There's an old saying that you stay in the barbershop long enough sooner or later you're going to get a haircut to get something you never had you have to do something you never did you never did if you're not in the room where the changes are taking place you they are in the patio where the consequences are received register before March 1st and we are going to go to the book of Genesis chapter number 8 verse 15 to 22 and I am going to ask them to stand up for the reading of the word hallelujah I am going to read an NIV version of the scriptures

you have to be a man then God said to Noah get out of the ark you and your wife your children their wives take out all kinds of living creatures that are with you the birds the animals and all the animals that are move on the earth to multiply on the earth and be fruitful and multiply on it, so Noah went out with his sons and his wife and his sons' wives all the animals and all the animals that they move on the earth earth and all the birds everything that moves on the earth came out of the ark one time after another so Noah built an altar to the Lord and taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds he sacrificed burnt offerings on it is what I want you to look at the smell of the Lord the pleasure of Rome the Lord smelled the pleasant aroma and said that it is harsh I will never again curse the earth because of humans although every inclination of the human heart is bad from childhood and I will never again destroy all living creatures as I have as long as the Earth endures the time of planting and harvesting the cold and the heat the summer and the winter the day and the night will never cease can the church save man again to God smell the Lord smelled this is what got me going this morning the lord smelt the sweet scent and said in his heart i will never curse the ground again thats good i want to talk about

there are some things as i have in my heart to share with you this morning i am so excited i feel like a little kid on christmas eve something is about to happen in this place today something happens in your life in your heart between you and god when god smells someone wants to honor God this morning someone willing to honor God in such a way that you then break a curse on your life with it anyone wants to honor God in such a way that it closes a door on your story and says never again no one wants to honor God again in such a way that it shuts out the past and opens up a bright new future and prepares you for what God is about to do with your life shout out amen father I pray that these lips of clay be endowed and anointed by your grace and power and in such a supernatural way that we are able to be infused with life and give what you have put inside of us without restraint bind every demon and every evil spirit that stands in the way of what you would have done today.

I think in advance about what you are about to do. move in the midst of your people in the name of Jesus we pray someone who loves him shouts a man you can sit in the presence of God yes let's go to work I have been very very busy this week I have been on various retreats I have been preaching everywhere I have been preaching so much I don't even know what day it is or what time is one of the interesting things that one of the sessions I was in this week said, we were talking in a team of pastors and we go out on a retreat every year and they were talking about how important it is that you rehearse the simplistic stories of the bible because we can no longer assume today that the congregation knows the word it used to be that a text like this is so elementary that it wouldn't even rehearse the text but let me explain that one day God He said it wasn't going to rain and told Noah to build an ark.

Now you must understand that he had never rained before, so Noah didn't know exactly what. the rain was like that he is building something he doesn't even understand and yet he builds an ark an art that seems ridiculous to his neighbors and friends but he builds an ark and as God has said he says I will take the righteous from his family and I will put them inside the ark because man is so evil that the evil has become so destructive and so overwhelming that I am going to start this whole process all over again and I want you and your three sons ham Shem and Japheth to go into the ark with your wives and together the eight souls sealed with all the animals so that they could gather representatives of all the animals two by two and the Lord closed the door of the ark and it began to rain dripping dripping dripping little by little the rain became so penetrating that the ark begins to rise and his heart began to rise and take his buoyancy he began to sail for forty days and forty nights while the earth itself went under the water and finally finally when the waters receded ederon Noah comes to a resting place on top of a m mountain and it's funny how God will take you where he wants you to be Noah comes to a resting place on top of a mountain and our text begins at this stage of the story when the door of the ark opens and God begins to speak to him and I want to talk a little bit about everything that God really wants us to understand about this incredible experience that happened during the antediluvian age and what it means not only is there so much which means I could talk all day about it, on the one hand, I think God wants us to understand that he provides a safe place for his children, that no matter what happens around you, that if you belong to him, he will always put you in a safe place and on the one hand I want you to understand that God opens doors and God closes doors and when God closes a door no man can open it I think he wants us to understand that when a door is open we have to sei take every opportunity to maximize that moment without assuming that the door will remain open that everything you are going to do for God you must do it now that if you are going to accept it you have to accept it now and if you are going to receive it in your life that there is no guarantee that the opportunity remains open for you I think he wants you to take that out of it I think he wants you to understand that the buoyancy of a new beginning is often symbolized by the water that Noor and her children were actually baptized in the oceans and waters I think he wants you to understand the advantage of being a believer that Noah built by faith for the salvation of his house and that ministry begins at home not in a church I think he wants you to understand that he is more concerned about winning your family than winning your friends than impressing other people than beating some people up or if their cars and crosses around r around your neck they had Bibles in their hand and you are not who you say you are inside your own home, I think you want us to understand that if the love of Christ is going to show itself, it is you who appears first in the way you live outside the Sunday morning.

