Mar 07, 2024
someone was joking about starting a reality show like a fake reality show like a bachelor style or it's like winning Natalie's heart and all the guys were like Zayn and I think Jeff was there, they're all saying who do you think would beat David David. I don't think Elio has been here yet, but I feel like he was going to be. On the show, he was a contestant and everyone was laughing about it and like I had no idea about anything and every once in a while you did that thing where You like to have that big smile on your face and you attracted me inside you.

natalie

, will you be my girlfriend? oh, really, yeah, and everyone got furious, they said oh outside, no, never, yeah, wait, that was like that, it would have been like that, it was like a year before we saw a year before, yeah, that's it. crazy and then, but yeah, Natalina came because we exchanged phone cases and she, oh, remember, yes I remember we exchanged phone cases, yeah, yeah, I thought, oh, that was the highlight of my two months of getting your case phone number and then the rest.

Did you know what you would do the rest of the year? You were right? Yeah, but yeah, crazy story, uh, that's not it, and then Adelina came out and then at the same time Natalina came out, the sign with my drunk text message appeared, yeah, and so on. It was a crazy like two weeks and everyone thought we liked that the billboard was a promo for the song, but it was a coincidence, yeah, we played it like it was, because I think because we'd been sitting on it for a few weeks. The point is when it's coming out, yeah, but the timing was crazy, well it was around Valentine's Day, yeah, so I feel like it all made sense, you know, yeah, they just happened to come together perfectly, yeah, it smells, but yeah , a crazy story.
why natalie mariduena fell in love with toddy smith ep 34
You're everything, you're there all the time, brett, I was right going back to October, like uh, when I saw you in Denver, you were talking about it, oh, on tour, it's crazy that we're still together. because it started, I mean, I

love

you, but it's so crazy because it started as a joke. I thought there's no fucking way I'm ever going to date Todd and especially since I always put this up. I like this front, especially like in David's videos, where I was like, you know, I'm like the mom of the group, I'm like the boss and I'm like I have everything together and all that and like all these other guys. they're too crazy and too wild and too immature or whatever and then I ended up with Todd like you know, it's like the silliest and cutest thing I've ever read in my life, it's kind of funny, I feel like when it all really made sense it was when I saw them on vacation because, like you, it's so strange, but vacations can make or break relationships, but you like the excitement you get from trying new restaurants, going to new places, having new experiences like everyone else on the group of friends.
why natalie mariduena fell in love with toddy smith ep 34
It was like I don't know, yeah, no, no, I completely agree. Think it is so. I feel like, for some reason, we're very compatible in the way we like the things we're interested in. or the things I don't know, I think we just fit together, whether it's a movie or like going to try new things or going to new places, like we both like to go with the flow in a sense, I know, it was one of the things that Todd used to say to me all the time, it's like: I

