angles and then you put your hot glue strip on. In fact, I would recommend using a stronger glue like hot wood glue. Well I call it hot wood glue, but link below in my description box if you're going to see the glue I use for that. It says it glues metal and glass on everything so I recommend using a stronger hot glue for this project and then I also put a little bit of glue right where the angle meets and as it dries I move up and do it up to the top too. because when you paint it it will make it look like one solid piece so it will just show or you could also use wood filler if you wanted but it looks really nice and I want this tray to be warmer because it's a

fall

tray. so I chose to use the territorial beige color of the apple barrel paint to wear it down a bit.

I'm not trying to make it look like wood, but more like painted wood, maybe or just stressed a little, maybe the paint chipped a little. off but if I have a distressed look that's fine too and I took a little mod podge. Now I'm going to paste my print with the mod podge, so after I paste the print, I'll grab my

made blank. paint with chalk and paint those little legs. Now look what happens when I paint towards the right corner where the hole is. Look how it disappears, that's because I put hot glue on the inside seam and, you know, it curled up and melted. hole and it behaves like a wood putty and makes your legs look more connected and nice and now after it dries I'm just taking some apple barrel paint again in territorial beige and distressing it for myself, this part is important, I always take the darker color. and make sure you put it in the seams because with an old tray those are the parts that would get dirty and collect dust over time and that seems to me like it adds a little more realism in my opinion so that's what I'm doing here, I'm just adding the darker color around the edges and that's it.

You know, the possibilities are endless with them, so I'm just reaching for the napkin. which I used for the other pumpkins because I want to tie them and I'm actually making this for a friend who is transitioning from the French countryside to the country court so all of these DIYs are for her and I'm going to make that pumpkin match the first ones little wooden ones that I made and this is very simple, it's good old fashioned decoupage, you're just going to tear up your napkins, put mod podge on your pumpkin and tap that puppy to get it to fit into the slots so you don't lose your shape pumpkin because you want people to know that you made a pumpkin and that's it, you can find and follow me on both Instagram and Pinterest.

I have something really cool. I made a craft board for my subscriber friends, so when you're inspired by something I make and you make it. I'd love to see a photo of it even if it's not something I did, maybe it just inspired you to create something like a spin-off. I'd still love to see it though. I would love to see what you guys do and I thought Pinterest was a perfect place because it's where a lot of people look for inspiration and it's a great way for the rest of the world to also appreciate what you guys have done so I had a lot of questions about how to do it. this.
You upload your photo as a pin on Pinterest and then you can send it to me in a private message. On Pinterest there is a little symbol on the left side if you are on Pinterest. a computer that looks like a pin, literally a bulletin board pin and a plus sign and you click on it and that will allow you to share your pin with me and then I can share it on my board. Now I used to upload them myself, but I was getting some complaints that it was getting confusing which were my crafts and which were other people's, so now I don't do that anymore.
I have to upload it as a separate pin to keep it, I guess, less confusing for everyone if you want people to know who did it, make sure you write your name below. There's the title. If you are a private person, you can simply write a description of what you did and you don't have to write anything at all. That's fine too, but really. I appreciate all of you talented people, thank you so much to those of you who have shared your crafts with me, it's been a pleasure to watch, so as you can see I ended up having to thread this little guy and my fingers didn't touch it.
So much so that I didn't accidentally remove the napkins while trying to apply them and I used a piece of foam from a package I bought of something I ordered and that's a great trick for anything you need to, you know, have minimal contact with wooden beads like Easter eggs, you'll see later in this video. I use it again, but the foam block saved them for betting and letting things air dry. It works great so I choose to use a cinnamon stick for the stem just to add a little scent for my friend I thought it would be cute it will be like a little pumpkin with a really pretty smell and you just push it down in the center of the foam.
I get a lot of questions about Those scissors on the right side were also from a girls' gardening set from Walmart about 10 years ago that my kids bought me, but I'm pretty sure it's a tool you can find at any garden center as well. That's it and cut it off. The wood is nice because it's intended for pruning roses, so I've had good luck with it, and of course we're going to keep with the lace theme. I'm just making a little lace bow. I'm going to hot glue it on. I'm going to add some greenery and some raffia and that's it, we're going to end up with a super cute little cottage core French pumpkin for this craft.
You will need this printable. It's actually a free download for your desktop as wallpaper, some wooden beads. I'm using the