I think he wants you to understand that he has a way of designing a safe place, so safe that no matter how violent things are outside, you can have peace inside and I think that's a real problem today. finding peace on the inside is written ahead of time in the world when the whole world is going crazy every time you turn on the news you see something that makes you want to throw up god says i want to isolate you the bible says art was released inside and without in such a way that Noah and his family were safe, I think he wants to understand that they were safe and that they were safe and I think that the Ark is figurative of the church, but I also think that he wants you to understand that even though he was safe and s Afe was kinda smelly imagine being locked up in an ark for 40 days and 40 nights with all kinds of animals and no toilets and no toilets and just one window I think he wants us to admit the fact that you could be a Christian to be a believer and be surrounded by other believers that can still stink in there.

I think he doesn't want us to be under any illusions that his gear is air conditioned, that it's climate controlled, that you think everything is fine. he's going to be comfortable all the time. I think he wants you to understand that in the course of dealing with other people, they bring their own drama into the atmosphere and that every living thing contributes to the smell, including you, so you don't become judgmental. and he started talking about the person next to you and what they did and how horrible they are, i think he wants you to understand that we all bring a certain stink with ourselves with our Handclap with our feet taking with our love of Jesus and the Bible said the scripture quoting him singing to himself we all bring a certain stench that you have to learn to live with i think he wants you to understand that the stench on the inside is better than the storm on the outside so before you quit the church and say no I wanna be in the stitch, just remember it's the stench or the storm.

How many people would rather have the stench than have the storm? I know the church has a lot. of problems and many issues that are many things to Noah, but that period is not so bad when you think about the storm that is happening outside, do you hear what I am saying today? but there is something deeper that I want you to see this morning about the ark because because of this there are certain things about God that never change he is what he is his methods may change but he is who he is you must understand that we must perceive God first from the scriptures only by his deeds and his actions and his works among the people and when I look at the ark I begin to understand that God works with cocoons yes he will he will put you in a place of protection to develop that the way you enter is not always It's like you get that this incubation that he does with Noah not only brings us a historical context of how God dealt with the flood and how God recreated a new environment for man to inhabit, but I think it fits how God handles us as well, so he put you in a cocoon sometime in a waiting place sometime make you wait sometime make you endure something sometime God has a way of holding you as you develop and open up at the door until everything is ready for you to move from a smaller place to a much bigger place no wonder he says love scorned today a small beginning the god hatches greatness in small places in tight places in isolated places that God will hold you back until everything is ready and being him will open a door for you people are amazed to know that I spent the first 10 years of my life shepherding less than a hundred people on the back of a mountain in a city with a stop light in red and they told me the tv says yes yes but let me tell you something god. starting small puts him in a cocoon where he can work on you and work on your attitude and work on your leadership and work on your character and work on your disposition and work on your integrity and work on your ruthlessness and some of you are trying to get out of the womb but I want to warn you that it is dangerous to get out of there women will have two more pregnancies and if the baby does not stay in the room or the baby starts to stay out of the In general the baby does not survive because when God wraps you it is for your own protection.

