a coat of white chalk paint on the bottom half and then on the top around the edge I'm going to add a touch colorful I love buying flowers and I coincidentally arrived at the store the same morning they delivered all these flowers so I picked the first one and it was so much fun if you love gardening too press the thumbs up button all these colors .
It just makes me very happy, so all I'm doing is adding some big stones to the bottom of the pots to give it some drainage and also to give it a little height so I don't have to use as much. dirt and soil at the bottom and I just added soil and then stacked my pots on top of each other and once they were stacked I added my flowers. This idea is very simple and also very economical and easy. We are going to make a lantern using a saucer, a flower pot and also this vase from Dollar Tree.
I filled the bottom of my pot with some packing paper that actually came when I bought the terracotta pots, it's what they wrapped them in to protect them and then added some pebbles. On top of there, you can find them at Dollar Tree and garden centers and wherever they have them, pretty much everywhere. I placed my saucer on top and then added a few more pebbles inside my vase to give it weight before adding my candle. You can also use a battery powered light if you want to use this indoors or you could even use a citronella candle if you want to use it outdoors to keep bugs away, if you don't have a large area to have a garden you can make your own small one. miniature garden using a large saucer and three different sizes of terracotta pots and in fact I think mine are only two sizes.
I filled the bottom of the saucer with more of those pebbles and added my soil and some more flowers into the pots he made. for a super cute miniature garden now unfortunately I have no green thumb but I sure try every year so if you guys have any special tips or tricks for me on how I can keep these cute petunias alive I would appreciate it a lot. I appreciate that you can leave them in the comments below. Now let's make a super quick plant hanger, so I'm going to use colored yarn for this, but you can use jute, twine, or rope, whatever you have on hand and just want to make.
Be sure to cut four equal lengths that are about three feet long each. Now you are going to place the two ropes at the same time crossing the pot in both directions, vertically and horizontally, and then you will join them in the center below. We're going to make sure that that knot stays in the middle of the bottom of our pot and we're going to tie knots right where the edges of the pot are, so take the ropes two at a time and make an overhand knot by just tying them together. Together, making sure the knot is on the edge of the pot, we will do that on all four ropes and now we should have five knots in total.
Let's start separating the ropes by pulling one from the next. and gather them together and then tie each one of them in a knot about halfway up the pot, just tying an overhand knot and making sure they are tight knots so they don't come apart. Once we're done, let's move. counterclockwise, take that single rope and separate one from the one at the top, separating those two again, tying them to about the middle of your pot and you'll continue this for the next two sections, like this that now we should have four. groups of two threads again like we did at the beginning and again we are going to follow this process one more time by separating the two threads that are next to each other and tying another knot closer to the top of the pot, then continue and continue with this for the next three sections.
Now you can turn your pot upside down or actually right side up and you will gather all the loose threads at the top and tie a knot. The next one couldn't be faster and simpler either. and easy, we are going to make a candle holder using a small terracotta pot and saucer, just turn the pot upside down, add the saucer right on top and then you have a little place to add a candle, now of course if you want you can glue these pieces together and make them permanent or you can just let them sit this way and remove them whenever you want and then you can reuse your terracotta pot and saucer for something else in the future.
Another way to decorate your pots is decoupage. I pulled out some pretty wall stickers I bought from Dollar Tree and decided to decoupage my terra cotta pot, but first I wanted to paint it white. You can use napkins for this. You can use fabric for this. You can use scrapbook paper. this or in my case, like I said, I found these cute stickers from Dollar Tree and decided to add them to my pot once the paint was completely dry. I cut out some nice sections of these stickers because they are obviously pretty big and just glued them on. on the pot and went over them with my mod podge and then once the paint was dry I went in with my foam brush and went over those stickers pretty generously with the mod podge and covered the whole pot, not just the stickers that way .
They all have the same finish, let me know in the comments below which of these projects was your favorite success, thumbs up button and subscribe if you haven't already for more ideas, inspiration and budget friendly projects like this one you see here.
