What if Villagers could do Redstone?

May 04, 2020
What if

villagers

could

make Redstone? Can you imagine how cool the villages would be? I mean, they obviously have farms, so they would be completely automated. The blacksmith would have a super foundry. His defense systems would be off the charts. There would be no raids. in these towns would be awesome, so

what

I thought I would do is be the Redstone villager for this video and I'll show up in this town, transform it with Redstone and hopefully we end up with something pretty cool and you know me, I have to start with the defenses. Now these are not going to be particularly technical.

I wouldn't have thought that I can't imagine the

villagers

having weapons. For some reason, they seem pretty peaceful, but. I think it's probably a good idea for them to actually put up some kind of border wall because the raiders they use use weapons in a rather curious way and the zombies seem to have unarmed fists anyway. I just thought: can you imagine how horrible Minecraft would be? a game like how much the game would change if instead of the zombies just hitting you, which is a little unrealistic, they actually tried to eat you, like if you turned the corner and a zombie was eating a villager, that would be horrendous.

More Interesting Facts About,

what if villagers could do redstone...

Anyway, now that I've given everyone, including myself, nightmares for the next two weeks, I'm in the process of removing the trees from the town because as nice as it looked, you

could

n't really see any of the houses. I'm going to be honest with you, okay, I underestimated how long it would take me to build a wall around this town. We're about an hour, hour and a half in and I'm just here regardless. I have built it and it looks very good. I'd say it's been time well spent, but can we please do some Redstone now and just to make it clear that I'm not going to go crazy with Redstone?

I still want it to feel that way. Sticking with

what

would be in vanilla Minecraft, so I think the first thing is to make the entrance and we're going to have a pretty secure entrance to this thing that we're going to have a security guard operating, give me a second, this is Bob Bob , is the security guard and, as you can see, he is a very excitable guy. He also really likes baked potatoes, so if we take one of those and throw it into the system, he'll hopefully open the door for us. no I didn't reach it, here we go, hey I'm a big fan of that, I don't care how simple it is, I love the next step, I think we should look at lighting, see if there is one.

What the villages struggle with a bit is the fact that they aren't really that well lit and that means zombies will eventually find their way there, so I think what I'm going to do is spend some time polishing them up. This kind of road network that they have or lack, I mean, it's everywhere and I'm going to put up some street lights because you know this is 2019, you can't have the lights on all the time. I want them on when you need them, save the planet and all that in terms of the design we're using of course it's a super super simple

redstone

lamp, an inverted daylight sensor on the top hatches so you can see a pole up close a little nicer and a little Log in at the bottom and while we're in the process of placing the