I want to talk to someone who is so obsessed with his own life and frustrated with his own circumstances that you've been praying for God to get you. of something I want to tell you that you feel comfortable and wait for someone to understand what I'm saying. I want you to see when we look at the arches something about how God hatches greatness into cocoons and I want you to understand something about God because when I looked at the arch and I started thinking about the arch floating in all that water and all that would live by being in the arch I start I'm beginning to see a pattern I'm beginning to see a pattern I'm beginning to see that the same God who gave Noah the direction to build the ark is the same God who gave the bug the cocoon that the very nature that Noah is is doing what God he told it to do but it is also imitating what nature is teaching us about gestation that God puts the insect in the cocoon so that it can discover itself so that when it comes out it will be bigger than it was when it went in so that it can be protected in its early stages of development that God will conclude sometimes in greatness so that you don't give the reward immediately that you can get your wing s immediately you may not take flight immediately you may not c If you do right away you may not find happiness right away then sometimes God has to put you in a cocoon so you can find out who you really are and you have to have enough faith to stay where you are he put you until he opens the door to take you to life next dimension without dragging yourself towards your own destruction am i speaking right this woman and it occurred to me that the womb that will bend the bow and the cocoon are not new? ideas that what God did not have to do with the bow had been done when God built the woman that the woman was the first art that God would form the woman do not listen to what I say but when he put Adam in a dream and then he built woman from Adam who built her with the womb so that the world would have life and suddenly I saw a connection between this and this and this I will hear a woman speak to me well now that when God made woman from man and man man woke up and sold the woman he doesn't start talking about her hair her makeup her nails or the like what got him was she was a man with a womb so he called a woman oh you what I tell you you have to understand thatwhen god god is showing you his methods this is a pattern that continues to occur throughout the bible that when god is ready to say anything he puts you in a controlled environment to incubate you for what he will do next in that life. it's in the womb that life is in the cocoon that life is in the bow that God creates this to protect you so what might feel like a prison might be a promise Oh then someone's gonna trap me here in a minute what it might feel like like a prison What could be restrictive?

What could be awkward? What could be tight? Me talking to this morning I don't know about you but I had to stay in some tight places I understand some places that were a little stinky I came to play I had to stay in some places that were a little sticky I had to stay in some places that were k un Little tight and I was wondering how long Lord how long will I be there how long before I get my breakthrough how long before the job comes how long before I give the money how long before I can breathe how long before I get but god knew how long to hold on to protect what i had put in my hands are you following what i am telling you?

Tessa might say hold on look you don't want to abort your promise because of your impatience or you can say that's too good to ignore you don't want to abort your promise because of your impatience you want to go through the whole process whether it's 40 days or not lunch sir no let me give birth to something that has not fully developed in my life here thank you for stopping me thank you for the doors you didn't open thank you for the things you didn't release look i can't get out of this look at each one of these each one of these each one of these feel stuck if you're in this argh you feel stuck if you're in this cocoon they charge you I'm stuck if you're in this womb you feel stuck you can't live on your feelings because God doesn't put you in an ark to be comfortable and appease your emotions puts you in a place to protect yourself until the storm passes until the test is over until the test is over and in the fullness of the way those who hope in the Lord will renew their forces serve top whistle just watching someone said just wait til i get out of this just wait til i get out of this this just wait til i get out of this just wait til it's dark right now but just wait til i get out of this i'm broke now but just wait til i get out of this app only right now but just wait til i get out of this no one knows me now but just wait just wait just wait just wait just wait just wait just wait just wait just wait just wait just wait I got out of my bed this morning to tell someone just wait I put on my clothes this morning to tell someone just wait I'm dre ssed and I came down the road to tell someone just wait when the storm is over and the door opens God goes going to do something new in your life can i get 30 seconds of praise let me go a little further i want to go a little further there are all kinds of bows that god casts the woman was the first it was not the only one the ark that Noah built was the next one but it was not the only one Egypt was a womb where God incubated the nation of Israel they entered as a family and left as a nation God incubated them for 400 years of slavery and the bible says how much but they afflicted them the more they grew I want to talk to someone who is incubated in a place of affliction that the more the Lord afflicts you, in fact, the Ark of the Covenant itself is a cocoon the Ark of the Covenant in the temple is a cocoon for harbor the life-giving power of the Word of God and the truth of God and the relevance of God and one day God himself decided to come in a cocoon so he wrapped himself If in the flesh they do not hear what I say, he poured out his glory from himself and honor and he approached a Virgin Mary and said: I need to build myself an ark so that I can come from eternity on time and he said let me use your body for some construction and we contemplated the wonder of his glory the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth its T oy on a roll with this thing about the wolf he is working on something with this wolf this me I wonder this little piece of time in your life that God shuts you up and shuts you up to be able to get you stronger you had a little piece of your life if you understand that a man me to leave the other thing that fascinated me about texas he said god talks to noah and his family while they are still in the dark he doesn't wait until they come out to talk to them but texas while they were still in the art garden he started talking to them and that made me thankful because sometimes the only time i could stand to be in the ark he said God have you ever had God spoke to you in a narrow place yes yes yes yes God speaks to them in the arch and tells him to get out of the arch and through for some reason he made me go to chapter 1 of Jeremiah where Jeremiah and God have an encounter and God said before he formed you in the womb he knew our danger and I tell him look everyone loves you when you go out but we have a God who is doing all kinds of things in your life while you are still locked up and the Lord announced to him that it was time to get out.

