lindy
sue bickler and this is a case that has been unsolved for the last 45 yearslindy
sue little was born on the 31st of eleanor geesey and wayne little january 1956 their parents separated when she was still young and lindy continued to live with her mother while her father remarried and had another son named mike little a decade ago after lindy was born and mike is really very passionate about his half sister's case and fighting for justice for lindy, he described her as a loyal free spirit and said she had a really good work ethic towards the end of her time in high school she met a man named philip beekler worked at a hertz car rental store while attending classes at millersville state university and lindy at the time worked at a flower shop and these two hit it off immediately they were married in 1975 when lindy was 19 and lindy she is now becoming lindy sue b club she and phil lived in a first floor apartment number 104a at the spring mana apartments in lancaster pennsylvania the only problem was that lindy felt very uncomfortable in the apartment she had the feeling that she was being watched and following which she had told her friends and family that there was actually an incident where Lindy saw someone looking into her apartment through the sliding glass doors while she was home alone and as you can imagine this made her completely scared her and left her wanting. being home alone, especially after dark, which was unfortunate because she usually got off work when it was still light and phil worked late, so especially in winter he was always home a few hours after dark, there was actually another incident when lindy and phil were having dinner with lindy's half brother mike and another of his sisters at mike's family house and they were all hanging out downstairs having a good time until there was a massive noise from a mirror from upstairs that fell and lindy was really visibly shocked by this so phil did like check the whole house to make sure everything was ok no one was home december 5th 1975 lindy left work when it was still light and on the way home she decided to visit phil at the hertz dealer so she stopped at the millersville mall to do her shopping before she went home, she got home around 7:15 pm. the night, but her friends and her family knew how uncomfortable that made her, so her uncle mel and her aunt celeste decided to invite her to go with them to a basketball game they were going to. take her children. They arrived at the house around 8:45 p.m. m. and when they got there, Celeste went up to the apartment to go find Lindy, which is when she noticed the front door was open, which was obviously a huge red flag. The first thing Celeste noticed when she entered the apartment was that in the living room there was a turned-on lamp and she didn't hear any movement in the apartment, she was still looking for Lindy, shouting her name, when she found her in the kitchen, fully dressed, face up with a knife. butcher pinned to her light blue neck immediately called her 911 and the police arrived shortly after and upon entering the apartment they immediately knew they were dealing with a murder.
They contacted phil to let him know
what
was happening as well as lindy's parents and lindy's father had to be restrained because he became so violent. Distressed upon hearing the news of the murder of his daughter, the police immediately began to investigate the crime scene. Nothing was missing from the apartment, nothing seemed to be in disarray, so a robbery was ruled out almost immediately. Police initially thought there might be some sort of sexual motive behind the murder, but there was no evidence to suggest a sexual assault, nor was there any sign of forced entry, meaning she knew her attackers or perhaps they slipped in while she was carrying her purchases within the scene DNA, blood splattered on multiple walls, and defensive wounds on her hands indicated that Lindy had fought for her life.Police also found a man's body print in the kitchen and determined that the killer was likely a man. She questioned her neighbors, none of whom were home at the time of his murder. They were all ruled out, but they were also unable to provide any information that could help the investigation. At one point, police tried to investigate a car that had been double-parked near the Spring Mana Apartments between 7 and 8:40 p.m. m., which is the time period when lindy was killed the car lights were on and the car was described as a dark colored American standard size car the police thought maybe there might be a witness in the car However I couldn't find any more info on this so I'm assuming they either didn't find the car or the owner of the car or they did and no info came out.
Lindy's autopsy revealed that she had been stabbed 19 times, including through the heart with two different butcher knives. The knife she found sticking out of her neck was found to have come from her own kitchen and the other knife she used was presumed to have been brought by the killer himself and never found. Lindy's official cause of death was ruled as massive bleeding. She believed the assassin dealt the fatal blow early in the attack, but she kept stabbing anyway fueled by passion and anger. Most likely now, obviously, when investigating these types of crimes, especially a crime as passionate as this, the police are going to look at the people. those closest to the victim investigated her friends family coworkers and paid close attention to her husband phil he was at work at the time of the attack but there were no other specific suspicious motives or leads he was ruled out as a suspect although the Police still had little to go on on February 7, they had interviewed between 250 and 300 people, yet they failed to find any leads.
