ZZ632 Dyno!
Aug 06, 2023when it comes to GM and anything performance related, there's usually a z code tied to that, whether it's for RPO code or engine codes or anything like that, and we can thank Zora Arkestuntov, so one of the first iterations of that was 1963 with the The Corvette Z06 and the z11 was an Impala so it was a 409 and then you have the 427 which in history was called the mystery engine because it appeared in some races at that time and a lot people were wondering. Which was fast forward a few decades and in front of us here is the
zz632
.This is a fuel injected big block. We've gone over all the stats before in previous videos. They probably even looked at the brochure over and over and had it memorized before they called us and placed an order, so this one wasn't created. This is the second one we have in our inventory and luckily the customer allowed us to put it on the Dyno motor to see it. What it really does is like a group of kids doing their first science experiment to test the theory of relativity and see if it's really true. We have this engine on the
dyno
and we expect it to make over a thousand horsepower just because you know a combination like this isn't exactly groundbreaking, but I mean it's a 632 cubic inch big block, it's fuel injected, It has a very good combination of components and a Holley Terminator X.We are running the Terminator output supplied by Chevrolet Performance. so we don't have any sorcery or anything else, it's the actual calibration that comes with Chevrolet performance in the box, so we're going to turn this thing on, hopefully it'll turn on. Right off the bat and then we'll heat it up and put it through its paces and see what foreign eggs have put it through its paces and lo and behold, it actually made over a thousand horsepower, that's one thousand three horsepower at 6,800 RPM, we'll put the information below in our post as far as power and torque, so you can meet Mike Lyons, who, of course, his nameplates on the front, put this together good job, Mike, that's us.
I'm really impressed with this motor, it sounds really great and hopefully you put on your headphones or turned up the volume so you can annoy everyone in the bathroom, the office or whatever you're doing watching this video right now, this motor sounds. Great, we're excited to see what they get into. We've already had one come out the door for a customer and he's actually installing a completely different intake manifold and still keeping EFI, but you know there are a variety of combinations you can use. With this, if he has any questions about his personal
zz632
, if he wants a little guidance, knows what he can do with this and maybe some combinations to use as far as putting it on his he already knows his street.Resto modifies your drag car, whatever it is, we have a wide variety of combinations from the guys at the race shop who have tested both EFI and carbureted Big Blocks for their customers, so if you are looking for a different intake combination , you know how to add throttle body spacers. or anything else like that, changing your oil pan, they can take care of you and we can cover you, we can even ship those parts to you at the same time you show your 632 at your door, so one more thing. We're excited to have this with us at PRI, so if you're interested in coming and poking around and asking questions, we'll be at PRI, December 8-10, you know, 2022 in case some of you.
We're looking at, you know, in a few years we'll be at booth 4425, which will be right next to Chevrolet Performance. We're excited to see what they'll have at the event too. because we miss you at SEMA, so come out if you're there, support us, support them, support everyone in the industry and we'd love to see you high-five us with a handshake and we hope to have more engines like this. running around here so if you have any questions feel free to ask and then if you want to see other engines on the
dyno
we'd love to hear some feedback, we're looking to try other combinations in the future. distant future, so keep your eyes peeled for all that, share and subscribe on YouTube or Facebook, either way, we post about it as much as we can within our busy schedule, so once again, thanks for watching the video and we will do it. see you at the PRIIf you have any copyright issue, please Contact