I prepared everything for you to come out. You've been there long enough now. I'll get you out The Dory is open. You can go out. I do not know who I am. i'm talking this morning but you've been closing it too long god is saying it's time it's time to go out find someone say it's time to go out when god opens the door don't stand there afraid to walk through the door when god opens a door for you don't be afraid to move on to the next area can i go deeper you see we like s talk about coming out and we like to dance about coming out we like to sing about coming out but coming out is traumatic coming out your asshole getting out of a hole getting out of the arch can be scary it can be hard it's like there isn't an inmate in jail who doesn't want to get out of prison until they open the door and realizes getting out is scary what new can being scary the new can be intimidating God never takes you out of a cocoon into something smaller he doesn't take babies out of wounds and put them in mason jars if god opens the womb he will lead you into something that is so much bigger bigger than you were before they dated could be kind of scary who do I mean? we like to think about it we like to yell about it we like to talk about it but when the door is open and you realize i've been in my little world so long that you're moving out into a bigger place it means i can't know the language I may not know who to trust I may not know how I act I am a and I don't know who to talk to they are dating and leaving a home for the baby it is traumatic I learned a lot being in the delivery room with my wife she was having a baby i was having class first i found out that babies don't look like the pictures on tv they come out they're kind of messy and they're kind of bruised RNA and they kind of have a bad smell and all that's not like the tv I wanted her to have the Gerber baby, you know, the cute fat baby that they turn into about five weeks later, but when they first come out there's a reason they wake up screaming because the birth is traumatic. ico, all the bones have to move, everything has to share. birth is disruptive come on talk to someone birth means all systems have to change to accommodate what God is about to do in your life and those contractions are for a reason because everything around you has to move to be ready for the growth that has happened to you while you were locked in t the world get out get out where you are get out get out where you are i can go deeper with this it occurred to me that noah and his kids were saved and their wives were saved but it must have been very traumatic just think about it for a minute to be in the ark and hear the call outside and the screams and the drowning and be the only one left imagine if everything outside this church blew up was bombed or flooded or destroyed and we survived just us and on one hand you're happy you made it but you're stepping into something you've never experienced before a bit like baby's bruised body sometimes the release is traumatic sometimes it's better trauma It's traumatic sometimes bigger it's traumatic it's scary you can see it with college you graduated and got your degree in you standing there thinking now what am I here now what do I do outside this controlled environment outside this prison outside this room outside this cocoon outside of this bow and yet God named him Noah has a grandson through Cush named Nimrod Nimrod builds a great Kingdom one of the kingdoms he controlled would become Nineveh that great city Nineveh is founded by Nimrod and where Nimrod what Nimrod does is build a tower called the Tower of Babel later, where that tower would be built would be called Babylon, are you listening to what I'm saying now?

Josephus the historian says look at this, Nimrod not only built the tower in defiance of God, he built it partly out of fear of the flood in case this happens again Oh you guys were with me this morning in case this happens again I'm going to build something high enough to escape the flood because Nimrod is still angry and traumatized by what his father went through because Nimrod wasn't alive in the flood but trauma passes through generations oh come on come on come on come on come on generation look at some of the nervousness you have you inherited recent psychology Logical reports have been made on survivors of the Holocaust several generations later, their DNA has been altered by what their great-grandparents went through.

