The definition of your facial features. It is truly extraordinary. Congratulations for everything you have done. and I know we talk about expectations. We did a half-day science-based weight loss assessment on August 20 of this year 2022. Three

months

ago we measured it on a device called the Bod Pod, it's the standard in science that differentiates everyone's weight. fat at that time you had 92.9 pounds of body fat primarily in the abdominal cavity and you had 149 and a half pounds of lean tissue um and uh we talked about expectations I said if you listened if you followed the program you would expect to see a fat loss rate of 14 per month.

What really happened and let's open the spreadsheet right now. If you

35 percent of your body fat weight in the first month, that was a fat loss of 32.6 pounds.

unpack that for a second you lost more than almost seven of these in the first month, well, crazy, 32.6 pounds of fat, almost seven of these, 35 percent of your body fat in the second month, we measured you again in the body, you lost almost 17 pounds of fat, which was 27.7 percent of your weight fat, and just last week, three months after starting this program, you lost over 13.4 pounds of fat, which was a reduction of 31, it's absolutely mind-blowing, so again, I wanted to start with that because I want our audience to know how extraordinary your success is and, wow, there it is.

Can we talk a little bit about the pain you felt before the show started? I know when we first connected it was over a phone call and we talked about pain in your life Associated with your weight and your health, can you share a little bit about the pain you're feeling before you start this process? I sure wasn't happy with how I looked, you know, just looking in the mirror and then sitting on a plane. I sit just looking at how big my stomach had gotten, yeah, some concern about, basically, you know, high blood pressure, cholesterol, high cholesterol and, you know, I'm just worried about wanting to be around my kids, long term.
How is this coming? the way that just at work you know because you're in sales and you know if it affected you, you know your confidence or how you feel about yourself, you know in those areas, no, I just mean a little bit of energy because you're yourself. You're carrying that exact weight very well and you know your appearance, I mean, you're in sales, you're in front of people all the time, no, you don't want to look as bad as you did. in the mirror, totally totally, absolutely fine, I just want to pause and thank you for being willing to sit down with me and talk about this because I think our audience and most people will relate more to our pain and our struggle than they do. will with our winds and I think the essence of this is that we are not the only person struggling, so thank you for being so willing to be open about such a sensitive topic.
I would like to turn the conversation around and talk about some of the learning points, for example, when we first sat down and explained to him that he had a problem that he couldn't see, it was actually a suppression of enzymes within his fat cells and he What I said was that when fat cells are in suppression, can a person you know have substantial weight loss and the answer is not correct? When the enzyme is suppressed, you cannot exercise your way out of that suppression and we know that when there is an enzyme suppression, the fat cells get larger.
Body fat weight increased when we met. I expressed to him that it would take me a certain amount of time. Remember the length of time it would take us to reverse that enzyme suppression? Three days, three days, and what really happened. It was reversed. in three days, yes, in three days you came back in less than a week and we measure the metabolism of your adipose tissue in our laboratory and we actually reverse the enzyme suppression when that happens, audience, what that means is that the fat cells They are in a constant state. of breakdown of stored fat called triglyceride, then what is happening is that the fat cells are ripping the fatty acids off the glycerol molecule.
Your fat cells are mobilizing what are called fatty acids and we were off to the races and sure enough, you know I taught. I taught you about nutrition, but I really taught you about chemistry, things you can't smell right, things you can't taste, things you can't detect, that you were ingesting in all directions, your foods, your liquids, but also the over-the-counter ones. . analgesic medications antihistamines mouthwash you know things you just didn't think about with your chemical compositions and I shed light on this, then you implemented these changes and what we saw again was extraordinary, a mathematically linear fat loss of about 30 percent of weight of fat per month pretty crazy um we talked about exercise science right, we put you in the human performance lab the first day we measured your muscle metabolism Rob, what did we learn about the types of exercise that you did, the things that you did, but before the program if they were metabolically efficient if you used fat at an efficient rate before the program no no I couldn't lose weight no matter what I did to exercise right you couldn't exercise without that enzyme suppression and in fact what we learned is that when you exercised The way you had done it in the past, your muscles were essentially isolating the utilization of sugar, glucose, and by depleting that glycogen it perpetuated hunger for what was surely starches and junk food, and you could never get rid of them. that pattern is as difficult as you tried, but one day here at the mid-day assessment, um and then the onboarding that happened the following week, I taught you precisely how to exercise, we isolated the fat utilization and it was the exercise, and the exercise has been difficult.
No exercise is uh, it's not difficult at all, it's uh, would you say it's easy? It's really easy. Yes, Rob, what would you tell the audience about your experience of how exercise was prescribed to develop it? It has been difficult? No, did it trigger? any cravings for sugar, starches or junk food no no Cravings no cravings What about overuse injuries? Are you sore after your workouts? You have a pain? Is it difficult in that sense? No, so the exercise was prescribed in a science-based laboratory. It has been relatively easy, incredibly efficient, we are isolating the use of fat, let's talk about the diet plan applied.
We now have a chef here at the Plur Day Institute. What has it been like for you to have a chef trained to implement the prescribed regimen? I like it for you in that aspect, that helped in the beginning, we did it for a couple of weeks and it helped start the program and get you into a pattern of eating the foods that you needed to eat to reverse that suppression. suppression and it helped that the food tasted good yes, of course, exactly. I mean, we have things on the plan like pizza and we have, you know, all kinds of steaks and breaded chicken tenders and dessert options and things that you probably wouldn't think you'd find in a science-based weight loss program, but you did, yeah, and how did that affect your experience just knowing that you had in a library of recipes and all that stuff, how did that affect the feasibility factor?

I would like to talk about your health. transformation how losing 63 pounds of fat from your internal abdominal cavity has affected your blood pressure.
My blood pressure has gone down. I don't think I need to take any more medication for my blood pressure or cholesterol. Everything is far below where it was before. What we're seeing is that his body fat has decreased, he's reversing what we call non-alcoholic fatty liver.
