Will it run after 59 years 1953 Plymouth cranbrook

Plymouth this old lady has been sitting for about 59years
so since 1964 and well she's been sitting sideways upside down every which way she's got an engine here let's get her going as you can see running a car out of water in there you can see so that's never a good sign let's get that head out of there and hopefully it's not such a bad open floor plan you can go in there and check the mileage sitting in 70K 26 miles not too bad it's missing the rear back there and also this whole side at one point it was a two door the floor pans are pretty solid as is the trunk pan it just gave it This whole side is missing and the roof well I guess we're going to get this radiator out of the way somehow and wash it down hopefully it's not too bad down there.I'll put the garden hose on huh it doesn't really matter if we water it because well that's it we water it and we're ripping its head off anyway weird the dirt probably wouldn't hurt it either but our impact was only enough to get one out the rest of these won't even move as you can see here ok maybe huh that's weird try another good one then i don't know what it is all of a sudden it works the head the rest of the way and i have to say so far everything is well connected i mean a little bit of rust there is oil because it was backwards which is great there is some dirt here from this valve being open for those
years
it's not really rusty no that It's all there and water, there's a little rust here, a little rust there, but it's in better shape than the Chevy truck last week.I'm going to go ahead and think we're going to buy her back and let her set with some acetone and PB blaster and some diesel fuel mix and say we'll have this old lady running here plz I'm amazed what a good shape . This engine is and yes this one has quite a bit of rust it has a little bit but this one has a little bit of pitting and stuff on that side but overall in pretty good shape for what it was. all of a sudden this is a bunch of rust building up on top of the head gasket looking for moisture and stuff but we're going to get this head gasket out of here and maybe we won't get it out of here, here we go.
I'm going to reuse this and it's time to do what we did on the other one back there we're going to pour some acetone in these and set them on fire let it burn all the oil and stuff in these cylinders and this one is going to get a little acid muriatic and this might get a little too much just to clean it up because the Rings aren't going to slide off it's been sitting for about 30 minutes now we're going to do the right thing and try not to make such a mess because this is pretty flammable we're on fire here and burning and we're going to let it burn like that until all of that burns out, think of this engine that might have aluminum pistons.
I assumed it had steel but hey we might have to buy this back before it puts a hole in the piston getting the muriatic acid sitting there for about 35 minutes started trying to eat away at the pistons but that should have been enough to get the rust out of there ok no nuts just squeezing look what we get here just sparks no we'll try one more time but we'll probably have to get the old starter out of there come on so here's why The main reason our starter wouldn't work was just clicking all this rust in here is because this bad boy won't budge and we're also going to go ahead and clean this part the brushes and stuff but first that we have nothing to get there.
The outside was not working. you can see it has filled with water over the years and this inspection cover over there was not removed you see all the rust all over this side over there that would be why the starter is another reason why the one the starter is on doesn't work oh that's dirt that's rust that's all rust that's all rust so I'm going to clean this off with the garden hose and a little bit of acetone and sand down a lot and we're going to put it together and she should work ok she's not moving it I thought she was staring for a minute and that should relax her it worked on that old 37 so it should work on this foreign with everything from acetone to acid muriatic, for about a week and finally figured out find out why it won't turn over if you look down here in this hole there's a hole in the cylinder wall now it wasn't there but underneath it was cracked at one point this block has frozen because there has been water on this side and it blew out or had a Crackdown that this ring got caught on this piston and that has been holding the engine that is why all these pistons
will
pop and this one won't this one is holding us back let's have a race let's do the right thing and get that piston out of there with a nice Harbor Freight two pound hammer and chisel and make it spin and make it run.It may not run as well, but it
will
run. Cylinder one removed and I got rid of that piston. It looks like we have to remove cylinder six because this one is stuck in the same way as this one, but I don't think there are any cracks in the cylinder wall. In this one, she bounces a lot. better up and down, look at that, now she's trying to move, but this number six, the Pistons, still holding us back. we're going to do the same thing we did to this piston here with that one back there and we'll have a third of the power and we'll use a third of the amount of fuel and she should still run the bit but we chiseled that went out and the engine started to spin up so we're going to test the starter and hopefully it spins up pretty good ok it's going to work it spins up pretty good that bit of piston in the front is holding us up.Go ahead and wipe the dots up are a bit sticky, as you can see they're stuck open right now. Wide open, weird spots where they're sparking, now here we go, so we're good there. tidy up all figured out and we'll put some oil in there and flip it over and she should shoot just them four I mean she's trying she's getting too much air come on there we go alright I'd love to smoke clear for a second thanks she run she did run to the old one and it didn't run that good it ran pretty good because it was missing two pistons and all of a sudden it flipped over and the whole thing filled with water for 59 years, thanks for looking and please consider leaving a like or subscribing we have a lot more great, will it work coming to the channel and we will see it in the next video?
