is a 23 year old girl from Chatham Kent, England. Her parents are Joanne and Douglas McLaren and she has an older brother named Tom Molly. She is described as a beautiful, loving and kind-hearted girl, she was very friendly, she had many friends and every time she met someone new she made them feel very welcome.

She was also very close to her family and enjoyed spending time with her parents, they had such a beautiful relationship and watching interviews with her parents, you know, it really warms your heart because you can tell they had such a special relationship, Molly was also a student. eighth grader in his second year at the University of Kent, he aspired to promote and advise people on health, wellness and well-being, which is what his degree entailed when he told his family what he was going to study, They were a little bit worried, this is because Molly had suffered from eating disorders in the past, she had bulimia in the past and it was such a difficult time for Molly and her family every day that Molly woke up and had to take a conscious decision to make sure. that this eating disorder wasn't controlling her life, so her family was worried that by studying fitness, health, diets, and things like that, it might trigger Molly and make her go back to her eating disorder, but Molly said it did the opposite.

She said that studying how to be really healthy and the right way to be in shape really helped her overcome her eating disorder and she was very happy to study this and it seemed like Molly was doing a lot better. friends in college she was studying very hard, she was getting good grades, she worked out a lot with her friends and even decided to start her own fitness blog where she posted her workouts and her fitness journey reached the end. same level every day. She calmed down but Joanne said that at that moment she knew something was not right with Joshua and Molly felt the same, then she told her mom that she no longer had the same feelings for Joshua that she had at the beginning and that she knew she needed to break up with him. , so once the trip comes to an end and everyone returns home, Molly breaks up with Joshua and tells Joshua that she still feels suffocated and that he is being too controlling and that she can't take it anymore.

Listening to her feelings, she told her friends that as soon as she returned from this vacation she would break up with Joshua for good, so Molly and Joshua returned from their trip and she still hadn't broken up with him, she was expecting. to see if things would get better and she really didn't know how to break up with him, so on Saturday June 17, 2017 Molly went out with her friends to celebrate a belated birthday. She had just turned 23 in May and her friends wanted to do it.

She takes her out for a couple of drinks since she and Joshua were technically still together. She invited Joshua to join her but of course Joshua had to ruin the night. I'm not sure what the problem was but they started arguing in front of everyone and it just made Molly angry so she decided to take Joshua aside and ended things with him. She told Joshua that she no longer wanted to be in a relationship with him and this made Joshua very angry. He started to be very aggressive and just put up. He got up from the table and started yelling at everyone.

Look, she just broke up with me, she broke up with me and he made this big dramatic show and then stormed out of the restaurant. She says she felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. It had been many nights since Molly had broken up with Joshua and she was starting to feel bad because he had told her that he didn't really appreciate how she broke up with him publicly and how she definitely could have approached it in a different way, so she started to believe him, she felt like she shouldn't have done it publicly, that it was wrong of her and she started to feel bad, however, even though she felt bad, she still wasn't going to get back together with him, so a few days passed. and Molly still isn't talking to Joshua, she's still not going to reverse her decision and get back together with him, so of course this made Joshua angry.

By spreading these lies about Molly, they simply didn't like how this was affecting Molly's mental health, so the entire family, including Molly, blocked Joshua on social media and reported his post on Facebook. Luckily, Facebook deleted all of Joshua's posts, but the family still decided to keep him blocked because they simply didn't want anything to do with Joshua anymore, so on June 20, 2017, Molly decides to apply for a job as a receptionist at the Nuffield gym. at Medway Valley Park.

She was so ready to move on with her life. excited to keep going to school she was excited about this new job she was ready to get over joshua at that point she thought things had calmed down because joshua hadn't messaged her in a while he hadn't put anything on Facebook He didn't call her that who just assumed that everything would go back to normal, unfortunately that was not the case. Joshua began posting cruel messages about him on Facebook once again. He was texting Molly. He was calling her. He was trying to get back into his life. he was getting very aggressive, that's when Molly says enough, I can't take this anymore and decides to go to the police station and make a report against Joshua, so Molly prints out all the messages that Joshua has sent her, all the things that has sent him. put on facebook and she goes to the police station with her mom and tells everything to the police, then the police officer calls joshua and puts him on speaker and says listen, you have to stop contacting molly, you have to stop make these posts on facebook and you have to leave her alone or we will come after you joshua responds with i haven't done anything wrong and if you think i have it's still to come joanne says that when joshua said those words it gave her chills and she felt very scared She said Joshua sounded so cold and emotionless when he said that and I mean, what kind of threat is it to say it's still to come?

It was very scary for Molly and Joanne, so the police decided to run a background check on Joshua just to see. yes he has some kind of criminal record and when they did this background check he came back clean so at this point Molly and Joanne don't really know what else they can do so they decided to print out photos of Joshua and give them to people. in the neighborhood they just wanted people to be aware of this guy and told them listen if you see this guy wandering around the neighborhood let me know or call the police right away so a few days after the police contacted Joshua, he decides to join it. gym where Molly had applied to be a receptionist that same day the police talk to Joshua one more time because he still wouldn't stop posting on Facebook so the police call him one more time and say listen you have to stop this is your Final warning and Joshua says okay, yeah, whatever, he doesn't even care what the police say.

There's actually surveillance footage of Joshua doing all this and it's kind of crazy when you watch him because he seems so calm that he doesn't seem stressed, he doesn't seem nervous, I mean, he seems like he doesn't have a care in the world, so on the 28th of June. 2017 Molly posts a selfie on Instagram about her plans for a night out at the Ship and Trades pub in Chatham, as I mentioned before, Molly, her friends and her family had blocked Joshua on all of their social media so he wasn't worried about publishing it. location because she knew Joshua wouldn't be able to see it at least that's what she thought.

