s. Trevor Noah of course is about to leave he's leaving The Daily Show for the next chapter of his career huh but he did a very good job interviewing Will Smith and Will Smith is still being very apologetic and he knows the big headline was that well it was all the rage this morning and

said he understands if some people aren't ready to see it in a movie yet and then it became another point of discussion again. with some people saying ok why will smith keep apologizing for this and then other people saying i will never forget you know they will never forgive will smith huh sebastian says why are people supporting ok now its emancipation huh well this movie by the way was greenlit and i believe in the can before i even had that incident because you know movies work way in advance because it takes a long time to edit and everything and they find a good release date for it especially if its an awards movie it has to come out during the awards season for the most part so that was a big talking point today so i wanted to address it because on one hand i agree that it can seem very hypocritical you know there's hypocrisy because people like Sean Penn, Brad Pitt, Amber Heard, they can still work and yet Will Smith is still stuck apologizing for just one slap while other people in Hollywood are accused of doing much worse things, much worse things, look at Arnold Schwarzenegger what he did to him . him, his family and his wife, you know there are really difficult things that have happened and people ask why a slap completely ruined Will Smith's career, so I understand that people feel that's why, but I also wanted to explain why Kevin Spacey didn't get a new movie Rodrigo Kevin Spacey is only working in places where, like him, Kevin Spacey is getting work like on the fringes of Hollywood.

He wouldn't even call it the fringes of Hollywood. Someone has a movie camera and decided to make a movie with uh Kevin Spacey no one in the industry will touch Kevin Spacey Kevin Spacey hasn't come back uh so I wouldn't say you know there have been no repercussions for Kevin Spacey you have to be careful with that uh hey hey another Danny uh you uh no problem Rodrigo uh you know you have to be you really have to watch and see where the movie is coming from so Harlequin Dove has said my

point Harlequin Dove points out that it's because it was live and on air in front and um and on the air in front of everyone and that's a big deal so he did this in public on camera there's a record of that and with these other incidents they happened in private so you can feel how you know that you can decide if you feel it even happened in the

place you can decide uh what was the degree of severity of the action you know it's not the same as seeing it point blank in front of everyone so that makes a big difference you know something people uh no you think these other people did the things they're accused of, or you think it doesn't seem so bad, so that's an incident That's one aspect that makes this different, the other thing is that it was a professional setting .

I think we'll see here. Stephen Turner says Academy's YouTube lists Adrian Brody's non-consensual kiss as a good point Stephen. I do agree that Adrian Brody doing that to Halle Berry was inappropriate however Halle Berry has never spoken if Halle Berry said that it can be awkward I think they would obviously you know they should stop bringing that up but you know I think that that wasn't appropriate he did it for sure and i feel bad for halle berry because she put me in that situation huh but huh but you know halle berry laughed so it was taken as if that was funny huh?

Because remember Adrian Brody said who wouldn't want to kiss Halle Berry and you're like you can't run and just grab Halle Berry it's totally inappropriate but anyway this is a professional setting if Will Smith slapped Chris Rock in a private party, not even an industry event which wouldn't have been appropriate either but if it had been like half, hey Dexter, if it had happened in their own private lives, that would be different. I mean, for it to happen at an industry event is also not appropriate, that adds to the gravity, so there's another problem and Will Smith crossed over. the four of them broke the fourth wall of someone being onstage and that is very scary for performers especially since it was done by another performer who should know better so you know you've seen other people repeat that and attack comedians in particular and feel that. okay so you know I'm not going to say that never happened before but I think you know it's escalated since Will Smith did that so I think it's a problem so there's that element yeah Will Smith in your interview. said you know you never know what's going on with people and people might be having a hard time and sometimes they just can't take it anymore and I think that's true um that's certainly fair but that's which actually explained the problem. against the argument against itself and then you say yes everyone in this auditorium hey Francesca everyone in the auditorium is having a hard time so if you say it's okay for you to act then everyone will start doing it that's why it's even more important to hold the line of what is appropriate behavior in that kind of environment huh so I think those are the elements that create a problem huh I think it's hypocritical not to punish these other individuals huh so you know that that's a problem that Hollywood often has and also, of course, race becomes an issue as well.

I think well, let me get to these comments and then I'll talk about what I think about moving forward. assault like that they go to jail and Will Smith won't do it because well you wouldn't necessarily go to jail the other person has to press assault for assault charges and I don't think you know Chris they asked Chris Rock if he wanted to press charges for assault and he said no which I agree with I think Chris Rock just wanted it to go away um and then I also think people would maybe be mad at him for doing that but that's the situation and then I say which is not my place to forgive or blame Will Smith it's just disappointing that this mistake is being left out which should have been a great moment for a lot of people including Will Smith exactly it's very tragic it's very tragic what It happened to Will Smith, I think everyone feels bad for Will Smith, but you know he still did something that's really horrible.

