s from a lot of patients and I have a lot of

misconceptions

And no, a calculation cannot pass through a real step. It is very rare about ten to twenty percent of the time and usually this happens with stones that are very very close to the bladder and very small stones, usually less than three or four millimeters in size, so , how do we know that your calculation has not gone through the set many times? Before performing a procedure, we will take an x-ray. the stone is visible on the x-ray and if it is excellent, we know the stone is still in place if the stone is very small or not visible on the x-ray you have some stones that are not calcium based or are not visible on the x-ray o Small stones are not visible on x-rays many times, we just assume that this stone is still there because the step was probably placed for an important reason: either you had severe pain, you had an infection, there was some kind of severe pain. indication to put that stent in if we just take it out and we're not sure if the stone is still there, there's a good chance that if it's still there and it's a high percentage of the time it's going to cause the same problem again, but it already did previously.

Sometimes we want to be absolutely sure that we can get a CT scan, but that means a lot of extra radiation, so a lot of times, if you have a stent in, we assume that the stone in the stem will still be there and we plan an operation now that there is some special ones. Circumstances where we can't do that and talk to your older child about it. Another question I am often asked is: can I remove an odor myself? Yes, many times we will place a stent with a thread coming externally from the urethra for the patient.

That procedure itself takes between 30 seconds and usually less than two minutes, but it's pretty quick and easy to remove a set. Sometimes we play supports for other reasons, not because of kidney stones, because of extrinsic compression or because of squeezing the ear door from an external source, whether it's scar tissue or tumors, and that situation. That situation is a little different, sometimes we leave the stents in for longer, but at some point we have to remove them. Stems left in place for too long if a patient forgets them can begin to block the kidney and then long term situations.
