serial killer tattoos

Apr 09, 2020
Hey guys, this video goes back to my roots a little bit. I feel like I used to do a lot more true crime content and there are a few reasons why I stopped, first of all it's the instant D monetization of this video. I know it's probably going to be monetized D. I feel like just saying the D word is going to monetize it on a YouTube video, they're like, oh, she thinks it's going to be monetized D. Well, there's got to be a reason for that, so let's monetize it. And you guys have been very patient with my sponsorships lately, so I really appreciate it.

Who cares if these videos were monetized? Secondly, I feel like what is my hair, oh my gosh, I haven't put conditioner in a week because I was in the desert, another reason I stopped making true crime content is because I felt like nothing was original anymore and I didn't need to just sit here and regurgitate the same information you've heard for a long time. millions of times about famous

serial

killer

s, so I've been thinking about different ways that I could still do true crime and content, but to make it original, the day we're going to do a little bit more of a commentary video about something I really hate, so someone had asked me to make a video about my pet peeves.

More Interesting Facts About,

serial killer tattoos...

Well, today we'll cover an important one. If you're interested, I'll link to all of my true crime videos that I've done in the past if you want to see something similar. For my part, I'll link everything below in the description box, so first I just want to say that I have nothing against true crime and I'm interested in true crime, fascinated by it, even obsessed with it, that's okay , you know, I like the movies that come out. I have a Ted Bundy movie coming out May 3rd on Netflix. If you want to know my opinion on it, I'm thinking about doing it on my horror channel.
serial killer tattoos
Of course, we have documentaries, podcasts, books, like there are so many true crimes. content and I like entertainment and I don't think there's anything wrong with being fascinated and interested in it, so I'm just throwing it out there. I love it. It's not strange to say that I love it. I'm interested. I'm one of those people who enjoys a good true crime documentary. Also, there is nothing against

tattoos

. I have a small one too. You know, I don't have a problem with people putting whatever they use on their body, it doesn't affect anyone else. As long as you like it, that's all that matters, except when you combine the two, when you combine

