Wynn STEAK & SEAFOOD BUFFET Review in Las VegasFeb 27, 2020
tonight i see the sky again i feel like i'm head in the clouds i'm looking for something i want to be in and out i want to do this like a rock star that's where i'll stay tonight and that's where i'll meet tonight i'm back In Las Vegas for two days to work on a pretty cool project. buffetin the wind even though my heart belongs to the back you know I still think it's the number one buffet in Vegas I really want to try them all and I haven't been back to Wynn in about three four years let's see if it's good I really can't remember. hasn't gotten awesome the hardest thing about walking down the strip going to a buffet that's a bit out of the way is just ignoring all the amazing food you're passing along the way a couple of tips if you've never been to
vegasbefore if you see a dirty creepy captain america elmo or girls that look like they should be on a show somewhere or people banging cars together walking towards you just stay out of the way that advice goes for new york too the face of wimba actually if i remember correctly the first
vegasbuffet i had this was like 12 years ago with no money and i was here with a startup this is when i was working in comics i saved a lot of money i came to vegas i went to the
wynnand at that point it was the biggest buffet i've ever seen and i remember looking at the dessert section after i finished eating and i was mesmerized we sat by the fire pit it gives us maybe it's a feeling so just take a chance have a chance baby roll the dice don't have to give me some love cause when i'm with you i'm in heaven you know how to make it not too bad especially the
steaks let's get our first round right starting with some tacos and little little bits of things that come in little bowls tacos got a sada and some pork mmm score for this place on the tacos this is tremendous the meat is charred but not dry on the inside the perfect amount of seasonings and spices nice pop of juice from the tomatoes I was not disappointed at all the pork tacos look a little Handle perfect ma'am all fresh guacamole the only thing is don't stuff yourself with this I look great that's why I bought it but this is a hefty serving of food asada masa of chassis peppers oh my god I know they didn't really have to cook this but this just bean on the buffet does the but you better have a side of your taco I'm going to butter this which allows you to set it on fire and in the most delicious way possible I mean hugs are good but those peppers made my night after my trip to Japan.
I started to love tuna. Oh, sesame sauce. i got these little feet or the Fu's but oh we run order trova range no i'm in trouble there's a lot going on right now i want a second helping now that i've been skinny like you've been to a buffet but I'll be honest my The first book they walked through wasn't all that and the fresh kings look a little dry it's not that appetizing there's a lot of stuff they even threw out because it just didn't look right but the stuff I tried wonderful I think the big stakes at this buffet are the stakes.
Let's go find something. This is the biggest chalk show I've ever seen. This is definitely the ultimate in garbage. Everyone. that New York Strip - around - is exciting, I just didn't get the tri-tip and rack of lamb because new ones are coming out. I want to wait. I have the newer one, but this oily chashu is like honey. I don't mean body shaming. I have never seen anything so fat in my life out of this world. Not many of you may like this because it's so fat. This is basically like that pork Big Mac and the fat would just be those buns with a couple thin sections of lean meat stuck in the middle it's sweet it's just the juiciest thing you can imagine a little bit sweet when you're eating it you need something you need like a jumping
steakhouse you need something spicy to take the fatty edge otherwise three bites you're done oh perfect they have scones for this I was like I don't need a scone now I'm thinking I need a scone let's go get a bunch so soon as you bite into it you swallow it into your stomach it feels like something just pushed the bar to hit it it's so good but it will feel very very very oily and greasy. with its stick i love to eat steaks where i can taste a fire and that has the perfect amount of smokiness outside the tender show check this out the beef rib wow didn't they just take a bad grip sprinkle some salt and put it in the fire riser, you can chase the salt we can taste the cumin and when you add cumin to any kind of roast meat you know it's going to be good let's see now it tastes like something you would probably find in the middle east with all these spices and it's tender from the start bone - oh that's amazing all this you have to eat it with the peppers don't let them eat they make your stomach too oily don't you want that that will make you eat less and believe me that's not a cheap buffet you want to eat everything you can in research no more tender but it's juicy and has a ton of flavor wonderful seared crust so all that juice when you continue with the steak the most tender cuts definitely the best ribs but which ones are the most flavorful.