love

you, you're so calm, you know, I was like that, that was one of my award-winning characteristics, um, but it's just, yeah, it's kind of interesting, like a lot of things that I never expected to like them, click with Todd, we just do it, yeah, and even personality-wise, I don't know, it's weird how all those things come together, but yeah.
I think we are different and the same at the same time you know she is much smarter than me. Wow, that's the first time I've heard him say that on certain things, yeah, I'm just kidding, no, yeah, I think we are, like you said. I have some kind of understanding of who I am or what I'm doing on a daily basis and I assume that people know all the weird things I'm doing because I'm doing them, but no one really knows because I don't really talk about what my day is like. day or what businesses I'm helping to start or develop or whatever I'm doing and I feel like that's something I'm trying to get better at. Communicating that to people that I'm no longer this assistant, that that hasn't been my role for so long. I mean, something I always say too is that there is no task too big or too small, even as I have progressed. um in my career I'll still book a flight or pick up lunch if I need to you know I don't care at the end of the day like um I know where my skills are or like where my career is going and things like that, I don't know, but I think a lot of what I do on a day-to-day basis, I mean, I spend a lot of time emailing and calling people literally all day, which is kind of boring.
That's why I feel like I don't share it that often, but yeah, I mean, I help David run all the businesses that he does or has and I'm trying to start a couple of my own businesses that I have. I haven't really liked announcing it or talking about it yet, but I will soon and, um, I really do, I really love it, you know, all these social media followers that influence all those things just came about completely involuntarily and like I never would have known that would happen or you know. I anticipated something like this and it's been a blessing, obviously, because I have a platform to do all these amazing, really interesting things and I have so many opportunities to work with brands that Cholula literally sent me hot sauce yesterday. my face on her is really cool, cool, the photo they put on there looks like she looks like a super sexy latin drug dealer like that, that's amazing, yeah, yeah, I mean, it's crazy and the people I've gotten to to meet him, it's like it's crazy and, um, but it's all totally involuntary and I feel like I thrive behind the scenes, things like I love managing people and delegating things, I kind of feel like that's where I get high. things um and that's my focus, I just want to focus on being that business woman or like a woman that people and my audience and other girls or women can look up to and say, oh, like she got a chance and she got it. took advantage and I can do this too if I put my mind to it or if I try something new or just do something that I always wanted to do, like you know, you can, you can do anything and yes, I will do it. ex without being too cryptic, but I'm excited about a lot of things I have in store for the rest of the year and, yeah, yeah, I know what some of those things are too, so I'm pretty excited too. now, but seriously, I think we've all talked about this before, but you know your unique story where you come from and you start as an assistant and you continue to rise through the ranks and now you're your sports poster child and not only am I excited to see where you're going and proud of you as a friend, but I also think like so many, I think you're going to change so many lives as young girls who can look up to you and know that more, more is possible. than they expected, I think it's an amazing platform you have and the way you're using it is special.
Many influencers are people in this community who cannot say that they have done many things than you. you're doing, which is great, yeah, yeah, and like Jason says it all the time, when we do things as a group, Natalie is like the mom of the group and when we realize when we haven't had Natalie around, yeah. you just hit the fan and like nothing worked and you hold it all together and everyone remembers Jason because Natalie's not here, like where is Natalie so hold this all together I'm trying and maybe this is a compliment to both of them and I don't think you give yourself enough credit for this, but the group does.
I feel like people only go places if they like it, if no one is invited, they don't do anything if something isn't. I didn't do anyone, it's hard to explain, but it's like you two are like glue, like I didn't get a text from any of you to tell me something was going on or that you were all doing something like me. I'll probably just go to bed that night, but when I make an effort to connect everyone like yeah, you guys do such an amazing job that when I look back at some of the most amazing nights in LA that I've ever had or some of the best trips I've ever been on it was all thanks to you guys whether you let me know or you put it on or you actually put it on at night and I feel like when you ask a lot of people in your friend group probably everyone would say the same thing and I think maybe that's another thing that you two intentionally don't realize that brings everyone together is very important, that's great, yeah, thank you, yeah, yeah, I know one more.
Another thing I want to congratulate you on, um, this is not the normal part you're acting in, my acting, yeah, the messy benches and my other sketches, I was very impressed until like many other people, she was very natural in it and I was so excited to see you because you're a great actress because I mean I just randomly asked you to be in it yeah and I guess I feel like I don't know if I put too much pressure on you. or hopefully not, it got me excited, I mean, I can't do anything every time, no, I think your performance was really good, so thanks for being in it, okay, I'll take it, thanks, yeah, do you miss the views? podcast that I do I love podcasting the way I like it I feel like I can talk all day and I feel like I'm also pretty good at small talk and continuing a conversation I feel like that's why everywhere David goes I feel like number One of the The reason he brings me there is because he hates small talk and I love it, so we'll be like a group of cool people and he'll be exhausted from all the talking and I'll just chime in and be like yeah, we're doing this and then that's it. you know and I like to get high on it and then I feel like I don't know, I just like to talk and especially if I don't know, there's less pressure, I feel like an Environment like this where there's not an audience or someone that you're trying to impress necessarily.
I guess it depends on your guest, but yeah, I think it's a lot of fun, so yeah, we can come here anytime. Okay, yeah, just get started. your ownpodcast yeah hey you never know when you did it So when you moved to LA and obviously you had an Instagram and you were public or private on Instagram public yeah public and you started getting followers and then you made a couple of deals brand deal and that's when you started, yeah, my first brand deal. I mean I always loved social media? It's always funny because when we were in high school, David and I used to compete over who would have the most followers and stuff specifically on Twitter for some reason, I don't know why and um.
I usually always had more followers and it was always fun that the tables had turned, you know, yeah and um, but I always liked being like the queen of Snapchat, every period I was Snapchatting like it was a selfie or something what I was doing or whatever, I just instinctively like it, I love sharing because it feels cool, you know, it feels cool to be able to have other people see what I'm doing and take cool photos or something artistic, you know, tumblresque 2008 um. but yeah, I remember filming my first brand deal and like I was so nervous for David, I didn't want David to see me filming my first new deal because he was like, Can you make fun of me?
What are you saying? for a tall smile, like a teeth whitening company that like all the influencers and their mom was promoting in 2018 2017 whatever and it was for like 250 bucks which was like hell yeah it was like two paydays, you know and um. It was like shooting a little video in the back bathroom and I had to do transitions like my hair moving like all these things, it was very boring, but that was the first one, my first little deal with a brand, yeah, wow, yeah, hi , smile, hello, smile, remember. I saw you as if you had made a Heineken, right?
Yeah, that was in 2019. Okay, but yeah, damn, it was cool, I know, yeah, it was because of their non-alcoholic beer that they came out with. I'll have some. of this, because you're 25, I think to promote alcohol, but, yeah, I was really cool, it was like there's really some really cool brands that I've been able to work with. Yes, any brand you want to work with now. I mean, I really want to get into, I feel like I've said this all along, like I really want to get into fashion, yeah, and only if I want to say, I know if it's like creating content for the brand or just doing campaign shoots. because I feel like SportsIllustrated has opened up the modeling shop, you know if you're going to do it and it's so fun to get dressed up and glamorous and take photos and I love that and um, I don't know I love doing some similar campaigns or just working with fashion brands.
I really really want to go to Fashion Week in September. I'm like in New York, in New York or Paris. I mean, I'll take a ticket forever. Yes, that's really it. That's one of my big goals for this year, yeah, you went to Fashion Week two years ago, three years ago, yeah, with David, yeah, we went to some really cool shows, but yeah, and that was great, yes, very funny, but. Are we still moving to New York? Oh my goodness, yes, in the fall we were sitting. We've been saying for three or four months that we were all going to get up.
I know we were supposed to be like we were supposed to. get an apartment together, yeah, in April, maybe, yeah, that didn't happen, we could, we could do it in September and then just stay there for fashion, I know I thought well about that then because we were thinking oh, in the summer , but then all my You know, our friends in New York were saying you can't get an apartment in New York and in the summer it's so hot and everyone goes away like they're away from the Hamptons, yeah, yeah, should we do it in September?
September, okay, I feel like that team we had. New York I could see this was like we were hanging out, yeah, like we had it, it was like a good small group and I feel like in New York everything is a lot smaller so it's like you don't want to have our group of friends, do you? TRUE? Now it's like 18 deep, like it's crazy, every time we have to go in or go somewhere, I'm like, yeah, more like 12 and then they say okay, um, so that can be a little painful, but I also. I think people in New York have such a different vibe and there's such a different mindset there that I feel like all of us could benefit from it, even if it's temporary.
Do you think everyone would follow us there? Although no, that's it. what everyone says i doubt people will do it people yes people say yes let's move to new york let's move to taiwan or something but they never actually never do it we should do it I want to do it I'm just a little worried for going so soon, maybe 2023, yeah we could do 20 23, I think Doe Briggs will be released in August and September so that seems kinda cool to me, let's wait for it to be released, yeah I have to be here . for that it will be, it will be good, are you excited about Doe or Zeela bricks more?
I mean the foot bricks obviously oh my gosh the dough breaks the pizza I literally like it I like to dream about it like it's so good it's so good there will be a gluten free option for the bread um No, maybe we'll make a custom Cinco or bread. I asked Elia and Hillary's like no there are no gluten free options well we're really trying to stick to our signature things and you don't really know like similar to like in and out there's like four items on the menu like you don't want to have too many things the client says oh what do I get, what do I get, I don't know? which is good, you know no, she loves you too,