tattoos

and real crimes, like

serial

killer

s, then you're treading into strange waters, then I feel like it starts to affect other people in that situation and I'll explain why in a second, but I was first exposed to the concept of killer tattoos on Tumblr.
serial killer tattoos
You guys remember Tumblr back then was more about school shooters. For some reason, the real criminal community there was appearing. I'm not sure if there is still a true criminal community on Tumblr right now, since Google bought them and made everything much more PG, but I do know that there is still a younger true criminal community, especially on Instagram, already. that there are hashtags for her and stuff like that and it's still the same thing you'd expect to see on tumblr, but there was a time when everyone was trying to be edgy and claim to love you, you know various murderers from different types of crimes and different shootings.
The 20th anniversary of Columbine actually just happened and I highly recommend watching the video that asks a mortician about the kinds of misconceptions about the Columbine events if you want a little more clarity about the event and I thought it was really informative. Good video, well done and then as time went on Instagram became more popular and then people started sharing serial killer tattoos on Instagram. In fact, there's an entire hashtag dedicated just to serial killer tattoos. You feel like rolling your eyes for an hour. Go and scroll there. Personally, I feel like there's kind of a spectrum of people who are interested in the real criminal community that you meet on the lighter.
Do you have those people who are like the ones I really liked that documentary about Ted Bundy? You know, it's just looking. whatever is on Netflix as far as documentaries and movies, maybe the fiction movies we talked about and then, more towards the middle, there are those who listen to all the podcasts, read the books they know, watch the documentaries and movies, still that's where I feel like I fall into, you know, I've read a few books about this in the past and I enjoy fiction movies and I also watch documentaries, sometimes a podcast here and there, but overall it's not my thing, but in some ways I consider myself to be in the middle ground of being interested in true crime themes and then you get closer to the Bristow philia site, which is a real philia, people are drawn to those who have committed heinous crimes.
I'm trying to stay monetized even though I feel like it's a waste of time to even try at this point, many say that those specifically young girls who tend to claim they have crushes on school shooters have a high seeking philia, maybe some of they do. I feel like some of them are just trying to be more edgy and show their obsession with true crime again, there's nothing wrong with being interested in true crime, murder, death, everything that goes along with it because it's actually deeply rooted in our psychology and our history as a species so that we are interested. in humans murdering other humans, I mean, throughout history, it's been portrayed in art and poetry and some look for those darker themes on the Internet, some look for them in reality, but there's no denying that it's not It captivates us as a species.
I'm not saying there's anything to be ashamed of when we enjoy the entertainment aspect of true crime and are interested in these horrible crimes. I mean, there's a reason there's a whole Museum of Death where you can see all these photographs and graphs. pictures and reading stories about these horrible crimes humans love it and that's just a fact but there needs to be some kind of self-regulation when it comes to this obsession. I mean, where is the line and when do we cross it? My personal line. If I knew a relative of a victim of one of these murderers, say, could I have a conversation with this person about my interest in his crimes, the murderer's crimes?
I mean, for example, I would never use serial killer products. because I would never want to meet a family member, which is true the odds are really unlikely, but I still think there needs to be a level of respect for the survivors of the victims of these horrible people who committed these crimes . there is sensitivity about the victims that lost their lives, you know they didn't deserve to die and I think in my opinion, rocking someone's face on your shirt who killed people is not sensitive or doesn't address the situation properly so it wouldn't have a search for serial killers or shoot emerges or something like that.
I wouldn't have serial killer arts in my house and I won't have serial killer tattoos on my body. In my opinion, these kinds of things really make them beautiful as people and we can't forget that they are actually terrible. Being human, you know, I've walked through the museum of death in Los Angeles and everywhere you look you can't get away from the graphic images on all the walls and everything that's there, it makes you nauseous because you're faced with this. the reality of what the crimes really were in the gory details of the crime and really puts it into perspective that yes, it's okay to be interested.
I went there on purpose because I knew that in a story there is this fascination that humans have for death. but it's important to realize what you're really interested in, obviously we would never do that. I expect some people probably do, but I hope we wouldn't want to deal with these details in real life. You know, we would never want to face a Murder or being killed ourselves like that is silly and I think the most damaging aspect of us is that we admire or romanticize glamor whatever you want to call it. The biggest problem with that is that it creates an incentive for others to commit similar crimes and I think that's the biggest problem I have with putting a serial killer on your body like on your face or whatever you know we act like they're this kind of celebrities who say ooh when in reality they are terrible people and of course we have to address the problem.