redstone

lamps, we should probably sort these guys out with some flights of stairs because some of these paths are a little dangerous and also put some. safety railings put up just to protect our villagers from falling to their deaths because yeah I imagine that's probably going to happen, they're not exactly the wisest bunch and I don't want to sound too much like a builder or anything but I actually like it very much the way it breaks.
I think it looks pretty good anyway, the first Redstone building I want to build now is a store. I took out some market stores that were in this area. They're a little low-tech and come on. build them with a nice nice shopping mall, shopping, shopping, shopping, shopping, it's definitely not a shopping mall, I'm English, we don't even say shopping mall, I don't know where that came from, this is like quite the opposite of a shopping mall, so you can see that I've built something like, I mean, it's basically an enlarged version of what the villagers already had, but it's big and it looks pretty cool, in fact, it draws a lot of attention. , is definitely the brightest thing in this entire place.
The first thing you see, and I would say that's a good thing because you need to know where you're going to buy your stuff now. If I throw a diamond here everything should work, obviously I currently only have yellow wool. we'll put some more useful things there now, what do the villagers really like? I guess I could put everything that's sold in this store is just a potato you know that's pretty much on par with what I ended up making potatoes carrots bread and chicken we're going to have so many customers in this store that we're not really going to being able to have enough diamonds in the world to meet demand I mean seriously have you seen how quickly the villagers throw carrots and potatoes and bread at each other it's ridiculous anyway these farms definitely need an upgrade we need to add to them some redstone now, of course, these are carrot, potato, wheat and beet farms, so there's nothing, there's nothing too crazy and automated that we can do, obviously, we can't use. villagers inside farms because they're too close to a village won't really work, so what I thought we'd do is take out all these buildings here and build some sort of big farm module and then maybe convert this. house in the storage system, okay, so this is a layer and I think we have a layer for each type of crop that the villagers like, so it will be wheat, carrots, potatoes and I guess beets, and I would say that we have two modules, one here and then one in this area here and they all come together in one flow of elements.
I actually quite like this and you know, it's been so long since I bought a farm like this. I can't even remember the last time I built one. Manual replanting of weak carrots and potatoes based on an old school dispenser must be like 2014. So here it is in all its glory, very much in keeping with the rest of the village, I am now in the process of placing it throughout Water. cubes in the dispensers and then we can fully test this and everything is fine. I think it's safe to say that it hasn't worked out as well as expected.
Have I made a mistake after reviewing it? I'm really not too sure. I've removed all the water, so let's give it a spin if we press this button here, that's a little bit closer, okay, it's going to look good and eventually it'll be okay, okay, thank goodness, I can still build these things that was getting. Now I'm worried, I must say I changed my mind a bit when it comes to the storage system idea. I was originally going to build a second farm in this area and then put storage there, but I've looked at it. It's pretty small there, isn't it?
Yeah, you couldn't actually fit the storage system in there, so I've decided to use this space for a big old bulk storage system and of course that's what we're going with. To have an item sorter that sorts all wheat, carrots and potatoes, I decided not to have beets in there because let's face it, beets are terrible. To be honest, no one here has used beets in Minecraft. It's not even beets, it's rhubarb. I have completely forgotten it. He's been in the game for about three years. Now I can't even remember the name. Yes they also added custard to accompany the rhubarb to create my favorite sweet or one of my favorite suites. then maybe it would be on board, but currently it's useless anyway, the item transport system is now in place, so we will ship the items from this area all the way here to our storage system and I must say it looks very well, can you?
Imagine coming across a village with that system in the back that looks like mega potatoes carrots, wait, okay, great, that area is already full, so I'm going to move to this space here because I've been looking around the village. There are a lot of paths here, but there doesn't seem to be much going on now that we have a Fletcher that's in this building, so I thought we could use it by building something that allows the villagers to test their arrow skills. Basically, I'm going to do some arrow practice. shooting or making an archery range like an archery range.
I actually can't remember what it's called. I got really into archery last year and now I've forgotten all about it. There must be an easier way. To do this like I thought, you could copy the data from MBT, but you can't really, so I feel sorry for the people who make songs in Minecraft because you have to do it manually every time anyway, as you can see. We have bows, we have arrows here, our archery range is set up and I'm really good, really good, amazing, top notch, okay I need to practice more, but I have to say our town looks spectacular, right?
It looks super cool and is definitely still in keeping with vanilla Minecraft, which is awesome now, although this is a really lovely house, in fact it's probably one of my favorite houses in the village. I love the way it is placed in this little corner. Here I am going to eliminate it because I want to make way for a small construction for the cleric. Now I know this is a bit of an exaggeration, but currently in vanilla Minecraft the cleric sells enchantment bottles, they are some kind of potion. so i thought about adding potion brewing stations in the village because for me personally, villagers selling potions actually seems like a good idea to me, it's a really nice feature of mojang, if for some reason you're watching this video, I'd really like to see it in vanilla Minecraft, so the first crafting station is for healing potions so the villagers can protect themselves and heal from zombie attacks.
This will be a potion of weakness so they can turn the villagers into villagers and then the last one. It's going to be for the invisibility so that during the night, if they stay outside their house, they can become invisible and the zombies won't attack them and I have to say it looks pretty nice in that area. The house is great, but I would say this is much cooler. I always love the look of exposed red stone, so there's our potion systems, but I have to say that that weakness system, that weakness potion, has given me an idea to create a zombie-to-villager conversion facility because I feel that the villagers would want that almost like a quarantine area and I thought it would be nice to put this quarantine inside a cliff to really hide it and it will have piston doors in the front. and be like a small sterile laboratory.
I thought about using white concrete and quartz and iron blocks and stuff like that, but I realized that it's actually unlikely that a structure in Minecraft will have those kinds of blocks inside of it. because they're pretty expensive and I guess Mojang probably wants you to farm those things or mine them, so instead I've gone with bricks and stone slabs and I'm going to make two separate areas, one side will be for normal villagers who will be like this On the side there will be a glass wall and that is where the zombie villages will go here is our potion of weakness so it goes in that dispenser right there we have a button that operates it on the front and then we have a little lever that allows us to open a hatch that gives us access to put in a golden apple as well and then we have this door at the end here that allows us to let the zombie villager out once he's turned. becoming a normal villager is really nice and simple, but I like the idea, let's quickly make it a little nicer on the other side and then I think we're done, so here we go with some really subtle additions to this village.
I would say we have made a pretty substantial improvement. There's nothing crazy here. There's no innovative red stone or anything like that. There are just a few simple gadgets that make the village feel a little more dynamic. A bit like there was more going on. Me personally, really. I like this place. I also enjoyed the construction process. I'd also be interested to hear your thoughts on what you think should be included in the villages in the comments section because I'd love to know what kind of Redstone gadgets you have. guys, but anyway I really hope you enjoyed this video and I'll see you in the next one.
See you, you know, I just finished editing this video and I just realized it's me. I am making all these suggestions to improve the villages. Mojang has literally improved the villages massively and then they're not going to touch the villages for another four or five years, so this video is purely for fun, I don't. I think it has some functional use.
