My daughter is getting ready to turn 10 and she has always used it. one piece swimsuits because she likes to cover up completely and she doesn't really like wearing bikinis, but she has noticed that her friends have started wearing bikinis and she is a little more modest, well that's her way so I want to help her by making a great suit. cover up now i first saw this on trash couture dot com and it's a really cool project and i thought it would be cool to make it with recycled materials or things you can find at the thrift store.

to go with it. This should be an easy project, one that you can ruin if you're using used materials or cheap materials, so let's go ahead and get into it, shall we? This shirt is actually too big for my daughter. It's an XL size for girls or young women, but it should serve our purposes perfectly. It should cover from the shoulders to the bottom of the swimsuit. Now that I have folded my fabric enough to get two pieces, one for each side, now your lace piece will want to run all the way up here on the shirt and all the way to the back, so make sure you have enough to do that on both sides of Shirt. Okay, let's start pinning it. We have our lace we have our shirt now we are going to start pinning now. In fact, I'm going to start pinning this to the front of the shirt, as you can see here, so let's move that up and put our lace right down there now.

It's been cut to size for my shirt and it's just going to go up here and up the arm and back down again. I went with a combination of a pin at the end, don't forget to sew back and then continued with groovy clips all the way to the top. I thought the pin held it together very well right at the end and then the Wonder Clips are doing a great job holding the lace together as it is delicate and has holes in it and I think there is plenty of room for the pins to slide through when it is just right into the lace, so one at the end and then followed with Wonder Clips the rest of the way down, now that you're getting close to the point you want to stop, you have to make a decision: are you just going to sew back when you get to that stitch or I'm going to sew to make a sort of bottom sleeve area.

I have two minds, so I think what I'm going to do is make you one of each. I'm just going to stop and I'm going to sew back when I get to the armpit part and on the other sleeve this sleeve I'm going to go ahead and sew all the way to the end of the lace that way I can decide which one I like best and you can decide such Which one you'd like to try, so we're getting to that point where we're in the armpits. I think we're pretty close here.