Now LeBron is fighting against the experience of his father and trying to build a challenge against something he himself couldn't even. I go deeper Can I go deeper with this? I want you to understand that this is what happens with Nimrod said Nimrod built out of fear Noah built out of faith Are you building out of fear or are you building out of faith? The Bible says Noah being warned by God of things not yet seen built an ark for the salvation of his house he did it by faith he did it for what he did why yes by faith Lord being warned by God of things not yet you see he built an ark for the salvation of his house to all of you who are building my faith whatever you build my faith will affect your children and your children's children this is bigger than you faith is contagious faith is continuous faith happens now i know they wont look like throw it out right now but sooner or later if you build it on faith they were having an awakening not built on faith and nimrod built on fear anger and negativity thats why you have to Watch your attitude while you build, it's not just what you built. but why you built it isn't that you're quiet that's why you're quiet see some of you are so afraid to be loved be known be found out be real to be honest that you've built a silent wall of defense around you to protect yourself and now God is calling you to do things that are out of your comfort zone because you built towers but Noah when he comes out doesn't build the tower even though he's been through the trauma Noah it's not like no one had the right to build a tower you know how to be Noah after all Noah already knows how to build number two Noah is the one who has been through the trauma and yet the one who experienced it doesn't build a tower he built an altar what do you do when you go through something that was automatic and terrifying or you build a tower to protect yourself or you build an altar to submit which one are you going to build when the storm is over everyone builds something everyone in the story builds something but Noah built an al tar living rock built a tower What are you working on?

Can I get into this good Almighty God? Nimrod built a tower because he did not trust that God would protect him. I will protect myself. and we will be safe. I will build a tower to heaven because when you've been through trauma, you always build something. Know. I love this church when it is quiet. Everyone else loves church when there are shelves. Because when we shut up, it means you're saying what was I, I don't know, but I bet your spouse knows because they have to live in or with or through what you built. Oh Oh, you all look like you. i just swallowed a canary sometimes you build things you never ev I know you built, sometimes you back off, you don't even know why you're back off, sometimes you're mad, you don't even know why you're mad, you didn't even realize you were building this tower that God will make. you have to tear it down and that the ashes and the destruction of that tower would produce a Babylon that would affect all of history because you couldn't handle the trauma of what you went through that's why this text is so powerful because Noah opens the door after going through the trauma to a world you have never seen acknowledging the fact that the ark is a way of being born again you come out of the womb as a baby born into a new experience and a new world and before you build a house a market a grocery store anything the first thing he builds is an altar the problem with us is that we build ultra laughter with his other bills our ultraverse Oh help me Holy Spirit we bill our altar after we've done everything else we can do and when nothing else works then w We say why , I guess I'll just pray that there's nothing left to do, but I pray that you don't.praythe last one prays first no one imagined this with me hey daddy we don't have a house I'm not worried about the house baby I'm building this altar we better have children if we have family we have things where you have nothing to do dime the rules there are no roads there is nothing everything it's chaos nothing until i build a raider security bus oh i wish i had some kingdom secrets the bible says seek first the kingdom of heaven in all this justice and everything else will be Besides you see you're trying to get your own and you give God what's left but if you give God everything else first you're vibe with me you annoy me you feel that way so the first thing no wonder nor does it make it to the Hall of faith in Hebrews 11 no I don't just build an ark he takes out the ark and builds an altar where is your altar where is your altar where is the place that only God if I ask you where is your car you know where your car is if I really wear your suit e, do you know where your suit is? is if i should wear your brooch is that you know where your brother is where is your out? no wonder you act the way you do you have a war without an altar and a head he offers a sacrifice outside the Animal Center in the arts and 'everyone understands that it's all we have left that it's really a sacrifice because there's always God when was the last time you gave God your oh no and i'm not just talking about money no no no no no no no i don't mean your everything when was the last time you worshiped and gave him everything when was the last time you you prayed and you gave me Please, when was the last time you gave to God? so noah, who built an ark, say i'm getting into this construction thing or can i talk about it for a minute.

