What Happened To Fasterproms TT AWD V8 S10?

Jun 04, 2021
something sounds off, she didn't go anywhere, it didn't take us long to find some weak legs, but we rebuilt them and kept breaking good, the first 10 second pass, okay, not bad, you realize guys, in previous. Time slide right there, we were gaining about 25 miles per hour in the second eighth mile, as you can see right now, we're going up 28 miles per hour, well, that's a little bit more power and 132, that's pretty good, this intercooler again helped Josh. we designed this, this is our creation, this thing is the best intercooler I've ever seen, I've earned a degree in intercooling, I've never been around anything that's this good, I mean, it's generating a load more than power.

I screwed up and, man, six seven in the eighth, but 111 miles an hour, that tells you he's doing the job. I mean, we probably should have been catching around 139, maybe maybe a little bit more right there, definitely 60 feet better in certain parts of this build. There were definitely some things on my to-do list that I had to check off. rpm transmissions have given us great support with this unique transmission, but after breaking it the second time we decided to use the much beefier magnum t-56 mainshaft and with it. a much stronger transfer case and things were shelved for five or six months, like all the other cycles we went through, so we had a loj modifier transfer case adapter, cut the mainshaft to make everything fit. fair, I think we thought we'd blow this thing up at least three times, it's been hot, yeah, not only that but leaning out and all sorts of other things that don't work, I mean all the rev limiter problems, here we go, let's listen. that noise, folks, this is our situation and it's been pretty strange here, so lastly we're going to have to break it all down to the best of our knowledge, we need a stand here to break it down, I know, I really know. like we actually waited like a month for James to come here, he'd been busy doing stuff back and forth and

what

ever, but that was definitely part of our delay, that right there is a t56 magnum main shaft, yeah, like that that we had I updated this so it should be a 31 spline, it should be able to handle

what

ever we wanted to do, we cut it all up, put it back together on the s10 and we had like the tr660 case and then James came and pulled this thing out. aside like it was nothing, wait we had a gear, oh yeah, so we didn't have any kind of functional element, no, there was no gear selection, so James came when he had time, took it apart and was trying to put the selector shaft on in position to align with the corresponding holes that the pins go into on the case.

More Interesting Facts About,

what happened to fasterproms tt awd v8 s10...

