1,000 Arrows In A day?

Apr 16, 2024
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I've had this stupid idea that's actually been generated for years and years because a long time ago, when I shot a lot in archery tournaments, there was something they used to do at the Olympic Training Center where they did a thousand arrow days where they They forced themselves to shoot a thousand

arrows

in a day and it was kind of like something people tried to do once a year or something, so I've always been like, how hard is it? Actually, I shot a thousand

arrows

and I thought Well, let's spend a whole day and shoot my bow all day and see how many arrows I could shoot.
1 000 arrows in a day
We were also thinking, well, what could you do? What could you do to like scale? how well you're shooting, so what we'll do is at the beginning of the day, in the morning, I'll shoot at 100 yards to shoot like a standard group of 10 arrows, let's say, and then throughout the day. I'm going to shoot different bows and, uh, different, all kinds of different things, all day long and I'll keep a general count of how many arrows I've shot and I'll continually check it as I get more tired and as I keep shooting more arrows to see how severe my groups are and how bad I start shooting at the end of the day, so first what we're going to shoot is my phase four.

More Interesting Facts About,

1 000 arrows in a day...

I'll probably shoot this guy for a while. I want to recheck my vision tape so that will be good to do, overall it's fine so a big challenge today for overall accuracy will be that it's a tornado here, I don't know why but this whole week it's been It's been really windy, so we're going to walk back to 100 and I have this counter that I'm going to be able to track my shots with, so we're going to start here 54. I just want to make sure that I've been playing around with all kinds of things. I just want to make sure I'm not going to miss getting back to 100.

Okay, that was good. I'm definitely going to practice some wind. today, that's for sure, today is going to be a long day, oh my god, my arrows are falling there, foreigner, moving forward, bye, the good thing about doing this challenge is that today I'm going to shoot a lot of arrows, obviously, but I'm also going to go to change and shoot a couple of different settings, maybe even fine-tune this vision tape to make for a very productive day. I could even pull out my 3D bow because they're just arrows, they don't come from a specific bow, but I generally can't.