I have to give this to someone I don't know who it's for because if you want it, you have to build it if you want it. is that you have to feel this nobody is going to love you this nobody is going to give you this you are not going to marry this if you want this you have to build it if you want a better life you have to build it if you want a better marriage you have to build it if you want to build it a business you have to build it stop pacing around people shaking your head something for nothing doesn't go on and on you've spent years waiting for people to give you something they'll never give you know got it if you want to argue you have to build it yes you want an altar you have to build it if you want a house you have to build it if you want good credit you have to build it if you want a title you have to build it if you want a business you have to build it if you want to chat you have to I don't go to guys so you can shepherd no i lie to show you the pastor oh my god but i wont die so you can get mad stop trying to kill people put your brain touch my people tell them i have a building that do, I have some construction I have to do I have a building with you I have a building to do I have a building with me I have a building to do I have a building to do if I don't have better I have a building if I don't have love I have a build it if I can have a I have to build a relationship, Miss Nora, I couldn't charge Mr.

Nora's altar each person I don't care how close you are to them each person has to build their own altar I can't charge everyone to tell them I love them I can't bill I can't bring your office but you guys have to have your own altar your your own place you just look for your connection and you have to build it and so Noah builds an altar this morning I'm going to ask you how much are you going to bill what did God put in your life the raw materials that need to be built and his claimant because then any bill I gave him the Woollett I gave him the wood I'm not going to make the chair I gave him the wood and it is whatever it is what it is the result of what you built it you want it to be better build it you want to improve it build it you want a better relationship open your mouth and start communicating it's not going to happen if you don't it won't God bless your business God will bless your business, but he can only bless what you build, he will bless it, but he won't build it, so that means you have to get it. on the phone with people talking about people I'm 62 and I've never met a rich gossip I don't know any rich clients every gossip I meet is broke because rich people don't have to be in your business they have to be building their own things, then you get the Fragazza disc back because if you take them to my business you don't have time to take care of yourself, all those who annoy people said that they build, build, this is missing.

I'm almost done but is someone get something out of this word this this is really to be honest this is really a weird bible story it's not really a great bible story because all these people are dead except eight people this is a catastrophe this is a calamity of gigantic proportions these Eight people may be therapy, counseling perhaps, they may need medication, no wonder Nimrod freaks out and the question becomes, how do you respond to God when he does something you don't like? If they come out of my post these dead the true test of a true son is how you answer what i did something you don't like the bible says if you make a heisman chest then they are sons they are not bastards if you are an illegitimate son with a prize on the chest you can go but if you really are my son with tears in your eyes you will come back to me because you came out of me come on here is someone God said the proof of parentage is how you react to unpleasant things anyone can praise him when he is doing things that you like them you can praise them in a kidney machine you can praise them in a hospital bed you can praise them by a grave you can praise them when they fire you because you're praising when you're scared now that we're talking about real christians you see how the range of yelling went down a lot because Half the people in the world only praise God when they gave good news, but if you really are his child, you will. praise him with you you don't understand you are crazy when your heart breaks you are praising when you are upset.

This morning's presentation caught my attention. Our new Thomas Dorsey wrote pressures, Sir, but he didn't know the circumstances surrounding him at this time, but four wives dead of the dead may be buried in the same coffin. he stumbles over a piano and builds an altar without understanding why God would give something and take it away he doesn't complain he doesn't get bitter and uses it as an excuse an excuse to go astray he trips over the viana and pins to where his precious Lord take me take my hand carry me let me stand I'm tired I'm weak I'm worn but through the storm yes through the night carry me Lord into the light take my hand I can't get through this without you take my hand precious Lord guide me.

It's that spirit that made Noah come down from the ark and get some wood and build an altar and offered a sacrifice a sacrifice not a tip not a toy to sacrifice a sacrifice means God doesn't want you to keep giving him things you can't feel because if you can't feel it he can't either what makes the sacrifice of the sacrifice is its meaning to you is a statement of value is a statement of value and Noor says I know I should have drowned too you had mercy on me you let me have succeed where others fail you let me in where others were blocked you let me complete what other people stumble there you let me survive what my friends didn't survive even though i did the same thing they did oh you won't talk to me this morning you won't talk to me you're going to talk so i'm building this alton i'm often euthanized in part as an admission of the fact that i should have died too so i offer these animals in my place gar, this is the gospel, you took my place, he offered a sacrifice to God and while he killed the animals, he left them and set them on fire, a burnt offering is always a sin offering.

Oh God, I hope you are blessed without Sharia. Wow, I couldn't wait for you to get here.