This dish is like going against every fiber of my buffet. Economic love. I have pasta. I don't know if this is after the fatty pork that I needed. I remember something I got like 10 years ago they still have this here. I remember getting this dish specifically and loving it anyway. You have some meatloaf. You have to get some potatoes. for me super smooth i go through these food obsession stages where for months i will be obsessed with a particular type of food so i went through my clam chowder stage to my buffalo chicken wings stage which took me all the road to buffalo had my burger stage my pizza stage and i had a meatloaf stage believer and i was obsessed with meatloaf i bought meatloaf everywhere i cooked meatloaf at home and that's why i i came here and i had to buy one of the most tender and flavorful versions of meatloaf i've ever had that's why i just saw how you got the potatoes not too bad oh this takes effort it's kinda cheap of lamb and it doesn't come off the ball easily it was a Lambie tug of war with no flavors good and ample you can whisper a piece of the meat away from the ball not bad I think this piece had been sitting there too long the lamp in the buffet death strikes again so when you have something no other hotel buffet has it's like a wheel of colored fries potato pancakes it's basically fries and there are different toppings on top so i got ricotta cheese and pomegranate it tastes like would you put cheese and pomegranate on top of some chips not bad especially cooked chips quite crispy and buttery which we traditionally have in the
seafoodportion of my meal in terms of cold
seafoodnot much I think I'll see tonight here on the weekends week there's some king crab otherwise there's snow crab some natural shellfish dishes we'll get to in a bit but I've got to take a little break from eating eating some snow crab especially, I'm not even kidding about this, eating crab from the buffet is how Asians take a break to rest so they can go eat more food.
Asians are so devastating about eating crab there where Red Lobster first offered all you can eat crab I think this was around 1997 or 96 the first night they were offered in a small town in Quincy Illinois my uncle wintered over and made sure it was the last time he was offered. I'm not very proud of my uncle for doing that, but I'm going up too. They have a seared red snapper which again I think would have been good if it just came out of the pan now the fish isn't the best here muslims go fishing really not that much ashley's mussels are really good was trying to wait for that they would bring out fish as a new pan so i could taste but it really happens so pred not the best example of their fish but since its not good i would skip it yes the plates are a little small let's go to the main course side And let's have a bigger plate. a sweet chocolate chip and mango vanilla flan desert is one of the highlights of the road until you have one of the best desert sections in Vegas.
This pineapple upside down cake is speaking to the soul right now. on top and just the moistest tender and the jelly cake on the bottom will add a bit but the soy ice cream oh I can give you 50 of these oh so good love them a few moments later oh I have to go back and get a couple more it's camana sticky toffee and it's just right and delicious dear it's like banana bread with a slightly crunchy outer layer I don't know why I love banana dessert so much maybe it's because I'm a cute not sure but i do love it a lot place in vegas a lot of aphasia davines dessert section not all items taste good and look good haircut so good trim some courage buttery soft this pineapple upside down cake might be my favorite dessert at any buffet in Vegas this dessert is what it's all about it's just good but you know you'll be with us later that's probably one of the highlights of this birthday for me nice lava cake - all good, Let's talk about whether the treat has become a better buffet since I last ate here about four years ago.
The most uniquely delicious taco staple here is probably that really greasy pork belly. I mean, I've never tasted anything like this before in my life. last year this place that i still maintain has one of the best dessert sections of any in vegas if this was just a buffet sitting somewhere with no competition i would say it would be pretty spectacular but this is vegas every Hotels are a buffet, there are a lot of big names, so let's compare it to some of the others. Can you play the Bacchanalia buffet as the best in Las Vegas?
Sorry, not even close. The steak was good. for the delay you got vodka now serves which is by far the best shot of any buffet in Vegas seafood wise. I know this isn't seafood night but the raw section of the selections still doesn't compare to the balconies at all so overall out of five I'll probably give this place 3.8 and out of all the buffets I've had so far I think it's definitely better than the evil spoon but far below the Bachner just like many other greats like la cara the people who work here are the sweetest people to cook they are all the people nicer and i didn't try some of the dishes like the roast chicken or the turkey because it seems like a long drive the overall selection is good but definitely doesn't have items again like the doctor i swear i don't work for the balcony i'm just being completely unbiased here which is still by far the best buffet in vegas not close guys not even close so the highlights here are the pork belly tacos the steak shishito peppers and definitely that dessert bar, like I said, I feel like their dessert here at the Wynn is probably one of the best of any buffet in Vegas and the price is pretty comparable, around $50, so there you go, that's my