natalie

, I used to be, you know, I played soccer all my life and during college, I was very fit and I worked out every day of my life and then I came here and I completely immersed myself. in my career and I just like to grind and grind, grind and work, and I didn't put my fitness and my health first and now I'm like now, I'm at a point where I'm like, you know what I really like? ?
I need to put myself first, that's like my mantra. I feel like I'm at a point now where I'm wondering what Natalie wants to do, how Natalie wants to do it, and I just like doing it. So fitness, health and mental health is number one in the sense that you can't do anything without doing that first, yeah, I think that's great and I think we've all caught that wave recently mm-hmm health. First, health is wealth. I feel like a lot of people like, yeah, the post-pandemic is on. You know, everyone realized that it's okay, I have myself in this world.
I even started meditating like once a week. Oh really yeah which is crazy but it actually helps a little bit anything you wanna yell or he always says plug plug plug and he just stops you see someone embarrassed so in front of me yeah cuz you want to say anything, you want to plug anything into a socket so that He couldn't say it, he always makes the same joke, whatever you want to say and then he'll like to make a sexual joke, but this time he got it. I noticed it because we've done this so many times that he surprised himself.
Todd is the king. to turn moments into sexual jokes, anything you want to communicate or any advice you want to give, any woman or man who is watching this and who admires you, I think we live in a time now where, if you don't do it, take the opportunity what you have in front of you there will never be any change you will never be able to take advantage of that moment get that job meet that guy whatever you are trying to do whatever you are trying to achieve and I really try hard, I give credit to the fact that I am capable of taking those leaps and taking those opportunities and being, literally, having the mindset of just going out there and just doing it, saying what you want to say and do. what you want to do and that's what I try to encourage other people to do because if you don't do it you'll never know.
Yes, as cliché as it is, but yes, I think it's a great way to experience the cube. bucket mentality be present mentality yeah no that's what you liked um asking to come see a movie literally even though you denied it I don't even think we kissed that night no we didn't try no you did it. You even tried, you were literally frozen the entire time I was, I'm complaining about it two years later, she passed out like in the first five minutes, no I don't know, maybe I did, she passes out with her arms above her his head, like this.
I have a very intense dream but well, natalina, thank you for coming to the podcast, yes, thank you all for inviting me, finally we are both very grateful for you in our lives, maybe he more than me for different reasons, yes, yes, this It has been good.