Four months after Lindy's murder, another 43-year-old woman, Mary Shenson, was killed and dozens stabbed. sometimes this
happened
only about 15 miles from where lindy was murdered and the way the two women were killed was almost identical so the police immediately saw the connection between the two cases; However, in Mary's case, a 36-year-old man named Kenneth Dale Arndt was sentenced to life in prison for Mary's murder and was ruled out as a suspect in Lindy's case, the case began to go cold with no leads, no suspects, for no possible reason and then on December 26, 1976, around the first anniversary of Lindy's death, her family went to visit her grave in the cemetery behind a local Methodist church. When they got to the grave, they discovered that her tombstone was covered in red paint. It was chipped. A sharp instrument, such as a knife, was likely used. to cut and chip the stone, his was also the only tombstone to have been vandalized and the police did their best to investigate but unfortunately came up empty handed. A few weeks later, in January 1977, the Manna Municipality Police received an anonymous letter marked urgent. To Chief Donald Sheila, the two page letter was a mix of handwriting and cursive and was written in two parts, one part from someone claiming to be the killer and the second part from someone claiming to be a friend of the killer.
The police named janiece crum however they believed the same person wrote both parts of the letter and the police investigated this janiece crum character and they found a woman by that name living in the area but no one who could be related with the case, this is
what
the letter says. said hello sheila eats your heart out knowing you still haven't caught me yet around lindy's marker on her grave turned me on like her and the way she looked all bloody like the paint on her marker the scratch marks and nicks represent the stab wounds count 'em did you wonder if the guy at the gas station in mountville was connected to the beakles murder forget it man no way i'll tell you what a pig boss you print this letter in the paper along with a picture in the friday nights lancaster paper and saturday paper in the morning and i could confess when my journey is over, you will see that the world owes me its life, maybe it will give you some clues about who i am.I got busted once for drugs a few years back. I live in the far west suburbs of Lancaster. 10 tall 205 pounds fat and beautiful and capable of killing again without knowing it December 5, 1975 was in an amphetamine stupor as at this time well educated man in the community single good job but god please boss help me I'm losing my mind help me before i kill again the headaches kill me every time i hurt the drugs only calm it down temporarily god forgive me please print this boss in the paper so i know you got it then i'll write to you again god i need a priest who I have Ready help me please Chief Sheila my friend has confessed to the murder of Lindy Sue Biecla as God as my witness do as I ask print this letter on the front page.
I am not aware of his intentions at this time, but contemplating murder is not his intention. he is mentally ill when the letter appears and then he will turn himself in he described the relationship he and lindy had before he killed her he only realizes now when you are high you are not responsible for your actions please he is asleep now that is why i am done the letter. All I can tell you. My friend frequents the Manor shopping center in the evenings and the fields around it, mostly on weekdays. He will contact you very soon and oh, when he does, he brings a Catholic priest to the police station.
Signed by Janice Crum. despite the fact that the author of the letter was asking the police to publish the letter in the Friday paper and the police from the Saturday paper decided not to because they had some suspects at the time, none of whom believed that he would have sent this letter, now some people have pointed out Find out the similarities between this letter and the letters of the zodiac killer and if you don't know who the zodiac killer is, he is a well known serial killer from the 1960s and 1970s. It was confirmed that this individual murdered five people in California.
However during this time the killer claims to have killed 27 people which they profess in their letters anyway like I said some people compared the two killers and thought maybe the zodiac killer came out of nowhere after a few years without killing. Again, both letters contain similar quirks, such as misspellings, random capitalization, calling authorities pigs, bragging about their murders and taunting law enforcement, threatening violence and victims if their letters were not published, and also signing their letters. using aliases. a cross and a small circle and an alias sometimes just like the letter in the lindy case was signed using an alias of jenny's crumb which seemed to have no connection to the case other than these similarities the letter in the lindy case describes the perpetrator as 5ft 10 and fat which generally fits the zodiac description witnesses generally describe the zodiac as between 5 8 and 5 10 with a stocky build and around 195 to 200 pounds or more the last of the murderer's letters of the zodiac was received in July 1974 and seemed to have disappeared after this, well, it didn't disappear, but you know, it stopped sending letters and maybe even stopped killing people, who knows.
