What gorillas can teach us about being human #shorts #tedx

Simply put, gorilla moms are amazing. And, in fact, if a young gorilla loses his mother before he is weaned, at approximately the age of three, he will not survive. This is Fasha. At the age of four, Fasha had lost her mother and her father. One day, our teams watched as Fasha's family crossed a river. So when her family crossed this river, Fasha held back. But then something extraordinary happened. Fasha's sister was waiting for her on the other side of the river. She held out her hand to encourage him. And then, when Fasha made it safely across, the two embraced each other in a huge hug.

We can learn a lot from them as we learn about them. Gorillas remind us of the importance of returning to our anthropological roots and the value of building lasting relationships.