I see the target left them a bit, Arrow flew very straight so I don't think the wind affected it too much, it went left so I might have to move my spot, okay 100 yards here felt Pretty solid, definitely coming. Back, shoot my 10 arrows in a nice group and I guess we'll take that as a starting point or see how far I can go downhill from there, okay foreigner, hanging down, the side tape is definitely a little off. I've noticed it, but now that I'm shooting at 100, I mean I'm at about 104 yards when the actual distance is 100.
Let's see the crazy down there, so when I aimed at this one, I was kind of getting this group. right here and I had a flyer this was or actually those two were my closest distances when I was shooting the closest ones and then with this one I aimed at this point on the last one so it's not that bad but man that goes to be a factor, we have a long way to go, okay and number two, oh, that was terrible, the wind caught me at the last second, that one, oh, that one, probably yeah, pretty far to the left.
I have a really good group left, for some reason, do it low left, yeah. There remains a very good group. I don't know why I'm trying right. I'm sure because just because of the Wind Drift, but we'll go check them out and actually go inside and shoot outside at our 60 yard target. to get some volume on some takes because we were only on 20. Well, it's not terrible and I'm not going to include this one, this one, this one and just generally see how good my groups are because the ones in there actually aren't that great. bad thing is that they're just sniggering a little, so the wind blows like that, which goes a long way toward explaining why my arrows are like that foreign group down there, 60 yards, next 10 arrows to get to 30, We only have 970 more to get to 40.
We already have 60 arrows and I mean, I'm starting to feel a little fatigued, almost non-stop, shooting the biggest, the most important thing is to shoot 10 arrows and end up like this with the arrow number like seven, it's just that you're getting started. to feel shaky and tired and stuff so I'm shooting 75 pounds with this bow and um the big reason I say I'm going to start shooting other bows is because they weigh less so just to get volumes of arrows , you know, more than a 60 65 pound bow is a little bit safer, so I'll shoot a hundred arrows.
I think about this arc and I will begin to change. That's not a bad group at all. I like I take out my random Flyers just because it doesn't make sense and this is just a bad shot, but that group over there, I mean, I can put my hand around it. I'm happy with that, although I still feel good, I could actually shoot. Half decent shot. I have my 60 yard mark for this bow. I'm going to check my mark 20 real quick and draw probably the rest of my arrows here at 20 yards until I get to 100 just to make sure it's me.
I'm fine 70. 80. 90. 100 shots um, that time I knocked it out pretty quickly and got pretty sloppy. You start to like forgetting to keep doing things the way you're supposed to, so I like it. I know nothing. a couple of good ones, a couple of bad ones and it's definitely getting a little shaky at the end so I think I'm going to take out my target bow and start shooting a little bit because I'll be able to weigh about 60 pounds. Make it a little longer, okay, we have a TRX 36 from Matthew. This was like my outdoor bow. I think it's set at 67, 65 pounds, something like that.
I guess we can check that 67 is a little better than my hunting ball. Shoot this for a while. Kinda just to try to get some numbers. A foreign man forgot how much louder Target bows are compared to hunting bows. One thing is that I can definitely see how much I'm starting to shake because this is a Power Scope of six here. so you can see all your little pins, oh, that really felt like a good shot, okay, 120 arrows. I'm coming back to 55 yards and we're going to shoot some good old world archery. Outdoor Style 130. I think my view is slowly breaking down so you can see, it can be hard to see there is a lot of wobble.
These achievements are kind of famous for that after a while and this is an older one, but every shot it's like well 140. Okay, it's lunch. time and I have two calls that I have to jump to very quickly, so we're going to resume that after we're at 140 arrows. Honestly, I got a lot of energy from shooting a little lower weight, so I'm feeling pretty good right now and I guess when I come back it'll be like guns full of Blazing, we'll take out a target and actually score a little with this bow , so we'll see how it goes, but I'm hungry.
Welcome back, what was a few hours for me was just a few seconds for you. We have to go Hyper Speed to even get close to hitting our target, so I'll go in zombie mode and shoot as many arrows as I can. with my bow my swing just exploded on that Arrow, always check your swings. I have no idea where that Arrow went from, this is exaggerated, but if you have something like that where your arrow breaks like your punch breaks, it's obviously not that exaggerated, you know something? where it looks like a normal punch and I just clicked on it and noticed it was a little loose but I didn't think about that and just fired it and the punch exploded which could have been bad so I have another one this is a site Excel XP, it's a little newer, this one is actually quite old.
I will change it. I'm going to shoot one here at eight yards, make sure it's all good and in order, finally. target with the new uninterrupted site 150. Alright, let's hang one of these targets and I'm going to shoot 12 arrowheads and see what kind of scores I can make world archery style, so those are my last two after . sighting actually shot I think two here's one I think one shot two under hope I can find them oh yeah there she always has to check under the targets so I'm happy with that but this is 60 yards for the shooting score with world bow We need to move back or forward at 55 yards, which is 50 meters.
Okay, I shot 12 last time, so I'm actually at 152. I guess we'll do this round, get sighted, and then I'll do it. We'll start jotting something down, okay, so here we are. This was my last group I photographed here, very happy with it, so I think now we're going to rock out and score a little 60. I haven't filmed any. of those literally in a long time, maybe because I haven't shot this style in a long time, it felt like a nine, it was a nine. I've said it before, but it's not so much about the volume arrows as it is about the number of arrows you shoot. a row like shooting a dozen in a row after six, it's like we got a few hits on that one there, so that puts us at 176.
Still a long way to go 188 I'm down eight points right now, this is the last At the end we shoot and then we will have shot 36 arrows of 360 points, which is an official world archery scoring round, so it would be good to shoot just two this time to stay above 150. To stay above of 350. Well, there are my two. I can't fall anymore oh hanging down I'm hanging right 200 broke 200. Okay, so I lowered those 36 arrows 15 points, so I shot a 145 or not a 145. I shot 345, which is not very good, so I I'm going to concentrate. here we go, I just shot an X.
