when he was coming up and um, then I started watching more movies about him, uh, little movies about John when he was younger, how he got to the basket, how he made plays and then a lot of stuff like young CP and uh and Tony Parker I started to seeing a lot of those New Orleans guys for me, so I'm from New Orleans, so I watched him grow up a little bit, um, go back and watch, obviously, the way he plays now and the way he was playing in New Orleans, it was like night and day.

Even before the games, I still watch a lot of movies about a young CP. Wow, that's impressive, that's impressive, yeah, in New Orleans, man with those series he had with San Antonio. Things like that, yeah, he was a friend, he was amazing, he was actually amazing, absolutely. I talked about you being the fifth pick in the 2017

and I wanted to ask you a question. I know Lonzo, like you said. Lonzo was

ed before you, um, obviously, JT was drafted before you Markel folks, and then, uh, and okay, here's my question. I know when I look back at the beginning of my career, I think about young people and you actually just mentioned one that I'm about to talk about.

I think Brandon Knight. he was a year ahead of me in the NBA draft, uh, I'm sure he was actually Kyrie Irving who would destroy Brandon Knight every time they played and I had a relationship with Kyrie. Kyrie still didn't like Brandon Knight because everyone thought that. they were better with him in high school, so every time he played against Brandon Knight in the NBA, he destroyed him, like if you think about rookie software, yeah, remember, remember, Kyrie took him down, yeah, okay, so that goes to the end. I'm back in high school and what I wanted to ask you is do you feel a personal rivalry with those guys who were recruited before you, especially the guards?

Do you feel like you know Lonzo? Markel. Fake, not not necessarily Josh Jackson, not necessarily JT as they are. wings, but against those guards who were drafted before you, where you like, he probably should have been the number one pick. I'm a point guard, if they were looking for a point guard, it's me, yeah, you still feel that rivalry when you play with those guys or not, really, ah, no, really, I think the only person that would have been a rivalry per se would have been. been Zoe and that's only because we played each other twice in college like I never got to play.

I played uh, I never played against JT, I never played against Markel and then obviously when we were dating, you know, those pops were, you know, he was loud at the time, but now he had three kids in the league, but like he was loud in that moment. everyone was making it into something that wasn't like me and Zoe was great because we had been in camps together, we had been in the DraStic like we did a lot of things together obviously when we walked on the court like it wasn't like that. It's not a brother like everything was competing, but off the court, you know, it was never like that, huh, but that would have been the only one and then we were in the same division, we were both drafted to perfection, so we were playing between we. one year, um, so that would have been the only one that would have been, but even then, for me it was never really a rivalry, but for some people, you know, they tried, you know, Kentucky, UCLA Kings Lakers, it was.

It was supposed to be something like that, but it never really was and then, um, kale got hurt for a while so I never, I probably only played kale probably two or three times in my career at this point, wow , were you online so it was never really a rivalry because you felt like it wasn't better and it's not a rivalry or was it, I mean I think we had such different games that it was never really like going against someone like me, like whoever Whatever it is, it's up to me. I think it's a big step in life and you and your wife have taken that step, how do you feel? What feelings did that bring up in you? It was great, well, one like you, all of you, actually, because Rasay worked for all of you for a year um, but it was probably the best The best day of my life um, but you see, I can't stop smiling um, It was man, it was great, like we had been together for a while and I mean, she was like she was Yo's wife, she always makes sure it's good before anything else.

She played basketball, she also played basketball at a high level, so it's like I have another coach in my ear, but when I come home after a bad game or something, she doesn't go. Don't say anything because she's been through it, she's a coach's daughter, um, but she's a great man. I feel like there aren't many things better than getting married, especially marrying the person you feel like you're going to be with forever. look at your face it says everything it says everything and that's amazing uh see I love you you know just seeing people find their person you know you go through this life and it's um you know what it is you know for every good thing it gives there's something The negatives too, you know, I think people always think, oh, it's just positive, this positive, but having someone to like goes through everything, I think it's absolutely amazing and I've heard it and you just said it, you know. wife who I've heard talk about like you know she goes to your practices with you and will be on the court with you what's that like to share and not and know that you both have the same passion for the game of basketball?

Yes, yes, and until everything is official, during the season, as if she were here.