I mean, you could feel sympathy for someone and yet, and still feel like it was wrong, it's going to be okay. He says he punched another black man on camera and later apologized to the white man. Academy, while I can certainly see where you're coming from, uh, I feel like the academy has gotten a lot more diverse. I mean, you saw who was in the room and you immediately went to talk to Will Smith about it. I've also been sitting there and I've been like look how beautiful the world is so I liked that he commented on that and then he also talked about his character and said I'm using this moment as an actor so I loved watching him work and seeing the clip he posted on all Will Smith's social media accounts, it's really good, it makes me want to watch the movie and he's a good actor and I thought he was amazing in King Richard. He deserved that Oscar. I'm glad they didn't make you return it. To be honest, he wouldn't have asked Will Smith to give him that Oscar back.

I think that would be a step. too far huh and it's not banned forever I think it's too long maybe I'd give it up for I don't know 10 years I don't know it will be interesting to see what the reaction is when I come back I know a number of people in the industry are very upset about this behind doors closed I know they're very angry I think because that's something that's just not done I think a lot of people say oh it's not that important but think about if you're on the receiving end of it imagine if you were at workin a work environment and someone was mad at you and they slapped you in front of everyone else I think you would be pretty upset and feel that this was not appropriate behavior and if you were the boss of said people you would say I can't let this go i feel so much i like them both it's really bad you just can't do that i saw someone tweet and i thought this was right, that the only way will smith could probably save his image would be to divorce jada pinkett smith and he's not even happy um, and I think a lot of us think that was very, there was a lot of complex stuff going on. because of his marriage and people showed a lot of evidence that it's been very difficult, particularly in recent years, but I think if he doesn't do that, if he doesn't make a really big change, then it seems like he just lost his temper rather than a event that changed his life.

I think that's interesting. Let me answer these other questions and then I'll finish that thought. You know, sometimes the Amazon Prime stuff has an audience. yeah Trisha I really wish she would do the Tower of Terror movie instead of Disney which at least it's supposed to produce but she's doing this first it's direct to Siri so she's definitely going to huh and she's going to switch genres . the main role in the original was a male reporter a reporter from Florida who goes to cover the last days a reporter from Florida in distress who goes to cover the last days of a death row inmate and they make him a female role and I love that I think sometimes when they change the genre of a role it can be really interesting, uh, I think that's particularly good for Scarlett Johansson and I think watching her play a struggling Florida reporter gives me Aaron Brockovich Vibes . be your Erin Brockovich Scarlett Johansson and she's kind of fingers crossed Grace so I like this oh yeah it's also a bit like the walking dead man in her current progressive set now this is where it gets even better in 1995, she was one of her first roles as a child was in the adaptation of this book as a movie where Sean Connery changed the character to a teacher and it was Sean Connery is called Just Cause And she played his daughter so when I do the tour press for this is going to be great little story i mean they're already using it huh but i think it's very clever so i like it i think it's a good idea i'm like i like circle so i'm really curious to see how it combines this but good for her so that's the second story of the day wait for the third story of the day boom baby that's the Prime video spending money left and right because they also picked up the new Channing Tatum action movie from 87 North, which is premiering on Violent Night on Friday again, my review goes up around 7 p.m. i feel like it could be a little better summer 87 north projects look a little cheap to me but channing tatum will star with david leach directing and simon kinberg is the one who came up with the idea sometimes simon kindberg can be pretty good but he really ruined his run with the latest X-Men movie so we'll see the only thing that's known about it is it's called a red shirt so I wonder if it's a red shirt that would be funny huh channing tatum is so funny um it's an international spy thriller and he did a really good job on the lost city with sandra bullock i thought he did a good job and i thought his next magic mike movie i thought the trailer was good the funniest thing about the trailer was the ending from the trailer where a woman said oh at a party he was bartending and she said do I know you, you look familiar and she says are you a police officer? he actually came to a party where she was dressed like a police officer like a stripper and he said I think I let you out with a warning and I said that's a great line he did the whole trailer which actually it was just an announcement for the next Magic Mike Vegas show now this leads me to an additional comment I wanted to make which was if you're watching Chippendales and I'm in front of you because I'm looking at the screeners that I was given and it's okay huh says Tricia Grace, why isn't Wednesday on Prime video?

If MGM does it, uh, not everyone gets their own stuff, production companies are different than the people they release and I don't even know if MGM does Wednesday. I don't know if that's in my head, huh, but that's why some Warner Brothers stuff is on Netflix, not everyone, you know, not everyone gets their own stuff, which is weird, but anyone, but also thank goodness because no one would have seen it well. so anyway it was interesting to me because i was watching chippendales and i was wondering how is the chippendales show today so i went on their website and i was like wow this looks almost exactly like magic mike so i realized that Magic Mike The Vegas Show is going to compete with Chippendales and Thunder from Down Under, the two strip shows that Vegas currently has, which is interesting to me and also made me realize that Channing Tatum, his Magic movies Mike, they're extremely accurate.

I nailed it, that's exactly what it looks like in the male world of stripping, but Chippendales is fine, the only problem is that Camille and Johnny are playing a horrible, unlikable character, and I think it's not written well enough to to do that. interesting but ok it has a lot of nudity though uh and also some of it is very cool they recently showed the New York show uh like Rocky Horror Picture which they put on and I thought it was an awesome show but yeah , I would I would give Chip and Dales as a b, not even a B, plus a b, you know they could see me.

I would say that I think it would be better as a binge. It has tons of Beefcake. It has Beefcake as far as the eye can see. I have three minutes for you to ask me questions and then I scotch to go.
