Galaxy S21 Ultra vs iPhone 12 Pro Max Drop Test!

May 01, 2024
What's up guys, all Applepro here and it's another year, another

galaxy

launches the Galaxy s21

ultra

, a new completely redesigned lens and all new materials, so let's go ahead and compare the Galaxy s21

ultra

with the new Gorilla Glass Victus. This is the toughest Gorilla Glass yet. versus Apple's iPhone 12 Pro Max with a ceramic shield that is stronger than the glass of any smartphone. I think it will be a very interesting

test

here between the best of Samsung and the best of Apple and, of course, this is an annual tradition since now the Galaxy S6. In the Galaxy we have an aluminum frame in the stainless steel iPhone.

Apple is already looking at titanium for the iPhone, which I think will be a very interesting

drop

test

. Glass is still susceptible to breaking or cracking. Let's see which one is better and at what height. We will do the usual waist height, we will go to head height and even higher if necessary and another thing to note is that on the Galaxy S21 Ultra we have an aluminum lens frame integrated into the body. It's an interesting design. I like that Samsung. is trying something new here and all the individual lenses are protected unlike the 12 pro max so the ones that stick out, we recently learned that on the 13 pro max it will be a flat clean slate made of sapphire glass and I love the color too . this is the aura silver it looks beautiful oh before I forget they both have screen protectors so I want to remove them and the one built into the s21 ultra we also have the fingerprint sensor so we will test it throughout the video cameras that see which internal components are damaged and may not survive even a slight

drop

and start at waist height, so the

galaxy

s21 ultra in three two one is a beastly phone, but in comparison , I like how sleek the flat frame of the 12 pro max feels. in three, two, one, a very nice blow to the stainless steel and aluminum.

More Interesting Facts About,

galaxy s21 ultra vs iphone 12 pro max drop test...

Here, in general, stainless steel resists falls better, yes, most of it is erased, but well, let's go to the back, the 21 ultra is protected by Victus on the back and the front I think the lens will make contact first here the same with the 12 pro max this one has ceramic on the front and back very good three two one the

iphone

three two one so it activated the vibration motor the

iphone

is fine and the s21 ultra is fine so it had an impact here in the corner of the lens this could actually be a great safety feature durability wise all good looks good and uh the front so after that waist height drop the screen acts erratically on the 12 pro max. that's weird so locking it just restart it so the s21 ultra screen curves slightly, it's nice when swiping but could actually contribute to more screen cracks.

Apple actually hid the screen in that steel band and they claim that improves durability. try it on a nice little bump of three two one and three two one a little jump and a jump 12 pro max is fine and the s20 on ultra is fine on a quick little demo of the cameras so just to make sure everything is working here, yeah, and the biometrics, so lock them and unlock with fingerprint here and face ID, which are working, going up one level, the head height test here in three two one, so the way in that the screen curves actually makes it hit upside down three two one actually. pretty good on the 12 pro max just scratched and not a big deal but the fact that it's reflective is more visible on the s21 ultra it has a small nick here so aluminum is definitely not as strong as steel victus stainless is still in good condition. shape well, back, will the lens protect the s21 ultra in three, two, one?

Oh, what just happened there? This little guy just popped off, so the three times telephoto optical zoom lens, the cover is attached with a very weak adhesive. I'm actually very surprised to find out. I guess that's something that wouldn't happen on an iPhone since everything here is fused together, but the build quality and the 12 Pro Max we'll see what the lenses do in three, two, one and everything looks perfect so we're doing contact here. the corner and the lenses as you can see the lenses have a very thin edge around them and that digs into the concrete otherwise the glass is doing its job holding on perfectly so this is the bump they could do these guys with Victus curved glass. three two one oh that was loud and uh 12 pro max on three two one okay a little on the edge but survived that's what's dug here and here and Victus emerges victorious with no damage at this point they're both evenly matched they've both survived head height drops from all angles and the biggest damage here is the lens cover being ripped off its housing and scratched, and just to make sure everything is in working order before we continue, all lenses are See well, both fingerprint and face ID work, so I guess we just go even higher because these refuse to die.
Let's bring the ladder. Let's start with the Victus and drop, trying to drop it on its side from about 10 feet in three, two, one. Wow, that was a big drop and I can see that. survived and the 12 pro max in three two one and basically the same fall this guy just went through and wow I'm stunned looking fantastic the back glass is separating slightly but the adhesive they're using there seems to be doing its job very good. on the front it still looks good, the front here is still okay, but yeah, that's completely ruined. The final test screens are close to 10 feet and we're recording these guys on the way down, the final and definitive test on three, two, one and the iPhone 12 Pro Max face down. in three, two, one, so what do we have?
Oh wow okay so the iPhone has survived there, it's the s21, oh yeah the screen is damaged, that's serious damage that sticks out a lot and will get into your skin, let's see what works. and what doesn't happen after such serious falls, it was confirmed that face ID works and fingerprint doesn't work with broken glass like this. I can't get the fingerprint sensor to work on the s21 ultra, so it may be a serious problem and a small advantage for you. We're about to release our included Gen 2 Crystal Series 30 Flow Lab screen protector and now let's do a couple of 10 foot drops.
I don't think you'll find a better value on this guy for the price that drops in three, two, one, okay. it was in your face and perfect what makes contact are these corners the claws we've innovated very happy with how this all came together another gen 2 glass drop test 10 ft 3 2 1. another straight on the front and watch how it did A nice screen protector intact because we have a lot of ground clearance tends to perform very well in drop tests and protects the rear finish if you drop it on the back and another one in three, two, one and the back It looks impeccable. still in perfect working order three two one flawless so it's a very tight fit much more comfortable than it looks we shaved the sides we gave it a pinky rest and it feels very solid and there you have it the last thing and best from Corning, actually did a solid job, I love what they did with the lens.
Here it adds more durability to the screen, although I didn't have such luck with its curved edges. The fingerprint sensor no longer works. 12 Pro Max held at the front and rear worked quite well until the 10 foot drop. which is what broke them both, but I'd say they're pretty evenly matched in strength, actually a fierce competition makes it very good, as always, thanks for watching, stay tuned for the next one, peace.
