'Pink Heliconia' Stacked and Wrecked Ring Pours in Pinks and Greens using TLP's! Fluid Art Tutorial

Mar 26, 2024
thank you hello my name is Nate welcome to my

fluid

art channel uh tonight me and for my premiere train on Tuesday um I'm teaming up once again with Julie e to do our monthly color collaboration and this month I chose the color green, no It is a color I use it very often and normally when I use it I combine it with the color blue. I think it's one of my favorite color combinations, but I don't wear green very often, so I wanted a little more practice, so she and I are doing

greens

this week. her video is coming after mine and uh she I've already seen it it's beautiful you'll love it so I built my color palette around these two

greens

this is Amsterdam sap green which is a very dark green color and it dries up. even darker than it looks on camera and this is this piggy with asparagus that is a beautiful type of moss green and has a golden shimmer to it.

I think it will be beautiful with that and instead of going to my comfort zone. I decided to combine my greens with some

pink

s. I'd never actually used a green and

pink

color combination before it scared me a little, so I think I've found a way to find something interesting here, so this lighter. The pink is Amsterdam Persian Rose which is a beautiful soft pink and this is a mix of two different pigments from this little piggy. I've shown Pony and Supernova and this was too vibrant and purple for me so I wanted to tone it down.

More Interesting Facts About,

I actually started by mixing a little bit of Supernova, it's a nice pink with a golden shimmer and to brighten it up a little I added a little bit of this at a time until I got the color I want, so I think it's pretty. palette I also have some Amsterdam titanium white to put in between the colors and first what I'm going to do is layer some cups with green and pink in separate cups and I'm going to stack some

ring

pores. I'll do the green one. First I put a little bit of white and then I put the

pinks

on top of that and then I'm going to ruin it to see how it turns out, I hope because I'm putting the green on the bottom so the pink will be like the focal color with accents of green, so that's what I'm going to do.

I also have some Krill Essentials Acrylic Chroma since my mixed base coat is a little thinner than the rest. I'll show you I'll use the pink to show you the consistency of my paints so you can see that, oh look at the glitter, that's not going to be beautiful, this is my This Little Piggy pigment, uh in show Pony. and what was the other one, yeah, those two people, those two pink ones, um, but you can see it's a medium thickness, it leaves a mound on top of another and it runs off the stick cleanly, but it disappears pretty quickly. you know, two seconds or something, so I think this will be the perfect consistency.

My base coat color is a little thinner than that just because its job is to help all these other paints glide on, so I'm going to start. pou

ring

a little puddle of white and each of these spots here where I'm going to make the quarter rings and pour into that, here we go, let's layer a cup, another glass and I'm going to places that make me laugh. the irony of it all, like the way you think, I don't really care about music, I don't care at all, honey, you've got my attention, it's a pretty lonely world we live in, special, I'm sure it's all total.
Feel when you're next to me Thank you where you want to go I mean Adventure Times in the universe so you were saying I don't see the logic of special things I'm sure everything makes sense when you're next to me thank you even if I told you that I could never let you go I'm not so sure I'll never let you go no I don't see the logical things it's a pretty lonely world we're living in special I'm sure everything makes total sense when you're by my side everything is strange strange and you were on your way come closer a little more would you give me over one more time please night when we touch the handles in my head but it's nothing more than a dream come true?
A little closer, would you have me again one more time? And I could never dream another dream because when I dream of you another face appears and doesn't go away, it stops being strange, so here are the wet results of my mangled

stacked

ring pores. I don't know what I was afraid of pink and green they are beautiful together oh my god I love this so much. You could probably tell while he was trashing that he had a plan that he wanted. I had a specific inspiration for this and it's called

heliconia

. There's a tropical flower that I have all over my garden here in Costa Rica and there's a specific variety called sexy rose and it's the most beautiful type of lacy leaves and it has these very, very vibrant pink flowers and that was my inspiration.
I was trying to create that

heliconia

flower shape. I'll put a photo of one so you can see what I was going for, but I couldn't be happier with this. These greens are spectacular. I can't wait to see how it dries because I know there's some highlights in there and I know I'm not going to be able to get there to be a little bit of Shimmer, but look at these beautiful lines and the

pinks

here and the greens here, oh my gosh, I used the back of a Sharpie to destroy because I wanted to get as much paint out as possible.
I thought about

using

a marble to destroy, but I wanted to have more control over the shape it would take. because in the composition so look at that oh wow I'm so happy with it wow those greens along with the pink I'm going to have to do this color combination again this is beautiful I love it I love it I love how the mangled lines here I altered it all but I created some really interesting details. The corners are great, yes this is real. I love it. I knew it was going to be because I put the pink on top.
I put the green first and put the pink on top. I knew pink would do it. I know the dominant color, but the green really gives it some depth and it really needed texture. OMG, it's so beautiful I can't stop looking at it. I really hope it dries well. You probably noticed that halfway through I lost one. from the pins in my corner I almost knocked it all off the table, um, but I managed to do something anyway, so yeah, I'm very happy with this. I hope you guys like it too, stay tuned for dry results, here are the mostly dry results, it's still a little wet in the middle but all the edges have dried and it dried perfectly, exactly as I expected, there is a big glow there, not sure if that shows and the light, but these lines are gorgeous.
I'm super happy with it. Now I'm thinking I should make this in a couple more color combinations. Look at the sides. I love the sides. I love when the pattern reaches the edges. It's great. So yes, thank you. Thanks so much for looking. Subscribe if you haven't given me the thumbs up yet, leave me a comment and come back to me sometime.