I would contact the policeCalifornia to compare cases and DNA; however, detectives later ruled out the possibility that the two letters could have been written by the same person, and thus ruled out the possibility that Lindy's killer could also be the Zodiac Killer. of the two different cases were quite different and there were also some other indications that they were different people an fbi profiler named james fitzgerald who was an expert in forensic stylistics examined the letter that was sent to police chief sheila he believes that the killer de lindy was someone with an explosive temper and upon realizing that they had committed this horrible act, they would have taken a nosedive in their life or become very devoted to their work, religion or family, he said he believes the letter was written to mislead the police and perhaps distract them from the clue they were looking for at the time, he also believes the letter was written by one person, not two people, as the letter writer would try to make the police believe he said the writer he is left-handed and also believes he is a woman or someone struggling with his sexual identity says that women tend to write as observers, which is exactly how the second part of the letter was written and also said that in 1975 it was extremely rare for a man to described himself as beautiful, now the police are very focused on the fact that Lindy's killer is a man. for various reasons, including the bloody footprint found in the kitchen, for which he believes the killer is unlikely to be the person who wrote the letter;
However, that's not to say they weren't involved, they could have been the mastermind behind it all. maybe they themselves had a role in the murder or maybe they were just at the crime scene fitzgerald said that all three things, the murder handwriting and the vandalism, could be connected, however he definitely believes at least two are connected because it just seems highly unlikely that one person murdered her, another person vandalized her grave, and then another third person wrote this letter to the police. Also another thing to note is that the police did not make the entirety of this letter public until the 25th anniversary of Lindy's death on December 5, 2000 and the original letter was lost without any physical evidence having been obtained before it was lost on october 30, 1982, police began searching for a serial killer named gerald eugene stanner in connection with the murder of lindy stanno was arrested in april in florida and claimed responsibility for murdering at least 37 women his father lived in east hempfield township at the time of the murder so police circulated a photo of him however no one in the area where lindy was murdered could identify him and on january 4, 1982 he was ruled out by police officially a suspect on january 18, 1984 the district attorney's office paid two thousand dollars to have two psychics evaluate lindy's case the psychics said they were under the impression lindy's killer had a tattoo on his arm, it was Olive skinned, with dark hair and dark eyes, detectives believed the man they were trying to describe was a man named Mark Capalupo, who was 18 years old at the time of Lindy's murder and had been convicted of numerous other violent sexual acts. he was convicted of stabbing his victims with a screwdriver, tying them up with his own clothes, and even attempting to run them over with his own car, however, in an attempt to escape from prison in July 1976, he was shot dead, he was also dismissed as A suspect in Lindy's murder, having been confirmed to be working at the time in 2000, District Attorney Donald Tataro started a task force to investigate Lindy's case without much movement, sadly, in June 2006. lindy's case caught the attention of the video cq society which is a volunteer group of 50 crime experts forensic scientists profilers ex law enforcement agencies etc. who meet monthly to hear cold cases and offer new insights to investigators the group collaborates with law enforcement agencies on 12 different cold cases per year lancaster county detectives featured by joe giese and pete savage all the info What they had of the leads on the details of the murder followed the evidence from the interviews and what they believed the motive was, which is something that has never been made public after this hearing, the authorities said that there were certain persons of interest that they wanted to investigate. and that things were starting to look up for the case in december 2007 lindy's brother mike little started talking to vince merak christie merak's brother they both lost their sisters to unsolved violent murders and decided to place a billboard overlooking a highway, it was a photo of the two girls with a big message that said: do you know who murdered us?
This billboard was only supposed to stay up for 30 days, but Donovan Advertising decided to keep it up for an additional 10 days at no cost. It attracted the attention of local news stations. He started posting the stories of the two cases which unfortunately didn't bring any leads at the time. On June 26, 2018, police charged a man named Raymond Rowe with the rape and murder of Christine Morack, who was murdered in December 1992. On December 5, 2019, investigators recently released two images generated by from DNA at the crime scene of what the murderer could have been like at 25 and 65 years of age.
This new DNA evidence can apparently be traced back to DNA evidence from the semen found in Lindy's underwear. I know I mentioned earlier that there were no signs of sexual assault and I haven't seen any mention of sexual assault yet, but the fact that the DNA they used was semen found in Lindy's underwear definitely makes me think there might be some Kind of a sexual motive behind the murder, especially considering that the motive for the murder has never been revealed. Publicly, Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman said that the contributor of the semen and DNA is of Southern European or perhaps even mixed Middle Eastern origin whose family tree has roots anywhere from Italy to along the mediterranean coast and possibly even going the killer is probably fair - with non-freckle skin, hazel eyes and dark hair, not blonde or red hair, there have been several persons of interest since this time, all of whom were ruled out due to the DNA evidence and the DNA was also compared to that of Lindy's husband, Phil, and him.
Phil remarried in 1990, but continues to live in nearby Millersville and still holds out hope that Lindy's case will be solved. Lindy's father passed away in 2000 and Lindy's mother passed away in 2007. Unfortunately, no agreement has been reached about what
happened
to his daughter. Lindy's brother. Mike Little, who was an officer in the US Navy, still carries his sister's legacy with him in the hope that one day she will find answers and that is all the information I have on this case. I'd love to hear any theories you have in the comments below. could have or what you think happened and hope to see you in my next video bye guysIf you have any copyright issue, please Contact