He says, hey, sometimes things go wrong when they put them together. If they're in a hurry, he tries that and every time he does it, he wants to show up. the next gear and then he started looking at it and said, "Hey, if this could be a t-56 selector shaft and a tr6060 because the thickness of the face plate of the front belt housing is different because this one is one piece and 56 is two". parts, I guess you could remove the bell housing, he said that would make a difference, so I talked to Jeremy at rpm and he said, "hey, pull it apart the rest of the way, give me a picture of the bottom retainer right here, yeah , because that's what it is." Where the ball is here, I can look at them and tell you exactly what it is and then we'll work on getting the right parts, so we're at that point now, so we haven't had a resolution on those rpm yet.
what happened to fasterproms tt awd v8 s10
It's been really busy right now, they've been incredibly helpful and they've taken care of us very, very, very well and we use their products all the time, I mean, they make amazing things, this is such a strange situation, I mean, it's like Actually, no one has done this, you know, we're looking at everything and James says, hey, this is something we can do internally and he does the leroy trans all the time. I know a lot of people say, oh, you don't. finish things if we're doing a lot of things that are uncharted territory and this is what happens when you do something like that, you hit a dead end and then you know it's been very difficult with all of our youtube. things like trying to delete customer cards and guys, we've been deleting some nonsense, it's been crazy the amount of work we've done, when something like this goes wrong and we don't have an answer. it has to be shelved for a while, it burns again and unfortunately that sucks, but it's a real problem and we didn't really want to say anything until we had more knowledge and now that we have that knowledge, we're still on the back burner now, I mean, We're like anyone else, you know, we have a way to get back and all that we thought about sending the trans back and so on, but again we thought, hey, maybe I could fix it right here because you know again the jack stand can doing that should have been a quicker resolution could have become a longer one this has now been a four or five month thing honestly I mean we really had this trans when Ls postal went down and that was in cletus and autos in November or October or something like that.
what happened to fasterproms tt awd v8 s10
Realistically, it's been so long that we've had to do a lot of other things in the meantime, we're an incredibly busy business. and since we don't totally trust everything that's going on with youtube, we're doing what we can to try to play both sides and it's difficult, it's very, very difficult, but I think it's the best decision for us and our guys. removing things from customers because we are still very interested in that, we still remove things that have great power, make people happy, but this is very frustrating, so it was one of those things that is a daily reminder because everyone the days the s10 is boosted.
Push the s10 back in, it's a daily reminder, not that we've forgotten, jump in and drive, yeah you're absolutely right, it's like oh god it would be so much better to just drive it but no it's not like that. then they bring out a 370. with a nice interior and running pretty well, we really want the s10 running. There may be a fork in the road here where we decide to take a totally different route which may happen next time. A couple of days here we had some things in the works, things that we will probably do with Uncle Sam that could change to the s10, but we don't fully know yet, so I really just wanted to give you an update on what was happening here, ha been incredibly frustrating for us and we want to get it up and running more than anyone else and really show what it can do because we are absolutely in love with the power plant, I mean the guys we made, I think we made like 830 horsepower with one more boost low and we know this thing can be completely destroyed, we never had a good shake on the track and it went down to 10, so the parts worked well on Rodney, although yes, yes, well, yes, we have donated a lot. parts of rodney ronnie is in full swing and works very well on rodney, but we really like to see what he can do well with this, it's been a couple of days since the last recording there and basically we have a little more knowledge here.
If I remember right when those two were stacked as we were trying to get them together and the slider was engaging to try to synchronize the gears with the synchronizers, we had multiple gears engaging at the same time at the installed height. This is different especially with this non native axle here t56 magnum that's on a mismatched tr 6060 hodgepodge, a bunch of parts and all that, what pics did we send to uh jeremy jones at rpm, he said some things look good , but hey, this is It doesn't look good guys, you need to send that and that was part of the second gear slider in second gear, which could have been the one that made contact and why it didn't want to change gears, very short time handling on this, at all.
We only really went up and down the highway maybe once and it wasn't even me driving with someone else driving and they were like, man, I didn't have any gear, so I only had first gear, nothing else would engage and in that short period of time I may have damaged the second gear, yes, unfortunately, after all this, after all this time, we were down six months practically before you know it and we got the transmission and all that, and now we're down six months, basically again, it's such a frustrating thing to try. I know we're going to break new ground here with this, but we're going to send it back to rpm and you should be able to get everything totally fixed and we're looking forward to getting this up and running again very soon.
