A Lebanese media outlet claimed that the IDF hit 17 kisah targets during the wave of attacks. The targets include weapons depots and other assets belonging to Hezbollah. The IDF says the attacks are part of the effort to destroy the organization's infrastructure along the entire border area. Defense Minister Yav Gallant visited the IDF Northern Command and said that during the course of the fighting the Half of the force commanders were dead and the rest were in hiding. Gallen said the government's top priority is to safely bring home northern residents who were evacuated at the start of the war and, from the perspective of the military operation, this is a crucial moment, Gallant said, while the The Islamic Republic has spent many years sending weapons and financing to terrorist groups.
In fact, on Israel's borders they have developed a significant presence in Syria with the corpse of their Islamic revolutionary guard, the IRGC, after the attack on Israel and Israel's response; However, that may be changing following Israel's retaliatory attacks against regime sites in Iran, as well as multiple IRGC assassinations. Officials in Syria The Islamic Republic of Iran has begun the withdrawal of most of its IRGC forces in Syria. The move comes amid fears that Israel will continue to target regime officials and Hezbollah operatives as they have done in recent weeks in areas the Iranian regime has abandoned.
They include southern Syria and Damascus and have also reduced manpower in areas where they are still active while the regime claims they have no military presence in Syria. Monitoring groups estimate that around 3,000 Iranian military personnel are based in Syria despite the partial withdrawal. It is likely a sign of weakness on the part of the regime. Israel is likely to continue attacking Hezbollah and IRGC officials in Lebanon and Syria in the coming months, while the US Congress passed a massive aid bill to support Democratic allies such as Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan . Israel was allocated a specified $17 billion for defense support, but beyond this support for Israel, the same aid package also included sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran following its attack on Israel, its growing support for terrorism, and its crimes against the Iranian people, the main piece.
Of the legislation, the Masa Law, named after Iranian Masa Amini, a 22-year-old Kurdish man murdered by morality police, focuses on human rights atrocities in Iran. Here to talk to us about its importance is Sarah Ravia, an Iranian and American activist and fellow visitor. at the National Union for Democracy in Iran, Sarah, thank you very much for joining us today, now that we have discussed the US Congressional bill and its impacts on Israel, but one of the bills included in this package was a sanctions bill to hold the Islamic Republic accountable. The Mass Law So what is the Mass Law and why is it so important?
So the Masa Law is a piece of legislation that sanctions the supreme leader and president of Iran for committing human rights abuses and supporting terrorism. Something new about the Masassa Law is that it penalizes ground corn and chili for human rights abuses specifically now Sarah, you met with many legislators about this bill as part of your work with New York, what was the response? of members of Congress? Did any member of Congress oppose this bill? So from the beginning we had a lot of support from members of the Iranian-American diaspora who supported this bill, which really helped us move further and get the legislators to listen to us.
We had a lot of support from both sides of the aisle, both Republicans and Democrats, and it was largely as a result of the support of the Iranian American community and I saw that over time it took almost two years for this bill to advance to the point that we are seeing Today over time more and more support was possible not only because of the efforts of the Iranian-American community, but also because the regime continued with its human rights abuses and obviously supporting terrorism as we saw after October 7, which that support increased, more people were willing to listen, and lawmakers really made an effort to hold the regime accountable by talking about sanctions, why are they so important when it comes to the Islamic Republic?
So much so that Congress included them in this huge defense bill. More specifically, how will the Massa Law help curb the regime's sinister influence globally so that the Massa Law is for us? Just a first step in holding the Iranian regime accountable, it is up to us as people on the outside to do everything we can within our respective governments to enforce sanctions on the regime and isolate it as much as possible for committing human rights abuses. and supporting terrorism there are several other laws that are included in this package that will also aim to hold the regime and Iran accountable through sanctions now, what kinds of things do these additional bills focus on?
We also saw the passing of the ship act on uh The Anti-Crime Law and the Non-Technology for Terrorism Law, so they all focus on oil and missiles and everything that the Islamic Republic does to export terrorism no only against his own people but also against people from all over the Middle East (now the Iranian Diaspora Community). You have expressed a lot of unity on this bill, have you faced any opposition and, if so, how have you handled it? So we faced opposition and to a large extent the Iranian-American community was apolitical for several decades and we had voices here in Washington DC that we claimed to represent the interests of the Iranian-American community and the people of Iran, through our activism and our mobilization we were able finally bringing the true voice of not only the Iranian-American community here to Washington DC, but also the people. of Iran here in Washington DC, so it was ordinary Iranian-Americans who really rallied behind this bill to support it, to the point that many of them came to Washington DC to advocate and that really changed the dynamic here.
I spoke with many. members of Congress, people who have been involved in politics for decades who said they had never seen a mobilization like this before and we are very proud of our community for mobilizing and organizing the way we did and, to a large extent, it was everything thank you. to the Iranian American community who truly put aside their personal differences and decided to come together and finally speak for the people of Iran instead of those who were misrepresenting our voices. Hopefully the United States and other Western democracies follow through with these sanctions and we can see real support for the Iranian people.

The President also said that the people of Gaza were suffering the consequences of the war that Hamas started and that the United States is working hard to achieve this. as much aid to Gaza as possible, they are suffering the consequences of this war that Hamas started and we have been working intensively for months to get as much aid to Gaza as possible. This bill includes $1 billion for additional humanitarian aid in Gaza.
