knot

less knot. This knot is very popular in the UK and Europe and is so simple that it's hard to go wrong. It is a very powerful knot, very fast and effective. Requires you to cut a piece of leader. You pass the leader through the front of the eyelet, then wrap it around the shank seven or eight times, and then pass the leader through the back. of the eye and that's it, that's it, you can do this with braid or you can do it with mono.

It works equally well with both and this is a knot I've used thousands of times and don't remember ever owning. I have used this knot with

hooks

as large as 10

knots

and as small as number 10. It is a very versatile knot and is the basis for many other knots that I am going to show you, so it is kind of a fundamental knot. Unlike many other knots, the line does not have to be wet to fit properly and is very strong and rarely lets you down. Now I will show you how to tie a stinger or a knot;

They are basically two

hooks

. in tandem, you use it for pike

fishing

, cat

fishing

, shark fishing, it's a great rig when you have a fish and you want to put multiple baits or you want to put two hooks on a very big bait, so if you are using it like a big herring and you want a hook in the head and a hook in the tail, this works great. Start by simply tying a knotless knot, just like we just talked about, then insert another hook into Only You Fe, either backwards to get the line in. the back instead of the front and then you tie a knotless knot and then you just pull it through like you normally would and that's it, that's it and you can set whatever distance you want between them, you can put as many hooks as you want. you want, you can put 3 4 6 12 hooks in a row, whatever you want to do.

This is also great for making small saiki rigs, but another thing that's really good about the knotless knot is that it's very easy to salvage the rig, so if you don't. I don't like it, it really comes off very simply so you just pull on the line and it comes loose and you can rescue your hooks. The egg loop knot is a great knot whenever you're fishing with soft baits that fall off the hook very easily, whether it's liver, salmon eggs, sausages, soft baits or anything like that, that little loop on the shank of the hook helps attach the bait to the hook to tie the egg knot.