It turns out that Joshua had convinced an anonymous girl to add Molly on social media and let him know where she was and what she was posting, which she honestly is really scary when you think about it. She went to the pure gym at the dockside retail store in Chatham Kent. She arrives at the gym around 10 in the morning. She walks into a workout room that she practically has to herself, which made Molly very happy because she was planning on recording some of her workouts for her class and her blog, so she was happy that there was no one else around her and she could Just working out and being alone, however, that would quickly change. He goes up the stairs that lead to the exercise room where Molly is and reaches the top of the stairs, he notices that Molly is there alone and then decides to go back down the stairs, but stops, he decides to make a U-turn and go back up. he walks into the same room as Molly and places her exercise mat right next to her.

Now Molly is in the middle of training, so she doesn't immediately notice Joshua, it wasn't until she turned to the side and saw her ex-boyfriend. he was working out next to her she was really shocked when she saw him and she just sat there and stared at him i think she was in shock and couldn't believe this was really happening i mean what are the odds? Amy thought this was very strange and she told Molly that something wasn't right. Then Molly approaches Joshua and we're not really sure what she's saying to him. The police assumed that she asked Joshua if he was following her and he just ignored her, then she goes back to her mat and around 10:57 in the morning, Joshua leaves the gym, so Joanne calls Molly just to get an update on the situation and Molly says she's in the women's locker room waiting to see if he's finally gone. At that moment Molly was getting into the driver's side of her car and before she had a chance to get out, Joshua ran to her car, opened the door, jumped in and started attacking Molly, she tried to fight him. she was screaming, she was scratching his face, she was pushing him as hard as she could, she was even honking to let people know that a passerby named Benjamin Morton heard Molly scream, heard this attack and tried to help her, tried to get Molly out.

The doctors reach Molly and try to save her, but they couldn't do anything. She had been stabbed more than 75 times and she had died within minutes of the attack?

It's really crazy because Molly's friends and family didn't even know about this, it wasn't until her friend Amy got a text from another friend asking if she had seen what happened at the pier and Amy said no, so He Googled and read a story about how a woman had just been stabbed in the parking lot and died, so he didn't really think it was Molly, but he decided to call. Molly texted her just to get an update from her, but Molly never responded. That's when Amy started connecting the dots and wondered if this unidentified victim could be Molly.

This was pretty much the same situation for Molly's mother, Joanne, one of Molly's. Her friends had texted Joanne an article saying that an incident had occurred at the pier retail store and Joanne says that when she read this article, she immediately knew it was her daughter. Her mother was literally talking to her telling her to come straight home and tell her. drive safely and then, two minutes later, Molly was brutally stabbed to death. I mean, I can't even begin to imagine how Molly's mom and her friend Amy feel about her. I mean, they were both literally texting Molly minutes before this happened, it's just really Heartbreaking To make matters worse, Molly's dad, Doug, was just a hundred miles away on a work trip. on a boat, so Joanne sent him an email saying you had to call me ASAP, so Doug called Joanne and she had to tell him that your daughter had been murdered.

He said it was the hardest thing he had ever had to do in his life because he knew that Doug was alone on the boat, that there was no one there that could give him a hug, could comfort him, could just be there for him, he immediately got off the boat and He returned home so he could see his daughter. Doug and Joanne got to see Molly one last time on a stretcher outside the hospital, which they said was very difficult, I mean seeing her daughter there. Lying on this lifeless stretcher and knowing that you will never be able to speak to her again, I swear watching the interviews with Joanne and Doug, you cry like I want to cry right now, like you remember because they loved Molly so much.

It was so upsetting and extremely unfair that the family finally had a funeral for Molly and it was absolutely beautiful. Many people attended the funeral and many people gave such beautiful speeches about the kind of person Molly was when her class finally graduated. Joanne and Doug from the university went to the ceremony on Molly's behalf, as if Molly's parents were incredibly strong people, so Joshua was arrested and was in custody awaiting her trial. He decided to plead not guilty and put Molly's family through a full trial. I mean, he could have saved everyone the time, stress and pain of going through a trial because he did it like there was literally proof that he was covered in blood.

There is evidence that he did it. They had found the weapons inside his car. I don't. I really knew how he thought he was going to get his way. She claimed that she was not aware of her actions and that she did not plan this. Her defense team attempted to argue that she suffered from an emotionally unstable personality disorder with hypersensitivity. to rejection, that's why he lost control and did what he did, however, a psychiatrist on the prosecution side said that Joshua was focused and in control when he carried out the attack as if he knew what he was doing and the fact that after leaving the gym I was waiting in the parking lot for Molly to come out.

It was definitely a premeditated murder. However, the defense team was trying to make it seem like stalking wasn't in Joshua's personality, but the prosecution was able to find two of Joshua's ex-girlfriends and put them up. them on the stand, one of his ex-girlfriends is Alexandra Dale and when she took the stand she said that she had met Joshua through Facebook a couple of years ago and noticed that he was very obsessive and strange, so that decided to break up. with him and he didn't take it well at all one morning she woke up and noticed that the tires on her car had been slashed and then on another occasion she had received a text from Joshua from him in her backyard insinuating that he was watching her She was fed up with all this harassment and decided to file a complaint against Joshua with the local police, so after three hours of deliberation the jury sentenced Joshua Stimson to life in prison with a minimum of 26 years.