I'm going to focus on this one but still shoot fast. I want to do better than that low point again. What I'm going to do just to help with the fatigue. I'll take all my effort. no weight I'm just going to shoot with some simple stabilizers, this is actually a great training exercise to learn how much weight to put on the stabilizers for your setup, you start with no weight, shoot some extremes, shoot a while, you can shoot a long time with it it's actually days and days and you get very used to it and then you slowly integrate the weight, you do an ounce and an ounce and you chew on an ounce or an ounce for a while and then you can put on, you know, two and then one. to help with the ratio and eventually you will clearly notice a difference of hey that was too much weight and you will know to add weight over the course of a day in a shooting session so you can know for sure when that amount was too much and they can just go back , so a little trick I like to do from time to time, but I won't do it for these reasons, this time I do it because I'm a weak kid and I just want to try. shoot as many as you can in a day 212 arrows Bo is a light, okay, not the best 222.
It's getting dark outside because it feels like a storm is coming, which is cool, okay. Still rocking and moving my right arm is actually kind of getting a little tired, feeling like a little pinch there or something, it seems like it took me over an hour to safely shoot 100 arrows continuously like it was a non-stop pull and, um, with everything else this morning, like it's been a long time. time between each end, whether it was moving around the cameras, filming things, putting things together from the arc, whatever, it took a lot of time. I'm making pretty good ground right now, but it takes a long time to shoot arrows and I still feel like I can hold on. decently stable, which is good, definitely helped.
I took the weight off, okay, so I'll take a break from shooting the target bow. I'm going to raise the hunting bow. The wind calmed down a bit. I'm going to shoot from 100 yards. and let's see if we can't get some good groups still we're definitely not calm by any means but it's better 76lbs or 75lbs will feel a lot heavier. I'll tell you it's okay, here we go, there's nothing, it's not bad. I only aimed at the middle, so now I'm going to aim for one of those points. I just wanted to make sure it was going to be good.
I think I honestly hit the orange dot once I'm in the middle of drawing. It's not as bad, but it's definitely a little bit harder to shoot, it's definitely tough to make a good shot, especially the last two, but we got 10 more and got to 280. Making good ground here, so this was my first Arrow, just try to hit the block, make sure I wasn't going to miss or anything and then this is my 100 meters. I mean, it's not that bad. If I had my other hand, I could make a circle around those arrows, so I'll take that especially since I'm close to 300 arrows.
I'm going to go out here and try to get a good amount of arrows and just go into an area and put this in time lapse, just rock and roll with the aim broken, well we're up to 364 arrows and I'll be honest when I shoot a lot of arrows like This one, especially after not really being prepared for it, my fingers start to feel a little tingly because they pinch me right in theright shoulder blade, it looks like a big knot right there, in a pinch that I've always had. that, um, so I'm going to start shooting a little bit slower, it's getting dark outside, but I really want to go further, so we're going to keep filming.
I'm not going to push it as far as I think. I'd like to be sore for a couple of days, but it's a lot. I mean, 360 euros. I don't know if I've ever shot so many arrows in one day. You know, I feel like I've shot 150 or 200 arrows. Good intense day of filming, like several hours, three, four hours of filming, um, but it takes a long time to film and especially, I'm ripping them off like a dozen at a time, shooting them quickly, going down, pulling them out and it's taking a lot. time, so the people at the Olympic Training Center, when they do it, they start at like 6 a.m. and they don't stop until it gets dark, you know, they'll take a lunch break and maybe a couple of 10 to 15 minute breaks here and there, so, um. but we're going to keep breaking up, uh during that time.
I've actually been shooting pretty decently, you still know when they go off in the middle and I don't really care how good it is other than the shape and when. you get in the middle, you hit a good shot and boom, and when there's a good shot, they're still there, so taking weight off the bars helped dramatically just for the strength, broke a couple of shots, had to fix a couple of blows, so I'm going to stretch. Try to figure out this kink a little bit. I don't know, especially because in the last month or two, I mean, in one day I haven't shot more than 50 arrows, so I jumped on the gun and just Doing this cold turkey is like nobody's not smart and, uh, it's kind of understandable, but I'm getting a little tired now and Pinchy's back, uh, so yeah, let's keep shooting.
He took a five-minute break and stretched a little. a little bit better, you know, tingly, I'm quite the foreigner, so you can see some wear on the body. I think that's my value just because of the sheer amount of arrows and you know the pressure and just shooting over and over again. Again, that's what you get there and my fingers, you know, they definitely get a little bit more calloused, a little bit, um, but yeah, that's kind of funny, that always happens if you shoot a bunch of arrows, it just goes in there, so which is good. because it's repeatability, you can really see where your hand is, but we're going to keep breaking, that was 376.
We're going to keep going, this is becoming an absolute routine, foreign, feel it, boys and girls, we're oh, that was the 400th arrow what we have. I broke the 400 mark and I'm still shooting pretty well, it seemed like a pretty good group down there, well guys and girls, let's finish those 400 arrows in a day and I can feel it in my shoulders and I can feel it in my right shoulder blade along my back and that's where the pinch comes from and it's like running down my arm, which I know is not very good. This has happened to me several times. multiple times isn't a new thing, it's just that when I shoot a bunch or don't shoot for a while and then shoot a bunch, like what I'm doing here, it just comes on, so I'm going to limit it.
In this, a couple of conclusions is that if I started like at dawn, at five or six in the morning, I spaced it throughout the day and that's the only thing I had that day, I could potentially reach a thousand arrows and I think that I can definitely do that in a later video. I slightly monitored how much time it actually takes to shoot a thousand arrows, because I had a lot of things to do today and I had to set things up at noon, but we shot 400 arrows. and that's definitely the most I've ever filmed in a day, so that's great, it will definitely increase my stamina like I'm an adult, so, that's good.
I hope this was a fun video, it's a fun video to make. It definitely helps me shoot more, so let me know in the comments below how many arrows you've shot in a day. I bet there are tons of people who have shot over 400 arrows, but that's what I shot today, so I'd go for it. I love doing this video again and doing it, doing it, uh, where all day long I have nothing to do and all I do is shoot arrows. Maybe it could go up to a thousand, so we'll see, be sure to check out beeromerch.com.
I have a lot of new products there and I'll see you next time.