You start by tying a knotless knot and feeding it to the leader. a piece of leader that you cut from the front of the eye and wrap it around the shank, only you don't do it just seven or eight times, you go ahead and wrap the entire length of the shank until you reach the beginning of the bend or at least until it's even with the tip of the hook, you want these wrappers to be very clean, very tight, very close together, nice and pretty once you get to the distance you want, run the back of the leader through the eyelid like if we were going to finish a knotless knot, but you don't tighten it next, you're going to want to get the tag end and, uh, lift it up and trim it so it's out of your way once it's done, take this. small loop and you will notice that one end of the loop is against the shank and the other is going towards the eye of the hook, take the part that is against the shank and wrap it around the part that goes towards the island and you will see, it is like making a whip knot, if you've ever done the same type of fly tying, you're basically wrapping one end of the loop around the other against the hook and you do this five or six times. times and you'll see that it should tighten the cinch, uh, very close, very, very nice if you get to this part and then the knot doesn't close properly, it won't form like that, it's because you've whipped the wrong end. of the loop around the shank, you've done that part backwards when it's all done, this is what the egg loop knot should look like.
It has this retractable loop that you can open and use to attach soft baits to the hook shank if you've ever had trouble with bait falling off the hook. This is the knot you want to use. It's a very good knot. Next is the polymer knot. One of the simplest classic knots that everyone should know. You fold a piece of thread and make a loop. You push that loop through the eye of the wire or the hook or the swivel then you tie an overhand knot with the loop and it should look like this okay just a basic knot using the loop that goes through the eye and then you take the At the end of the loop, the part that's on the left and you put the hook or the swivel or the cable through that loop and you tighten it and that's it.
An advantage of the polymer knot is that you do not need to cut a piece of leader. To do this, you can tie something directly to your main line. Ok, stopper knots, this is the knot used to prevent a bead and float from going up the line. It is an adjustable knot that slides up and down the line. This is a very versatile knot that is used in many other knots so it's great to learn and essential if you're fishing with floats, just tie an overhand knot on your main line and then keep wrapping and wrapping and wrapping as normal. about seven times or so, it's not an exact science, but the more you wrap, the harder it will be to prepare the knot and the more force it will take to make the stopper or knot travel up and down the line, so if you do it Want more friction creates more loops.
You want it to be quick and easy, do less, but you dress it up like this and that's it, just cut the ends off and then you have this little knot that slides up and down the yellow line and when you want to remove it, just slide it down the end like that, so an adjustable Stinger hook is basically the same as the Stinger hook knot that I showed you before, but it's adjustable, so if you're using different size baits, you can adjust where it is. distance of the two between the two hooks, this is really good if you are fishing with a big fish with two hooks, like fishing for sharks or pike, so you do a simple knot without knots and then you tie, you put the other hook and here you just it slides up and down the line so what you use is you make a stopper knot that holds the hook shank to the leader okay so just make your simple loop with your hand and wrap it around and around seven or eight times the time.
The more you wrap it, the more friction you will have and this will make the top hook adjustable. You can slide it up and down on the leader, but it won't move, so this is a real application of the two knots that I already learned the knotless knot and the stopper knot, tie them together and now you have an adjustable pole in your rig, which is great for fishing big baits, so watch it slide up and down. I have also used similar techniques for adjustable hair rigs, if you don't have a lead slider you can also use one of these stopper knots to make a DIY lead slider.
Okay, let's talk about the Double Uni Knot. Any time you want to join two lines together, use the Double Uni Knot can be floral for braiding braid to mono braid for braiding mon mon Deo whatever it doesn't matter this is great for joining shock leaders es good for making backs on your reel so you have like a mono backing and then a braid topper Basically all the Double Uni Knot is two stopper knots, so now that you've learned how to tie the knot or stop, you can make the Double Uni Knot. What you need to do is look at these two lines: the blue line and the yellow line.
When you join the yellow line to the blue line with a stop or knot and then you join the blue line to the yellow line with a stop knot, the two stop knots want to slide in opposite directions and collide with each other and this is how When you create the Knot Double Uni, the hardest part of tying this knot is dressing it and when I say dressing it, I mean tightening the knot as you tighten it, it can bunch up and end up not being all. Nice and neat, the key is to put tension on the four lines coming out of this knot.
Look, there are two yellow lines coming out of the knot and two blue lines coming out of the knot. Just put a little stress on all of them and be nice. to work the knot all at the same time, if you do it, it will be really pretty. Another important step to properly dressing this knot is to make sure the line is wet when it comes time to tighten everything up and dress the knot. you want the lines to be wet so you can dip them in water or lick the knots to give it some kind of lubricant so everything slides properly and you'll see me do this here when I get it all ready, I'm going. and I put it in my mouth and I put a little bit of saliva on it and that saliva will act as a nice little lubricant to try to make everything slide properly when you pull on it, so you just take it easy and try to put tension on the four lines coming out of the knot and boom, there you have a nice tight little knot and when you pull them you see both stopper knots come together and boom, they hit each other and it becomes solid, you trim off the excess and it has a very low profile to that when it passes through the eyelets of the rod it does not snag or break the eyelets or break in the line.
The low profile of the Double Uni Knot is why I think it is the best knot for connecting two lines. Okay, now for the clinch knot or fisherman's knot. The advantage of this knot is that you don't need to cut a piece of leader to tie it. You can tie it directly to your main line. It's also relatively simple. The disadvantage. It's just that it's easy to mess up and get it wrong, so all you have to do is run the line through the eye, then twist the hook or swivel or whatever about seven or eight times, run it back through the first loop, and then feed the end of the tag through the loop you just created and that's it, when you are dressing the knot you first want to pull the end of the tag a little bit and then you want to pull it down and work the knot, pull the main line and work the knot up to the eye and it should look great, especially if you lick or wet the knot first.
The key to this knot is to make sure you put as many loops in the knot as you need if you put too many wraps in it. knot, it will not dress properly if you don't put enough, the knot will slip about 7 or eight turns normally, but you may need more or less turns depending on the diameter of the line you are using and the type of line you are using . You're using it, so if you don't have enough wraps and the hook pulls because the knot slipped, this is what the end of your line will look like, so if you lose your rig, you reel it in and see the crimped marks on the end. of the line that means you haven't slipped that tells you you're tied you're not wrong if however something uh cuts the line or and the line fails when you lose your gear and reel it in you'll just have a clean cut it won't have a curly tail on the end, that's how you know what went wrong.
Okay, one of my favorite knots is the surgeon's loop. I use it all the time whenever I tie some rigs. At the end of the rig, the hookless end. In the kit I put a surgeon's loop, you just make a loop and then put an overhand knot in it and tighten it, it's like the polymer knot, but this is very basic, it's very strong and works well, so whenever you want to put it . a loop on something, that's how it's done. Now it takes two seconds. If you use an overhand knot, you'll notice that there is a bend and the loop is at an angle, so if you don't want that, you'll want to make it show a little. a little nicer, you can use a figure eight knot, which is also a little stronger, so instead of doing an over loop, you're doing a figure eight knot, so basically you start as an over loop. on top, then you turn the loop and you pull the tag and you can see here how it forms a kind of figure eight and you just tighten it and then now the loop will be straight with the rest of the line, it's a little bit stronger too, but any of the two works well with hair.
The rig is an excellent rig for fishing carbs. I use it a lot for catfishing. It is a rig in which you put the bait on the hair or on the piece of rope, not on the hook. A hair rig allows you to fish with baits that don't fit on the tip of a hook and improves your hookup ratio, but it basically starts with a surgeon's loop, so the knot we just learned you make a surgeon's loop, you put a knot at the end of the line and then make it the end of your leader. and you make a knotless knot, so basically you're making a knotless knot using a piece of leader that has a surgeon's loop on the end and that's it, you take the knotless knot and the surgeon's bow and you combine them and that's it. is to make the hair rig and this is a great rig for trolling and catfishing anytime you have a bait that doesn't fit the hook properly or if you have very sensitive and hook shy fish or if you are concerned about the intestinal hook.
Fishing with small hooks, this works very well. You can see here that this bait I'm using is a Boili, which is a great bait for Catfish carp and you just slide it over the hair with a bait needle and then put some bait on it. stop, which is just a piece of plastic through the loop, you can also use a stick or whatever and that keeps the bait from sliding back out of the hair and there you have it, it's a hair rig, one of the most popular tackles inEurope, okay, let's show you. a dropper loop, okay this is a big knot but all it is essentially is a surgeon's loop.
Now there are different ways to do it and people can tie dropper loops in many different ways, but essentially you can use the surgeon's loop and there. You go, you tie an overhand knot and boom, you've got it and this is a great rig that you can and put a hook on it, so if you want a hook hanging off your main line or a wire hanging off your main line, you don't need it. . to slide up and down, this works great, pass the loop through the eye and then pass the loop over the hook and voila, if you are trying to make a trot line this is a great way. to do it or you're trying to make a dropper hook or a dropper rig this is a great way to do it and this is the loop to loop knot which is basically a knot that you use to attach surgeon's loops to things which you basically put. loop through the other loop and boom, you're done.
Once you've mastered the loop-to-loop knot on the surgeon's loop, you can tie the helicopter rig. This is a great rig for fishing from the bottom in current or in complicated places and it is only three surgeons.