The mental illness aspect of their problems, but once they have crossed the line into committing that crime, I feel like there is not much to do in that situation and they need to be incarcerated for life. I feel like I'm asking a mortician who described it well in his video and his Columbine video where he said the more recognition we give these people, the more encouraging it is for others to follow in their footsteps, ultimately, I mean, just look at the increase. of school shootings since Columbine occurred and many of those people credited Columbine as an inspiration for them.
The more we put their faces on our TVs, on our walls, and even on our skin, the more we romanticize the idea of being a killer. They get fame, notoriety, girlfriends, even fiancés from prison, because everyone loves a bad boy until he does. It murders you. I will never understand the idealization of serial killers. I've made a whole video about it so I'm not going to go into it too much now, today we're talking strictly about tattoos and stuff, but I don't understand it because do you think you're capable of feeling that kind of affection towards another human being that It's not possible when you're a serial killer Sociopaths Psychopaths whatever you want to call them don't feel those emotions so they won't be romantic?
With you you may think that but not everything is real, as I mentioned there is a spectrum of people who are interested in true crime, well there is also a spectrum of serial killer tattoos so let's look at some of them and some will be serial killers and some will be school shooter related things so we are covering serial killers and mass murderers here because there are a lot more killer tattoos than you think. I guarantee you that, first of all, there is the category that I like to subtly call. offensive where it may not be recognizable that it's a serial killer tattoo but it definitely is let's start with this one here we have Jeffrey Dahmer's glasses and the quote below I think it's just the lyrics because I dug deeper into this tattoo and I think it's just lyrics, not an actual quote from Jeffrey Dahmer, but for some reason it's paired with Jeffrey Dahmer's glasses.
I'm not sure why this one is a little more obvious than it is him, but it's still abstract enough that it could only be a man, it's obviously Jeffrey. Dahmer says never leave me and then we have this one, which is a little more graphic: It's Ted Bundy's bite mark that doomed him, so again you couldn't necessarily say it's Ted Bundy's teeth, but if you ask the Regarding it they would tell you the story behind it, why would you do it? why that's not really much why but I actually have my own theories that I'll share at the end we have a quote tattoos blood splatter and it says we all get a little angry sometimes which is apparently a Jeffrey Dahmer quote because they had posted as a quote from Jeffrey Dahmer in hash tag this on the lower back or chest I think it might be his chest this is a quote from Jeffrey Dahmer this is fantasy it's like shooting arrows through my mind from the nothing.
I love how tattoo artists spell Jeffrey Dahmer. I like that they addressed the fact that this isn't for everyone. He says I'm sure this will cheer some people up, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't think the victims' families find this beautiful in any way. I don't think it has anything to do with beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder. I feel like you've crossed a line when you put something about a serial killer because that tells me that you admire them and their work, you know, I understand the awkwardness of saying who your favorite serial killer is because it's a weird question to ask, they just carry it to another level of liking a serial killer.
Being fascinated by one specifically and saying that you know their crimes are strangely morbid and that I'm drawn to the details of this story, but saying that you have a favorite or getting tattoos of specific killers. That just doesn't make any sense to me and then you have this tattoo that's actually of Columbine. This is natural selection and anger. I think this is what was on the Columbine school shooters' t-shirts, so again the words themselves mean nothing. anything but because they're connected to Columbine it's a Columbine tattoo this one just has the signatures of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold written on his hand why it's so admirable about these people like I just want to know I just want I just want to ask these people What do these tattoos have that makes it so fascinating and admirable for you to put them on your body?
These are some examples of what I call subtly offensive tattoos, they are not immediately recognizable. These are serial killer tattoos, but yesThese are definitely serial killer tattoos, next you have another category that is a little more recognizable, but they are still stylized and more artistic, so you can still tell that they are meant to be serial killers or some kind. of murderers in some ways, but they are artistic and stylized, so let's look at some of them, we have this one of Ted Bundy on the back, you can see Manson's back Charles Manson depicted there, so this one is not a direct portrait necessarily like a realistic portrait, but it's still Ted Bundy.
I actually saw a lot of HH Holmes tattoos, which is interesting. I understand that it was more fascinating. There's even an entire season of American Horror Story based on HH Holmes. a stylized art tattoo done by Jim Jones, yes this one might look like a normal old creepy clown but of course it's John Wayne Gacy and then these are a little more obvious, this is one of the most famous tattoos I think on tumblr me too. I feel like everyone wanted it at some point on Tumblr within the real criminal community, they just went crazy over this tattoo and that is of course the Columbine tattoo.