dollar

tree

beads and this dollar tree dry erase board and some wax. Now, in retrospect, I recommend that you use a water-based stain or just brown paint to do the imitation. wood I'm using wax so I put it in there so you know what I used but we're fine we'll wait until we get to that part but it probably wasn't the best choice so I'm using a blush brush it's another one of my methods favorites to spread this wax and try to make this board look like faux wood, it doesn't have to be perfect because it will be covered, you know, a little bit with the photo, so just me.
I'm more worried about the edges and I'm just tapping it here and brushing it lightly while the wax dries to try to get different dimensions and textures to make it more like wood, so this ends up being one of my favorite crafts, but this is what happens. I did not roughen the surface of the whiteboard and did not put any mod podge on it. I didn't take any steps. Primer, nothing to make it more, you know, for adhesion, so the wax stayed. wanting to rub it   I don't know if I would have left it overnight for hours   if it would have eventually cured, it seems like now   when I touch it it doesn't change, but when I use my favorite method of not crumpling the glue stick right there, the tree glue stick of the dollar, the wax and the glue stick don't mix and I think it's because the glue stick is a little waxy and the wax is waxy and they just didn't stick together so you can see how easy it is.
I'm lifting it up, I actually left it there to show you how easy, I mean, it doesn't stick, so I'm just trimming the edge there and off camera I end up lifting it up, I do half a side at a time, you know? side than the other, I end up putting mod podge underneath and drying it just so the image will stick, but I warn you to rough up the surface a little, use a water based acrylic paint or stain if I'm going to do wax, wait all the time. night to let it cure and dry before trying to stick your image on, so here's something oldie but goodie: We take the dollar tree beads, put them on a skewer, and paint them.
I was in the mood to do it. This and my favorite method to do this is the sponge brush because it has that tapered end and it allows you to twist the beads and put the tapered end between them and that way you hit everything and the beads require two coats so this is my first coat with my

home

made chalk paint if you're interested in this video it's a new recipe I love it it's one coat for the most part I mean these bees are super shiny but it's super super silky and soft and for those of you who had trouble finding the ingredient for my original chalk paint video, this is a wonderful alternative and I'll leave the link below in my description box for that video so the foam is there again and again, it's a great place to dry things And I ended up taking them, you know, I want to make them a little bit warmer, so I use the apple barrel paint on the antique parchment and I just do one layer of that and that's perfect, all the colors are completely covered and you can see them. they came off very easily, they didn't stick to the skewer stick, so everything went very well and now I'm just taking them and hot gluing them around this picture and this is what we have so far because I wasn't sure if my friend I wanted the extra ribbon and embellishments on this because maybe I think she would prefer to hang it as a breadboard eventually when it falls over and that's another thing.
Some of these DIYs like the tray and lady are definitely year round DIYs, they're not just for fall so I wanted to give you that option so I just made a little bow out of the dollar tree lace ribbon there and I made a lasso and, you know, I fanned it, but I tied it using some dollar. Tree thread and vegetation on the side. I'm just going to use it and stick it under the thread so I can take it off again, but this is one of my favorite DIYs today, I think it turned out absolutely beautiful, it's perfect for both the rural core and the French countryside because both looks celebrate the romantic version of living in the country or on a romantic farm and lastly, I take my black marker and go along the edge just to distress it a little bit and That's it, I love how this came out.
If you had fun today, don't forget to give me a big thumbs up. It really helps this video to be seen on YouTube and until next time take a deep breath, don't worry and do things that make you happy foreigner
