Courage is when you do it. something even though it may be scary or difficult during a dangerous battle they had to travel in boats past the enemy cannons the wind was weak that day so they were going very slowly the soldiers began to wonder if they would survive and began to panic Joan stayed positive and told them He spoke encouraging them and assuring them that everything would be fine soon the winds picked up and they sailed past the enemy cannons without being hit later during the battle the captains had attacked but the army was not well Joan heard what was happening and knew they needed her help She jumped on her horse and galloped to the front of the battle.

There she saw many wounded soldiers. She felt sympathy for them. Sympathy is when you feel bad for someone and you want to help them. Joanne rode her horse into battle and the soldiers began to cheer. They fought harder and eventually won the battle. Jones saw that many of the enemy soldiers had been injured even though they were the enemy. She still cared for them. She eventually became known as Joan of Arc. Joan gave hope to the soldiers.