There are many of them, believe it or not, there is also this one that is as sad as it appears. the two shooters dead on the field that says the best day ever, how would you show it to a member of the victims' family or even Dylan's mother who is very active in talking about her son ? Then you get into direct realism portraits. of serial killers just their faces just a picture on the body, so I've seen so many on Jeffrey Dahmer. I swear he's the most tattooed serial killer I've ever seen and it's so wild to me like, oh my god, I get it because he's one.
That also fascinates me mainly because the details of the crimes are so horrible, not leaving out the ladies, although no, no, we have the Aileen Wuornos boys, she is also very tattooed again. This is a famous photo of his very realistic portrait, there is no doubt that it is a lien, we also have more obscure killers, I guess, not as well known as Jeffrey Dahmer, Charles Manson, those guys, you know, we have Albert Fish here, which again is a direct portrait of him but of course this wouldn't be a serial killer tattoo video without a bit of Charles Manson, I mean he's also one of the most tattooed and I definitely see something more stylized done with him most of the time and if you thought it couldn't get any worse than a realistic tattoo of a serial killer there.
It's whole sleeves and back pieces of many many many killers in case one wasn't enough it was never enough it's one thing I can't even justify a killer on your body like that it doesn't even make sense to me but go So. As for putting you like all of them, the most famous serial killers, you're telling me something with that and it's not good, so why do people do this? Why do people put killers in their bodies permanently? I have some theories about why anyone would think this would be okay? First of all, I think they're just overlords of the edge trying to be cool and promote their obsession with the macabre, serial killer horror and true crime content, stuff like that, but let me ask you who isn't. you like true crime nowadays, as we understand it, you like true crime, it doesn't make you more unique or cooler than other people because you have a tattoo of a serial killer, you know it can get your attention, so maybe that's why, another reason I feel like people think this is okay and cool to do is because we're so far removed from the details and the crimes themselves because they happened so long ago that we're just disconnected from them , we may still know all the gory details. but because it didn't happen right in front of us, it's not recent, we're just completely disconnected from all of it, maybe some of these people would have liked to be face to face, up close and personal, with the McCobb details, but I have a feeling that most people wouldn't be able to handle the gory details in real life if it were right in front of their face or under their nose.
I have to say, I just want to add that I don't really blame the tattoo artist that much because they're doing a job, it's not their creative direction, I actually think some of it is, but generally they're just asked to do this and of course, There are certain tattoos that I think should be shunned, you know? I'm going to get into that, but it's just some tattoos that you just don't want to do right that you don't want to be associated with and I feel like there's less of a standard, I guess, when it comes to serial killer tattoos, I mean.
There's one I found on the body cut like they were doing their best most of the time like they didn't care. Some of them seem a little hesitant to post some of these photos that I admire. Glad to hear it. They feel like there's a little bit of weirdness in getting a serial killer tattoo, but overall I don't want to blame the artist, but yeah, they could have turned it down and turned them down, but they still would have gotten it done somewhere else. otherwise I would have done it, so I didn't blame the person who wanted it on their body, besides, it happens to them permanently, it doesn't happen to the artist permanently, you know, to sum up why I think this is so bad is because it promotes murder and you can say no, but it does it 100% because it glorifies these people who committed these crimes and shows other people, hey, maybe I'll be memorialized on people's bodies or on a t-shirt, or People will know my name because I can.
I guarantee you that we know the names of the murderers much more often than the names of the victims and that to me seems backwards and promotes the misconception that killing is something that will bring you fame. You will be known forever in history. and that's a motivator for a lot of school shooters, specifically they're very open about they want a girlfriend or they want fame and they want their face in the news, so I think it's important that we stop giving them all the credit for these horrible things. of putting them on a t-shirt stop putting them on your team you know on television stop putting their faces up stop putting them on your walls don't have artwork of serial killers and definitely don't don't get a tattoo of them, in Ultimately, people will do what they want to do, so my voice will do nothing.
I just wanted to raise awareness about this topic because I feel like they're getting more and more popular as you know people are getting more. and more killer tattoos and it's confusing to me and I think it's wrong but again it's just my opinion, if you have one you do it. I don't like it, but you're going to do what you want, so my opinion is. No matter, let me know your thoughts on all of this below. I still constantly get sent products related to serial killers, glamor icing, and romantic killers, so if you want another video like this with product reviews or something. please let me know below I hope you liked it and I will talk to you soon bye