Jeremy Jones rpm, says, "Hey." just you know, put it in press, take these gears off, take pictures of them, send them to me and I say, okay, I'll talk to James about how to do that and I talk to James, he says, "Hey, I don't have those tools." here, okay, how many tools does it have like a cheap set, it could cost 500 dollars if you can find one and you want us to get it locally, there's just nothing around. I got off the tool truck 10 minutes ago and he didn't have any. there's one there and I think look we looked at it and it was maybe three or four hundred dollars at least we probably won't use it again yeah exactly and that would be my next point is if we buy something that's unique. use of time like that, I mean, you better know that I would really like to get it back in the hands of rpm and make sure that they can do a top-notch job like they have done in the past for us, we'll see. your subsequent stream sent you again, well, one last thing I wanted to end with here.
I kept this very close to my chest. I've actually been building an automatic for a while because I wanted to get out and really go to serious drag. running with uncle sam, i have a turbo 400 that is built, it is waiting for me in gainesville and it is rated to be able to take a lot of power, however i am trying to be able to get that to fit in this s10, another story, yeah, but we could throw that thing there instantly and it should be pretty quick. I'm only running two wheel drive. There would be big old sticks in the back.
I'd really like to see this thing go down the track fast. Minimal efforts. of them, but the next chapter in the s10 might be to try and put that transmission in there and it looks like that's a very possible path at the moment, something to get us excited about the manual once again. Very good with us, guys, thanks. for your support and we definitely appreciate it guys, I don't say that often but I really love Florida, it's a really nice day, not too hot, we have a lot of freedom here in Florida, you guys should come and we have a really nice airboat here, This one is particularly nice and right up my alley, it's a bit small and extra light and has a very decent naturally aspirated power plant.
It's all glass. I like the KTM saddlebag. It has a lot of tools. There I thought that was really cool, I love the name, so we have a Heads ls3 camera right here. He was going to put a big block on this thing and changed his mind keeping that idea really light and exactly how long the boat is. 14 14 feet good man okay let's turn this on this is a little different here normally I'm down on the side but today I'm in the captain's chair it's definitely a nice view from up here it's totally different usually to the side just looking up into the air, the fuel and all that, but we have the air and the fuel right here, so we need to sit here, so now we're trying to clean up the fuel map, this was actually pretty rich before, it's still pretty rich.
We're going to be looking at our wide man, our tack isn't running right now, so we're going to try to get it running with good oil pressure, good voltage temp, it's pretty accurate and it's measured at a different location right there, running well and without problems. I just changed the spark plugs we had, it was too hot. I want to be able to run this thing pretty hard, but this is where we start leaning into this thing, turn up the rpm a little bit and see where it holds up. so we might have to change the pitch to get to a certain rpm, we'll try that right now and give it a first little hit right here, 13 to one that was okay, so we got 4 900 rpm that we might want. to change the blade pitch to get the rpm a little higher, I also need to change the spark advance, the air and fuel look very very good to start with, do you think that's how light it is now 1800 to 2000, that's nice, that's pretty impressive. right there yeah and then your boat right here my boat must be 3000 pounds and you have the lsa with the head cam and e85 and all that so normally that would be something like 800 almost 775 800 wheels on a car and uh 3000 pounds and we're seeing in my mind that this thing should easily be like 5 5 20 fought against the wheels and uh in the 2000s against the wheels on a chassis dyno on a 2000 pound car, so yeah, that's They're both very, very fast, so we're adding a degree and a half of very fast synchronization here by just cleaning up theparking throttle fuel map and we're going to try this again to see if we get a little bit more rpm and if we don't, we'll change the pitch a little bit, which is like changing the gear ratio very, very, very close, although it was actually a little richer, it was like 12 00 12 to 12 4.
So I can throw. a little bit of fuel, uh, I'll do it one more time here and see if we can get a little bit more rpm, but I added a degree and a half, it didn't really help much, but again, the richness could have offset it. that's a little bit more, that scares me man, hidden carbon fiber with a hammer, okay, so let's move the ruler and now that's basically going to be our measuring point on each blade. We'll have to do that, so make sure they're all the same, just a little bit back, oh, you're there right, long after done.
With those small adjustments to the propeller pitch we were able to spin that thing at about 5500 rpm. What's really interesting is that when the boat is moving dynamically and through the air, they typically reach between one hundred and three hundred rpm. 56 at 5800 rpm. that thing would completely break and again, since we've already tuned it to a lower rpm, we can lower it again if we want to be able to make a little more torque at the bottom end or improve gas mileage a little bit, but only we wanted to I want to say thank you all for watching, I've been really busy with things so I'll try to get back up a little bit more, but thank you all so much for your support.
I definitely appreciate it. Visit our store. We are very grateful. and it's an absolute milestone, we can't wait to reach 400,000 subs, so thank you all so much, the truth doesn't mind being challenged, but it's a lie, it's not like you challenged it, you wanted them to hear a song over there. One is called The Clockmaker by Vexaire. It's a weird kind of dubstep song, but I hope you like it. God bless you. See you in the next episode.