We will immediately ensure that the aid and surge, including food, medical supplies, clean water, and Israel must ensure that all this aid reaches the Palestinians in Gaza without delay, just before signing the bill that the House Blanca announced that President Biden had met with four years. -The former hostage Abigail Eden. I just got back from being with the president, where he had the opportunity to meet with Abigail León, the 4-year-old American girl who was held hostage by Hamas and Gaza and who was released last November as part of uh. the first hostage deal that the president was able to help broker and negotiate, but it was also a reminder watching it that there are still Americans and others held hostage by Hamas and that they were working around the clock to ensure that all of them can return as well. safely home to their loved ones.
Prime Minister Netanyahu has spoken out about the chaotic situation on American campuses and how young Jewish students are being attacked by anti-Israel mobs. Let's take a closer look at what he said. American campuses have become a battleground in recent weeks with violent, unauthorized anti-Israel protests appearing on major university campuses at Yale and Colombia. There have been physical attacks onJewish people, while on every campus where uprisings have occurred there have been explicit calls for genocide. against Jews, celebrating terrorism, and calling for the bombing of Tel Aviv, among other violent and anti-Semitic messages, the situation has quickly spiraled out of control as campus administrators in places like Colombia have failed to deter harassment. and the threats from these anti-Israel students.
In recent years, Qatar has invested billions of dollars, often unreported, in top American universities and configured its colleges to encourage racist anti-Semitism. Many believe this is a major factor contributing to radicalism on campuses. So far, hundreds of protesters have been arrested, but many more. continue to hold illegal demonstrations to demand that their universities stop investing in Israel on Wednesday Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu joined the chorus of criticism over the handling of these violent protesters. What is happening on America's college campuses is horrible. The anti-Semitic mobs have taken over the main universities that they call for the annihilation of Israel.
They attack Jewish students. They attack Jewish professors. This is reminiscent of what happened in German universities in the 1930s. It is uncontrollable. It must be stopped. It must be condemned and condemned unequivocally. but that's not what happened the response of several university presidents was embarrassing now, fortunately, state local federal officials, many of them have responded differently, but there has to be more, more to do. Prime Minister Netanyahu's comments echo the sentiment expressed by many members of the US Congress who have been following the dramatic scenes on American campuses. While those dramatic scenes continue to unfold in the anti-Israel protests in the west, there have also been numerous violent attacks against Jews in these demonstrations.
This is, of course, where the same violent protesters have been openly calling for genocide against Jews and supporting terrorist groups such as Hamas. One of the victims of such attacks last week in New York City was Miss Israel Noah Koka, who was here to talk to us about what happened, Noah, thank you very much for joining us today, just to start. Can you share with us what happened in New York at the anti-Israel protest and how you are doing since the incident? First of all, hello. What happened to me was really scary because I was right in Time Square and I had my Israeli flag with me because we were making videos about Israel and they just saw us, saw that we were from Israel and decided to attack us to attack.
We took down our flag. One of the guys had a Star of David necklace and they literally knocked him down. And one of the boys came towards me with his sign and tried to attack me with it and he succeeded. He punched me with his cane, I guess close to my eye, I would say I'm fine, that's how it was, it was very scary, it took me a few days, I would just like to shake that feeling of hate out of me because Eventually my physical damage was not really harsh, but it's hard to stop feeling like someone literally hit me based on who I am and the fact that I'm from Israel or that I'm Jewish.
He had no idea. who I am and that's what I think is a terrible thing here, that these people don't really know that the people they are attacking are based on religion, on the fact that they are from Israel. What was your experience there? At the protest, what kinds of things have you heard these anti-Israel protesters say? Were there any other violent incidents that you are aware of? They called me Miss Genocide because they recognized me as Miss Israel, so they changed my name to Miss Genocide, um, all kinds of things, yeah, there's violence there all the time because that's the problem they're trying to say. who are pro protesting for peace but are actually using violence which makes no sense to me as a normal person and yes absolutely how have the NYPD or other government agencies responded?
What is happening with these protesters and what do you think should be done to stop them? So in my case, there were police guards near us and we tried to tell them that this guy attacked me and they literally couldn't do anything there. There were like 5,000 protesters, so all they did was just tell us to stay off the map because they were actually afraid that we couldn't use them, the C's, even though it was our right to be there. with Israeli flags, uh, so they literally pushed us away and to avoid this kind of thing I feel like it's more something with the people with the people themselves because normal people like that if we compare our protest, our demonstrations with them, we never use violence all we do is sing all we do is hug each other cry together um and that's the difference I feel I just like to understand that we're not them what's your message for Jewish students in particular who face this type of violence and even threats on campus, uh, first of all, I'm sorry that someone after all these years literally feels like yesterday I went to Colombia and I felt afraid because I was afraid, I was afraid for my life and these kinds of things are things that happen in Germany years ago, first of all, I'm sorry to have to go through something like this, but I feel like all we can do now is exactly what they are doing.
I have seen all the kidnapped posters that are hanging. inside the university and the Israeli flags and just to talk. Raise your voice. I feel like everyone in Israel, every Jewish community, everyone in the Jewish community is with them and we all have to stand together and show them that we can't. being absolutely broken continue to be strong and fearless as much as possible uh thank you very much for your courage in the face of such extremism Israel is very lucky to have you thank you very much Miss Israel Noah KFA thank you, thank you Have a good day yesterday Hamas released a propaganda video of the Israeli-American hostage Hirh Goldberg Poland, who has been held captive under Hamas captivity since October 7.
